The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Syn arrived in Central Park at 2pm. A full hour before the scheduled time she was instructed to be there at. The girl walked around and casually examined people as they passed by. No one seemed to be out of place but that didn't make her feel any better.
When her black and red Emily watch said 2:55PM she found an empty bench and sat down. She leaned back and kept her arms at her sides in a relaxed position. Alright mystery man come out, come out where ever you are.
Hunter had men in the park four hours before the meeting was due. They had spread themselves out, making themselves part of the crowd, but always keeping their eyes open for any Order members. When the tie came Hunter walked into the park. He had shunned wearing his suit and simply had on black tracksuit bottoms, a white vest and a black sports jacket.
He quickly spotted Syn from the physical description that Calley had given him. Walking up casually he took a seat next to Syn on the bench and gave her a smile. “Either you got the CD or this is a really strange coincident,” he said with a slight chuckle.
At 3pm a man sat on the bench next to Syn. He made a strange comment but he did mention a CD. The girl looked at the man. "Why would it be a coincidence? If you were the one to send a CD to me then I'm here to see what you have to offer and say." Syn didn't have any hint of amusement in her voice. Her tone was very to the point and serious.
Straight to the point, Hunter could see that this girl meant business. “Very well,” he said calmly, “We’ll skip the small talk then. I am here to propose and alliance with your organisation. Your goals coincide with mine, and so I see no reason for us to even come to blow, and many beneficial ones for us to fight along side one another.”
“My name is Hunter Antonescu, and I have formed my own team of mutants, similar to the Order. While are goals are not exactly the same, I believe that they can benefit one another.” He would now wait to hear what Syn made of his offer. He had been deliberately vague, he was interested to see how much he could get away with keeping secret.
"An alliance huh? So what interests do you have other than the fact that we might be able to work together without causing a conflict between our members? What can you offer me other than a guaranteed truce? Would you aid us in fighting the X-men as well as discovering their secrets?" Syn let the questions sink in. As some have found out Syn loved to play mind games and try to twist people's thoughts to her benefit.
"Obiously you have your own spies other wise you wouldn't know about my organization. So I think you should tell me about yourself and your little group." The girl didn't know how large the man's forces were but she was fully ready to make the Order out to be much bigger than the man might really know.
“My interests are largely to furthering myself,” he answered, and left it at that. Syn would make of it what she will. “As for the X-men, I see them as a serious thorn in my side and would aid in any plan to deal with them if I deem the risk level acceptable. I know the faces of all the X-men as well as a few names, but no powers as of yet, but I’m working on that.”
“As for myself I am, among other things, an exceptionally successful business man. The Kabal currently comprises of eight combat ready mutants that can be supported by roughly a thousand human soldiers if needed.” That was the number of soldiers at the lab, he didn’t include the various armed men prowling the park, nor other hired muscle in that head count. The soldiers were all well trained, well equipped and fiercely loyal to him. He wondered what Syn would make of that.
"I'm sorry that your mutants have to be aided by that many humans." A smirk made it's way across Syn's face for a moment. "I'm sure you're not telling me everything as I'm also sure you know I won't tell you everything."
The girl leaned back against the bench and stretched out her legs. She decided to take things to the next step byt releasing her pheremones to aid her during these negotiations. She didn't know this man but she was going to find out as much information as possible before this meeting was over.
Syn scooted herself very close to the man. This made sure her pheremones had a much greater affect. Tracing a finger over his shoulder she smiled in what seemed like a genuine smile. Though she had perfected it with much pratice over the years. "So, this group of yours. They're some sort of special strike team or just a bunch of mutant mercs?" Her piercing green eyes watched his exressions to see if her power was working at all.
(OOC: Due to Hunter’s enhanced immune system The pheramones will have a weaker effect than you expect)
Hunter smiled pleasantly at Syn as she scooted close. He had seen many woman try and use their feminine wiles on him over they years, none had succeeded. However, there seemed to be something particularly alluring about this one that he couldn’t place.
“Strike team,” he answered, then paused. He had been quick and direct with that answer, something he had decided he wouldn’t do before he came here. Something was different, and he guessed it was her, but he had no idea what. He didn’t feel and psychic presence trying to pry into his mind, but somehow she had made him speak more openly than he had planned.
