The way that the other mutant's tail turned to still rest against Sara's neck was disturbing. Sara had healed from being shot in the head in the past. Though barely from what she understood. Loosing her head was another matter entirely and Sara's neck muscle couldn't help but flex against it. she felt the cool feeling of the cut being made before it stung. The tail was only an annoyance right now, but if it was flexible to cause an injury to her neck of any kind to Sara's neck even with her jaws firmly clenched in the higher section of the tail, then it was too flexible.
Sara had gone to push off against Aurion's chest and somehow in the process part of the other mutant's tail had managed to wrap around her shoulders. Sara's right arm managed to raise so that she could dig her claws into the fine of Aurion's tail. Push the edge that was so dangerously close to vital blood vestals away from her neck. She'd shred the fin if she needed to but for now she just wanted to sink her claws in for a better grip to protect her neck.
The result from her pushing off backwards, wasn't the elegant back flip away from her opponent that she had been hoping for but rather falling flat on her side with the tail around her chest and the upper part of her left arm. Making her feel as graceful as a falling sack of wet flower.
Sara's tail might have been flipping back and forth in agitation as she tried to angle herself in the grip of the tail, for a decent kick for Aurion's lower areas. The over all look had her imitating a fish caught on land, witch for this moment wasn't a bad genealogy. When it came to grappling with another mutant, she'd normally never been outmatched.
Meanwhile Sara's left hand fumbled at her belt trying to find her knife. The blade flipped out with a flick of the claw on her thumb and with the next motion she tried to plunge the blade through the middle section of that tail. Anything that she could do to try to level their playing field. Maybe she wouldn't cur the tail off, but she'd still make it hard for him to move it if she could.
