The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kaz felt and heard something as he approached Mike. Suddenly the ground burst open and a water pipe began to spray from the ground where Kaz was just about to step. <How the hell did she know where I'd move? I'm moving faster than humans can see! Freaky wolf girl.> Instead of walking directly into the water geyser, Kaz sidestepped it. One hand went behind his back to grab a handle with a flat top as his free hand flew towards Mike's head once again, which with the water flying everywhere he should have good cover from most of the other people's sight.
The hand with the odd object swung out to the side as the flat top began to spread out in a circular motion around the center. Once it completed it's motion, the object had a circular look of about two feet in diameter. With a quick twist, the center area twisted and a second part moved out to extend the overall diameter by a foot and a half, with these edges being razor sharp. This entire motion took less than a second to complete.
The ground was still fairly solid when Kaz's fist would connect with Mike's temple. Kaz also dug his foot into the ground with a hard step and thrust the 'shield' at the water geyser, but paused as he noticed a ball? of electricity fly at the geyser. The water crackled for a millisecond before it dissapeared, either down the water pipe or out into the air with no where to go. Kaz now forced the 'shield' at the geyser at an angle to spray the water forward, aiming it almost fully at Tricity.
Kaz was moving nearly instantly after he slammed the 'shield' into the pipe's metal to keep the spray going towards their stuck up, big-ego'd leader. Dropping in a low spin, Kaz grabbed a normal throwing knife from his boot and threw it at Em's leg as she and Isabel faced off. His aim was not for her thigh, which would be the easiest to hit, but her calf. The speed of the knife was immensely fast, like a slow moving bullet, if it hit Em', it would go clear through the other side.
"Make sure Fade gets in." At least that's what Kaz thought he heard. He could have been wrong, but he doubted it. He saw Deathstar grab one of the gates and throw it at the Twins. <DAMNIT!> Kaz let loose, the ground under his feet exploded with the force of his jump. Halfway to the Twins, Kaz intercepted the gate. "Watch your asses!" Kaz yelled to the Twins.
Due to the force he took off with, when he grabbed the gate's bar at the 'top', it followed him as he impacted against the building two stories above the ground. As he impacted against the building the gate went above his head to hit the wall, breaking a few windows.
A great growl escaped from Kaz's throat, escalating into a roar/scream/yell, all at once the sound ranged from the lowest pitch to the highest. Pain was evident in the sound of his voice as his arms lengthened, a second pair grew from below his original set, his legs twisted and grew to work in the reverse way a human's does, his face elongated to accommodate his large maw with razor sharp teeth. His eyes began to glow with the fires of hell, making his appearance even more demon-like.
Leaping off the side of KP he dragged the gate with him halfway into his jump. At this time, he twisted his body and launched the gate at Deathstar. Unlike her straightforward throw, Kaz literally put a twist on his, the gate spun as it flew, reminiscent of a frisbee. He landed and took off towards Deathstar.

Amp was busy keeping track of the Invisible girl. She was fast, but Amp kept up a steady ultrasound to follow her. She seemed intent on getting to the building's entrance.
"Well now, we can't have that. Can we?" She began firing blasts on either side of the girl, spraying her with bits of concrete and dirt, and leaving small potholes in the ground. While the girl would be busy avoiding the potshots, Amp sent a concentrated shriek straight to her ears; though the attack was targeted, any mutant with sensitive hearing would be affected slightly.
>Incoming!< Vibe's warning came just as Kaz intercepted the gate thrown at them. It seemed Miss Invisible had some back up, Syn's sister. Deathstar, she'd called her.
"Watch your asses!" Kaz yelled to the Twins.
"Watch your own!" Amp shouted back a moment later, though she was grinning from ear to ear.
>I'll watch it for him,< Vibe added with an equally wide grin.
However both of them were completely distracted as he began to change. His shriek didn't faze them at all, but their jaws did drop and eyebrows rose a bit as they watched him change.
"Well, that explains the ears and the hair," Amp remarked.
>Glad we're on his side,< Vibe agreed, and snapped her fingers. Amp sent another directed screech at Deathstar as Kaz launched the gate and himself at her. Hopefully the screech would either deafen her, or at least distract her from the incoming projectiles.
