The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The girls paused when the talking stopped. For a moment there was silence, then footsteps headed in their direction. Not ones for subtlety, they decided to wait and see who would come 'round the bend. When Oppressor appeared, holding who could only be Miss Invisible, their eyebrows went up in surprise. She was limp as a rag doll, but the girls could tell she was still conscious. As he approached, and looked in their direction, the Twins backed up to give him room to pass. It was uncharacteristic for the pair, but something about that white-haired guy just sent shivers down their spines. He was just way too creepy for comfort.
They followed him back downstairs, where the battle still raged. But rather then follow him outside, they stayed in the shadows of the doorway, pouting slightly. They had hoped to be the ones to take out Miss Invisible, and creepy leader or not, they weren't too happy that Oppressor had beaten them to it. That, plus his sudden announcement was likely to end the chaos outside. And that would end their fun.
So they waited, keeping eyes, and ears, peeled for an opportunity to jump into the fray again.
Or, if things got too slow, perhaps a chance to get it started again...
The dart gun fired and Syn watched as the projectile raced for Tricity. Unfortunately the woman managed to dodge the dart. On the plus side the dart struck another X-Man. The girl who had changed into a wolf. Now she was a really big and ferocious looking wolf with her sights set on Tricity. How perfect. though Syn as she imagined Tricity being attacked by one of her own.
Then Dorians voice cracked out over the battlefield like a whip. He held a girl as he threatened the rest of the X-men. Was that the invisible attacker that the twins and Nail had been fighting earlier? Syn got up and walked back up the steps to stand by Dorian. She looked out at the X-men to see their reactions. Deathstar had already voiced her concern. "Leave now or you could face the same fate dear sister, or perhaps you'd like to go crazy like your friend over there." Syn pointed at the wolf girl.
Nail watched in surprise as the wolf woman changed into a giant ferocious red wolf. The beast seemed to have lost all self control, and was willing to attack just about anything, even the electricity girl, who apparently had once been on her side. Nail realised this was his perfect chance to do some good, wile still doing what he was told.
Nail darted out, and got between Tricity and Emerald. He stood threateningly befor the giant wolf, hid arms up in front of him, both bearing diamond blades. He was trying to threaten wold back, but inside, his mind was screaming at him to run away. To keep from getting mauled to death. His body had other ideas it seemed though. As if in preparation for an attack, diamond coated his feet, and seemed to mend them into the gound, fortifying him into position between Emerald and Tricity.
Befor anything else could happen however, he heard a voice that seemed to swwep across the battlefield like a tidal wave. Nails head spun around, and he saw a woman in his arms, limp, and wearing the X-man uniform.
"Who the hell is that?"
Nail didn't realise that it was the invisable woman he had been fighting previously. Maybe that was a good thing, maybe not. In either case, it seemed that this fight was over. Only two things could happen now. The field could explode with vilence once more, and end swifly with someone dieing, or the X-men would back off, and the fighting would end without further bloodshed. Of course, Nail also had to take into account that a bloodthirsty wolf was standing in front of him, and he doubted it would heed this new guys threat.

Kaz had rushed over to aid Isabel in her fight against Emerald and Bast. Moments before he reached them, Bast has moved Emerald out of the fight. Again it was one on one. The way Kaz believes a fight should be. Though the rage and blood lust of Sarrus had spilled over from his second form, Kaz kept it in check enough to watch and wait.
Not one to stay in one place, he paced around the two combatants, circling them. Noting the spines, darts, mini-spears, whatever Isabel would call them, littering the ground, Kaz kicked off his boots after shoving the remaining daggers from his boots into his waist band, he used his impressive speed to move around the two. His socks came off as just after his boots. His feet were bare as he moved, though this didn't impede his movement one little bit.
Between traded attacks, and during the momentary pauses, Kaz dashed around, and between the two, though they didn't seem to notice much, and if they did, they didn't pay him any attention. Which worked well for Kaz. With each pass, he picked up the small bone objects with his bare, and now muddy, feet, holding them between his toes. Thank god, or whatever it was, for his birth defect. Due to it, his feet and toes were as nimble as his hands and fingers, minus the thumb of course.
