The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

After being forced to let two of her female friends into her apartment, Sarah was then put into tight and revealing clothing. "Do I really have to wear this?" she asked.
"Yes," one of her friends stated.
"We're going out. Wearing this is mandatory," the other agreed.
The brunette rolled her eyes, but she smiled at her rather aggressive friends. Finally she was dressed. The tight bright blue top covered only a little more than her bra, but she had worn less going swimming. The shorts she was in didn't pass her mid-thigh and were made of a shiny gold material. Her friends slipped many bright and shiny bracelets onto her arms as well as a blue shoulder purse. Her hair was let loose of its braid and fell down her back in waves. A pair of silver wedges completed her outfit.
The walk to the club was full of chatter and daily-life updates. When they arrived, one of her friends flirted with her bouncer boyfriend. They got in quickly. Sarah felt bad about skipping so many people in the line, but her friends got her mind off of it with dancing and a few drinks.
After a few dances and several rounds of drinks, Sarah's turn to get the drinks came around. She worked her way over to the bar and ordered the needed drinks: two shots and a virgin margarita. The nice thing about the club they were at was that the drinks were delivered to the table number you gave them. Her friends would get their shots while Sarah's drink would be given to her at the bar.
"Might as well stay here for a bit. Try to sober some," Sarah mumbled to herself. Her voice faded into the loud music.

It was night time. Time for the night life to come out and play. He'd spent a lot of time working lately. A lot of missions. A lot of time paperwork at the mansion and even more time training. He'd taken a lazy day today. Just a light workout and a lot of rest. He was ready to go to the club tonight. Streak was dressed in a night white button down shirt and a pair of dark blue jeans and a pair of black shoes. He needed a little fun time to relax and figure out what was going on around here. Streak was glad to be busy but there were times when a nice night out would be something that he wanted every once in a while.
Streak parked his car a little away from the club. There was no reason for him to be to close in case something went down, he didn't want his car to get messed up. As he walked back Shawn scoped out the girls that were heading in the same direction as him. He was getting plenty of looks and was also giving plenty of looks back. There was no shame in it. He wasn't tied down, as far as he knew anyways. His last long term girlfriend hadn't been around in a while and he figured that meant they were over. Technicalities aside Streak was here to jut have some fun, drink a little bit and maybe meet a few new girls.
Once Shawn was up to the club he simply waved to the bouncer and was let in. It's always a good thing when you've done a few favors for the owner of the club. They always treat you well. Skipping the line was just one of the perks that he got. Streak walked up to the bar and ordered a crown and coke, when he finally got the bartenders attention. It was quickly made for him and he noticed a girl standing at the bar near him wearing a very attractive blue top and shorts. He certainly wasn't going top pass up this opportunity.
Shawn walked over to her and said, "Hey there. My names Shawn what's yours?" He took a sip of his drink and tried not to make a face. They'd made his drink especially light tonight, which meant that the drinks were strong tonight.

Emily stood in the line to a local club. She wore a revealing top that showed off her collarbone. The blood-red shirt was short-sleeved and hugged tightly around her waist. She wore a pair of tight jeans and stylish black boots that went up to her ankles. The undead girl had met a co-worker here for a night of dancing. Emily had shared with her friend, a plump girl with short, brown hair, that she had never danced in New York yet. The girl was happy to take Emily out and show her favorite hotspots.
The two women had been waiting in line for about thirty minutes. The girl, Janette, kept apologizing for the long wait, but Emily wasn’t bothered by it at all. She took the time to look at the people around her. Everyone was dressed to impress and ready to socialize. A group of girls cut in front of the line. One seemed to know one of the bouncers very well. They were let in. Janette groaned, complaining of people getting special treatment. Soon after, a handsome, young man skipped the growing line. Janette didn’t complain this time. She whispered in Emily’s ear to try to get that guy’s attention once in the club.
After another fifteen minutes they were able to enter. Janette made a b-line to the bar. She ordered something fruity and strong and began to drink it intently. Emily ordered a beer. It was the easiest to pretend to drink. The two girls made their way to the dancefloor, both of them looking for the attractive man from before.
Sarah jumped a little as her thoughts were interrupted. She looked through the few strands of hair that had fallen into her face to see a brown haired man next to her. He had a drink in his hand, but it looked like he hadn't been at the club long.
"Sarah," the woman replied as she tucked her hair behind her gold studded ear. "Nice to meet you, Shawn."
The man, Shawn, was attractive. Sarah turned her body in the seat so that she was facing him. She didn't want to seem rude. He was probably one of the few sober men in the club.
Out of the corner of her eye, the brunette spotted a blonde woman in red on the dancefloor. She and the woman she was with seemed to be looking for someone, though Sarah really couldn't help them. Not from where she was at least.