In response he raised his guard, trying to take more care in what he said. He stared back into her green eyes with his silver ones. What he had intended to be a blank stare had a slight hint of something else. She was a remarkable person, someone who naturally made him feel at ease.
Hunters reply made the smirk on Syn's face broaden into a smile. Her power was working on him. She could see the man was finding her to be special somehow and that's how she liked it.
"I see. That sounds promising." The girl twirled a few strands of Hunter's hair with her index finger. "Perhaps we could strike up some sort of alliance so long as we keep things even between our groups. On that note I don't like being spied upon. I have enough problems with the X-Men and if I am to have any sort of trust in your word than that is where things will start." Syn tilted her head slightly towards Hunter as she played with his hair.
As the seconds passed he found himself warming more and more to Syn. Something was defiantly wrong, but he couldn’t work out what. She wasn’t utilising any form of psychic trickery, so it had to be something else. He needed to clear his head and revaluate the situation, and he couldn’t do that while she was fawning over him. With great mental effort he rose from the bench and walked half a dozen paces away from her taking deep breaths.
With each step he could feel himself returning to normal. Turning back to face her he still felt the tendrils of her inside him, pulling on him, but the effect had lessened. “I understand your concern,” he said smiling despite himself, “I only spied on you to work out whether you were a threat or a potential ally. Now that I know I will have no further need to spy on you.”
That was a lie, as even as they spoke Calley was at the Sanctuary. It had taken a great deal of effort to lie to her, and even more to hide it, but he had managed it. If he had remained sitting next to her he would not have been able to, and would have ended up revealing things he would rather keep secret. “Now I have a request, would you stop whatever you are doing to me. Somehow you are influencing me, I can feel it. I don’t know how you are doing it but if you don’t stop I will walk away from this meeting.” He hoped she would stop, for if she kept it up and moved towards him he wasn’t sure whether or not he could hold out long enough to get away.
Hunter's actions and words kept the smile on Syn's face. Though he may not have intended to sound like it but Syn thought of him as a flustered boy who jsut got his first glimpse at some cleavage. He was definately becoming wrapped around her little finger but he also was showing a great deal of fortitude by trying to resist her charm.
"Why would you think I'm doing something to you? Maybe I see a quality within you that attracts me or am I too much for you?" Syn winked at Hunter as she leaned back against the bench once more. "Are you sure you don't get this way when you're around females?" The girl giggled slightly.
So Syn wanted to play coy, well Hunter was in no mood for games. He too could be persuasive. Locking eyes with her he began using his mesmer to suggest she stop her manipulations. The fact that he didn’t know how she was doing it made it harder to counter in this manner, as he couldn’t give a specific command. He resorted to a general command to stop using mutant abilities to influence him.
“Stop it now Syn or I’m walking. Don’t try and dismiss it as something about me, I know when I’m being manipulated.” He had a similar feeling when he had been with Fiona, though with her he could tell it was a psychic attack, something he could directly shield himself against. Whatever Syn was doing he couldn’t shield himself against it, so instead had to counter attack with his own abilities. After all, the best defence is a good offence.
For some reason the girl had the urge to stop her little game, but it didn't seem like herself to want to stop. Syn loved her games. Was Hunter a mutant? Is he using some sort of power to influence her now? Things were getting alot more interesting, but the next time things would be different.
Changing her tone back to her serious side which Syn had originally started with she decided it probably was best to finish the business portion of the meeting. "Very well Hunter. What else do you wish to discuss at this time then?"
Hunter could feel the effects wearing off, and was relieved, but didn’t show it. Reaching into his pocket he pulled out a cell phone and tossed it to Syn. “That phone can only call one number, mine. You can use it to get in contact with me, and I’ll get in contact with you via it. Unless you have anything else you wish to talk about I think we can conclude this meeting with a alliance formed.”
He wanted the meeting to end. Syn had been much more than he had anticipated and it had almost cost him dearly. He made a mental note not to underestimate her, as she would prove far more tricky then he had thought.
Syn caught the phone and looked it over as she listened to Hunter. "Very well Hunter. Shall we shake on it too?" The girl winked at Hunter knowing he probably wouldn't do it. She merely used the comment as a reminder that she is a force to be reckoned with.