It didn't take long for the tricky panther woman to use that teleporting ability of hers. Upon her reappearance, she crouched and swept Isabel's feet from under her. The moment was clear in Kaz's mind. He was on one side of Bast, when she made the sweep, but as the sweep was completed and as Isabel began to fall, Kaz had moved to the other side. In the same moment, Kaz rushed forward, catching Isabel before she hit the ground and set her down gently. He put himself between the two so the panther woman wouldn't be able to directly attack Isabel.
He had previously moved most of the little objects to one foot. With a snap kick straight out to the side, that only an acrobat or someone with an extremely screwed up bone structure could do, Kaz thrust his foot, with most of the sharp pointy objects, at Bast's midsection, because it would be the easiest to hit, while pushing himself away from the ground with his hands to gain more momentum. At nearly the same time, he twisted his entire body. With a snapping 'throw' with his other foot, he sent the last of the small objects flying at the panther woman. He didn't care about those, as they were mostly a 'whatever' attack.
((OOC: Just a note: Kaz's toes are curled and holding the small spikes by the tip facing away from his body so if they hit they'll pierce into Bast. I didn't put that in there cuz it didn't flow well with the post ^_^;; ))

Bast didn't have the time, given the position she was in, to give much notice to Kaz, and her awareness of his presence before without him actually attacking had meant that she let her guard down.
So when the attack to her midsection came she wasn't ready and his attack made contact. Daria's stitches fro her previous, near fatal wound were long gone and the scars were slowly fading but it was still an achilles heel of sorts.
The second throw, Daria did her best to dodge in a series of flips but she couldn't do very well for each bend dug the shards deeper into her abdomen.
She hissed in pain and teleported to a tree, the shards with her and she began to teleport them from her, blood trickling fast down her abdomen. When her attention turned to Emerald and Tricity, Daria felt a fury rise in her. She was supposed to be taking care of Emerald, she had the sacred trust of the girl's mother do do well by them as their surrogate sister in the Mansion. Tricity had chosen Daria as her child's Godmother and as the apprentice to head the school in the future. Mike, who was in the fight somehwere, she was sure, had asked for her hand in marriage and seriously entertained the idea of her having his child-she didn't know where he was but she imagined him in danger as everyone else was.
She could feel her anger welling up, an anger she tried hard to keep in check after the doc had so many talks with her. She promised Tricity her 'frenzy' modes were under control, that her mutation wouldn't be a harm to anyone but Daria could feel her canines slowly coming down a bit further, her claws-which she only used as a last resort in her right mind- unsheathed to their full length and her eyes narrowed losing their humanity.
Her wounds hurt badly, and she was bleeding but ignoring the pain. A deep hiss rose in her throat.
Isabel was pleased that at least her second strike had hit on target, though she was disappointed that the cat woman had teleported again before she could do any more damage. She was caught off guard as the woman reappeared behind her and swept her legs out from under her rather than just putting distance between herself and Isabel, as she'd been half expecting. She'd been foolish enough to think that by the simple act of telporting a friend away from an opponent, that Daria may favor that mutation as a more defensive weapon. Again she was presented with another small surprise as instead of falling flat on the back, someone caught her before she hit the ground. She muttered a small thanks to Kaz as she was set down before quickly scrambling back to her feet. He was a strange one, that Kaz. First he's cutting off peoples' arms and the next minute he's preventing others from falling on their rear ends.
Figuring Kaz could handle Daria on his own, Isabel moved to give the two of them room, despite the fact that the woman had teleported away once again. Her wounds were still stinging like crazy, though she was doing her best to ignore them. Her cheek and shoulder would need to be bandaged and her arm looked like it would need stitches. She'd have to borrow some thread from the infirmary so she could sew the cuts up. She'd be damned if she let the doctors do it. Isabel hated doctors and wouldn't trust them as far as she could spit. Her attention was grabbed from her cuts and bruises when a loud howl tore through the air, attracting her attention to the big werewolf looking creature charging toward the leader of the X-Men. Isabel figured it was a safe to venture a guess that Big and Fuzzy was the same girl she'd been fighting only a short while ago. Briefly she entertained the idea of reengaging the lupine in their fight once again, but decided against it since she was after Tricity, which was mainly a good thing for the members of the Order.
