The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

She let him pull her up, and said, "Well, I suppose we can do t'at." She nodded and brushed off her pants. Hersigh was heavy as she realized that sitting on the ground made her back hurt, and she had a date with a hot tub. That would be great. "Give me a call if you ever want to show me this Haven of yours. I'll be happy to look and perhaps... even donate to the cause."
Xavia was serious about her offer, she was always looking to help out with their kind. Somehow. Assuming he gave her a reply, she would then watch him walk off toward his work, and she would stand there for a moment... And then she had a really strange feeling, a nasty feeling that someone was watching her besides the animals that Derek had following her. She wanted to call Devon back and insist he at least escort her away from the park, but thought better of it and rubbed at the gooseflesh on her arms.
When she left, there were... indeed... eyes upon her...

She had opted for a picnic at the park and couldn't have picked a better day for it. The sun was bright, the sky was blue and the clouds were fluffy white marshmallows floating through the air. She was setting up the spot where they would eat their dinner... Her mom had helped her cook a bunch of things, though she didn't do any of the work since Xavia said it was for a special person and Mama knew that interfering with a woman cooking for a man, especially one she secretly hoped her daughter would keep seeing because, Lordy, she had never seen Xavia as happy as she was.
Xavia packed her basket with wooden bowls, plates, and went with some glassware she wouldn't miss if it broke... Then she carefully arranged one of those checked tablecloths in the bottom, then was putting in the following:
Lecsó (mixed vegetable stew, made of tomato and paprika, somewhat similar to ratatouille) Rántott sajt, (flat cheese croquette, cheese rolled in breadcrumbs and, deep fried) Vinetta or padlizsán krém (Transylvanian mashed eggplant salad made of grilled, peeled and finely chopped eggplants) Tarhonya (a kind of large Hungarian "couscous", big pasta grain, served as a side dish) Gundel palacsinta (Gundel crepe, stuffed with walnuts and served in chocolate sauce, often flambéed) (Thank you, Wikipedia- Hunagarian Cuisine)
The basket was packed into her van, along with a few bottles of sparkling grape juice to simulate the wine she couldn't really drink anyways, she slid her guitar into the back seat, along with some outdoor throw pillows she borrowed from the patio chairs she had in her back yard. It didn't take her long to get everything else she wanted, like a portable radio. He had said jokingly that he wanted her to sweep him off his feet and she took it as a challenge.
The drive wasn't that long; she chose a smaller park somewhere close to her house, just because it would be easier for her to get to and from her van. The park was relatively quiet on that day, which was great for her, she thought as she put her vehicle in park. She'd pull her phone out and lock her car for the moment, then stick her fob into her pocket, and started walking around to find a place that was kind of secluded but not horribly so, just enough to afford some privacy.
She hit Artair's number on her speed dial, and then waited for him to pick up, the wind ruffling at the red, cotton dress with the flowy skirt and the halter top. Assuming he picked up, she would smile and greet him, “I am here at t'e park, looking for a place to set up our picinic. You here yet?” – She wasn't calling him any pet names yet, but it seemed weird to think of him as some term of endearment just yet. She did know how she felt, otherwise she wouldn't have written a song about him.
She took a few more bites of veggies and then choked a little on a carrot when he made he laugh. "You want me to sweep you off of your feet? I t'ink I already did t'at, lad." She cheekily grinned at him. They would have a good day despite the way she had initially felt... And she would probably stay the night again, kind of reveling in the comfort he had to offer. Maybe they were going to be okay, she thought as they spent time waiting for their food, and the rest of the night would go by slowly and in a relaxed manner.
Delilah watched the lady her mommy brought home. She was very curious why the lady just asked her if she could see her. Her brows puckered in some confusion and she said, "Yeah, priddy." She then giggled a little and stuffed a mouth full of dumpling into her mouth, going, "Mmm!" Apparently, the little girl didn't pay much attention to people when she was eating and getting red sauce all over her face in the process since her motor skills were not the greatest.
Mama smiled and nodded, then sat down next to Delilah to help her out some with her food, as well as to eat her own stuff. She pointed a spoon at Xavia and said, "You... Eat... Feel better." Her accent was much thicker than Xavia's, words slower.
Xavia sighed and served the cabbage and noodle dish for herself, then tucked in. She did something that she wouldn't do out in public, and propped her foot on the chair so her knee was upraised and she was completely relaxed. Her pallor was still kind of ashen, but she was able to eat at least a little bit to start, and mostly to please her mother. She looked over to the invisible girl and said, "Mama is a good cook.
As far as the boarding house went, Xavia was still in the process of restoring some rooms and hadn't gotten anyone living there just yet. Nobody was coming in for dinner, Mama just liked to cook big meals sometimes. Besides, with Derek coming around, there were never leftovers for very long, the boy could eat.

