The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Left foot, right foot, left foot, right foot. At least she got stuck in somebody's body who did not have a problem walking. No offense to the man, but Fade would go crazy if she ended up in Professor Xavier's body, although it was a funny thought. This was not funny though, not funny at all. As he hurried down the street, walking with a bit more of a butt shake than usual for men, Fade was used to walking in a straight line! However, her walk could not even go in a straight line because she ran into the biggest discomfort: her 'boy parts'!
Although Fade had already been trying it the whole day, her powers did not transfer over to his body, so what power did she have? What was her name anyways? Focusing on her powers, she walked down the street, attempting to use them when someone bumped into her and fell down immediately. Wow, so this guy had the power to push people over, weird. When he hurried down to help the man that fell, his mouth gapped open. Good Lord! He was convulsing! Or something, what ever his body was doing, Fade did not like one bit and she tried to steady him, but everyone who witnessed started up with the dreaded word:
"MUTANT!" Some people fled while others tried to help the man who was having a Seizure. "I'm so sorry, I'm soooo sooo sorry. I can't explain, I can't-" she started, raising his voice to a higher pitch and placing his hand over his mouth. Now he looked awkward. Not knowing what else to say, she let a tear run down her face and stormed away from the scene, running on his toes. Once she was far enough away, the pace decreased only to hear a scream coming from the building beside her. It was a child's scream and she dreaded she had given a child a seizure. Running inside, he ran around, searching for the child when he found the door to the boys bathroom.
"He-hello?" he asked, knocking on the door. After only a second of waiting, it dawned on her: she was a man, she could bloody well go into the boys bathroom if she wanted to! Opening the door, he walked in to see a horned boy staring in the mirror. Maybe he just grew his horn! Or maybe he had a zit...? "What? What is it? What is wrong?"
Whether those that this girl, apparently named Aura, had killed had done worse to others, it was not worth a kill, at least not in Fade's book. While she had lived a tough life and was used to fighting for what she believed in, the Mansion taught her that she did not need to take revenge, that she could just start a life for herself. While she was probably one of the more conflicted members of the team, her temptation was theft, not murder. The smell of blood was unpleasing.
"You have seen these two killing others?" Without witnessing, Fade could hardly find a reason for killing them, not as if she would do so herself, but it would seem some people just reacted like that. "You killed him because he was human? You put yourself on the same level as the humans that have killed everyone you love," she reminded Aura, but she doubted the pink aura-air filled girl cared.
"Aura? I have heard of you, just a little, not even enough for a last name or a power." After moments of mental deliberation, she finally decided to turn invisible. Leaping back down from the edge in her invisible form, she snaked near Aura, but kept her distance. "I am Fade. Just guess what I can do," she said before pulling away and climbing on the little roof shed. If they did not agree, it just seemed like there would be a battle and she was unprepared. While this Aura girl looked cute and appeared to be harmless, it was certain she would act if need be, or out of pure boredom.
Who said a girl can't have fun by herself? Fade was busy crawling around the city, climbing buildings while invisible, watching the street crowd below her and humming a small tune. Up one building jump one building, she hummed, saying the words in her mind before leaping onto a rooftop and regaining her posture. Just as she had landed, she heard a whizzing noise and then a loud crash, something broke a window. Judging by how the window broke, from one small piece to a larger radius, it was a bullet that broke through. Now who the hell was shooting bullets through windows? Deciding to investigate, Fade remained invisible and skittered to the rooftop.
Upon the roof, there was a woman, and below the roof, on the ground, the remains of a man. This woman seemed dangerous, so it was probably not the best idea to attack or approach and say something stupid like 'You are under arrest for the murder of whoever is down on that street'. Still, it was best there was somebody that stood up to her. Turning Visible, Fade stood on the edge of the room, not the brightest of ideas, but she had her feet claws dug in to keep from being pushed off. Her arms were crossed and her eyebrow was raised. "Didn't enjoy his company? I hate to tell you this, but America's a land where life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are every man's right. You can't strip someone of their life here, not in this city," she said rather coolly. Great, now she sounded like some kind of superhero, then again, she pretty much was.
The sudden urge to run into the room again and look herself in flooded over Fade's confused body. Shit! He had figured out that this man doesn't drink in the morning. "Ah, well usually I don't, today is particularly troublesome though. I cannot decide what to do about it," she said, speaking with the best vocabulary as she could at the time. Maybe she could just fall asleep and be Fade again, which clicked on her: did she have her power?