Once again Isabel's attention shifted as a very familiar voice boomed out over the chaos of battle. Turning her gaze toward the steps of the building, a small grin crossed her features as she saw Mr. King standing on the steps with some girl raised above his head. Judging by the uniform she was wearing, she belonged to the X-Men. She looked around at the others briefly to see how they'd all react to King's words, wondering if they'd stop as he'd ordered, or if they'd redouble their efforts of taking out the Order and infiltrating KP.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.

>Ooooh, Kit Kat has a temper!<
Vibe grinned, silently giggling as they watched from the shadows. Her foot was tapping idly, as they were both anxious to begin fighting again. Amp nodded, also grinning. Suddenly she turned sent her sister a devilish look. Vibe raised an eyebrow, then nodded, mirroring her sister's expression. The pair didn't have to say anything, aloud or mentally. They knew each other well enough to know what the other was thinking.
Amp began to send out two directed, high-pitched sounds, masking the noises from everyone but the wolf and the cat-girl. Only they would hear them, and what they would hear would not even be painful. But what they would hear would be unbelievably annoying, like the sound of a dripping faucet, constant but high enough to not be ignored. The red-heads intent was not to attack or hurt, but to drive both animal-like mutants crazy.
The girls put on a mask of boredom on their faces, and Vibe forced herself to stop tapping her foot, just in case Kaz would notice and recognize the tell-tale sign of the Sonics using their mutation. They moved from the shadows and walked past Oppressor, toward Isabel. When they reached her, Vibe unwound her neck scarf and handed it to the girl to wrap her wounds. The bow-wearing girl had a mean throwing arm and aim; the twins were looking forward to teaming up with her again.
Tricity was just about to reach out to Emerald until the girl had screamed for her to back away. 'She's out of control... Ah, that's it... They're using Jack to make mutants lose control of their powers,' she realized, seeing another figure rush between the two. It was the one who had sent the explosion of shards out moments ago. 'Why is he helping us?'
Suddenly, an unknown voice had caused everyone to stop their fights and turn toward the steps on the building. 'And that must be Dorian King.' Tricity slowly backed away from Emerald and began walking toward King as he held Fade limp and what seemed lifeless in his arms. Her eyes went to black in anger as her power was reaching its peak. She could even feel the electricity begin to stir in the air, meaning her lightning ability was starting to flicker to life. "You bastard..." she muttered, coming to the bottom of the stairs.
"Leave now, lest you want more of your teammates to end up like this. Take this chance while you have it, and I'll consider reviving your friend." King announced to the X-Men.
"No," Tricity stated simply. "Release Jacquelyn Guy, Iris, and a few of the others I know you have locked up in there. We won't leave until you do." She looked around at her teammates who stood firm in agreement. "If not, I promise there won't be any mutation in this world that can revive you and your team when we're through."
The Lupine snarled as her prey walked away. She looked at the male infront of her, uninterested. Her mind was currently occupied with the fresh scent of blood. She licked her jowel's at the thought of weakened prey.
THe beast stalked over to where the scent was caught, beneath a tree, she clawed at it, scrapping her paws against it as she snapped at the tail that was hanging off the branch. She was to low to reach but she still got pretty close.
Suddenly the Lupine's ear's flattened to her head. The piercing noise filled her ears and she started to scratch at the tree faster. She let out a howl, trying to ignore it. She looked back up at the tree, some part of her humanity was kickig in. The beast groaned with a growl, scratching at the tree furiously, tyring to get the cat down.
One part of the beasts Mind, was attempting to stop it. Trying to regain control before she hurt the people she cared for.

