The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Within the Chaos, Eisen’s attention drew towards the Supremes and badass mutants trying to stand up to them. His heart grew heavy as he loosened his grip to breathe, watching with anticipation as the power giants clashed. He almost lost his gusto when two of the mutants seemed to lose their energy in an instant. So this was the power of the Supremes. Eisen watched in horror.
He had to help, but couldn’t risk overextending himself in case things got worse. He knew, knowing his limitations, the best thing he could accomplish should things get any worse, was he could always run away and seek more help.
For now, he readjusted his position in the tree to get a better view of the depowered mutants face to face with angry Godmother.
His primary goal was to freeze any goon who approached to help dispatch the depowered mutants, but they seemed to stay away considering Agatha herself seemed intent to finish the job.
Thus, Eisen waited. Watching as best he could, focusing his mutation to the ground beneath her feet. He waited, knowing that if he could pause her clothing at a decisive moment, it could mean life or death. Protect the weakened mutants from a lethal blow, or even provide just the few moments needed to land a critical blow on the Angry Godmother himself.
This was a defining moment for him, he who called himself, “Pause”.

Eisen had long gone darted away from the mess that was happening at the Mansion, recognizing that sure close quarters was his forte, but as soon as he was seen, the fight either had to end immediately or he wouldn't be able to keep up his assault. Offense was never his forte. His specialty lay in seizing his foes so that others or he himself could land a lethal blow.
He darted as quick as he could away from the Mansion front, using the trees at the peripheries to maneuver his way to where more action was happening. A gang of mutants were attacking an army of mystics, each robed in wicked glowing armor.
This, Eisen could work with. It had been a while since he got practice with his long range technique-- always looking for an opportunity to stretch the focus of his mutation to the farhest reaches. He had learned that his field of vision often limited the extent of his power, but with a war at their hands, this was no time to play it safe.
He secured himself to a tree, finding a comfortable spot in the branches of one wide enough, should he pass out, his body could lay limp and remain in the tree's crown, hidden from those watching.
Then, he set to work. He focus his soles and the palms of his hand, all at once, and kept his eyes on the battlefield. As the golden soldiers marched onwards, Eisen focused his mutation to extend his spatial lock down the tree, through the ground and a direct line following his line of sight. Then, he focused on the earth beneath the feet of their enemies.
His noticed the grass changing in front of their eyes as well, and decided to follow along the growing field effect spell of sorts, so that his mutation would seem to coincide with this new field spell.
His mutation could travel faster than the grass could spread, however, and so he targeted the soles of mystics would began to turn and run from the effect of the grass. Trip, Trip, Trip One by one, Eisen would essentially lock feet of them one at a time, as if they had stepped on a sticky surface, and with their momentum, causing them to lose balance and fall into the effects of the incoming grass.

Snow started showing up out of nowhere. People and animals and kids and weapons and chaos and fun were happening all at once. Eisen felt he hit the jackpot on his first visit to the Mansion (though he’s heard about this day from multiple sources). Equipped with his utility belt of spray paints, a communicator and some stun grenades, he frolicked through all the preparations, cheering everyone on. Of course he knew nobody, but morale was something to give freely, no? “Let’s get em folks! No holding back! Either we give it our all or we die trying!”
Eisen knew that there was no turning back now that he was here, so might as well fight. And snack on the beef jerkey he kept in his multi-pocket pants whenever his energy got low. VIVA LA RESISTANCE! He made his way to the roof to get a better view of all the action, and let the wind rustle through his hair.

