The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tristan saw central park coming into veiw. 'This is gunna be good' he thought 'Just like back home.' The car hit the curb and launched into the air. They broke through the fence and drove into the park. "Damn!" Tristan yelled. "That better not have left a scratch." He looked behind him and saw the police driving through the gap t hey left in the fence. He looked up at Ted. "Here comes the fun part."

"I wanted to see what this baby could do. I suppose now I'll find out!" He grinned at Tristan over the roar of the engine, and lucrched as the car left the ground. "That's why I wear a seatbelt. Fun? Oh it better be!" Ted grinned at Tristan again, as he turned to watch the police cars. "I doubt any of them are going to be expecially good drivers. Minute they see a donut place, we're in the clear," Ted joked, "Now, let's see what you're made of!"
Tristan weaved in and out of trees but the cops didn't seem to be hitting anything today. He was still going over a hundred miles an hour weaving through trees. Suddenlt Tristan got an idea. He went to manuvered the car into a row of tree's so that they had to move right behind him. He grabbed the steering wheel with his right hand and pulled of the golve his left with his teeth. "Pray to the Goddess that this works." He popped open his door and leaned out taking car not to hit a tree. Transforming his fist into it's rock form . He reached out and let his hand drag along the ground peices of it were flying everywhere. A large wall of rock jumpped up from the ground right behind them clipping the spoiler. "Dam!" Tristan yelled. But the wall worked, a patrol car slammed into it making it crumble. Another car hit the rear end and went flying over the treeline and guessing by the amount of branches and leaves that fell out it landed in the tree. Tristan leaned back inside the car and slammed the door closed. There we're still several cruisers following them. "Dam, they must have called for back up."

Ted wondered what Tristan was doing as he lent out of the car and formed a rock fist. Then the wall sprang up. "Hot damn! That ought to slow them up for a bit. How many times do you reckon you can do that before they decide to give us some distance?" A thought struck Ted. "Wait, now they know we're mutants, they're going to send more after us. We need to lose them, and soon. Because regardless of how good a driver you are, you will run out of room eventually. Or petrol." Ted knew this couldn't go on forever; eventually, Tristan was going to make a mistake. Ted saw a cop burst out of the treeline and point his gun at the car. Ted undid his seatbelt, and with lighting speed managed to lean out of the window and grab the gun by the barrel. No cop was as strong as Ted, and the cop was left unarmed. Ted grinned as he showed the gun to Tristan, "Let's see how many want to get close after I pop a few of their tires." Ted had never fired a gun before, but he had seen enough movies. Point, click, bang, cool explosion. Nothing to it. Except aiming when moving at a hundred miles an hour. Ted leaned out of the car, and fired a couple of shots at the front running police cars. The first shot went wide, but the second shattered a windscreen. The car span out of control, the driver either hit or very spooked, and another car ran straight into it. "Nice." Ted checked the chamber; only four more bullets left. Going to have to make them count.
Tristan looked behind them as the two cars. Crashed he kept drivin through trees until three more cruisers came. He looked over to Ted. "I hate it when you right." he looked around and saw the lake with a large bridge. He turned towards it and started to ease off the gas. "Ted you see this." He pointed at the emergancy break. "I need you to take the wheel but don't hit the gas ok," '100...90...80...' "and when you get over the bridge pull it hard and hold on for dear life." '70...60...50...'