"Aw, you do care," she said cheekily as he spoke of the babies in a doctorly way. It was actually super attractive to her, and probably one of the main reasons she was so fascinated with the man. She took a bite of food, then said a quiet, "Thank you," after a pause because she had forgotten and one mustn't be impolite, right? The hummus was delicious, she thought, and so was the salsa. She chewed some pepper and hummus in a thoughtful manner.
"Rice noodles wit' t'e veggies in it, and some veggie spring rolls sound good to me." She actually started drooling at the mere thought of eating those things. Xavia perked up and said, "Oooh, I will gladly pay for donuts. I don't eat t'ose but t'ey sound lovely right now." She said... Indeed, she hardly ever partook of the pastries because of the sugar and the butter content. She wasn;t about to eat so much as to ruin her fitness, but what harm would one or two donuts do her right now? At least she wasn't going for a bunch of ice cream.... but then that sounded good too, and she ducked her head, "And some ice cream."
With that being said, she glanced over to see what his reaction would be at her lighthearted requests.
She spent a few minutes just... breathing. The sensation of those invisible fingers was felt, she knew Kendra was there, especially when she saw the floating, but formed clothing. She gave a sigh and sat up, murmuring, "I ate too many onion rings. Good, but greasy." She wrinkled her nose. "No, mama knows I am gifted, and she t'inks Lilah is gifted... And I t'ink mama is gifted." She shrugged a little, "But if she is, she hides well." Of course, Mama was old skool. She grew up in a time where being mutant meant she might die, so old habits prohibited her from talking about it very much. "And she knows t'is is a boarding house for gifted. I promise you, she is t'e most chill mom ever when it comes to t'is... She had to live t'rough what I did from a different perspective... When one loses t'eir daughter like t'at, t'ey tend to figure out fast t'at some t'ings don't matter. I promise she likes you already, she doesn't cook and offer food to just anyone."
And then she was out of bed and on her feet. She gestured for Kendra to come downstairs and to the dining room. Mama was already plating food for Delilah, who was freshly washed up and hair brushed out after the mussing it got from her nap. She ate at the goulash with gusto.
Mama saw the two, didn't even at an eye when one was just floating clothes, and then said, "Bout time. Hope you hungry."
She dished put all the pots and pans on the table, serving it family style, and gestured for them to dig in.
"S'posed to do a music video soon, too. Will have to ask if you can come." She was doing this to give opportunity to a budding fashion designer... Also, because generosity was her nature and she simply couldn't help it. She sighed deeply, relaxing again as her eyes started to drift again.
Soon, she was breathing heavy, and clearly sleeping... At least... for several minutes... Until that growl came from her stomach and alerted everyone around that she was hungry.
She kind of chuckled at him as he hugged her. He was so freakin happy over the thought of getting to be a part of her kiddos' lives. Her hand patted his shoulder and she said, "And I am sure you will love t'em just as much." She nodded as he sat back down. "I am glad you are happy about it, I am honored t'at you accept. If somet'ing happened to me, you would take care of t'em like t'ey were yours." That was the job description. "You still game?" After all, babies, kids, etc, were a lot of work.
"Sounds good to me..." she said quietly about the food he was thinking about ordering, "I can eat somet'ing... veggies are fine." She wasn't particularly hungry yet, but she would need to eat, wouldn't she? Xavia wasn't particular at the moment, though the thought of eating onion rings again wasn't such a happy thought even though they were so good. Damned greasy, but good.
Her eyes lifted to Artair and she gave a smile, glad that the song didn't bug him too much. She hoped he didn't read too much into it ... even though she knew what she wrote and knew the feels were real. She didn't even feel intruded upon at knowing he read them over her shoulder as she was writing them, though she normally would feel like that. After all, it was like writing in a diary that would eventually become public due to the nature of the work, but it was fine right then.
It confused her a little as to why she was so willing to be open to Artair when she was closed off to most other men. She would ponder this over veggies, assuming he brought some to her at some point. She thoughtfully nibbled.