The man’s apology made Eisen’s worries all melt away. He was so cute.
“No need to be sorry! Maybe the idea was trash, anyway. Iunno. Besides, I quite enjoyed you swooping in.” Eisen reached forward to place a hand on the man’s shoulder. He didn’t mean it in that sense, but as soon as he felt the sturdiness, he pulled his hand back. Wow.
At the mutant’s question, Eisen looked with puzzled expression. “Come again?” He considered asking him to rephrase his ask, but now it was Eisen’s turn to be speechless. He paused, the gears of his simple mind working. Velocity was speed right, and terminal… like an airport? Protection from… hmm.
The blue of his eyes stared blankly at Tempest’s now no longer inky black spheres.
“You mean does it hurt when I stop quick?” Eisen smiled at him. What an erudite way to phrase a question.
“Sometimes. I have to be really careful. That’s so thoughtful of you to ask!” He grew bashful whenever he thought he didn’t give a proper answer to test questions. That’s why he hated school.
Eisen walked backwards toward’s the roof’s edge in a way that looked like he wasn’t paying attention. The roof had no guard at the edge, just a gentle slope with a concealed gutter system.
He gave the hottie a wink to try and change the subject.
“The name’s Eisen, by the way. What’s yours?” He shrunk a little, also one to be self-conscious when he revealed his true identity. But Eisen wanted to trust this guy. His blue eyes shone like sapphire as he took a seeming perilous step over the edge.
Eisen decided to wait until the two of them landed on the nearby building to answer his question. The swirl of the winds as he was carried and his silence, him leaning into the embrace, ought to be enough of an answer for his emotional state.
As soon as the man hovered over the building, before landing, Eisen hopped out of his arms like a kid off a swingset. He stepped nimbly through the pressurized winds and landed safely on the roof.
Then he stretched. Raising his arms up in the air. Twisting side to side. Bending down to touch his toes. Not minding at all if the guy was staring. He waved his butt in the air for a moment, his Calvin Klein boxers peeking above the rim of his pink camo joggers. His hoodie pulling his shirt downwards to expose the smooth skin of his lower back. Before he popped back up, and breathed a sigh of relief. He had been walking for a while. The feeling of blood flowing through his relaxed muscles a welcome sensation.
Eisen then turned to face the man, with a subdued smile on his face. His eyes taking a moment to scan him in his full beauty, white thin clothes, his expression still an embarrassed and flustered mess.
"Before you caught me, I was trying to jog my brain to figure out what to get my parents for their anniversary. Which is in two days!" Eisen walked over to the edge of the building and stared at the 56 Leonard in the distance, before turning to face the man again.
As if a bird had shat right between his eyebrows, he exclaimed in sheer disappointment. "Shit! I figured it out as I fell, but ugh. You catching me made me forget." Eisen's lip began to pout drastically, as he paced back and forth trying to remember the idea that hit him when he fell.
Then he turned to the dude and looked at him with a pleading expression.
"Maybe if you brought me up and dropped me, I could remember!" He smiled, also thrilled at the prospect of being carried by the man again.

