The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Drew grinned tentatively. Drinks and ladies tonight. X-Men stuff later. Though if Sam thought that Drew wouldn't be preoccupied with it for a while he had another thing coming. Becoming an X-Man was something he'd sort of dreamed about ever since he'd heard of them properly. The fact that Kealey and Sam could both be counted in their number just added to his zeal. So yes, the ladies were good looking and booze was good (as nearly all free booze is), Drew's mind was still partially elsewhere. Deciding that he needed to step up his training. Wondering if he should find a weapon. And emphatically deciding that there was no way he'd be wearing spandex or anything of the sort, a la Saph. Nice to look at if you had the body for it but no, not on this Kentucky boy.
Turning his attention back to the conversation Drew sat at Sam's side and smiled. Might've been called a grin but it was more a smile. Sam was great at this but considering his reputation around the school that wasn't very surprising. Facts were that his boss was attractive and a good talker. Drew figured it'd be better to let him do most of the talking and was proved right when the three gals joined them for drinks. He smirked at Sam when he toasted and Drew picked up his beer and toasted right back.
Right now was time to forget all the important stuff and enjoy himself. So once the ladies were seated and he'd quaffed some of his beer, Drew smiled at them.
"So, what lovely names might you lovely ladies have?"

Gargoyle called for him in a higher pitched voice than she had previously used. Two floppy puppy ears perked at the noise and Drew swiveled his overly large puppy head toward Gargoyle for a moment. Then he went back to the fun (and floofy now!) tail. However the tail was now buried under miles, Drew was sure it was miles but distance was tricky from this height, of furry backside. His entire body seemed to pout for just a second. Then he was being licked and threatened by Shortstuff. If he could have then he would have smirked. Instead he just hopped right up and licked Shortstuff right back. All over the furry cat face he licked while sporting what he assumed was a stupid looking puppy grin.
Silly cat. As if he wanted to eat fuzzbutt's tail. Nope, Drew was just being as annoying as possible while he could blame it on being a puppy. Shortstuff seemed to already deem dogs the stupidest creatures on earth. So enforcing his stereotype while getting some revenge? It made Drew grin even as he ceased licking the cat's face and started hopping around an barking. It was play time! They needed to play with him or he might break something else! Drew bounced around the large cat and then around Gargoyle.
"Arf! Arf Rrrruff!"
One particularly energetic bound landed him wonky and down the puppy went in a tangle of limbs. Hrmph, he was much less clumsy on two feet. Drew struggled back to his feet and sat in front of Gargoyle waiting for his next chance to play. Or his next chance to irritate Shortstuff. Didn't matter which.

Drew chuckled as his call and Gina's desire for food got the better of her and she fell. After a brief attempt to drag Agnes down with her that the gargoyle didn't follow through with the gargoyle got up to seek nourishment. With the arrival of the pizza it was time for food. Drew set the spinner aside and walked over to the twister mat. With a grin he held his hand out to Agnes.
"Well looks like we have a winner! Shall we go seek the pizza with the others?"
Grabbing on to one of Agnes' arms, Drew hauled her to her feet as gently as he could. Once he was certain she was steady on her he slung an arm around her shoulders and began guiding her toward pizza.
"To the winner go the spoils. In this case pizza and a prize."
Coming in view of Rebecca, Darren, and Gina; Drew grinned.
"And in this case the prize for the winner is a kiss from our beautiful princess. Isn't that right Rebecca?"
Drew winked at the assembled group as he placed Agnes right in front of Rebecca. He'd spent the entire twister game putting the group in awkward positions. With the game over Drew had a mind to go out with a bang. If it went poorly...well he could just nick a couple of slices of pizza and seclude himself in his room where the vengeful birthday party couldn't get him.

Whatever the large orange furrball thought of Drew's tactics didn't matter. It was underhanded and more importantly it worked. Drew Puppy's appeal to Gina with the puppy eyes and whining had encouraged the fat cat to move. Drew scrambled to his feet and eyed the shirt he had been dragging. It was his shirt but now Short Stuff and the Gargoyle Girl, Gina was her name he thought (puppy thoughts having made recall a little more difficult), might play with him! Besides, he could try for some puppy revenge for the squishing! All thoughts of the shirt were abandoned as Drew wheeled toward the fat cat with tail wagging.
"Urf!"
As fast as his long and ungainly puppy legs could take him Drew scrambled up the side of the flopped over tiger to perch on the furrball's stomach. He stood there for only a second before jumping down and deciding that the long, elegant, stripey tail would make a much more fun toy! With a quick scamper, and a single fall, Drew ran for the tail and swatted at it with one paw before attempting to seize it in his mouth. It would be fun for tug of war!

