The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Lizzy found herself a lot more calm playing there in the openness of the park. Since the man and his mistress left her sight completely, Lizzy was just able to play. For a little bit, she pondered what she would play for the subway crowd. She wracked her brains for a bit, but remembered Eagle-Eye Cherry’s “Save Tonight”. It played on the radio the other day and Lizzy looked up the guitar tabs. It wasn’t perfect in memory, so Lizzy began to work it out. She knew that tomorrow she would have to sing in her own voice instead of using her ability, so it was good practice for her. It was almost like when she used to be a part of the school choir.
Her rendition of “Save Tonight” wasn’t perfect, and Lizzy knew that. There were a couple trouble spots she had, which meant she needed to look up the guitar chords later that night if she really wanted to play it in the subway tomorrow. Lizzy stopped for a little bit because she had that odd feeling that someone was watching her. It didn’t surprise her because of how large Central Park is, but she felt it nonetheless. She rotated her head around and the only person she saw near her was a young boy. Well, he wasn’t that young but not that young either. Lizzy had to guess he was maybe 15 or 16. The boy was leaning against a tree watching her, or he was staring over in her direction. There wasn’t much else around them so Lizzy assumed he was watching her.
It’s a good thing I didn’t practice my ability, Lizzy thought to herself. That was exactly the thing she tried to avoid. There was no way she wanted a repeat of Giddings especially in New York City with a complete stranger. There was something about the boy though. He looked nice and harmless enough, so Lizzy waved to him asking him, "Did you want to try?” Lizzy’s guitar was like her baby, but she was willing to teach a nice looking teen. Who knows? She might inspire someone to take up a hobby. If not, well maybe Lizzy just met a fellow music lover.
Hey Streak! Well Lizzy doesn't live in the mansion. I'd love for her to eventually join the X-men though. She lives in NYC though so either of them could possibly run into each other.
Ashkay, I think Agnes would be really interesting! Lizzy pretty much lives and breathes music. She makes money playing her guitar near the subway entrance. So those two would have the music thread between them.
So I'm the new girl around here... I think it's obvious but you might not realize it, but I'm here C: Anyways... is anyone up for threading with me? I don't really know anyone here that well and Lizzy certainly doesn't know anyone here. I guess just PM or reply here if you're up for it!
Lizzy loved Central Park. She loved the feel of breeze on her face as it scattered her long blonde hair behind her. She loved the cool, green grass caressing her exposed legs. She loved the way she could forget about everything in the world. All she had to do was sit there in the grass, close her eyes, and soak up the sun.
How was it that she had never been here until a few years ago? To Lizzy, it felt like she had lived here forever. Even in the freedom of Central Park, Lizzy still found a way to remind herself about what happened two and a half years ago. She found a way to remind herself about discovering her voice ability in front of the entire school. There was no way to deny that she was in fact a mutant.
Shaking her head, Lizzy reminded herself that was in the past, and so many good things have happened since then. It was high school after all. She pulled out her guitar from the shadows of its case and began to play in the park. It had been a long day singing and playing for passing strangers in the subway. Today wasn't a good payday either - only some loose change and a few singles. Now, all she wanted to do was to relax and play for fun. No one to serenade or persuade for their loose change. The only person she cared about in that instance was herself. Lizzy began to play soothing chords and slowly lose herself in the music.
But of course, her peace playing her guitar was interrupted. Some man, walking around a few feet away from Lizzy with his arm wrapped around a beautiful woman, began to chat loudly to the receiver of his phone call. He was going on and on saying things like, "Honey, you know I would never forget our dinner plans tonight." It was obvious to Lizzy the man's deceitfulness.
As the man and his mistress walked out of earshot from Lizzy, she thought, This would be a good time to practice. She looked around her to see if anyone was in hearing distance of her. She didn't see anyone, so she began talking in the man's voice, "Honey, you now I would never forget our dinner plans tonight Instead, I'll forget about those promises I made to you so long ago when I said I'll love you forever and ever. I found a new, prettier model, but I'll be there for dinner still!"
Lizzy absolutely hated cheating men. When a girl invests so much into a guy, she should be treated properly. He should be the knight in shining armor, and Lizzy hated to see cases when the shining armor is only a bit of cardboard and foil. Taking a deep breath, Lizzy began to play her guitar more as she tried to forget the man and his mistress.

Character
Personality: Lizzy is a personable girl and gets along with strangers pretty well. She won’t go up and talk to them randomly, but when she finds herself in a conversation with them, Lizzy is found to be very friendly. However, Lizzy can be very impatient with people. She wants to get work done correctly and by the rulebook so those who try to deter her from doing so, her temper will flare. Hobbies/ Interests: Lizzy loves music. She can play the guitar and the piano and her singing ability isn’t too bad either (but that could have a bit to do with her mutation). She also loves to read. Specifically, she loves those cheesy romance novels because she dreams of having her prince come and sweep her off her feet. Job or part time job and description: (if applicable) She makes money singing and playing her guitar in the subway in New York City. Fears/ phobias/ concerns: Absolutely hates snakes because she woke up with one only inches away from her face when she went camping with her father as a young child. Special talents: (not related to mutation) She can play the guitar and the piano
Morality
Good/ bad/ neutral/ other: Miss Calver would be on the good side because she’s a bit of a goody two-shoes. She’s grown up around humans her entire life, and she just can’t turn against them. Her parents still love and support her even though she’s a mutant. One day she hopes that mutants will just be accepted in society and no one will make a big deal out of it. Lizzy doesn’t open up to a lot of people about her powers because her power blends in extremely well, but sometimes she wishes she could show off because Lizzy thinks her power is just awesome.
