The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

And the guy hung up on her, how thoughtful. She inserted 50 cents once more and called the guy back right away. "Look, I do not appriciate being hung up on. And I am also looking for the resistance. I think we could help each other out if we meet up. Better chance of finding someone and also a better chance of staying out of the camps." She fell silent waiting for the guy to respond.
Cyra muttered to herself then spoke, "My name is Cyra, Rupert gave me this number. He told me that you were part of the resistance or at least knew people that were." She sighed, "I wouold like to meet with you so I can get to the hq of the resistance or at least find members." She waited for his response.
OOC: Feel free not to notice your phone right away, I won't be able to post again till tomorrow morning.
IC: Cyra had found a pay phone, no motel yet though. She sighed and pulled out the crumpled little piece of paper, inserted 50 cents into the pay phone and dailed. She heard it ring, as soon as the person answered, she would say. "Hello, I need to meet you in person. I want to be part of the resistance and I believe you are a member. Where can we meet?" Now for whoever this person was to answer.
Sitting in the Hell Beast, Kitra felt her watch vibrate.
Her eyes widened slightly. <How to do this, and figure this out fast. Ah there we go.>
"Hey Tristan, I'm sorry but I just realized that I have to see a client tonight. I know, odd timing but I have odd clients. If you would pull over here then I can get to my client on my own. Thank you and my apoligies for this evening."
She handed Tristan, Calley and Nika her number, "Please call me if you need anything." She felt her phone vibrate this time.
"Hello... Yes Sir I'm on my way now." The Car had stopped and Kitra stepped out and waved to the others in the Hell Beast. "Yes Sir my sincere apologies. Ok sorry about that Derrick. I had to fool them. Where are you....oh nevermind I see you."
The dark green SUV with Derrick in it, rounded the corner and she got in.
"Kitra, Mr. Antonescu has already informed me where to go."
"Thank you Derrick." Touching her watch she spoke, "Sir, my apologies. i'm on my way now."
OOC: Sorry guys. If you want to call me do so in my apartment thread and thanks.
Hopping into the Hell Beast, Kitra had found herself next to Calley, who had ironically called her his savior after sending a knife his way, by accident though. Nika was sitting on the other side of Calley and Tristan was driving ,well speeding, in the driver's seat.
"Calley, you are okay right? I mean that knife didn't graze you at all?"
Kitra had been listening to the sirens as she said this and had also kept an eye on the following police cars when she realized that there were none anymore. She then spotted a dark green SUV and smirked slightly.
<Well, I guess its a really good thing that I can't shake Derrick off. I'm not sure I want to know what he did to get rid of them though. He is under Mr. Antonescu's employment so, I really don't want to know.>
"Tristan? I think you can slow down now the police aren't following us anymore. I think they were distracted by something else or they just lost us. Either or, we're in the clear now."
Kitra pulled up the boy sitting on the ground, grabbed Nika's bloodied hand and started running. She was following Tristan. It looked like he was heading for a vehicle.
Kitra looked for the knife only to find it lodged in a tree and the other boy being pinned to the ground by the cat girl.
Realizing what happened and where the boy had been sitting. Kitra walked over to the very pissed off cat girl.
"Look, I'm sorry. I knocked away that guy's knife over there." She pointed to the now one armed bounty hunter. "My guess is that the one you happen to have threatened was the one who dodged it. And he accidently hurt you in the process. So, um sorry."
I'm Kitra and I believe the other guy is Tristan. Who might you be cat gal?"
Kitra looked at the boy sitting on the ground. "And you are?"
Seeing that two of the bounty hunters were busy with the cat gal and rock man, she looked at hers with the two very long knifes.
"So, you want to play with metal huh?"
With a slight frown, the bo in Kitra's hands had disappeared at those words and two short and shiny metal poles had appeared.
"Shall we?" Not expecting an answer Kitra lunged forward. He met her poles with his knifes. Sparks flew as metal hit metal with incredible force.
Kitra stepped back slightly and her frown appeared as she let one of her poles fade and a wicked looking dagger appeared in its place.
She lunged forward bringing her pole up in a feint, then brought the dagger slashing at his left wrist. Her pole had knocked away one of his knifes and he had blocked her slash at his wrist. His remaining knife sliced throught the air towards her face.
She leaned backwards and a little to the left, avoiding getting her face sliced open. Which would not have been a pleasent experience. She had leaned enough to aviod the face but still got a nasty gash on her right shoulder. Kitra had realized she was getting tired too quickly and needed to end this.
Kitra brought her daggers up and sliced through the air blocking the bounty hunter's remaining knife with one of hers jarring her shoulder. Her other dagger bit flesh and then knicked shoulder bone.