Eisen failed to blink for a solid minute as the man who held him's face lit up. Pink rushed through the chiseled features of the weather-stirring mutant like a California wildfire. Eisen just stared. The man's lips as he stuttered, the confusion that ran through his eyes -- Eisen didn't know a person could be so mesmerizing. The thought that popped into his mind as he was falling, about the drive-through cinema, flew away like a leaf caught in a heavy gust of wind.
Eisen realized he'd literally been holding onto the moment. Onto the man, their clothes, their altitude, their stasis. Stuck.
"Wow. You're so beautiful. Is this really happening?" Eisen blabbered on, one to always speak his mind even when it wasn't appropriate. Of the words he could pick as well, he was surprised that his heart was beating so hard in his chest. No one. And he meant it. No one had ever swooped him up like this before. Adrenaline rushed through his every being. And for one to be so objectively perfect, too. Eisen was just in awe.
"You're the one making us not fall, silly! I just wanted to get a better look at you since you literally came out of no where." Eisen then let go of his spatial lock on their clothes, blushing himself a little, as he felt this dude's strong arms resume their grip on him. He wanted to stay there, nestled in his grasp, as the wind whipped against their features. Eisen wasn't even thinking about whether he was gonna let him go, or what he ought to do next. The sky was Eisen's comfort zone, and his comfort zone just got even comfier.
He rested his hand on the man's chest and nestled his head against his shoulder. Just the fact that someone else was capable of holding him in his comfort zone for him was enough. He didn't want this moment to end.
Eisen closed his eyes in sheer ecstasy, as the weightless feeling of hurtling down with gravity's embrace was a thrill that never failed to invigorate him. From the thorough tousling of his ginger hair, to the billowing of wind through his funky pink, camo joggers and lime-green Monster hoodie and bleach-white Reeboks. To the temporary goop-like sensation of his insides as the breakfast of his suspended in his stomach cavity fell with him.
Little by little, as he hurtled past the thirty and the twenty-something floors, he'd ease the breaks of his descent, pumping his mutation onto his clothes in frequent, short spurts, such that his descent slowed its pace. Just then, an idea popped into his mind. A romantic showing at a drive through-cinema where he'd dress up as the waiter! That would be so cool and hip and cute!
The words "Eureka!" or some other form of the expression almost dispersed from his lips right before a strong and intense gust of wind hurtled at him from below. He instinctively tensed and caught himself with his spatial lock, his body and legs curved in such a way that the two strong pair of arms that then scooped him up from below found the perfect places to hold the idea-stricken boy.
Eisen's whole body felt an electric like surprise as the warm body of another man's torso pressed against his shoulder as well as the arms supported his back and the folds of his legs. Instead of falling he was lifted back up into the sky, wholly and fully taken aback just like he had been with his earlier idea.
He locked eyes with black pools of intense focus, framed with gorgeous features and topped with the gust-of-air intertwined tenor of a sexy voice.
> “Breathe slowly, focus,” the man who held Eisen close to him began to iterate, which Eisen's freeze-instinct, to allow himself to be caught, made it easier for the fellow mutant to bring Eisen upwards into the air. Yet, as soon as the two came to the height of their trajectory upward, Eisen couldn't help but clench and tighten as his heart stopped and words slipped out of his mouth.
"Damn. You're hot." Eisen pressed his hand against the man's chest, and his mutation slipped, rippling his spatial lock through the entirety of both their clothes. Causing the two of them to stand suspended in the air like that-- one man holding another, and the other staring into the intensity of the other's eyes -- as the world truly seemed to pause for just a moment.
The early morning sun began baking his neck, but Eisen didn't notice. He found himself pacing this morning, counting things with his fingers, tracing his thoughts with the soles of his feet. Up and around the the 56 Leonard, a Jenga-like building that looked about to fall-apart as Eisenhower Brandt-Garcia did just about now. His dad's were about to have their 35th wedding anniversary in two days and he still hadn't figured out what to get them.
"The Grand Canyon's too hot... And they only took polite bites out of that cake I baked them last time. Shit. Shit. Shit." He paced around the building, shoes-spatially locked with every step. His breakfast of four syrup-doused waffles, five sausages, and a half-liter of orange juice churned in his stomach, but it did very little to distract him from the life-or-death scenario of showing up at his Daddy and Papi's house with nothing but a free-hug coupon scribbled on a paper napkin. That only worked once, in seventh grade. Papi liked it so much, he asked if he could renew-it daily. Maybe Eisen could recreate that daily free hug voucher?
As much as it would bother people to see a man climbing on nothing outside their window, a few of them waved at Eisen as he paced by, slowly and surely upwards and around their home on an invisible staircase of his own making. He may have created for himself a reputation as a ginger-haired entity that orbited this establishment every-so often. On the thirty-seventh floor, some kids used to make it a habit to leave a plate of wrapped snacks in their birdfeeder just for him. There was an October and November when his pacing had almost become daily.
Today, those wrapped snacks could wait. He'd been so busy with his night-vigilante life recently and the couple trips to the Emergency Room that he forgot he'd even planned his 56 Leonard pace-around almost a week ago! As he climbed, he would take moments to pause and chill on the 56 Leonard's outcroppings, readjusting his sneakers for no good reason than to distract himself from his awful ideas.
"Why must they be so content with their lives? Ugh." Eisen threw his hands up in the air at one point and allowed himself to fall backwards. From the 47th floor down to whenever the feeling of falling would jog a good idea into his flustered brain.