Then the pair turned their attentions back to Miss Invisible, and resumed trying to drive her into Sentinel's oncoming attack.
Nail was pretty much driving blind, but he didn't really care. He could her alot of stuff going on around him though. He just hoped that invisable person wasn't doing anything stupid and gettin herself hurt.
Multible crashes and booms were heard through the crystal, and then, suddenly, Nail felt a great tingling/ numb sensation. It was fiently remenincent to something he had felt befor. He had a small flashback to a point. Him at Abyss throat, and suddenly getting stuck with an active wire and getting volts pumpe into him.
>Why the hell am I getting electricuted?!<
He was lucky that diamond was not a very good conducter, and the spikes seemed to ground him pretty well. But nontheless... it wasn't exactly comfortable. Suddenly, the diamond wheel became to glow a fient red hue. Nail wasn't sure what wasgoing on, but befor he could figure it out, the wheel exploded, sening shards flying in all directions.
Nail tumbled onto the ground, very confused. His armor was gone, which was not good at all. He got to his feet once more, and quickly gave himself another layer of crystal.
>Did I just... explode?<
He noticed the trail of mud, and the pot holes the twins semed to be making, and figured now wasn't the time to try and figure out what just happened. He wasn't quite sure what to do with himself though. He had to make it look like he was fighting. He couldn't just stand there. If he did, someone would no doubt take him out, either one of these x-men guys or even someone from the order.
"Wait, hold it!"
He ran after the trail of mud quickly, not attacking, just trying to find the person. They obviously weren't interested in fighting either, so if he could just chase them around for awhile, he might get through this.
Syn stood her ground at the top of the stairs leading to the front of the building. She watched as the ensuing chaos became more and more frenzied. A smile was clearly visible on her face. Her companions were holding their own very well against the infamous X-Men. Even Tricity hand her hands full. She watched her older sister, Deathstar, get into the mix when she absorbed some strength from one of Abyss' clones and launched a gate at the twins. About time you did something she thought as she watched her sister.
Kaz intercepted the gate and kept Amp and Vibe out of serious danger. This allowed them to continue to keep tabs on the invisible attacker. Soon her brother came to join her and stood at her side. "Beautiful isn't it dear brother? All the carnage and destruction."
Syn then turned to the twins. "Make sure our unseen friend stays out of the building ladies. Even if you have to blast the area with intense shock waves to do it. Nail can handle himself." Her tone had a certain hinting sound to it. Whatever it took to keep the X-men out.
The wolf girl noticed the the affect of the blow on Isabel. Though the girl tried to make it seem like it wasnt much it still would cause bruising, which may hinder her opponent in thier little duel. At that point Emerald mentally thanked Fusionist for teaching her how to fight as well as she did because it sure did come in handy when one was a superhero.
Emerald noticed the slashes and dodged once, twice.
"HA!"
WHAM!
SLICE!
The foot connected with her chin knocking her off balance. The blade also went clean through her calve, it didnt hit any vital tendions but she was still bleeding. She mentally attempted to slowl the bleeding with her powers so she wouldnt loose alot of blood. She stumbled a bit, using her tail to regain her balance. She rubbed her jaw, a small grin plastered on her face.
"Damn..you know even though you are my enemy that was a hell of a kick. Good shot." She complimented in all honesty.
The one thing she had learned though not from Fusionist was that when your enemy was a mutant, always respect your opponent if you both seem evenly matched. Respect them unless they are not respecting you.
Emerald smirked wolfishly now that her little love fest was over Em slashed at Isabel with her pawlike hand's claws aiming for her somach. SHe was starting to loose control of herself, due to the exileration of this fight, but she didnt care, she was having to much fun.
As kaz deflected the gate flying toward the twins, Deathstar realize she now has another problem on her hands. She was dedicated on making sure Fade gets into the building unseen, but this task was becoming difficult by the minute and Deathstar's patience is fading away with it. She was steady charging toward the the crystal guy when an annoying screech took over Deathstar's ears and stopping her dead in her tracks. Totally being distracted, Deathstar covered her ears with her hands, trying to ignore the sound but didn't help at all, she knew she had to take out those twins or this mission would be in jeopardy. She notice kaz charging toward, but with a quick glance she sees sharp crystal shards on the ground. Still recieving the screeching sounds from one of the twins, she picks up the sharp dagger-like crystal shards while doing a front somersault dodging kaz' attack. She lands on one knee, throwing three shards of crystal toward the twins all going in different pin-pointed directions.