Sarah, as it turned out her name was, was attractive. Up close she was even more attractive. She turned her chair to face him and he knew that he was making progress already. He'd only been in the club for a few minutes but he was already ahead on the game. It might have been because she might have been there longer but he wasn't going to judge.
Streak noticed that she saw some people. He looked out onto the dance floor where another attractive girl in red was dancing with her friend. "Do you know them?" Streak took another sip of his drink and it seemed to go down much easier this time. He was a little tempted to ask her to dance but they were both enjoying their drinks and there would be plenty of time for dancing later.
Streaks silver eyes caught light of the bar as he flashed a smile at Sarah. "So are you waiting for someone?" He didn't want to stall her if she was on her way to meet someone.

Emily watched her friend a few seconds to figure out how to dance. There didn’t seem to be any form to the dancing. It was just bumping and grinding. Emily had been trained in Waltz, Ballroom, and other classical styles. She even learned to swing-dance back in the 1920’s. But there was no form to this style, if you could even call it a style of dance. The beautiful zombie tried her best at it. She hoped she didn’t look too ridiculous.
Her friend, Janette, tapped her on the shoulder. “There’s that hott guy from earlier! We NEED to go talk to him.”
Emily was quickly dragged by the wrist toward the bar. It looked like the man was already engaged in a conversation with an attractive brunette. But that wouldn’t stop Janette from trying to sink her claws on the man. Time for Emily to break up a conversation.
“HI!!” Janette slipped her way inbetween the two and put her elbow on the bar. She did her best to show off her ample chest. The bigger girl gave her full attention to the silver-eyed man. “My name is Janette. Could I buy you a drink?”
Emily smiled at the Brunette as she tried to get her attention away from the man. “Ai just adore yur outfit! Whereva did you git it?”
Sarah shook her head in the negative. She didn't know the two women. They had just caught her eye. She blamed the red shirt. It was something she'd like to own, if she had the money.
>>"So are you waiting for someone?"
Sarah smiled at that. "No, I'm with some friends. They're probably dancing or drinking. Either way, I don't really want to go back to them."
The human woman quickly noticed that the two were headed over to them. The larger of the two women slipped in between Sarah and Shawn with a quick greeting and question about drinks. 'That's one way to get someone's attention,' she thought with a laugh. She kept her body facing Shawn as she turned her head to the speaking blonde.
>>“Ai just adore yur outfit! Whereva did you git it?”
Sarah smiled at the blonde woman. She seemed to just be trying to help her friend get a guy. It was sweet, though it would leave her without company, if it worked.
"I'm not too sure, actually," she answered. "My friends kinda forced me into it. I love your shirt by the way."

"No, I'm with some friends. They're probably dancing or drinking. Either way, I don't really want to go back to them."
Yes. Winning! Streak was on a roll. He was making some serious progress with Sarah. He was hoping that he could keep it up and this would turn into a very good night for all interested parties. Their conversation was cut short the bigger of the two that both him and Sarah had spotted moments before slipped in between them. Streak could tell that she was trying really hard to keep his attention.
Not that he was really complaining to much. He certainly didn't mind having more than one girl vying for his attention at the moment. "Hi Janette. I'm Shawn. Thanks for the offer but I'm ok on the drink. Maybe the next round." Streak said holding up his practically full glass up for her to see.
Shawn craned his head around Janette to look at Sarah. He'd certainly seen, and used this tactic before. Never to this extent; but they were pulling it off very nicely. He could see that Sarah was now engaged in a conversation with the girl in red. Ironically the girl in red was the one that he'd spotted from across the dance floor, not really the one that was in front of him right now. Streak decided he might as well talk to Janette since Sarah was in the middle of discussing wardrobe options with the other girl.
In Streak's humble opinion this was either going to be a night for the record books or an ordinary club night for him. Which one it was going to be depended on how he made his next move. The ball was in his court and he was about to run with it. "So Janette..." He took a sip of his drink again. "What brings you to the club tonight? Were you just looking for me or am I just a perk for the night?" Streak kidded with her. He didn't really care but it was still a good start to this conversation away from replacing full drinks.

