The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Hina stood up before Ruki could say anything. The doll pointed at Mike then ran it's hand across it's throat in the familair "i'm going to kill you" gesture.
It then hopped into Ruki's lap and sat down.
Ruki blushed angrily, she couldn't yell at the doll not in front of all the people so she just nodded at Mike. Hina knew she was angry though and laughed in her head.
(Might as well get him now, any friend of Des's enemies is an enemy of yours right?)
"Now now, who said we're all enemies?" Mike thought to them, catching the odd sensation of the 'doll' communicating to Ruki. He sat in the seat, keeping an eye on the wrestlers.
Hina jerked in Ruki's lap, as Ruki did in the seat.
Ruki could hear Mike clearly, as clearly as she heard Hina. But Hina could never hear Ruki's thoughts. Ruki has assumed she was the only one who could hear Hina but she'd never met a telepath before.
"I..I am sorry, Hina can be a bit rude at times."
(I'm just keeping it real. And being enemies is so much more fun than being friends.)
(Oh, can we get rid of him and get this over with?)Hina pleaded with Ruki. The doll wasa bit offended but all of it's emotions usually channeled into anger because it was the emotion Ruki seemed to surpress the most.
"Oh, I don't know." Ruki said softly ,so softly it was hard to hear her. "I just came with her because I...I just came along." she shrugged.
He gave her a knowing smile. "Because it's hot when she fights?" He didn't say it in any of the usual leering ways, he just presented it as a calm fact.
Ruki nodded. "Well, the fight will be over soon. She does not stand a chance against Desiree. This is her territory. And these are her fans." Ruki said.
Almost on cue the voices of those nearby rang out as individuals shouted encouraging cheers for Desiree.

Desiree cracked her neck side to side, and rotated her shoulders. This was going to be a tough one, and she knew it. When Desiree was locked away withing the beastial mind of Soul, she saw and heard everything Soul did. So she knew already from the previous fight that Daria was formidable. Desiree didn't hate Daria, she didn't even really dislike her, it was more like a respectful rivalry. "No teleporting for you, no bad hair day for me, alright hun?" Desiree said, offering her hand to Daria, as the referee got into the ring.

Daria nodded, able to tell from her scent that the girl was sincere.
She held out her hand as well. "I won't need that stuff anyways." she grinned. The match was going to be tough, even though Tae Kwon do was self defense and suited for thwarting moves like those in wrestling, Desiree was good at what she did and the cat-woman was wise enough not to underestimate that.

Desiree shook Daria's hand, and backed away a bit. "No insults, no side comments from the peanut gallery?" desiree thought in her mind. "I had my turn, now it's yours Dessy." Sould replied matter-of-factly. "Right." Desiree said aloud, getting into "the zone". She assumed her most common stance. Halting a moment, she looked over to one side of the ring, on the outside were scattered the remains of the previouce match before her and HHH. Among the items from that hardcore match, were the following: Stop signs, aluminum trash cans and their lids, kendo sticks, and other hardcore match items. "If you want to make this a hardcore match, tell me now." Desiree said, pointing to the foreign objects.

Daria shrugged. It was time to focus and not be thrown off course. She regulated her breathing and assumed the fighting stance. Her right leg went back as her right arm came up to her face level and her left arm came up to her chest.
"You use all the props you wish," Daria said calmly. "But the warrior's greatest weapon is her mind."
