The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Lennox stumbled down into the mouth of the alley, the sound of squeaks rustling drawing him closer to a nearby dumpster, hunger pains crippling him as he fell against the wall and slide down it. With his back rested firmly against the wall, Lennox attempted to gather his last bit of strength. After his last ordeal he had again sworn off the blood of man. This meant he had to resort to smaller prey and feed more, but Lennox refused to become more of a monster then he already has.
*Your pathetic child, resorting to feeding on rats and strays. To think I once held hope for you child.*
Lennox ignored the mocking of the voice within his head as he laid down with his belly to the dirty asphalt of the alley. His hand reaching beneath the dumpster to find another rat, this would be the sixth so far, but he could feel his strength retuning to him with each vermin’s death. Grabbing one of the vile creatures Lennox quickly broke the mammal’s neck before allowing that fanged mouth to finish the task. This process was repeated until Lennox could muster up enough strength to stand.
*Your blatant disrespect for my power sickens me Lennox, I can’t wait for the day I regain control of your weak soul and expose the world to what true power is.*
“You keep waiting, I told you I won’t let your control me again.” Lennox replied as his eyes caught sight of something in the darkness. “Whose there?”
*It was likely just a cat, your lack of proper nutrition betrays you boy.*
“No this was bigger. And cat sounds better then rat…” Lennox spoke as he trekked deeper into the alleyway. “…here kitty kitty...”
Guglin was walking down a dimly lit sidewalk when he was caught off guard by an unusual migration of rats. The small animals were so busy running away from whatever scared them, that they did not notice him. A rat ran between his legs, while another hurried out of the alley at his right, the third rat was not as lucky as the rest since it ended stabbed by the knife on the tip of his spear.
The poor rat was still alive and moaning weakly as it continued to try to escape that deadly trap. Meanwhile, Guglin was ignoring this grim show to focus his gaze inside the alley. His amber eyes dispersed the gathered darkness easily allowing him to see why those rats were running.
What at first glance looked like a bunch of junk piled up against the wall, turned out to be a man. Guglin crept toward the stranger since he was intrigued by what the human was doing in that dirty place but before he could get closer, the man spoke. Was there more than one person there? His eyes scanned the shadows for a second person but no one else was there.
Before he could hide again behind the same large black trash bag, the man noticed his presence and began to advance towards him as he continued talking to himself. With a clearer vision of the man, Guglin concluded that he seemed to be badly hurt, even more than the rat, so ignoring his own safety, the little monster leaped from behind the trash before the man could get closer. "Hi." The goblin greeted the man with his distinctive high-pitched voice while the rat keep moaning rat on the tip of his spear.
"Hi" A raised eyebrow was Lennox’s immediate response to the greeting. Another glance of the little goblin looking thing brought Lennox to one conclusion, it was an alien. “Hello” He replied eyes now looking onto the dripping and delicious blood from the still squirming and suffering rat. “Are you going to eat that?” Lennox pointed to the spear tip.
He was in bad shape his clothes smelled on death and garbage, various stains and remains cover his once clean hoodie, his hair matted and unkept, and the lack of following his proper diet was starting to take its toll of his overall health. Not to mention his breath was terrible.
“Or would happen to know where the cat that was back here went?”
Despite the environment that surrounded them was foul and full of dangers, both creatures greeted each other as if they were at a social meeting and not in a dark alley. Their words were soon followed by an exchange of glances that Guglin used to analyze the state of the other person with concern. Not even the scent of blood and dead animals could create an strong enough odor to affect his weak sense of smell, so Guglin continued staring at the man that looked malnourished, weak and dirty. He was clearly in need of help, so he began to wonder what he could do to help him, but before he could find a proper answer, the man turned his attention to the poor rat.
It was a miracle that the little creature was still alive after being pierced with a knife, but what was much more disturbing was the fact that he had forgotten it. The screams began to weaken but these were still there as evidence of his unintentional cruelty. The little goblin nodded slowly in response to his question, and then quickly shook his head when he really understood what the human meant. So the goblin extended his spear and held it there for him to take the delicious food.
Even if the little goblin had seen the cat that man mentioned, he would not said so because one of his few rules was not to hunt cats or dogs that were far nobler creatures than rats... "No cat." He replied with a mischievous smile. "Just me." A green and hairless cat with long ears and a round head. The idea was so funny that the goblin once again forgot the hungry man and the poor rat, but once more the constant screams brought him back to reality. "Need help?"