((I think you've got my last two posts confused, Em. But, not to worry, I'll run with it. ))
Isabel gave a devilish little smirk as her foot connected with the girl's chin, watching as the lupine stumbled backward. And she was complimented on top of it, too. "Well, you aren't exactly the first person I've ever fought before. You're not half bad, yourself," she replied, watching the girl carefully for her next move. The kick had been hard, yes, but it definitely wasn't enough to put her out of commission. She took half a step back at the girl's next slash, watching the claws wearily as they aimed at her stomach, which was seemingly the girl's central focus of attack at this moment.
Bringing on arm down in front of her, she managed to catch the girl's hand with the bone spine just before the claws had a chance to catch in her flesh. Maneuvering that arm slightly, she caught the girl's wrist with her fingers and shoved downward, trying to throw her off balance before bringing up her opposite arm in a left hook, hoping to catch the lupine in the cheek with the mean looking spines jutting from her knuckles.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.
Tricity noticed the sudden change of force in the water cannon and saw it heading her way. "Christ..." She quickly released the electricity from her body, but it wasn't enough as the water jet came her way. Throwing herself to the muddy ground, Tricity avoided the full blast, but was still soaking from head to toe. She would be useless for a bit when it came to her mutation. Some electricity was still running through her body. Thankfully, it was only a small amount and the effects weren't a disaster. Her whole body was tingling annoyingly.
She looked back toward the front doors where Deathstar was attempting to help Fade inside. As Tricity made her way over, Sentinel had suddenly sent out a series of diamond spikes shooting across the field. Again, she threw herself to the ground and felt one embed into her shoulder. "Ah, dammit!" She rolled over and pulled the shard out just in time to see one of their vans come flying across the field. Tricity scrambled to her feet and slid across the mud and out of the way as the van crashed across the field. She looked back and saw it was one of the red clones.
'This is becoming rather annoying,' she thought, shaking from head to toe and absorping the electricity back into her body. She ran for the front doors and saw the red mutant and the second in charge. Shaking the pain away, Tricity created two of her electric balls in her hands and aimed for them. They needed to get Fade inside...
Now things were getting interesting. Syn watched Tricity take a hit in her shoulder from one of Nails crystal shards. She then got back up with a determined look on her face.
Leaning close to Abyss Syn whispered to him. "Here she comes brother. I'm going to take her. Don't let the X-Men inside."
She watched as Tricity charged for them and created balls of electricity. Syn readied herself. The leader of the X-Men aimed for the girl and her brother. The girl waited until the point when she thought Tricity would fire at them. Syn quickly dropped down and rolled to the side away from her brother. She then shot back up to her feet and charged back at Tricity with impressive speed for a 17 year old girl. She was going for something of a football tackle on the woman so that she could knock her down and and use her pheremones on Tricity to make the good guy leader either attack her own group or become docile.

"Make sure our unseen friend stays out of the building ladies. Even if you have to blast the area with intense shock waves to do it. Nail can handle himself."
>"Gladly"<
Amp sent a shockwave outward as crystal shards came flying in their direction. They twisted, and landed harmlessly to one side.
>"Hey, watch it Shards! We're on your side, remember?"<
Another barrage came at them from Deathstar's direction, and was also pushed aside, but the speed they came at was faster that the first throw, and barely missed Vibe. She glared at the goth-looking girl.
But Syn was right; Miss Invisible was their current problem. Time to put her out of commission. Amp sent out an ultra-sound call, high enough for certain animals to hear, keeping up her potshots at the same time to keep the girl distracted.
The first to arrive were a pack of alley cats. They were piqued; hissing, spitting and growling irritably. Next came a swarm of bats, shaken out of their roosts by the annoying cry. Both groups swarmed onto the field, mainly headed for Fade. One little bat came to roost in Vibe's hair, squeaking irritably. Echo wasn't too happy with the interruption of his sleep. Vibe reached up to untangle him, and stuck him in her shirt pocket idly.
"Let's shake things up a bit." As an added measure of distraction, Amp placed a hand on the ground. A low-pitched, but loud BOOOOMM!!! shook the air, and the ground began to heave and crack below the combatants.
