The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Fade made her way down the street, completely visible, with her bloody knuckles shoved into her pocket. Now then, where was she going to find somewhere that had...gotcha! A liquor store, right down the street, she could see the signs, and it was open. After taking a few more steps, suddenly, she became invisible again. She walked into the store, going in when someone else opened the door so it wouldn't look odd. Her eyes rested on her first victim, absolute vodka. Her hand grasped it tightly before it too became invisible and she shoved the invisible bottle into her invisible hoodie. Next, there was a 6 pack of beer, that too suddenly disappeared from the shelf. She then grabbed 2 bottles of water since she knew that she would need a chaser. Now she had all she needed, she could steal more later, and she opened up the door herself and walked out. The cashier looked at the door funny and looked around the shop, quite confused.
Now the easy part was done. She turned visible and pulled out the vodka before letting it slide down her throat. She choked and had to pull the drink away from her lips. It was hard to breathe, she couldn't breathe, she just choked on the taste, but she had her water and she took a big gulp, the taste was gone. However, she didn't want another sip, so she began to walk, the bottle hanging from her fingers and blood from her knuckles running down the side of the bottle.
Finally, the warm sensation filled her chest and stomach and she felt good, she must have taken 2 shots worth in that gulp and little did she know, but she was a lightweight, a very big lightweight. So she pulled out the beer, maybe that would taste better. It did, and she drank the whole thing and started on another and another until she had 4 shots of vodka and 3 beers. Uncordinatedly, she stumbled to the ground and began to laugh, it was a funny feeling, the ground was moving and she wasn't. So she got back up to her feet and continued what she was doing, falling.
Never-the-less, she continued, completely wasted, to make her way down the street until she couldn't walk anymore and sat down by an alley way to have another beer. She was going to puke soon, but not yet, not ALL of the alcohol had hit her yet and she still had about 10 more minutes to go before she's puke then pass out.
Her lips opened and she called out "JAGUAR!! JAGAR! GAGJUAR! GARMOEL! GOSHEMALDS!" She couldn't talk! Her words were slurred and she continued to call out his name, getting further and further away from the actual punctuation.
Her gaze moved up at the girl that she recognized from the mansion. "Whello...garl. Ias jus walwing down hiss reet and i-i-i thogh i coud run. but-but-but rohnning idn't that fuhn. Soyu wanna walh?" She mumbled, trying to make sense, but she wouldn't have been suprised if she didn't. "i surring? my waords? I am naugh drunk...i pwomist." She tried to stand up, but that attempt failed and she fell again. However, Jaguar's...if you could make sense out of what it sounded like...name flowed from her drunken lips again as she shouted out for him, with no reply.
"aight, thehn weshod start...rihtno." She mumbled before attempting to stand again, but then she realized that the girl's arm was around her. So, she stayed put, waiting for a reply, patiently, but time went by quickly because time to her was completely distorted due to her condition
"Uh...we are not going to walk." Riruki said pulling out a cell phone. she called a cab-a cab service her father co owned-and a sleek black car pulled up on to the street. The driver put Riruki's bags into the trunk.
"Come along. It is not far to the car." she said helping Fade up.
She smiled as the car pulled up and tried to stand again, but she stumbled again. Her hand flew out in front of her and she grabbed the wall next to her with a firm grip, her knuckles had stopped bleeding but they still looked terrible. "Ican magit to tha cahr." She said as she took another step. "Noicahnt." She mumbled before she dropped to her knees and opened her mouth before...well...we don't need to go into details...but I bet you can guess what happened, puke. It burned, but when she had finished her first one, quietly, the words "I'm sohrrieee." escaped her gross lips.
Riruki grimaced. Het aristocratic background made her cringe at such sights yet the good in her refused to pay it much attention. She couldn't lift Fade but the driver could and laid the girl in the back seat, resting her head on Riruki's lap. The car began to dive off.
Fade closed her eyes while she was being placed in the car. "Iam so sorie." These drunken words kept repeating from her mouth until there was silence, all was quiet except for the sound of the engine running. Came to be that she had passed out cold, her breathing slowed as she slept on Riruki's lap.
Riruki then busied herself with cleaning the girl up using packaged moist towelettes.
She was slightly worried. She wasn't close to anyone in the school besides Desiree and they hadn't hung out alot. But having to attend the funeral of her one and only close friend, she knew well the pain that Fade felt.
Soon they pulled up to the mansion grounds, Riruki poked the girl to se if she would wake. If not she would have the dirver put fade in her room.
Fade's eye jerked up and she sat up, only to find the large uncomfortable feeling in her stomach and she leaned forward again and fell out of the car before puking again. "Iam sohy. Ikain cleannnit uhp." she said as she pulled back her hair. This was terrible, but she still felt good, well, except for the stinging feeling in her mouth and nose. Slowly and with care, she got to her feet and took two steps before she stumbled again and fell to the ground. Laughter was all that could be heard from the poor girl. "Manisodruhnk!" she chuckled before she began to crawl to the door. "Comeohinae!" she shouted back to Riruki, trying to get her to follow.
Riruki rushed to help the girl jumping out of the car. She told the driver to grab her shopping bags as she tried to point Fade in the right direction.
"I'm right here, Fade. Please do not throw up again." the goth girl said with a slight accent.
Fade put her arm around Riruki and leaned on her slightly for balance, well, at least to Fade, it was just a slight lean, it was probably more pressure than she thought. What a weird day, she looked up, using much of her strength to do so and she saw her window, it was broken and still had a her blood on it. "Wait! Wheher aur whe?" She asked when she remembered the alley and not that much more.
"We're back at the mansion....the renovations from the fight are not yet done, I suppose." Riruki said. She'd been at the museum and didn't know much about it.
"Yahe. I juhst dohn'te member howigot ouht hur." She panted, still tired and she was still stumbling along. "Dihdi puhka?" She asked, feeling the burning in her nose and throat.