When Aura looked away, Fade attempted to turn herself invisible, but it was not working. Really? Had this man had a different power that she had to get used to? Oh joy, what fun this would be she mentally sighed. This was not the vacation she had been planning for a long time, maybe a beach could have sufficed, not a MAN'S BODY!
"Would you care for some breakfast then?" she asked, then immediately realized that Fade had no clue where the hell the kitchen was! Maybe this man did, but not Fade! Hopefully Aura would lead the way. Now if someone could just give her the name of the person she was at the time, that would be great. She did not want to introduce herself as Jenny. Bad idea
Well, she reacted, a bit odd it seemed, but then again, she was absolutely crazy, what did Fade expect? She asked Fade how...well...he was and Fade had to rack her mind. First off, who the hell was she? Or he? Who had short nearly bald hair and knew Aura? Even lived in the same building as her. Possibly Aura knew what happened, but Fade's head would be chopped off if Aura found out it was really Fade in this body. What if she could get Aura drunk and then say something like that and later blame it on the alcohol. Time for a drink.
"Oh, I'm just fine, a little drowsy, but I'm thinking a good scotch might do the trick," Fade lied, hoping that she could get her information by this. Then again, what if Aura was not a drinker? What if she hated drinkers? Oh no, this was becoming a disaster. "Got any meds to fix your headache?" Stupid question too, what if she hated meds? Now that Fade was becoming paranoid, she took a deep breath and sort of puffed out her chest. She looked like a man, she needed to act like a man.
Scotch, yes, that was manly. Meds, no, not manly. In the future, don't mention medications and just tell her to suck it up. There were too many problems figuring out her status in other peoples lives, how could she figure out what this unknown man's status was? Scotch, she needed to think more about scotch, the rich people liquer, and this man looked rich.
Ah morning time! It's when the birds are chirping, the sun is shining and you DON'T HAVE HAIR?! Lurching to her feet, Fade reached up to feel her hair, but it wasn't there! All that was left felt like a short carpet that you could spell your name in if you moved your fingers around in the proper direction. Scrambling up, she stumbled out of bed and ran towards the direction of the bathroom until THUMP! Where the hell was the bathroom? Why was there a wall? Her bed was bigger, and her hands were...UGH hairy!
When she finally found the bathroom, she looked at her reflexion and immediately slapped herself and jumped back into bed. "Go back to sleep, Jenny, go back to sleep, it's all a bad dream," she repeated, clutching the sheets in her man form. After a few minutes of hiding, she finally thought things through. Well, if she needed to get out of this form, she needed to figure out who the hell she was and where the hell she was. Growling, Fade got to his feet and left the room. Outside of the room and still in his jamies, Fade immediately recognized where she was: The Sanctuary. What else could go wrong?
Keeping his posture, he walked down the halls until he found a girl saying no to herself. What a strange woman. Wait, no, this was a member of the Order, this Aura, so he could remember from the Brawl. Trying to sound like the apparent Order Member Fade had just become, he spoke up. "Why hello there, Aura, beautiful morning, is it not?" Eek! Her voice was so deep, and this thing throbbed up and down in her throat. A freaking adam's apple? She had that? That meant she had a different, oh God...
I know I just got back, but there are some things going down within the next few days that I'm unsure of. I think I'll be able to get internet. but I'm heading over to Hawaii for today, then tomorrow I go to Guam, then the next day I go to Tokyo, then I think that same day I go to Okinowa (sorry if I spelt it wrong). Spend a day there, then head on back through all of that, so I am not 100% sure I can get internet. I'll try!
So I was going to make one for everyone that asked, but I only had time to make you one before my flight to Japan. Lucky you! Here you go, I hope you like it!
Hey guys, I'm back from the Cabin. There were 47 members of my family there and like 10 couldn't make it. During my trip, I:
- jumped off a bridge into a river - swam across a lake and back with my dad, brother and sister - caught snakes, frogs, fish, bugs and all sorts of stuff - learned how to make dreamcatchers - made a bunch of tye-dye - was attacked by nine children under the age of 6 - tipped over in a canoe - partied with my cousins - hiked for a few hours around the mountains - saw all sorts of different animals and their babies - broke my flip flops - watched the entire first season of True Blood - and MISSED MRO!
