The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"I don't want a flock though," the teen insisted. Sure there was some part of him that was like other guys his age that pondered over having a following of girls. Such imaginations usually didn't last long. Locke hadn't been happy with his dad having more than one love in his life. In his mind there could only be one person that you said "I love you" to in a romance way.
"Gina, I can't handle one girl," he complained. Not only was it an intimidating thought to talk to KD, but he didn't want to deal with anyone else that might come along. KD was an exception, she had looked him in the face without any hesitation on his eye what-so-ever. No questions had been asked. Locke got the feeling that she might not have even seen it, which was stupid because there was no way that she couldn't. "How am I suppose to handle any others?"

Gina reclined as Locke whined about not wanting a flock of girls. If he couldn’t handle one, how would he handle many? It was a legitimate concern, but not one that Gina was expecting to hear from a guy who came asking her how to attract a girl.
“You did come to get relationship advice from me, right?” Gina clarified, smirking, “’cuz… if there are a few girls that are interested, I’d consider that a success… all you have to do is say “yes” to the girl that you like, and say “no” to the others, or at least “not now, can’t we be friends?” that way you leave your options open.”

There was to Locke a big difference between getting one girl's attention and drawing in a crowd. Eaan purposefully sought out the attentions of the opposite gender, and because of that he did have a few followers. Locke's dad, as much as Locke could remember at least, didn't want that focus on him. For Hugo there could only be one lady, at least it always seemed that way. Maybe Locke didn't know much about dating, but he knew that he wanted something more sturdy than his best friend's revolving door of dates. He admired Eaan's confidence, but his dad's commitment was what Locke wanted to be like. Being the quiet guy in the background worked for Locke. It gave him the chance to quietly reflect.
"Alright, let's say I'm..." Locke trailed off, trying to figure out a plausible situation, "Let's say I'm suffering an aneurysm and actually manage to talk to her. Because, let's face it, with a healthy mind that isn't going to happen with me. How am I even going to ask her out?" Locke was clearly uncomfortable with just asking about it. He hated, absolutely hated, any uncertainty, and this was a brand new ballgame. His shirt sleeves didn't seem to be long enough, because Locke kept tugging them farther over his wrists. One foot kept stepping on the insole of the other. "You can't just ask the cashier out. There's a little thing called harassment. I kind of have to go into the book store every now and then."
Gina's play acting didn't address that issue. What if KD found him weird for asking her for a cup of coffee. After all he was just one of what had to be hundreds, no thousands of people who went into Barnes and Noble any day of the week. He would probably come off as some sort of deviant or psychopath if he just out and asked her. "And how do I know if she's not already dating someone?" he held up a finger to hold off Gina before she could answer that, "And don't say just ask her. I don't want to look creepy, and that just screams 'Stay away from dark corners around me!'"

Gina listened as Locke spoke, chuckling at his reference to having an aneurysm, but didn’t interject.
“You have to build rapport with her,” Gina said simply, “Of course it’s gonna be really weird if it’s like, your first time talking to her, and you’re asking her out. She has to get to know you first, which is why you need to frequent the bookstore and become her friend first. Then when it is at a “not awkward to ask her out” stage, then you can ask her out.”
Ginas’ answers were overly-simple, but she was doing her best to help.
“You don’t have to just ask her, either,” Gina explained, “If you ask her on a date, and if she’s a good girl who already has a boyfriend, she’ll tell you and politely decline. No harm, no foul.”