"Good, nice to have more friends," she murmured, tucking her hands behind her head and watching the fluffy white clouds floating about in the super blue sky. "It is nice to hear t'e efforts are growing to make a difference in what goes on in t'is world. Hopefully my grandkids will not have to fight t'e way we do now, yes?" She yawned and then sat up, her stomach giving an inhumanly hungry growl from the walking she had done. She wanted a veggie burger so bad right then.
She grimaced a little bit and hoped he didn't hear, then cleared her throat, "I am kind of hungry." That was a given. In the meantime, she put his phone number into her cell, then sent a text saying, "Gotcha" really quickly. "And maybe I wouldn't mind company. It will keep weirdos at bay, wouldn't it?" She was still paranoid.

She pulled a card out of the bag she kept her wallet and gear in, handing him her business information which had her cell number listed since she was usually out and about more than anything. She handed him the card, which read:
Xavia A. Worshahlai - CEO
Rózsavörös Greenhouses, LLC Her address xxx.xxx.xxxx(phone number)
Once he received the card, she said, "T'at is my cell number on t'ere. You seem like you have a good head for business and I am always looking to network. And... We may as well have said we struck up a friendship, yes?" The caramel eyed red head peered at him with some curiosity, now that she was passed the whole... frightened thing. He would figure out, probably, that she was super friendly despite all of the bull-crap she had endured, and that she was one of the most generous souls he would meet.
"Yes, t'ey are bot' wonderful." She commented on what he said about two of her favorite people. Her mouth curled up into a slight smile and she showed that she was easing around him inadvertently by laying back in the grass.
He read over her shoulder without her noticing, and then he said something in English. She froze and turned her head to look at him, her teeth catching her bottom lip. She knew he knew what it was about and who it was about, and she couldn't say anything about it because she didn't know what to say. So instead of answering him about showing him the finished song, which she wouldn't just show lyrics, but rather sing them to him when the time came... She answered about the food.
"I haven't eaten all day," she admitted. She half expected to get a lecture about needing to eat, but then again, he did know she had been upset and it was hard to eat while upset. Xavia closed the well used composition notebook and slipped it back into her purse, pausing long enough to nibble the tip of her thumb, still somewhat in thought about all of this stuff going on. She moved to sit next to him on the couch then, her eyes settling on his face. "I will say I do not t'ink I am up to eating at restaurant, t'ough, too many people for me right now. Not t'at you said anyt'ing about going out," she chuckled.
Her smile was slight as she regarded him, her eyes still tired looking and slightly swollen. "What do you have in mind?"
"Yes, you are Uncle Der Der. I was actually t'inking you could... maybe be t'e godfat'er when it came time for t'em to get baptized. I know you are not Cat'olic... or are you? But I have to have godparents picked out. I am going to ask Kendra too." That way she knew that legally, if the babies had Godparents, and something happened to her... Well, the babies would be okay.
"What?" she asked as he stopped the spar before the real fun could begin. She had more she could show now... He hadn't seen her use the trees to fling her to and fro, only gotten a small glimpse. Her fingers, however, went to her nose and pulled back, only for her to see the blood on her fingertips. What the hell? Something was going on and it was starting to frustrate her to no end, for she didn't have time to keep having to stop her damn training. "What t'e hell?"
A large sigh is heaved and she moved to sit down on one of the little platforms she had set up for her course. She tipped her head back to try and get the bleeding to stop. "Somet'ing is going on." ANd she also had ind of a head ache.

"Natural," she murmured, "I do not like drugs, and half time, t'ey don't work for me anyways... More plant based ones." But that was a given. She wiggled the toes of the foot not being touched at the moment. "Oh, hey... photo shoot soon. I am still under contract for a few more years and have to do enough to sell a few records and pretend to make effort. You want to come?" She was talking to both of them. Derek, so he could have a chance to meet her fabulous make up artist, and Allegra, so she could have an opportunity to see high fashion in action.
"VIP treatment like t'is. Free food... Limo... Can't beat t'at."