Emily smiled at the brunette’s compliment. “Oh this old thing? Ai got this foreva ago in Nawlins. That’s where aim frum. Nawlins. Moved hea not long ago. Luv this city. It’s always awake and teamin with action and life. Where yew from? Yew live in this city long?” Emily could talk anyone’s ear off. All she had to do was keep this brunette occupied. She hope the girl didn’t get mad and push the two intruders out of her way. She had seen fights over attractive men before. They could get quite catty. “Oh whea are my manners? Ma name is Emily.”
Janette smile at Shawn even wider and took a big gulp of her cocktail. She was about to answer his question when her phone vibrated in her back pocket. The girl checked her phone and seemed surprised at what was on the screen. “Excuse me. I have to take this.” Janette put the phone to her ear and headed toward the entrance, trying to find a quiet place to talk.
Emily wasn’t planning on Janette leaving the scene of action. She quickly widened the circle to let Shawn into the group. Didn’t want him to feel unwanted so he would wander away. “Mai friend shouldn’t be long. Really nice girl she is. Very funny.” Emily knew Janette just wanted attention and maybe a phone-number, but she would never be forgiven if she let this guy get away.
The twenty-three year old sipped her drink as she listened to the blonde woman ramble a bit. When questions were thrown her way, Sarah answered them. "I'm from Seattle. I haven't been in the city long. A few months, I suppose. It's hard to keep track." The
>>“Oh whea are my manners? Ma name is Emily.”
The brunette smiled. "I'm Sarah," she replied automatically.
Out of the corner of her eye, Sarah saw the other woman leave the little party with her phone pressed to her ear. Emily moved just as quickly as her friend left to bring Shawn into the circle. The brunette simply moved her head so both Emily and Shawn were in her view.
>>“Mai friend shouldn’t be long. Really nice girl she is. Very funny.”
Another smile flew across Sarah's lips at the blonde woman's words. The brunette had gone to clubs enough with her friends, male and female, to know the tatics girls used. She also knew what would most likely happen if she tried to stop it. She wasn't going to try much, except keep her conversation with Shawn going.
"Having fun?" she asked Shawn, her voice light and teasing.

Streak was having fun with this little group of girls that was around him. Streaks question to Janette went unanswered because her phone rang. It must have been important because she left to take it and he figured that it was probably work related. To be honest Shawn was glad that she had to take the phone call. He was never one for the super bold girl.
The silver eyed man tuned into Sarah's conversation just in time to hear the other one in red say her name. Shawn slid up closer to Sarah at this point and answered her "Ya I'm having fun. I'm Shawn by the way." He said the last part to Emily. He raised his glass to the other two and took another sip.
He could tell that Sarah was teasing him. The silvermancer just hoped that Sarah wasn't going to back off just because Janette was forcing herself in the middle. He certainly wasn't going to give up because of it. "She's just a little..eager." Shawn said sarcastically.
"Do you want another drink Sarah? Emily?" One of his good friends philosophies was, when in doubt give them alcohol. And he was just following his advice. Neither seemed to eager to drink but he was mainly trying to stay in their conversation.