Emerald thought to herself as a fist collided with her face. She was knocked rather awkwardly off of her feet, letting out a yelp of pain, blood flowing from her bruised cheek. She put her arm out so she wouldn’t fall on her already bleeding face, bracing her fall.
At that moment she lost her concentration on holding the blood on the wound of her leg in and it started to flow out a little quicker. The wolf girl grumbled and quickly wrapped a bandana around the wound for temporary bandage.
BOOM!
“Oh what now?” Emerald growled aloud as she heard the boom, she also saw the ground start breaking from beneath her. She growled irritably before looking up at Isabel a small smile on her face.
She looked like she would aim for the girls stomach again with her foot but instead she attempted to kick her legs out from underneath her so she would be in the same situation as Emerald.
A dark little chuckle escaped Isabel with the spattering of blood caused by her fist as the wolf girl was struck and knocked to the ground. Carefully she cracked her knuckles, smearing some of the blood as she wiped at it absentmindedly. She had drawn first blood, that was satisfactory enough, even if the fight ended in a tie or somehow turned in the lupine's favor. She was distracted a moment from her opponent, however as a loud rumble filled the air and the ground cracked. Looks like the twins were having some fun. Isabel stumbled only slightly at first as the ground heaved beneath her feet, having to take a step or two to the side to avoid a crack that split the muddy earth.
Another half step was taken back as the lupine kicked at her again, expecting another shot at her stomach, though she was caught off guard as instead the girl's foot hooked her ankle and knocked it out from under her, causing Isabel to stumble terribly, reflexively sticking her remaining sword tip into the ground once again to try and keep her balance. Unfortunately, she'd stuck her weapon into a particularly muddy patch, and it simply slipped through the dirt rather than sticking and she tumbled back onto her rear and into the rumbling, slippery ground. Great. Now she'd have to go to the dry-cleaners when this was all over. Her poor outfit.
With a childish little pout, she quickly scrambled back to her feet, having a bit of trouble with slipping and sliding not wanting to remain on the ground for too long and let the girl gain an advantage. Stupid burst water pipe making stupid mud that she kept slipping in. She'd noted that knife Kaz had thrown which had embedded itself into her calf, which was currently wrapped up in a bandanna. Bleeding meant it was a weak spot. She'd have to keep that in mind for the near future. And, if Isabel was slipping around, chances are Rover would be in the same position. Holding up her left hand once again, she let the spines in her knuckles elongate and thin out slightly while at the same time the sword slid back up into her palm, much like the previous one had, similar spines instead growing from the knuckled on her right hand as well, doing exactly the same as the ones on her left were doing. Taking one spine between each of her fingers of both hands, she brandished her knew needle-like weapons, each at least six inches long. With another pleased little grin, she swept out one arm, giving a flick of her wrist and sending the first four needles straight at the wolf girl at an impressive speed before repeating the same process with the other arm.
I’m just a well-adjusted gal who likes to leave a serious amount of mayhem in her wake.

Kaz shook his head at Deathstar as she rolled forward to avoid the flying gate, which missed her by maybe an inch. His maw held a smile as his brain raced through the ways she could have dodged. <Quite risky, but it seemed to work...barely.> His body was on auto pilot as his mind imagined his thoughts. <She could have dropped flat and given herself more safety room for when it flew over. Rolling backwards would work. If she got hit, she'd be able to roll with the blow. If she didn't, she'd have more room between us...more time to think and react.> He seemed to sigh slightly. <Rolling forward was a big gamble. Moving toward the incoming object quickens the intercept time which makes many people misjudge and get hit. Also when going forward it's harder to drop low enough to dodge, she's lucky she even had an inch...Besides.> He laughed inwardly. <Now she's in my attack range and still crouched.> His mind came back quickly as his body was retrieving the whipblade.
One of his small hands grabbed the handle of his whip and pulled it off. He saw the shards fly towards the Twins. He knew he couldn't stop them, so he didn't try. Instead he snapped the unique whipblade at Deathstar.
