MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. "I want that monkey." Valerie commented as the movie started. Laurent chuckled. Watching a movie was a good start; they did not have to talk, they could just sit comfortably together and laugh at the monkey.

She sighed and nodded, grateful that Jorge was there. He looked cheerful (for someone who had to take comments from Valerie), and he made her feel more at ease with the new family situation. He also knew Chase really well now, and he used to be one of those people Chase was shy around.

The DVD was slipped into the player, the three children of Gemma took a seat on the couch, and the movie commenced. Amongst them, conversation grew—at first, it oriented around the movie, but with gentle prodding from his siblings, Chase began to converse with them more openly, on an occasion.. Occasionally, they fell into silence, but they seemed to be enjoying the movie. Chase sat between Valerie and Laurent, his knees bunched up to his chest.

“Pssh, ruining my fun,” he grumbled jokingly as he was hugged.
He knew, though, that she had a point. There was no point in waging a war with Valerie, especially when she was so sweet when she first walked in. It would be nice for them to wipe the slate clean, especially since he was going to be even more in their lives than he was before. He would never replace their father ( which he doubted they would have wanted considering everything Gemma went through). But he hoped that the experience was not going to make them bitter to the idea of him being in their mother’s life now.
Arms wrapping around her, Jorge smirked as he kissed gently and sighed. He hoped that she was doing okay, especially after everything that was let out in the open today: impending marriage, the revelation of a new son, it was enough to make anyone want to lose their minds.
But Gemma was strong. He knew that she was going to be fine. But, maybe for now, it would be best to keep her busy. He gave her one more kiss before he stepped back to the food.
“Come on,” he said as he nodded to a row of rolls that needed to be placed onto a baking sheet. “Let them have fun watching the movie and get to know each other. We can finish all this up and then have dinner, as a family.” he beamed.
Family…wow…that was going to be hard to get used to.