Ted nodded. "Yeah, I know a hand brake when I see one." Ted nodded at Tristan's instructions. "Kay, but what are you going to do?" Ted took hold of the wheel and tried to keep the car going in the right direction. It wasn't too hard when it was the only thing he had to worry about. That and the gunshots whizzing by every now and then.
Tristan was crouched in the passebger seat. "Just make sure you don't wreck my car." Tristan pulled off his gloves and boot throwing them in the back seat. He removed his jacket. "If any of them pass keep going understand." Tristan opened the door as they passed hit the bridge the police had started to slow down. they probally thought that they were slowing down. '50..40...30..." The front tire hit the dirt and Tristan jumpped out of the car hitting the ground hard. He heard a loud sickening crack when he hit the ground. A sharp pain shot up his spine. He heard the sirens getting closer. "Gotta...hurry" Tristan fought the pain and stood up. He dug his feet into the ground. The patrol cars were aproaching the bridge. Tristan reached out with his hands and made an upward pushing motion. Two stone pillars jumpped up through the water under the bridge breaking the support pillars. "Dam...missed." Tristan fell to the ground controling his powers like that and breaking a clouple ribs was two much for him. The Patrol cars reached the bridge and began to cross it when the support pillars gave way and the bridge collapsed under then sending them plumiting to the ground. Tristan looked towards the lake as the bridge collapsed. He cracked a grin. 'i thought i missed i was tring to send a pillar through the whole bridge.' Tristan's vison went black and he slipped out of conciousness.
Ted yanked on the hand brake as Tristan went down. He turned the steering wheel at the same time, and got a nice view of the bridge collapsing. "Time we weren't here." He pulled the car up to Tristan, and after a quick check to see if he had any back injuries, lifted him and strapped him into the passenger seat. "I think I should probably drive us back. If I remember where back is." He got into the driver's seat, and wasted no time leaving Central Park. It wouldn't take long for the police to go around the bridge, and they wanted to be as far away as possible when they did. He was soon clear of Central Park, and though it took him an hour, he found a hospital. He lifted Tristan out and took him in. It wasn't long before he was admitted, and they soon had Tristan patched up, though he was going to be a little sore for a while.
Tristan heard a faint beeping, it seemed to tear at his mind painfully. He slowly opened his eyes and was temporarily blinded by the amount of white everywhere. He looked around and saw people rushing around and someone in a white lab coat. Suddenly his mind became more clear. 'A hopsital.' He went to stand up but was anchored down by a sharp pain in his side. He looked around. "Where'd Ted go."
Ted had been waiting impatiently for Tristan to recover. He didn't want to be there any longer than necessary, because the police might still be looking for them. When Tristan woke up, Ted rushed into the room. "Dude, you alright? What were you thinking? You could have seriously hurt yourself, and what if it didn't work?" Ted turned to the doctor. "How long until we can go?" The doctor replied, "Well, he'll have to stay here a little longer, but we should be able to release him in an hour or so." "Kay, thanks."
Tristan sat and waited for the doctor to leave the room. "I say we leave know i don't like the idea of being in the open." He sat up at the edge of his bed. Looking around for his clothes. "And it's not like we had many options if we didn't get them off our scent then we'd have the whold NYPD on us. How's the car."

Ted sighed. "Yeah, we should get out of here. Your clothes are in the drawer." Ted scrtached the back of his head. "Ah, the car. Well, it's a little damaged." Ted decided to not delve into the details; the spoiler that had almost come off completly, the horrendous scratches in the paint, and other such damage. Fortunatly, it was still drivable. Mostly. "Let's just get back to the garage and worry about it when we get there."
Tristan opened the drawer and grabbed his clothes "Agreed he said to Ted before walking behing a curtain and as quickly as he could bearing injury dressed. "We have to make sure that we don't get stopped by a doctor or something." He glanced down to his ribs. "Though that may be a problem. YOu know they way out of here right."

"Sure, just walk like you own the place. As long as you look like you know what you're doing, noone will question you." Ted had no idea if it would work, but it was worth a shot. The two of them headed for the entrance, but Ted spotted their doctor. He quickly pushed Tristan out of the door and grinned at the doctor. "Hi, I'm headed home, I hope my friends gets better." Ted quickly headed out of the door, keeping himself between the doctor and Tristan. They got to the car, "You want to drive, or are you not up to it?"
Tristan chuckled, "It'll take more then a few cracked ribs to stop me. I'll just take it easier." He sat down in the car trying not to look at the damage until he got back to the garage. He started up the car and waited for Ted to sit and buckle his seat belt. "You know suddenly that doesn't look like a bad idea." Tristan grabbed the seat belt and buckled it in. He pulled out of the patking area heading towards the garage.
