The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Kaz couldn't help but laugh at the exchange or words. Even if he couldn't hear both sides. He could guess what Vibe was saying. "Must'a been a bit odd at school. And hard in the romace world, unless you did a lot of double dates." Kaz dropped another dagger into his hand, and began to twirl it, weaving it between his fingers absently. "Where were you two headed, noticed you didn't seem to enjoy the club much."

As one the twins rolled their eyes.
>"Ugh! Don't mention school."< They spoke in unison, though only one was heard. When Kaz mentioned the double dates, they exchanged a mischievious look. Vibe walked over to the man lying on the sidewalk, and began going through his pockets.
>Should we even go there?<
Amp merely shook her head. She shrugged at his next question.
"The club was boring. Mostly."
>Pay dirt.< Vibe grinned and held up a plastic card with the man's picture on it, attached to a neckchain. >Looks like Davis Stillman was a security guard at Macy's.<
"Nice." Amp walked over and took the keycard. "Looks like an after-hours shopping spree is in order." They shared a 'high-five'. Amp glanced at Kaz. "Unless you have another suggestion?"

Kaz watched the exchange. "Looks that ones a sensitive subject and one has one, if not more fun stories to it." Kaz moved to get a better look at what Vibe was doing. "Hmm, I see we have that in common. Nothing wrong with a bit of pilfering. Though I normally like them to be alive, its more fun to see their expressions afterwards." He grinned with a bit of a chuckle. Shrugging, "Nope, sounds interesting. Just don't ask me to carry your bags." He winked to the twins and smiled. "I'll drive." Kaz walked over to a Honda Civic LX, midnight blue in color, one of the few cars to survive the twins' shockwave. Reaching under the car, and the wheel well, he found the spare key box. Pulling the key out, he unlocked the doors. Getting in he started the car.

"Works for us." It looked like the day, or rather night, was going to be fun after all.
>I call shotgun!< But Amp hopped into the front seat first and stuck her tongue out. Vibe returned the gesture as she slid into the back.
Traffic was backed up in the opposite direction, for obvious reason. Of course, New York's traffic was awful anyway, and even though it was well after midnight, the streets were clogged with cars. Amp grinned slyly. "So Kaz, how good are your reflexes?" Her eyes practically glowed with mischief.

Kaz looked at Amp suspiciously. <Oh what the hell is she..> Before he could finish that thought, a car suddenly flipped in front of him. Quicker than anyone would have thought, Kaz cranked the wheel to the right, while shifting. <Thank god this is Honda.> He almost slowed down, until he saw he went into oncoming traffic. The car lurched back into the correct lane, only to miss a spinout, which collided with another car. "Are you two doing this? Or did everyone just go crazy!" Though his words may not have seemed like it, Kaz had a large smile on his face.
Weaving between the cars, the ones that drove unhindered an the ones flying in random directions, more from the second catigory than the first. Up ahead, two cars drove side by side though taking up more room than was needed, blocking any route through, though the parking lane was slim and empty. Kaz drove up to the corner, and sped up, pressing the gas to the floor. As the wheel jumped the curb, Kaz cranked the wheeles toward then suddenly agianst the curb, with the extra exceleration, the car tipped onto two wheels. He knew the car couldn't handle it for too long, especially at this high of speed. When he looked out his side window, he was looking at the passenger of the car next to him, staring at him with wide eyed fear and surprise. Kaz turned the wheel ever so slightly, stearing the car to the middle of the road, then to the left, before twisting the wheel, so the car began to fall on all fours again. Instead of landing on the road, the rear wheel landed on a car, crushing the hood, which slammed it into the pavement, creating a 'ramp' to let the Honda drive safely back onto the road. "Well, that was interesting." Smirking as he spoke.
Vibe began snapping her fingers again. Moments later the road became an obstacle course. Amp was laughing and squealing like a kid on a Six Flags rollercoaster as Kaz weaved the car around erratically. Had she been able to, Vibe would have joined her. But her face showed her joy as she hung onto the back of Kaz's seat.
>Hey! You missed one sis!< She pointed as they passed a minivan on one side.
"No worries, there's plenty more!" When the car flipped up on two wheels, Amp stuck her head out the window, laughing the whole time. As they passed the curb she aimed a sound blast outward, shattering the windows of the buildings they passed. "Oops. My bad," she giggled.
Inside the car Vibe watched as they passed someone, still on two wheels. She smiled sweetly and gave the startled people a beauty queen wave as they passed.
Amp pulled back inside as the car settled back on the pavement. She held her hand back for her sister to hit.