Eisen held his belly laugh until tears flowed down his face. Even the commotion between the clones wasn't enough to snap him out of his humorous stupor. He sat up a little just to see finally the face of the Wrathful clone take down all three of the others.
"Woah, buddy, hold your horses." Because the clone was running towards him, he wouldn't have been able to focus quick enough in this position he was in to lock him in time, so he scrambled upward into the sky. Spinning around and off the ground, clawing to get himself away from the dude who was quickly closing in the gap.
"Shit, shit, shit." Eisen tripped a little as he fell face forward, and rolled over on his stomach on the ground. His belly laugh still leaving remnants of weakness throughout his body. This whole scenario was just so ridiculous.
Just then he felt a kick to his ribs that sent him sprawling on the ground. The air out of his lungs escaped faster than a popped balloon and his vision splintered. Another kick to his ribs, and another, until Eisen was able to grab onto one the clone's shoed feet and held him in a spatial lock.
Eisen cried, but held the lock as long as he could. The kicks surrendered for a moment as he hoped that would be enough for the other three to recover and help take this maniac down.

Eisen's face contorted like a kid on Christmas morning who had witnessed Santa Clause himself stuff presents under the tree and drink the milk and eat the cookies. The first time everyone became prey to his clothing-prison technique was always priceless. Eisen lived for that moment when people realized, if they want to escape then they'd have to risk becoming naked. He had reinforced his technique such that his spatial lock was stronger than most fabrics, save leather.
What was even funnier was when the original tried to make a clone that also got himself trapped in the spatial lock. Eisen didn't know if this was intentional on the man's part, but the only downside to his technique was that it required a lot of focus to maintain.
Eisen burst out laughing, and clutched his stomach, before falling to the ground in his stupor. The lot of them's faces, all the same faces, each with varying emotions and all trapped in his spatial lock. It was all too priceless. Such a beautiful image he would cherish in his mind for the rest of his waking life, such that he would risk their brutality for a moment so that he could enjoy the belly-laugh that resulted from their idiocy.
"You guys. Are. The best! Can we please be friends??? Hahaha. Seriously y'all are such a hoot!" Eisen cackled on the ground before he sat up and wiped the tears from his eyes.

Eisen smiled, and stepped forward to consolidate the clone's handshake, as he looked to all three and focused his soles.
The left sole of his foot connected through the ground and to the clothes of the clone on the left, his right sole to Lincoln himself, and to the clone whose hand he was shaking, Eisen slipped his hand slightly up further so that his fingerless glove came in contact with the clone's sleeve.
Then all at once, he spatially locked all of their clothes as he glared at the clone in the eye.
"Well the moment you trusted me was the moment you all lost. Should this have been a real fight, laddies." Eisen said as he moved his last free hand up to the frozen clone's nose and gave it a little "boop."
He smiled and gave a stare hat bled amused, and not sinister. He waited until the expressions on their faces changed such as they realized their clothes became as stiff as staight-jackets and he held them in suspension until the words bled through their mouths. He stared for as long as it took for their hysteria to grow and reach a point, before he decided what to do next.

As the two women unsheathed their weapons, both displaying their prowess and signaling their proficiency. He decided to play along as well.
“Get them before they can snap their fingers, and we should be set.” Eisen reached back to grab the base of his bow-staff and pulled it out, a weapon unlike their two blades.
He pressed a hidden switch on its hilt and it extended in a swift and almost silent motion, a nice soft chhhhk, the signal that it had extended as far as it could. One end was equipped with a built in taser, and the other end could dispatch a two meter, retractable cord, chain should he require the extra length. The entire mechanism was colored a sleek obsidian.
He maneuvered the bowstaff behind his back and raised it up slightly above his hips. Then he hoisted himself up onto the staff, almost as if it were a broomstick and he were a genderbent witch perched upon it, both palms grabbing so he could lock it in the air with his ability.
Eisen also remembered that he came equipped with comms, a nifty addition to his tool-belt’s arsenal since he never knew when reconnaissance would be needed.
“Up to you all. I have a four way comms system, black earpieces. Recon and containment are my forte. I can spatially lock anything solid in place, as long as I’m physically connected to it. Give me time to find a good setup spot, and I can lockdown the facility in no time. Then you two can go ham.” He smirked as he held out his hands, offering them each an earpiece.

