The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

I have been having this idea stirring in my head for sometime, and I wished to share to see how everyone likes it.
With current development at the Sanctuary, I feel that a power play is necessary to reestablish who actually to running the Order. I was thinking about two or three groups begin to rival each other. One group forming with the current leadership and another one opposing them and offering their own leader. Maybe, a third that seeks to gain from the conflict and possibly the deciding factor in the battle.
I don't have any really solid plans for the battle. I just believe that as "evil" as the Order is, we would have conflict between each other.
Also, this would be a great way to battle against people that we never get to fight with otherwise.
Like I said, it is just a rough idea. Let me know what you think.
While I've had a similar thoughts on leader of the Order, I can't really see the Order fighting each other. As far as Aurion knows, Lori is the leader, he's never met Lenna (I think that's her name), who from what I gather is suppose to be the other half of the leadership structure. So I could see how the leadership could change hands. If it did change hands, I see it being more subtle than flashy and obvious.
Oh, I can definitely seeing the Order fight each other. When too many people want the power to themselves, there will always be a struggle for that power.
Just an update:
So I thought this idea might have died, but I talked with Ghost (Lori) and she was actually looking for a way for Lori to get out of the Order. However, she would like to maintain control of Faust Pharmaceuticals.
So, that is one step closer to this idea becoming a reality. As this plot would involve nearly the entire Order, I would love to get input from all Order members. I still to talk to Lenna about it as well as get Admin approval. Please feel free to leave your comments below. If you want to discuss something and don't feel comfortable talking about it here, feel free to PM me.
Thank you, Your Friendly Neighborhood Shadow Grim (Shade)

Check the site-wide PM recently sent, all. The Order is moving towards a Council-Based system much like the X-men. This arrangement will be new for the Order, and the people involved. As I am playing it, Lenna gained control from Lori peaceably, and is working with greater control over things. That doesn't mean in-fighting couldn't occur, but I want to focus on getting the council set-up with Lenna in-character before having to worry about threats from all sides. And when such threats occur, you can bet she'll react in-kind.
(the)Abyss(i) isn't very power hungry, he does however have a mutant supremacy agenda he would love to see the order pursue. as far as in fighting goes he would be annoyed that others were bickering. I like and support the idea ooc, IC however Abyss would oppose the heck out of such developments. a house devided is a house conquered after all.
as for Lori leaving the order and retaining the faust pharm, I am sure as the ceo she could have done so, and perhaps even that is part of the peaceful trade off to Lenna, what does she need another set of labs for anyhow. That said perhaps the Order can still retain some stock in FP?
ooc: I think that more leaders is a great idea just because it gives us the opportunity to have more people propelling the Order forward and give the faction more to do.
As far as the set up of splitting power, I could see that coming about a couple ways, Lenna could request the assistance of the others in running the show, realizing it might be a little smoother of a transition for her take over, Im not sure that the Abyssi would accept Lenna at face value for a leader by simply being told they were in charge now. or Lori could have set it up/suggested it on the way out? Or Lenna could announce her leadership and the others go not happening.
the most important thing is for it to start moving, I don't care what direction or how, but at the moment it feels more like a bunch of random criminals living at the sanctuary opposed to a faction. /ooc.
I have an amusing idea for the first major encounter between Lenna and the AByssi.(at least it amuses me.)
Since Syn is already trying to position herself back into a place of power she'd most likely be willing to accept such a proposal. Her only concern would just how the power would be divided (if it's brought up as such). Her other thinking would be as she's always viewed some of the others as team leaders or something of the sort. (ie...Isabel, Abyss...etc)
On the other hand...depending how the subject is brought up there could be a power struggle.
Edit: It's possible Lori sends Lenna a message while Lenna and Syn are having their little meeting.
I could see the council idea forming up as a way to share the power after the battle begins to escalates. Obviously, it would be hard to attack Lenna as she neutralizes anyone's powers who attacks her.
I was thinking eariler today about how things could get started. I came up with a five step plan that would be reasonable. This is just an idea of how it could come around.
1) Discomfort- some of the Order members start talking to each other, discussing how they are not happy with the current leadership
2) Rallying Point- the unhappy members come together under a new leader
3) War- the two (or three) groups fight it out to decide who will rule
4) Compromise- a truce is called after it is obvious that the fighting is at a stalemate
5) Resolution- the leaders get together and form a new plan (the council) which is agreed upon by all
I had watch today so I was rather bored for four hours and that is where this plan came from. I know it isn't much, but it is more of a framework than a plan.
That 5 step plan sounds to me like an interesting idea. The council on its own helps even out the Order's goal for New York (and the future world) but having some discomfort and bickering in the beginning of the shift of power helps open the order up for newer members ( like myself) to have a more active role in the faction threads.
While I personally don't vote for open fighting among the members, this is small scale politics. there are lines drawn in sharpie marker between the different candidates who are on the council.
this also allows for the secrecy of the orders goals still hidden from public but among the ranks it is openly worked on and pushed forward. (as far as the mods say we can that is ^_^ )
*Waves hand.* Aurion will have issues with Lenna. To him, Lenna is a complete unknown and a human, a human that is able to cancel out the abilities of mutants, which makes her a threat...well a complication at least. That being said though, Aurion may not be as supernaturally strong or fast within Lenna's field, but he won't loose any of his armor, claws, etc., so he'd be on even ground with Lenna so to speak. No matter how it ended, he'd reject Lenna completely.
As for being unhappy with the leadership, well, until he finds out a human is running (or trying to) things, Aurion will probably just follow/tag along with and follow what the others say, the members he knows that is.
I could see that happening Grim. Syn still has a hatred for Adapteds after what happened to her during her abduction. She hasn't found a reason to trust Lenna as of yet and she knows many of her fellow Order members are bored and feel like nothing is being done. Since Syn's return she haas been doing as much gathering of information as she can as well as getting a feel for where others might stand. She will call upon those she trusts to support her.
I do not really want to have a battle. Lenna wouldn't engage in one. She'd simply blow people up when they least expected it, to remove opposition. She is an assassin, after all. She wouldn't engage in a direct confrontation with someone such as, say, Aurion. She's smarter than that.
I'd prefer to keep this more subtle, like Seyta is talking about. More behind-closed-doors. It's politics, not warring in the streets.

Regarding the inspiration for the formation of the council, that's already at work in Lenna's head in our thread, Syn. I have a plan.
