The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Arthur Cameron Miller stared intently at a street sign a few feet above his head. The words “Time Square” were printed in nice, bold letters for all to see. He raised a hand in the air, scrutinizing a wet, crumpled piece of paper. Cameron shifted his gaze from the sign to the fading handwriting, and sighed heavily. He threw the piece of paper in a nearby waste basket, and walked down the sidewalk, sweat beading on his forehead. ‘Yup, I’m lost.’ Cameron gazed at the tall buildings encircling him, trying to garner some sense of location, but failed miserably. He shook his head sadly, and continued to trudge down the streets. ‘Maybe I should ask someone directions. Would they think it was strange? I’d rather not get into any trouble if I can avoid it.’ Wet clothes and sandals squelched as he walked, the results of a little accident with a car Cameron had earlier. Cautiously peering around to make sure no one was looking at him, he concentrated on the water soaking his body. The moisture collected in his hands, and he let a ball of water drop to the pavement, sizzling. Cameron’s outfit was dry once more. His eyes examined the various people within New York Time Square, and he secretly wondered if any of them were mutants. ‘The professor had said that there were many people like me, who just kept their abilities hidden out of fear. I can relate, it’s kind of tough sometimes.’ Cameron’s thoughts wandered back to the swimmer at the lake, and his blatant hatred. ‘Hopefully the Institute is nice. I better get back to searching for it.’ He continued walking, looking around, and giving the overall impression of a lost tourist in need of a guide.

Ryudo's cab pulled up in Times Square and Ryudo handed the cabbie $25. "arigato," he muttered as he stepped from the cab and looked around.
Ryudo decided that he wanted a soda and so walked towards the corner store near Talon's apartment. As he made his way over there he bumped into a lost looking tourist. The tourist had shaggy dirty blonde hair with what appeared to be truly sun bleached highlights. Ryudo reached up and ran a hand through his own black hair with electric blue tips and then extended his hand to help the man up. " Sorry about that. Was just heading over to buy a soda before i pick up my car and head back to the institute. Is there something i can help you find?"

Cameron took the offered hand, and stood up, dusting himself off. His eyes picked out the blue highlights with mild curiosity, and his face broke into a warm smile. "Oops, guess I should have paid more attention to where I was going. Admittedly, I am a tad bit lost. Name's Arthur, but my friends call me Cam." Cameron extended a hand in greeting before his thoughts began to register what the man had said. "Wait...the institute...as in Xavier's Institute?"

"That would be the one," Ryudo said as he took in the tourist in front of him. The man seemed to be from the west coast. Probably So Cal if Ryudo had to put a place on him. "I just enrolled there myself. Had to come back into town to pick up some of my stuff i wasn't able to fit into my car. wait here and i'll give you a ride."
As ryudo said that he decided against getting a drink and turned and walked down the street to his friend Talon's apartment. He buzzed up and waited a few seconds before Talon responded.
"Who is it?"
"Me you goofball. I need my keys then i can get out of your hair," Ryudo said. He could here the sounds of people partying inside his friends apartment.
"Aight man, I'll be right down." With that the intercom went silent and Ryudo waited for a few minutes while talon made his way downstairs. Talon finally opened the door and tosses Ryudo a pair of keys bearing the subaru logo. "She's loaded up, Fueled up, and Tuned up. By the way the new paint job is banging. Nice choice. Don't be a stranger now that you are going to this Insitute," Talon said as he gave Ryudo a hug.
"I won't. I'll try to make it up here for a couple raves every now and then. Definitely try to make it back for some of the bigger drift events too," Ryudo said as the broke apart. He walked over to the Subaru and inspexted the new paint job. Talon was right, the iridescent black had been a good choice and the blue that had been underlayed was excellent. IN just the right light the car appeared to be electric blue with black flames running from the hood to the rear wheel instead of the other way around. The Baja had also gotten a set of KC's behind the passenger area and a rally cluster mounted on the nose. Ryudo gave a small satisfied nod at his car as he unlocked it and hoped in. A note was on the dash, 'I packed everything in the bed with extra padding in case you felt like a little drift on the ride back. Enjoy her, T.'
Ryudo smiled as he turned the key in the ignition and the baja roared to life. The sound system had been left on and the subwoofers almost immeadiatly began thumping. He put her in reverse and backed out into the street and then went to find Cam.
Ten minutes later, Ryudo pulled up to sidewalk in front of cam and rolled down the passenger window. "Need a lift?"

Cameron nodded in silent consent, and leaned against a nearby street light. He waited for a couple of minutes, quietly wondering what the school was like. His silence was broken by a thumping sound system as a shiny car pulled up next to him. Cameron gawked as his fellow student rolled down the window. He didn't know much about vehicles, but it was obvious that this one was expensive, and seemed built for speed. "Nice car." Cameron said as he got into the passenger side. He buckled his seatbelt, and turned towards the man with the blue tips. "I don't think I caught your name."

"Ahh kne i forgot something. My name is Toshida Ryudo," Ryudo gave in the normal japanese form. He was gunna have to try to curb that. "I mean my name is Ryudo, but you can call me Rave. Either one works for me. You might want to use that, Ryudo said as he pointed to the "oh shit" bar above the passenger window. With that he gave the car some gas and the Baja zipped away from the curb and was soon lost in the traffic of new york city.