Eisenhower, the daunting youth, laid atop a semi headed in the direction of a nondescript dojo placed in a pocket of NYC that he used to frequent on his Graffiti trips. He stared face-up at the light-polluted residential and commercial buildings, allowing the wind to flow on top of him like a river of diesel tinged air.
As soon as he had stuck his head back into the underground scene, his codename "Pause" as a mercenary of sorts who was willing to take on any tasks for the fun of it -- bonus points if it came with a cash reward, offers began to show up real quickly. Especially with these Well-drinker fanatic showing up out of the sewage system like magic-infused rats, he was all riled up to dispatch some power-thirsty humans.
Upon arriving at the dojo's street front, Eisen traipsed across the air, as he balanced on nothing other than his black Adidas, spatially locking them into place with each step. He came equipped tonight with his trusty, retractable bowstaff, and three spray canisters. One of a corrosive nature, one of a sticky black tar, and the third of his premium acrylic black spraypaint. Each attached to a fancy sling that strapped across his torso.
His outfit was entirely fitting of a home-designed ninja, from his black sweater to his non-striped adidas slacks, and his signature black fingerless gloves. He also sported a breathable ski mask should he deem it necessary to hide his identity.
Upon walking above the scene he noticed two gorgeous women and a seemingly white-striped cat-looking thing at the location pre-determined by his contact. Before approaching, he descended to the ground, and listening to a break in their conversation before he interrupted. Sounded like introductions were being made.
Once he felt it safe to do so, he entered the alleyway with palms up, ginger locks and charmed smile out, to greet his beautiful co-assailants.
"The name's Pause." He then took a brief bow of the head to signify respect. "Get in, get it done, get out. No questions asked."
He then looked them both in the eyes. The two beauties, one with the huge blade and pet animal, and the other also in a striking, night-op outfit. "Unless... we have the time?"

Eisen, using his spatially locked soles, then leveraged his bowstaff so that it pulled the clone holding tight to it towards the ground. Should he refuse to let go, he’d hurtle toward the Earth as well, disorienting his fighting stance.
As for the man who aimed a kick at his hands, the bowstaff levered in time to block the kick at a 45degree angle, Eisen spatially locking it at the moment of the strike so as to not be knocked down.
He then withdrew up into the air, righting himself and looked down at the three clones. Or was it two clones and an original? He wasn’t sure.
“Ok. Ya got me. I know a fight I can’t win when I see it. The name’s Eisen.” He stared down at the men, his eyes scanning the grey tracksuits, black Pumas and different color wristbands.
In order for them to realize he had truly given up, he initiated the mechanic on his bowstaff causing it to withdraw into itself, shortening to a length the size of his forearm. He then attached it to a custom sheath slung around his torso.
“You prepping for a fight or something? I mean, you’re not bad. But I know bloodlust when I see it, and none of you seem to have been in a real fight before.”
Eisen stepped back in the air and slowly alighted to the ground so as to address the clones in an arc.

Eisen’s eyes lit up when the dude produced another stunt double almost instantaneously and four arms grabbed the end of his bowstaff.
“Clones? Y’all are mutants!!!” Eisen secured his grip on his bowstaff and channeled his energy through it, locking it spatially into place.
Now if the clones tried to yank the staff from him, they would be met with a ton of resistance, being unable to overpower his spatial lock unless they too had super strength.
With his bowstaff essentially a stable pole, Eisen used his upper body strength to pull himself up in the air and avoid the clone at his back’s kick. With his body in the air, he spatially locked his soles and waited until the side-by-side clones figured out his shtick.
Since these peeps could easily overpower him with numbers, Eisen created space between them, using his aerial prowess to keep a leg up over them. If they were going to use their mutation, then his wasn’t off limits either. Time to fight mutated flames with mutated flames.