Emily put the beer to her lips and pretended to drink. “Naw thanks. Aim still drinkin this one.” She had to agree with the two that Janette was a bit too eager. Emily never did understand some women’s obsessions with the opposite sex. But, Janette was her friend and she would do what she could to keep her happy. The woman felt her phone vibrate. It was a text message from Janette.
Ugh, I’m sorry but I have to run off. We’ll def go out another night. Try to get Shawn’s number for me. He’s a hottie with a boddie!! LOL TTYL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well this was just great. Now Emily was all alone at a club. At least her company seemed nice. She was so focused on her divide and conquer tactics that she hadn’t even bothered to get to know them. Shawn was a rather attractive man, she had to admit. If he had an attraction to dead women, she could have a chance with him herself. But there was no way, so she let that thought of whimsy pass.
Sarah also seemed like a really nice girl. Maybe she could have a friend outside of work. “Well it seems mai friend had some business elsewhea. Looks like it’s just us now.” She smiled at their little threesome. “So where ya’ll work? Aim an assistant at a funeral home.”
The brunette smiled at Shawn's reply to her question. Or the smile could have been brought on by his sudden proximity to her. Either way, it made her smile.
The other woman had been rather... eccentric. Though Sarah was almost reminded of the two friends that had forced her out in the first place.
>>"Do you want another drink Sarah? Emily?"
The brunette let Emily answer first. She was tempted to say yes, but she was sure it'd have alcohol and she was just starting to feel the effects of the shots from earlier wear off some.
"I'm good for now. I still have a bit left before I need another," she told Shawn as Emily answered her phone. Seemed to be a text message.
>>“Well it seems mai friend had some business elsewhea. Looks like it’s just us now.”
Sarah felt slightly angered at the blonde's friend. How could someone just leave a friend in a club with strangers? Okay, they weren't complete strangers, but the fact still stands. It upset the young woman.
>>“So where ya’ll work? Aim an assistant at a funeral home.”
Funeral home? That must have been interesting, or had an interesting story. "I'm trying to be an artist," she answered sheepishly. She felt a slight heat to her cheeks, but ignored it. She always blushed easily.

Both girls declined the offer for another drink. If he was with his friends he would have been accused of babysitting the drink. But he wasn't with his friends so he let the comment go. He supposed they were just light weights and didn't want to get super plastered tonight. He couldn't blame them...Getting Ghost faced was never really a good thing when you weren't with a group of your friends.
Shawn smiled when Emily announced that her friend, what was her name again? wasn't going to be returning. He was a little glad of that. She wasn't the person he was interested in anyways. The one he was interested in was right next to him. He paid attention to their comments as Emily asked what they do. A funeral home. Now that's surprising. He certainly wouldn't have pegged her as one of those to work around death. Sarah's job made more sense. "Well, you're in a good place for artists." Streak commented to Sarah.
His answer was a little more complicated. He couldn't simply tell them that he worked for the X-men and had traveled all over the world saving people. No but he could make his job seem pretty uninteresting. Finally he answered. "I'm the Head of Security at a special school. I also help the police with some of their investigations." It was partly true. But he couldn't afford to tell them everything. He knew little enough about them as it was and they weren't going to get things out of him from just drinking alcohol. It'd take more than that.
Streak wanted to avoid as many questions as possible so he turned to Emily and said, "So how did you get into the funeral home business? It doesn't seem like that's one of those jobs that, when you're a kid you're like, 'I wanna work around dead people when I grow up'." He took a sip of his drink and smiled at Sarah. He was really enjoying his time around her. She seemed like an interesting person. He'd known artists in the past and he knew that they were at the very least interesting people.

Emily smiled. These two people seemed interesting. She was glad she had been forced to run into them. An artist? “Aim from Nawlens. We love artists down thea. What’s yer poison? Paintin’, drawin’, sculptin’?”
Emily listened to Shawn’s answer. “Well that’s impressive! Yer a real Henry Fielding.” Henry was a man from the late 18th century, but it didn’t even cross her mind that they wouldn’t know who he was.
"So how did you get into the funeral home business? It doesn't seem like that's one of those jobs that, when you're a kid you're like, 'I wanna work around dead people when I grow up'."
Emily wasn’t sure how to answer the question. She could say that she had a connection to dead people and the mortician helped fix her up whenever she scarred herself. Or she could say that it was a family business. Shawn worked with the police. From her experience, they weren’t too keen on mutants. He also worked at a special school. Sounded like a private, preppy place to Emily. Snooty people didn’t seem to like mutants either, or anyone, for that matter. “Mai uncle runs tha place. Ai moved up hea to help him out at the funeral parlor.”
So it was a full-out lie. Emily hoped it wasn’t too see-through. She wasn’t the best at lying. She smiled, hoping that that at least looked genuine.
