The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Naveed was oblivious that at the opposite end of the park his sister was enduring park cleanup. Instead he was waiting under a familiar tree... their tree. He paced back and forth and then leaned against it. He hadnt seen Sapphire in a few weeks. There had been a lot of commotion since then and he wondered how the dingo was doing. He'd left a message at the hotel for her should she ever go back and visit it looking for him... and today was planning to meet her.
He was nervous. Could she have been caught with the others? Maybe shot like the memmbers of the resistance? He had no way of knowing....
Sapphire had been...busy for the past few weeks doing other things. She had been observing and avoiding all contact with Kabal/resitance. At that point all she cared about was finding her sisters and the Resitance was only training to fight they werent doing a damn thing. However, this was just her opinion of the situation.
Sapphire was walking in the park, Wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and black jeans that kept her somewhat warm. But for some reason today she felt extremly cold, her face looking paler than usual.
When she saw Naveed her face lite up slightly. She walked over to him, trying to shake the dizzying feeling that was comming over her.
ooc: I like my avvi no resize. my Raina one is big
ic: Naveed look up. "Sapphire!" he said with a bit of relief. He was glad to see her. He looked her up and down. "You look pale..." he observed. "How have you been?" he asked.
Sapphire smiled grimly at him looking at him slowly before walking closer to him. She hadn't been feeling well for the past few days and the dingo woman had been wondering if that meant she was getting sick.
"I have been feeling under the weather as of late. It is no big deal." Sapphire responded, walking next to him. "It's proably the weather thats doing this to me."
Sapphire's face was clover in a thin layer of sweat and her body radiated heat and yet she still clung to her jacket.
Naveed gave her a skeptical look and reached forward and touched her face. "You're burning up." he cautioned. "How long have you been feeling this way? he watched how she held on to her jacket- it was defentantly a fever. He took his own outer layer off and draped it around her. "Come on." he said putting a hand lightly on her shoulder. "We're getting you something to eat and having a chat" The act reminded him a bit of being with Raina. He felt useful the way a big brother should. Looking down at the young woman he felt ashamed he hadn't paid closer attention. He was so obsessed right now with the resistance and finding Raina. It was important. He came here to find Raina, and yet it was taking so long.
Sapphire tensed immediately when Naveed touched her face, she was going to swat it away when he took it off her face. She listened to him and let out a soft sigh of irritation. She didn't like to admit it and she didn't want to admit it but she was getting sick.
She pulled his jacket closer to her body, reveling in its warmth.
"Our sisters aren't in good condition right now Naveed. We need to not worry about ourselves and more about them." She stated grogglily.
Naveed wasn't taking no for an answer. "Sapphire..." he started "You can't help your sisters if you're sick. Don't you want to be in top condition to kick some human ass? Come on, where's that fiery girl I know." he pushed her hair back and felt her forhead again. "Still burning up." he led her to a cafe. "Sit down, I'm getting you something to drink." he went to a vending machine and came back with some water. "You need fluids." he passed it to her opened. "by the way, I got in contact with someone from the resistance who has been helpful for once. We might be able to use my abilities to get in and out of the camps." he said casually.
Sapphire growled weakly at him, tail making an appearance and briefly lashing back and forth. She sat down at the table, rubbing her temples gently. She took the water and began drinking it slowly, almost as if savouring the drink. When she was done she glanced at Naveed.
"The resistance is actually doing something? Pfft, They weren't doing anything for so long I have been doing things on my own and I have probably accomplished more than they have," Sapphire responded scronfully. "We need to get our families out now, we shouldnt have to wait untill they say okay."
Naveed nodded. "I agree." he leaned back in his chair and sighed. "I don't have much confidence in the resistance either... but I can't help Raina if I end up locked up in the camps either..." he thought a moment. "But I met this guy.." he said putting his hands behind his head relaxing for a moment while talking. "He seems to really got things put together... I'm feeing much better about the whole thing... Raina's a survivor we're of the same blood." He flexed a muscle. "We're strong." he smiled at her.
"Do you have any other family Sapphire other than your sisters? Maybe you should be staying with them..."
Sapphire sighed, rubbing her temples as she glanced over at Naveed. She did Chuckle lightly when Naveed flexed his musscle, figuring that was the way he showed his manliness to her.
"No mom and dad went into hiding weeks ago. I really have no one to stay with." Sapphire responded.
"Well we better stick together" he admitted. "I don't like the idea of you wandering about in your state. It would be too easy for you to bump into a stalker or an idiot police." he grumbled. Once sh was finishd the water two bowls of soup were set infront of them. "Chicken noodle" he smiled. "Hope you arent a vegan or something." he began to slurp his noodles looking like an oversized kid at lunch time. One flicked up and hit his nose. He started belly laughing in that booming giant laughter voice.
Sapphire was about to protest when they recieved the chicken soup. She started to gently sip the warm broth allowing it to trickle down her throat. It had felt so good on her hoarse throat that she drank it down rather eagerilly. She smiled lightly at Naveed, tugging the jacket closer to her body.
He smiled. "I know." he turned his head. "It's a fashion statement!" he laughed. He slurped down his food and patiently waited for her to finish. The whole time he watched her and wondered how she'd been making it this far alone without her family. Naveed was used to being alone, he preferred it that way. But even he when he was sick enjoyed the company of someone else. "How you feeling now?"