The girls were extatic, at least thats how it seemed to him. "Nice driving." "Thanks. Though, I would'a done better on foot. Cars can only do so much." Kaz drove on, the rest of the drive was uneventful compared to when they girls had their fun. Pulling up to the rear door, cranked the wheel and Kaz pulled the break. The car spun in a wide half arc before coming to rest near perfectly in a parking space near the door. Getting out of the car, he got to the passenger doors, opening each of them, "After you ladies."
>"Why thank you."< The pair stepped gracefully from the car and walked up to the service door. Amp peered carefully at the door, before swiping the keycard.
"Hey Vibe, call Echo, would ya? We may need him later." Vibe nodded.
>He probably followed us anyway. Lot's to eat along the way.< She turned slightly, and held one hand up toward the sky for a brief moment, before following her sister into the store.
The pair lead the way quietly through the offices, with Amp softening their footsteps as they went. They came across one guard, but a concentrated squeal left him unconscious before he even saw them. Vibe nudged her sister and pointed.
>Cameras<
Amp snapped her fingers. Not only did all of the camera lenses shatter, but so did all of the computer and TV monitors in the area. Satisfied with their work, the pair separated and began raiding the racks. Vibe made a beeline for the jewelry racks, while Amp headed for the belts and jeans.
>Looks like the summer line is out,< Vibe remarked as she passed the swimsuits.
"You already have three bikinis."
>So? I can always used another or two.<
"Whatever. Grab me one too. Black and gold, the ones with the shorts bottoms."
>'kay. What carat hoops you want?<
"Twenty-four, none of the cheap stuff. Any omegas?"
>Yep. Got 'em.<
The pair systematically made their way through the whole store, eventually acquiring enough merchandise to stock their own store.
Suddenly Amp paused and turned her head slightly. A tiny shadow swooped overhead. "Incoming," she stated as the shadow dived directly at Vibe.

Kaz watched the girls ransack the stores. He couldn't help but laugh. They were like kids in a candy store, but a really expensive candy store. Watching helpless as Amp destroyed the tv's and crt computer screens. "Did you have to break those too?" He pointed to the destroyed electronics. Sighing he shook his head. "What is an Omega?" He was totally lost.
When they were occupied Kaz slipped outside. He saw the cameras overlooking the lot, which he had no trouble breaking by either hitting them with a dagger, or simply jumping up and ripping them off. Once he cleared the area, he found what he was looking for: A very wide, long van. Jumping in, he ripped the ignition out, and hotwired it. He drove into the delivery doors, and then onto the show room floor. He lost track of the girls. Though he figured he could get their attention. Walking up to one of the support pillars, he hit it rythmicly, sending shockwaves, allong the floor, beam, and ceiling. He called out then, to Vibe of corse, "If you'd like, I got us a delivery truck, come and put your stuff in it."
Walking off after he opened the back, he went after the electronics. Grabbing the speakers, amps, sterios, LCD monitors, and computers, setting them on six-wheel carts, bringing the stuff to the van. Sliding it to the back. After he went to the jewelery stores. What the girls hadn't grabbed he did, it didn't matter to him what it was, it would fetch a good price, of corse he'd look at it later and keep what he liked. He used the boxes that were stuffed under the counters and in the back of the store to contain the stuff. Next stop, the leather outfiters. There wasn't much left when Kaz was finished grabbing the jackets, trench coats, shirts, pants, bags, gloves, hats and other accessories. He made more trips than the girls could ever hope to. Though he didn't just take men's stuff, but woman's stuff as well. Equal opportunity theif. He did the same to the fancy clothes stores, tuxes, suits, dresses, silks, swade, you name it, he grabbed it. Calogne, earings, studs, shirts, pants, shoes, boots, jackets, shorts, dresses, skirts, tank tops, tees, heels, sandles, slippers; these things were all dissapearing at alarming rates from the normal department stores. When he made his last trip, it seemed like a tornado had gone through the place, taking everything it wanted. He got on top of the van, near the back, looking out and around for the girls.

