The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Waking up the next morning still snuggled closely with Rhythm Syn smiled and enjoyed the shared warmth for a few moments. Then she carefully snuck out of bed and called to the dining area to have them bring a cart of food to her door. After quietly brining the cart into her room Syn sat on the edge of the bed next to the woman who had shared her bed. “Wake up sleeping beauty. I have breakfast for us.”
But then again, she wasn't used to waking up next to people she actually wanted to wake up next to. To top it off, the gorgeous woman that Rhythm had woken up to had breakfast, and it was a vision so heavenly she actually wondered if she hadn't died and gone to heaven. It was only a shame that Syn wasn't naked, otherwise Rhythm knew she'd probably get a bloody nose right then and there on principal alone. Still, she grinned and sat up, unashamed of her own nakedness as she darted forward with a quick kiss to Syn's cheek, not wanting to subject the woman with her morning breath.
“Mornin' love,” Rhy stated before she dug in to her food. She rolled her eyes to the back of her head, savoring it. She knew she'd probably ask for more as she knew her own appetite, but for now this was wonderful. That didn't stop her from sneakily stabbing her fork onto one of the huge strawberries Syn had on her own plate. “Yer an angel fer bringin' food ta me. Quickest way ta mah heart, if'n I do say so myself...that is if'n you didn't already steal it.” She winked and nommed the strawberry. “What say we...spend tha day in bed, hm? Or do ya have otha plans fer us?”
Smiling at the morning kiss on the cheek Syn bit into a strawberry while admiring her company’s figure. “Good morning to you my dear. Sleep well?” She giggled at the woman stealing a strawberry from her plate. “You’re welcome hun. I thought you might be hungry. I know I am.” Syn glanced at Rhythm’s beautiful chest and smiled. “Now how could I of stolen your heart?”
Leaning back against the headboard emerald eyes glittered as they gazed upon Rhythm. Syn couldn’t help but smile. She smiled because she felt so comfortable with this new woman. She felt a connection that hadn’t been around for a very long time. She wanted to help that connection become stronger and unbreakable if she could. “I don’t mind snuggling for awhile more, but I thought we’d go out on the town also.”
“Slept fine, love.” Rhythm stuttered a bit as she watched Syn bite into that strawberry. She knew walking into this...relationship, she supposed, that Syn was seductive in just about everything she did. The woman oozed sex, after all, but eating food? She wondered, briefly, what Syn looked like eating a hamburger. “And troof beh told, ah dun think ya had ta try all dat hard ta take mah heart. Ah'm tinkin' it was yers from de beginin'.”
The next statement made Rhy swoon a bit, but on the inside. Syn knew, or at least Rhythm guessed Syn knew, that Rhy was madly in love with her. But still, a bit of her old habits kicked in when dealing with high class women such as Syn and opted to smile big instead of showing just how much Syn's comment meant to her. Rhy was a snuggler, after all, and would have loved nothing more than to lay all day with her belle and see where the day took them. Lazing about with Syn was just so...appealing. Rhythm had never really felt like that with many other people.
“Whatcha got in mind, belle?” Rhythm tilted her head and gazed at her (unfortunately) fully clothed girlfriend. “'Cause snugglin' with ya all day makes da butterflies in mah stomach all a'flutter. Especially when we dun got much separatin' us...if ya catch mah meanin'.”
Listening to what Rhythm said about her heart made Syn feel all warm and fuzzy. She hadn’t even tried to do anything other than be herself. Was that all she had to do for such a response? Whatever the cause Syn was enjoying the effect.
Fingers stroked through soft black hair while emerald eyes looked into red ones. “Oh, I’m not in a hurry. There’s plenty of time for snuggling my dear. We could even snuggle after we go out.” Syn gently caressed Rhythm’s side with a subtle smile. “I was just thinking we could go out on the town. Kind of like a date or just hanging out.”