A grin was very much warranted when Rebecca blatantly ignored what the spinner said in favor of calling out something that would be more interesting. Unfortunately it seemed he wouldn't get to see more since the pizza arrived just then and Rebecca went off to get it. While calling on Darren for aid. The poor guy was currently stuck on the mat so Drew wasn't entirely surprised when he pulled something straight out of the comics. Around here the stretching maneuver wasn't all that strange so Drew shrugged it off as he watched Agnes and Gina rearrange themselves per Rebecca's orders.
Neither one looked like they would last much longer and Gina was starting to whine for pizza. Drew shook his head as he picked up the spinner and spun.
Huh, what do ya know? It actually landed on something useful!
"Right then my lovely competitors. Left foot yellow."
Judging by the girl's positions that would cause at least one of them to fall, thereby letting both girls get pizza. Drew tossed the spinner aside and stretched out in his seat. He'd stick around for pizza and then probably cut out.

Second language? What was....oh yeah! That meant she'd spoke something else first yeah? So that was the funny talking. Weird. Weird didn't matter though because they were off to see the wizard! The wonderful wizard of food! Or eating. He didn't look too wonderful either. More like sloppy. Ugh. At least he was here with Andrea instead of that guy. Andrea did the talking and the challenging and that was totally alright by Drew. Really! He didn't want to talk right now. Nope. Besides, now there was food coming and they were going to eat it and...three hundred dollars. Did they have three hundred dollars?
Drew didn't have three hundred dollars.
Did Andrea have three hundred dollars?
Maybe it had just appeared! Yeah, that was probably it. Andy wouldn't bet with money they didn't have. That would just led to more punching! Drew didn't wanna punch now. He wanted to hang out with Andy and have fun! But food! There would be food soon and they'd eat it! Nothing could go wrong because Andy wouldn't bet with money they didn't have. Nope, so Drew was gonna sit down and eat with them and maybe win some money for him and Andy if they beat these guys!

Rebecca told him what she'd meant and Drew grinned just a bit. Costumes and comic books and all that? She didn't precisely strike Drew as the type for that but who was he to judge?
"Well you'll have to let me know when the next one is. Don't want to miss out on you in a costume again."
They grew quiet as a waiter appeared to take their drink order. Drew glanced over the drink selections again before responding.
"Uh, just some green tea I guess."
Drew didn't recall having had it before so it would be another unique experience. As for appetizers...well he just wasn't going to risk them. Not at the moment anyway. It would be interesting enough just to try the sushi. With their drink orders written down the waiter departed to retrieve the drinks and left them to studying their menus. Drew was studying his menu at least. Mostly because he wasn't entirely sure what to say next. Hmmm...

Good puppy! He was a good puppy! Drew's tail waved merrily from side to side. Praise for being a pain in someone else's posterior was awesome! He dropped the pants leg as Calley moved to wander over to Gina and licked her cheek a good half dozen times. Then he backed off and sat down, tail still wagging this way and that. Gina could get up and then Gina could play with him! Yeah that would be fun! Annoying the tiger wasn't fun anymore. Now Drew wanted to play with Gina! A feline protest that Calley only weighed a half ton was all the warning Drew got. Before he could run anywhere, Drew was pinned under a half ton of orange and black fur.
"Urf!"
He wiggled and squirmed but trapped as he was beneath a massive tiger flank Drew was going nowhere. Blasted cute shifter boy. Well, if he was going to do that then Drew would use one of the ultimate puppy weapons! He swiveled his fuzzy head at Gina, turned on the puppy dog eyes, and whined. He whined and begged Gina, in the way of puppies, to move the big mean kitty. Why he would be Gina's bestest friend ever if she'd move the big mean kitty!
Gina had after all been paying him a lot of attention before the fat cat had barged in. Drew was willing to bet that she would fall for the adorable puppy routine easy as pie.

Rrrrrr! It was a most fearsome puppy growl that crawled out of his throat as the winged girl, the more human part of his mind helpfully named her Gina, tried to coax him to coming over to her. His shirt! His! Maybe she didn't want the shirt but it was his shirt and she needed to know that! When his sharp puppy ears picked up on Short Stuff catching up fast Drew darted past the winged girl only to hear a thud. He whirled around to spy a tiger flopped in a semi-regal fashion on top of Gina! A tiger! Had Short Stuff shifted? Considering that the tiger didn't look to be in a hurry to maul Gina Drew guessed so. But that didn't matter. No what did matter were the pants! Just hanging there around the cat's back legs. The shirt was dropped and forgotten as Drew leaped toward the tiger and latched onto one pants leg.
Rrrrr!
New toy! New way of annoying Calley! Maybe even get the big, heavy cat off of Gina!
"Rrrrruff!"
His pants now! His! Just like the shirt! Inwardly Drew gave a chuckle at being able to act so ridiculously. If only Allison could see him now, she wouldn't be accusing him of being boring! Not that that mattered. Right now he had pants to steal from a tiger! Rrrr!