All along the 'rope' of the whip (which was made out of a non magnetic, strong, flexible metal) ran razor sharp 'teeth' like that of a bansaw blade or chain saw. At the tip was a nasty, razor sharp, four sided blade. If looked at from the front the blade would look like a + sign. Running along the edge of each blade were backwards curving hooks. The most dangerous change to this whipblade is that the blade at the tip can split into four different whips attached to one handle.
Kaz snapped the whipblade at Deathstar with a loud *CRACK!* The tip was aimed at her head. *CRACK CRACK CRACKCRACKCRACK* The whip snapped repeatedly at Deathstar as Kaz tried to inflict maximum damage as fast as possible. The whip didn't attack straight in, but from above, below, and from the sides. As Kaz moved his hand, the whip seemed to shiver, if he missed, the rope moved in random directions trying to lash out at any flesh nearby. Hooked onto Kaz waist where the whip was, was a gauntlet which he slipped onto his other small arm. The gauntlet was made of a rigid metal in the same 'family ' as the whip.
With one of his large hands, he reached behind his back and drew four blades with round loops for handles, similar in design to kunais, each loop was around one claw. With a strong snap of his arm, which looked exaggerated due to it's immense size, he threw each blade at Deathstar attempting to move her where he wanted to so he could get a good clean blow with the whipblade. His other large hand was free and unoccupied, readied for anything Deathstar could throw at him.
Deathstar grunted as her second attempt didn't fall through, but she had much worse situation to worry about. Deathstar still leaning on one knee saw that Kaz was on her tail, and she was infact welcoming the challenge , she wasn't the kind of girl to run and hide so she braced herself for his charge. She heard a whipping sound popping through the midst of battle, once again this kaz character was getting under her skin and it was about time she dealt with him. It seems this mission was becoming impossible by the minute, but Deathstar stayed focus on getting Fade inside that sactuary.
Kaz came running toward her with a specialized whip in his hand ready to attack her, She pulled out her dagger from her boot and puts it between her teeth. Staying in the kneeled postion, in her mind she thanked Raph for his training and turned her focus on the four blades headed toward her, she jumped up doing to back handsprings toward one of the X-men vans that one of the clones threw in front of the Sanctuary. As in motion towards the vehicle, one of the blades slashed across Deathstar's calfs, it wasn't a deep cut but deep enough to bleed. "Ah!, bastard" she belched out in pain as one the blades cut her, she dived over the van placing her back on the vehicle bracing herself for Kaz attack.
Fade looked over to see Jared approaching fast, but before he reached her, Tricity had come to the rescue and he...well..exploded. So he began running after the invisible girl. Fade dropped down on the ground and rolled across the grass, getting as much of the mud off of her that she could, she jumped to her feet and shook her body rapidly so that she wouldn't leave such a noticeable trail.
She looked over as Deathstar was trying to help her and Fade began to run towards the girl before a horrid screech sounded in her ears and she grabbed them in pain and closed her eyes for a moment. When her eyes opened, she saw that there were gangs of cats and bats coming straight for her. She muffled a laugh as she saw the 'power of the twins.' Pretty pathetic. So she's going to get scratched and run into by bats? Was that their power? Fade did make a small noise that could be classified as a laugh, but it wasn't too loud and it wasn't too long before she ran over to the building wall and jumped onto it, latching on with her claws as they phased through. Now bats were coming...still funny.
A loud boom echoed through her mind and she let go of the wall with her hands, falling backwards. However, since her feet still held on, she didn't fall far before the threw her hands forward and caught herself, basically doing an up-side-down bridge on the wall. Muttering as the boom subsided. She let go with her feet, flipped down, and caught onto the wall with her feet again before scuttling up the wall and to the roof. The doors were blocked off, no way to get in, unless you could walk up walls. She finally reached the roof and crawled ontop, knowing full well that needed to find the vents and quickly because the twins were following her, that was a fact because the bats hadn't left her alone and she had been swatting at the the whole time. Finally, she found the odd-looking ventilation escape and she kicked it over after the second time and jumped inside. Now she was in a very tight area and it was extremely hard to move, even if she could dig her claws into the metal and pull herself along. She just hated to think of what the order would do when they realized how close she was to entering the building and freeing all of their hostages.
((Honestly guys, please don't correct me this time. Buildings have airshafts otherwise you wouldn't have airconditioning. Follow me, attack me ,stop me, that's fine, but please don't correct me this time))
