The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

[glow=blue,2,300]Finding what he believed to be a decent spot of what looked like an old Highway that wasnt really used much he stopped the car. Reaching over he turned up the radio. 'Highway to Hell' was on and The road was dry and clear. Putting the big car in first, he let the RPMs rocket to about three and a half grand and then he dumped the clutch. The big car jumped off the line so fast that the front end pulled off the ground and stayed hanging there in the air until he shifted into second. The tachometer buried itself toward redline. He shifted again and was delighted to have tunnel vision all through fourth gear. Once he shifted into fifth he glanced down at his custom speedometer. It read over 200mph already. His foot left the pedal and he let the car slow it self down. Very happy with his work he reached over and shut down the supercharger. Replacing the safety guard he took a leisurly ride home and even stopped to get himself a burger at one of the fifties style drive ins that had survived the area. Enjoying his burger and the atmosphere, some guy came up to Orion and asked if he was selling the car, when Orion replied with "Not a chance in hell, my friend." the other guy struck up a conversation about the car. Orion tolerated this for some time but really wanted to get going. Using a tiny burst of Chaos he set the other mans car alarm off. The man abruptly said goodbye to Orion and headed toward his car in search of whomever set it off. Orion grinned and started his motor. The loud rumble that echoed off the building warranted him several looks from quite a few women that had taken up seats convientlyacross from the car where he was sitting. Putting the car into gear he rumbled out into the street and finished his homeward trek.[/glow]
Still half not paying attention to where he was going he had weaved his way in and out of traffic the whole way here. Finding an abondoned stretch of road Orion just began to playaround on the bike. Seeing what it would do what it wouldnt. At one point he had the entire bike up on the front wheel. With his helmet on he didnt quite hear the other bikers coming around until they were a good hundred feet away. Looking up he saw them coming and moved over to let them by. Instead of just riding by and waving like all bikers did this pack slowed to a halt, encircling him. Orion didnt like this one bit, but kept his tounge still for the time being. What semed to be the leader of the pack, got off his bike and removed his helmet and came over to Orion. Orion popped the front end on his helmet to talk to the guy. The stranger seemed to be very proud of himself. Almost too proud. Orion sensed a power in him that the rest didnt have. He was a mutant. Telling Orion he wanted all his money he swaggered closer to him with a nasty smile. orion began topull out his wallet but spoke at the same time. "Guys, I dont think you want to rob me. Thats a crime you know." the man gawffed at him and looked over to his buddies, whil laughing.
"This 'ere guy thinks wes commitin' a crime boys!" They all laughed. The man produced a retractable batom. twitching his wrist he made the baton extend fully with a snap. This one was metal and dangerous. Orion had come across these before, he didnt much like them but he preferred these to guns. Smiling Orion began to put hs wallet away. The man noticed this, and growled back at him.
"Gimme yer damn money, man before I crush yer purty little skull!"
"I dont think your going to be able to manage that with that little rod." Orion chuckled back. the guy got pissed and swung hard.
Orion was now enjoying himself. Two good work outs in two days. This is what he missed from the past. Living by the sword, well at least by the fist at this point, anyway. The baton struck both his upraised hands squarly. There would probably be a black and blue there for a bit. The strangers face dropped as he watched the steel bar bounce off Orions arm. Moving quickly still on the bike Orion's right arm shot out and struck the stranger in the throat causing him to tumble to the ground with a broken windpipe. Gasping for breath he reached out to one of his friends. The guy helped him onto the back of his bike and told the rest of them to take care of Orion while he brought the injured one to the hospital. The bike turned and sped off toward the city. The rest of the gang however had all at once encircled Orion swinging chains, patting bats and one even had a set of brass knuckles. This was going to be fun Orion thought. The first guy swung with the chain. Orion ducked and spun off the bike. Leaping high in the air he came down and struck the chain guy with a hard right across the face. The guy spun as he fell swinging the chain. Orion had not anticipated this and got caught in the shoulder with this. Luckily the chain jacket he was wearing laughed at this miniscule spun it high in the air and let go. It hurtled away from the battle scene. Orion didnt want to use weapons if he could help it. Brass knuckles came at him swinging. This guy was quick, but Orion was huge in comparisson. He swung and it connected but it hadnt caused orion much pain at all and the small guy cocked his arm back for another swing. Orion used the incoming momentum and swung the guy around behind causing him to strike the guy with the blade. Both went down, for now.
Orion turned to face the second chain weilding opponent who immediatly took a swing at Orions face. Lunging back Orion narrowly avioded the strike. He did however feel the wind pass his face as the chain whistled through the air. Then Orion got a plan in his head and his grin widened. The chain swung again this time harder. Orion reached out and caught the airborne offender and held it fast for half a second. Then he leaned back and pulled hard and fast. The fool on the other end didnt let go and was hurtled toward Orion. The last thing the chain weilder saw was a massive limb outstreched out in front of him as he collided with it and then met the pavement, up close and personal. Smiling deeply Orion dusted his hands off and thought about something. Using the chains that the gang members had used on him he tied all the bikes to his. Then used a fine pointed blast of Order. This was designed to keep all the bikes upright while being towed down the road. Orion hoppe don his bike and slowly took off while holding his helmet on the control arms. For the most part they seemed to be trailing well. he almost made it to a bike shop but the last one accidentally fell down and scratched up a bit but otherwise ok.