(How did it come to this? Right this way my good fellow!)
Run run run! Drew growled as his legs propelled him down the hallway as fast as they could carry him. It was his shirt! His! If he ran into a few people and things (like that table with the vase that went crash!) then oh well. It was his shirt! His! Short Stuff was not allowed to have his shirt! And once his shirt was hidden he'd get his pants and wallet too! Drew ran and ran and he even ran up the stairs and down the stairs!
If a small part of him just smirked at the puppy-like behavior and sat back then it wasn't noticed as Drew the puppy ran through the hallways of the Mansion as though his furry little tail were on fire. After all, Drew was fully enjoying himself so there was no reason for him to try and limit the dog thought processes. Causing trouble for Short Stuff when he was in puppy form had a distinct advantage. Short Stuff could never be sure if Drew was doing it on purpose or whether it was just doggy stupidity.
Sliding around a corner, Drew ran for it some more. These legs were difficult to use at high speed. He slid this way and that from time to time. The shirt trailed out behind him, sometimes tripping him up. But Drew would not stop because Short Stuff couldn't have this shirt! Nosiree!

Ahh, the arm was back with it's rightful owner and Drew could breathe easy again. Short Stuff decided to interrupt Drew's greeting of his boss to correct him that, no his name wasn't Malako. It was in fact Calley Swartz. Huh, he'd still be Short Stuff to Drew but at least he could put a proper name to the face in case Short Stuff decided to attack him again. Of the two of them Drew felt much more comfortable around Sebastian. Then again that was probably because Sebastion hadn't flipped out on him and put a hole through his stomach. In fact Sebastian had put that hole to rights and boy was Drew glad of that. Drew managed a grin at Calley.
"Good to know."
Heck he even followed it with a wink. There was no better way to get rid of this nervousness than to flirt a little. Besides, maybe if he flirted enough Calley would shift him back into a dog. He'd truly enjoyed feeling free of his promises for a while. Flirting had seemed to rile Calley so Drew would just keep at that until he managed to get turned into a dog again!
Meanwhile Sebastian had apparently decided that that was enough for tonight and so was dismissing this little meeting. Drew shot a grateful smile to the white haired man.
"I'd like that too. Some time soon maybe?"
Taking the hint, Drew headed for the door that Sebastian held. He'd have to come back here some other time when he wasn't a puppy or bleeding out.

Drew chuckled a little at Rebecca's statement.
"Then shall I tell you that your eyes are like stars in the heavens or some such line?"
Shaking his head, Drew eyed the menu while Rebecca gave a brief summation of her day. Two things stuck out to Drew but only one bore questioning.
"Costume day?"
Where would she work that would have a costume day? They certainly hadn't had anything like that at the school. Well save for the X-Men uniforms and all that.
"Nope, can't say that I have. It'll be an adventure for the both of us."
And the best part was that this was an adventure that came injury free. At least Drew thought so anyway. Wasabi, whatever that was, was supposed to be pretty spicy but beyond that what could go wrong?

Drew nodded a little too vigorously.
"Yeah, fist fighting. I help people! Well...'cept for the people I punch."
Then Andrea said something funny. Drew didn't understand it at all but the rest of the sentence sorta made sense.
"Why you talkin' funny?" he mused aloud, "Anyway, yeah. Very very violent. It's why I punch people so much! Always causin' trouble."
So many trouble making people. Drew took a drink of his beer. Too many trouble makin' humans was why he was always out hurtin' people. If he got to have pie fights then he wouldn't have ta hurt people! 'Cept those folks what hurt other people. Those people deserved a good punch! But Andrea liked his idea! That was good! But she had a better one and Drew listened with a silly grin on his face.
"That sounds awesome!"
Then he drained his beer. Wasted? Maybe. Having a lot more fun than when he was sober? Definitely. Likely to regret this later? Beyond all shadow of a doubt.

He grinned. While his heart may not be entirely in this date at least Drew had done well with the flower.
"Pretty flower for a pretty girl, if you want to be corny."
Drew grinned a little at that and then entered the restaurant, making sure to hold the door for Rebecca. There were a couple of groups before them, one couple and one party of five but the hostesses were handling things well so they didn't have to wait long before it was their turn to be seated. Soon enough the two of them were seated and waiting on a waiter.
"So, how are you today?"
Small talk, the bane of his existence. With a mental shrug Drew glanced around at the people around them before returning his gaze to their table and to Rebecca in particular.