Kaz watched as the teleporting woman did a few poorly done flips and then disappear. He couldn't blame her for how she dodged, it was the most effective method, but it seems those....things....did more damage than he thought they would. <Good to know.> A smile crept onto his face and he surveyed the rest of the area. He caught Vibe tapping her foot, and nearly dismissed it until he remembered their first meeting. He didn't keep his attention on the girl for too long as he looked around, but he did raise his left hand and tap his thumb with his index finger. Hopefully she'd remember the band he gave her.
He heard Dorian and looked at him holding Fade, and Kaz's smile grew larger. <Got the little B*tch> He watched Tricity walk up to the stairs and talk back to Dorian. His smile changed into a smirk as he walked off to the side of the stairs, about 15ft from Dorian and Tricity. Noticing something in his pants as he walked, he reached down and pulled out a few of the 'quills' from Isabel. Figuring he must have picked them up when he did his save stunt. Pulling them out he rolled them between his thumb and index finger. In that moment he got everything he needed, weight and balance, to throw them with exact precision.
"No?" He looked around the area at all the combatants. "NO? Are you stupid?" <You must be.> "Look around you, you've lost. A third of your numbers are indisposed and can't even take care of the people opposing them. Another third are either hanging limp, probably dead," He shrugged, "Insane and going after your own people," Referring to Emerald, "Or bleeding profusely from their torso, unable to move properly." Chuckling slightly, "The last, you and Deathstar, are severely outnumbered and out matched." Raising his hand quickly, he let one of the 'quills', that's what he decided to call them, fly at Fade. He aimed it right at the bridge of her nose. The quill grazed it and went flying harmlessly onwards into the air.
"You talk like you KNOW everything. It makes you sound more idiotic than you did a few minutes ago. There is no one being held anywhere." He looked at Sentinel. A look that let the man know he'd been keeping tabs on him throughout the entire fight, even if he really hadn't, though Kaz could guess. "Right." His gaze moved over the rest of the group. "Why do you demand Jack? You own her? Doubt it. Maybe you think you're the ONLY one's who can help mutants with their powers. Arrogant way of thinking, though normal way of thinking from the Xmen."
He rolled a quill around in his fingers. "You are in no position to make demands or threats." He held the quill up in the air a bit. "Do you think I can't put this through her skull, or yours, or any of the others around here? I suggest you take the offer and leave." A thought came into his head he thought would be fun. "Maybe you'd like your son to grow up motherless? If he's even able to grow up that is....." He didn't say anything else, just let his last comment stand and sink in.
Tricity approached the bottom of the steps and Syn looked down at the woman. It was kind of ironic how at the moment The Order had the upper hand and here now stood the leader of the X-Men beneath Dorian. Syn couldn't help but laugh at the threat posed by Tricity. She could tell the woman was gaining her power back as the air had somewhat of a alkiline smell to it. The girl stepped down on step from Dorian and placed herself between the two leaders.
Just then Kaz began his verbal assualt on the woman. He was always talking it seemed. Syn just mentally shrugged and let him speak his mind. Better her than me she thought.
When Kaz finished speaking Syn decided to jump in as well. "Tricity, look at your people. They're in no condition to drag this out. We have the advantage here." She let her eyes scan Tricity as she could see the woman was upset. "You're better off leaving now while you all can still walk, and if I were you I wouldn't even think about trying your electrifying personality again. I'll make you sorry if you do." Syn's eyes narrowed at Tricity.
Then the girl's face changed slightly as if remebering something in an obvious manner. "Ah yes I suppose I should tell you something my dear Tricity. Iris is no longer here. I believe she left and went back to your precious mansion, but she was complaining of some pains. I'm sure your students are tending to her now though." Syn gave Tricity the most wickedly evil smile ever. She hoped that Tricity would add things up after seeing what happened to the wolf girl.