>Hiya Fuzzball.< Vibe reached up to gently untangle the little brown bat from her hair, then set him on her shoulder. From there he crawled into the pocket of her vest, making some oddly bird-like squeaks. >Did we interrupt your dinner?< Neither twin thought, nor cared if others thought, that having a pet bat was weird. Since when did they care about being 'normal'?
They paused as a set of vibrations reached them. Vibe relayed what Kaz had called out. Amp nodded and smirked. “Nice. Nothing like doorstep delivery.” The pair made their way to the van and set their haul down, noting it was already half stocked with electronics, before returning to their ‘shopping’.
Eventually they decided they had all they wanted and made their way back. Vibe rolled her eyes when she saw the type of clothes her sister had aquired.
>Honestly, Amp. Would it kill you to have at least one dress in your wardrobe?<
“Why bother? You have enough to borrow from if I ever need it. Besides, you can’t have any fun in a dress.” Vibe gave her sister an ‘Oh really’ look. Amp sighed. “Again, your version of fun is twisted.” She handed the rest of their merchandise to Kaz, remarking, “And we thought we knew how to shop. Hope you have a slammin’ fence.”
As they prepared to leave, Vibe pulled the keycard out of her pocket, and a pack of Lifesavers. She popped one into her mouth, gave one too her sister, then offered them to Kaz. She pulled the little bat out of her other pocket, rubbing the top of his head gently. Then she tossed him in the air, and held up the keycard. He circled a time or two, then soared down and snatched up the chain. Vibe pointed to one of the busted security cameras high on the wall, and he obediently deposited the card there, before swooping out the door and into the night. Amp yawned and stretched, as she surveyed the night's work.
“Whoever said shopping isn’t a sport obviously never did it right.”

Kaz caught Amp's comment about dresses, and smirked. "Oh, I'd beg to differ, dresses and skirts can bequite fun." Kaz winked at Vibe. After helping the girls get their stuff into the van, Kaz got into the driver's seat, accepting the lifesaver Vibe offered him. . Since it only had the front seat, the three of them had to squeeze in, Amp next to him, and Vibe next to the passenger door. Because of where the stick was, Amp would have to put one leg on either side so Kaz could drive. "Sorry bout this, older vans aren't quite made for three people." As Kaz began to drive out of the building, "So, you girls have a place to store this stuff? If not, I know a place we can put it, at least temporarily." He began driving to his warehouse.

"Oh, I'd beg to differ, dresses and skirts can be quite fun."
Amp rolled her eyes. "Men." She slid into the seat beside him, seeing the seating as yet another reason to choose slacks and not a skirt.
"So, you girls have a place to store this stuff? If not, I know a place we can put it, at least temporarily."
Instantly the twins became suspicious, though not necessarily because of Kaz’s question. They’d grown up not trusting anyone other than each other, especially those inquired about their personal lives. They shared a sideways glance.
>Should we trust him?< Even without telepathy, Vibe could tell what her sister was thinking, and she agreed. >Let’s see what his storage is like. Who knows? Maybe we can do a bit more shopping later. If things don’t work out, that is.<
“Actually, storage is a bit of a problem right now,” Amp replied aloud to his question. “Our place is a bit too messy for company at the moment.”
The pair smiled sweetly. No need for him to know that their ‘place’ was an abandoned apartment in the rougher side of town. Even the residents of a nearby, newly-built set of condos didn’t know they were there. Had the residents actually been paying attention to their water and electric bills, they would have thought it was a bit high for a pair of empty-nesters who worked twelve hours a day.

"Thought it might be." Kaz caught the looks on their faces, they were suspicious of him. <Maybe they think I'm going to do something to them, take advantage of them somehow.> Inwardly Kaz rolled his eyes, though he didn't show it on the outside. "Luckly the warehouse is hardly ever used, so it's clean, and has plenty of space." Driving for a short time with no words being said, Kaz decided to speak. "Sorry if I pried into your personal lives a bit." Kaz saw the entrance to the warehouse and drove up to it, backing up.

Amp hadn't been watching, so there was a pause as Vibe translated. Amp shrugged and smiled innocently. "The thought never crossed our minds," she lied. Vibe shook her head in agreement. "So this is the place?"