An image frome her sketchbook appeared in her mind. <Well, that would work. Not lethal but it will still work.>
She then frowned even more as her dagger faded away and beads of sweat appeared and a one handed, very sharp and shiny scythe appeared and she sliced downwards and took the already injured arm off with that lethal slice.
He went down with a strangled moan. Kitra wondered how here other fellow nighttime strollers were doing. She also mused on what direction the bounty hunter's knocked away knife went.
Kitra stood, "First; why would I go with you? Two; I am not going with you. Third; I don't like bounty hunters, if thats what you are. And fourth; I just don't like you."
A throwing dagger appeared in Kitra's hand then was gone as it lodged itself into one of the men's shoulders. Then it disappeared leaving a gaping hole.
She then held a bo in her hands. Glaring she spoke her voice like ice, "Who's next?"
After finally getting rid of Derrick, Kitra had walked to Central Park...
Sitting on a bench in the large clearing, staring up into the sky were two boys.
"Well, hello. Nice night isn't it?" Kitra had strolled over to the two boys and had plopped down on the bench. She then looked up at the sky, "Kitra, whats yours?"
Kitra laughed, "Fine then, well played. Pick a drawing that you think is interesting, a smaller one will do." 'So he does have brains after all. That's good. It's a risk showing him my mutation, but hey risks need to be taken.' She turned slightly and looked outside, it was getting dark now. Dark enough that if she had too, she could show him her wings or her whips. If he didn't believe what he would see. Kitra turned back to Zeke, contemplating on what would happen. She spoke quietly, "The resistance is a joined band of each of the factions you may have heard of. There are members from Xavier's Sister school and members from Sanctuary." She shrugged slightly, "Many different people."
She sighed,"The reason I asked for your name and abilities are simply for security measures." She looked him straight in his eyes, "It's good to be cautious I'll give you that much, but how do I know that you aren't setting me up? I do believe that's what you think I'm doing." She smirked, "Doesn't surprise me much though. So take your pick and make it quick. I'm not gonna hang around much longer after I use my abilities. You would do best to get a move on as well then. Those Stalkers are quick on the draw." Kitra finally went silent, hoping that she had said enough, but not too much.
"Yes we plan on getting our people out of the camps. We'll be started raids on them soon." Kitra sat back slightly and studied Zeke for a minute or so. 'Hmm, he seems trustworthy, or perhaps a fool. Kaz will have to be notified and a background check done on him.' She tapped her foot, "What are your powers and your full name? If you want we could step outside." She looked at him, wondering at his response now. She'd gone business like and it was an odd thing compared to her normal personality.
Kitra looked up and half smiled. 'He said that in public, I don't know whether to be impressed or horrorified. Hmm, well here goes nothing.' She nodded and spoke quietly, "I was thinking it was something like that. I also dislike how our kind is being treated. Would you like to help do something about it?" 'What will he do now? This will be interesting indeed. Of course it could become a disaster as well.' She took another sip of her hot cocoa, which was going lukewarm. She stared at her cup for a moment then got up and ordered a new one. A few minutes later she sat back down, looking carefully at Zeke wondering what he would do.
Kitra shrugged, "Apparantly not all the mutants are in check though. Some groups prefer causing trouble." She paused and sipped her hot cocoa, contemplating what to say next. "I've seen mutants that cause trouble just because they want to. Others I believe, would prefer peace and living with humans quietly. But they aren't allowed now." She grimaced, "Personally, most mutants aren't that bad, just misunderstood. Simply because they're feared and not wanted." She looked up and eyed Zeke cautiously, "So why did you really ask that?" ' Be careful, this could lead into serious trouble. But, whats said has been said, let's see what he does now.'
OOC: My apologies about the lateness of this reply*
IC:
Kitra sniffed and blew her nose. She was still a little confused, but that was somewhat expected. She took a small sip of her hot cocoa and smiled, "Thank you Zeke. It means a lot, I miss Zelek as well." A few minutes of silence passed, her mind desperatly trying to not go crazy due to the many thoughts running through her head. As she took another sip of her cocoa, Zeke asked his next question.
Kitra nearly choked, 'Is he crazy!! Asking something like that in public. How the hell do I answer that?! Oh geez, I've gotta say something!! Ok, ok, Kit calm down, just say something relatively cool and something thats not gonna pinpoint me.' Kitra smiled at Zeke, "Sorry 'bout that. Wasn't expecting a question like that. Not a good public topic lately." ' Ok, you're doing ok. Just keep talking and don't say anything stupid girl!' She shrugged, "Mutants are people too, what's happening now is cruel and unjust. The government obvisously is frightened of them." She inclined her head before taking a sip of her hot cocoa, "They can do things most can't, what people cannot understand....Well, they fear it." She stared at Zeke, "What do you think of it?" ' Can you be more stupid girl?!! You're saying you sympathasize. Great....I hope he doesn't call me on it. I'm screwing up here....'