Sentinel, who had watched the wolf walk away from him, and begin clawing at a tree instead, had only tuned into the conversation half way through. By now he had gotten use to both Kaz's long winded assaults and Syns evil little way of giving people advise, but Nail realised it was in his best interest to take sides with them. They were right. People where injured all over the field, and the limp girl had already become a victim. The diamond around his feet absorbed back into him and he turned to face tricity, who seemed to make the air around them quiver with electricity.
"Please. They're right. No ones here. You can leave. I saw for myself. Everyone else was released. Please, don't let anyone else get hurt."
Nail was pleading with her. One reason was because if this didn't end soon, he would lose his life. The other reason was that he could tell where this as going. A hostage, and two rescuers, who where outnumbered emmensly. There was no way that everyone would walk away from this alive if it proceded.
"Please, theres nothing to accomplish here. No one needs to die."

Kaz's speech sickened Tricity. Yes it did seem as if the xmen were in trouble but Daria still had her secret weapon as tech specialist. She struggled to keep out of frenzy mode, or at least to keep it from taking over. She teleported her laptop to her and opened it, setting up the program and turning it on so that the attack wouldn't harm the X-men and would be blocked by their radio's which she'd tweaked between then and the last missions. She lifted her tail from reach of Emerald's jaws. She couldn't help but Hiss back and fight the urge to attack but she needed to focus.
She activated the program, the sound wave's effect was simple yet it was complicated to control. It was designed to work on both Mutants and humans, or rather to appeal to the human part of Mutants. The wave caught a frequency just slightly above the level of hearing, and anyone with advanced hearing would feel the effects devastatingly. But mostly the wave caused a crippling headache, which since it wouldn't affect the X-men, Daria hoped would buy them time to find Jack.
IF daria or Emerald could be given her scent or Daria a picture or idea of what she looked like, she could teleport the girl to them.
As the wave flew out over the battlefield, Daria cast a look down at Emerald who was indeed a fearsome sight. She wondered where Mike was, to sooth the girl's mind. She knew it was the blood that was attracting Emerald and she licked her wounds as best she could but the blood kept pouring new. She watched the villains to see the wave's effect taking place.

Vibe caught the gesture, but pointedly ignored Kaz. After all, he couldn't prove what they were doing, and even if he could, who'd care? Except the Xmen maybe. In repeat, 'Who'd care'?
The girls listened, or at least Vibe did, with growing boredom to the conversation on the stairs. They were more interested in the pending dog/cat fight, and keeping up the annoying white noise in the animal-like mutants' ears. They were watching when the computer suddenly appeared in front of the cat-woman. They both frowned and looked at each other.
>What's she up to?<
Amp shook her head slightly, meaning 'I don't know'. In typical fashion, they decided not to care and to put a crimp in the Xwoman's plans, whatever they might be. Vibe began beating out vibrations for her sister to gather, enough to destroy the laptop.
Suddenly a shriek split the air. The red-headed pair, already sensitive to sound, let out a pained scream as the noise threatened to overload them. Even Amp could feel the vibration shake down through her bones.
>"Make it stop!"< they both shrieked. It was an unconscious reaction, but it only took a few seconds for Vibe to find and copy the note's frequency, and send it to her sister. Amp, in the next few seconds did two things:
First she sent back the sound just slightly out of phase, cancelling it out. That radiated out from the pair in a dome, which included shielding Isabel and whoever was within about five feet.
The second was an attack born of fury and pain. Amp and Vibe's eyes locked onto the cat-woman, practially glowing with fury. Amp sent out a screech of her own, high and shrill enough to momentarily deafen her if it reached its target, as well as give a massive migraine to anyone near her.
And since the wolf was clawing at the tree below, it was directly in the line of fire.
Emerald snarled and growled at her target, snapping her jowels meanacingly. She kept doing this untill that horrible sound split through the air. The Lupine howled in pain as she took most of the blow herself.
She was on the ground growling in pain. After about 4 minutes of this she recovered and glared at the source of the noise. She began walking towards the twins slowly, seeing what they would do. A snarl escaped her lips and her jowels dripped hot saliva thorough her lupine fangs.