Mutations
Mutation description: She has the power to mimic voices/sounds. She can do an exact copy of any sound she hears and, like with regular speaking, can either produce that sound softly or loudly. Strengths: She can deceive people into thinking they are someone else just by the sound of her voice. Weaknesses: Her voice is her only weapon. If someone sees her speaking in let’s say a man’s voice, it would be obvious it’s not really them speaking. She can only mimic voices that she’s heard as well. She can’t make up voices that she’s never heard before. Lizzy can also mimic people’s voices for only about five minutes before she has to rest using her normal voice.
Secondary mutation description: Lizzy can mimic high-pitched noises loudly. It's like instead of screaming like a regular person she can scream a high-ptiched noise like the ding on a wine glass. Strengths: Hearing these kinds of noises louder than intended can hurt one's ears. The worst damage Lizzy can do is slow down whoever hears it. The pain would be hard for people to endure so until Lizzy's special scream stops, they wouldn't be able to move easily. There would be some ringing in their ears for a bit too. Weaknesses: Lizzy has to have heard the noise before. Also, she can only do this for a very short amount of time because it's like screaming. Screaming uses quite a bit of breath and it begins to hurt after a little bit, so Lizzy's special scream can only be prolonged for a little bit. Also, if she’s susceptible to hurting her own ears if she doesn’t use some sort of earplugs for high-pitched tones.
Fighting Style
Explanation: She’s not one for fighting much, but will if she must. If she can, she’ll try to deceive her enemies if she can hide and speak in their leader’s voice. If that’s not possible, she’ll need earplugs and scream a very high pitch – like the feedback on speakers or the highest note on a piano – as loud as she can. Pros for fighting style: It’s possible she can confuse her enemies if she speaks in their leader’s voice. Also, her enemies wouldn’t be able to stand the high pitch she screams at them. Cons for fighting style: She doesn’t know actual combat, so she can only stun rather than fight or kill.
Faction Allegiance The X-men/ The Order/ The NYPD/ Unaffiliated: Currently Unaffiliated
History Of Your Character: Elizabeth was born to Albert and Cora Calver in Giddings, Texas on June 24, 1992. Her father worked for the city of Giddings as a police officer, while her mother was a stay-at-home mom.
She grew up normally: went to the public schools, had friends, had a good relationship with her parents. Her love became music at an early age. Her father used to play guitar in a band back in college while her mom knew piano. From her musically gifted parents, she learned how to play both the guitar and the piano. She even became actively involved in her school choir in order to develop her voice more.
Her life turned around her senior year of high school. It was the pep rally for the school football team who had made it to state. This was their giant send off before they played their state rivals. Lizzy was the student representative in charge of introducing the choir who was about to sing their school fight song. The principal said a few words and turned it over to Lizzy. She began talking, but not in her own voice. She perfectly mimicked the principal’s voice, and she couldn’t stop it. The whole school heard it, and for the next few minutes Lizzy couldn’t stop talking in other people’s voices. She was so embarrassed that she ran out of the gym. When a teacher approached her to try to comfort her, she screamed a high pitch at her. The pain from that pitch hurt the ears of anyone around them.
Since then, Lizzy’s mother, Cora, decided to homeschool Lizzy. Not only that, but they decided to get away from Giddings and start fresh. They moved to New York City. Lizzy finished up high school and started to work on controlling her ability. Her parents know how hard it’s been for her to adjust, and they’ve been helping her every step of the way. Albert got a new job in New York. He is now a security guard for a local law firm, and Cora is still a stay-at-home mom.
Lizzy didn’t want to go to college or at least not yet, so she’s been working on her music. The blessing in disguise is that if she wants to sing like Adele or Lady Gaga she can, but she doesn’t have to when she wants to sing her own tunes. To pick up a little cash, she plays her guitar down by the subway. She hopes one day she’ll be able to pay for an apartment on her own, but currently it’s just not an option with living in New York
Roleplay Where did you learn about this site?: I actually googled “x-men proboards rpg” and this came up! I discovered rp a few weeks ago, and I thought x-men would be an awesome rpg! So here I am! Do you have any other characters on MRO, if so who: Nope. Sample RP: It was just another day in New York City for Lizzy. She strapped her acoustic guitar to her back and left her fair-sized apartment. Her walk down the street was interesting as always because Lizzy eavesdropped on people’s different conversations and silently imitate their voices to herself. She had to make sure no one around her would identify what she was actually doing. People probably thought she was just a crazy person instead.
Ever since her initial discovery of her ability, Lizzy became a bit of a people watcher. Sometimes she would just sit on a bench in Central Park and as people zoomed past her going about their day, she would imitate their voices to herself. She found that in doing so, she could control her ability better. There was no way she wanted another outburst like what happened at school a couple of years ago.
Lizzy found her usual spot just down the subway stairs about three blocks from her apartment. A few other usuals were setting up their spots as well. Lizzy waved to them as she tuned her guitar. There weren’t many people Lizzy knew her ago since she started being homeschooled, so the other artists and homeless folks near the subway entrance were the closest things Lizzy had to friends. They were nice enough people, and a couple of them would come up to her while she took a break to compliment her on her singing.
The guitar was tuned and Lizzy had her guitar case opened in front of her. Some days were slower than others, but Lizzy began to sing. She began with a few Adele songs followed by original Lizzy creations. All she could do was sing and play to her heart’s content and wait for somebody to come along and give a generous donation to her guitar case.
