The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

“I disagree, you merely focused your pursuit of knowledge to things that applied to the task at hand, I am sure you could tell me all sorts of things about gymnastic technique and training.” He smiled lightly. Her perception of herself was a bit negative. It wasn’t quite down on herself but she didn’t seem to value herself as much as she should.
He listened patiently to what she had to say about the Olympians, “ that is the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard, Do they not realize that the inhabitants of mount Olympus its self had to have been mutants.” He shook his head. “ How they delude themselves and the spirit of the competition. “Still I don’t think your hard work should go to waste. “ you could perform your routine at Central park or something, at least show the world what you can do.If you wanted to.”
He nodded to Skydancer. “ I do know, I know all too well the dangers the world presents us with. I’d be happy to teach you, it would be good to have a nimble opponent to spare with.” She could probably handle him pretty easily in hand to hand if she used her mutation, which he would encourage. After they got the basics down though. he would have to stop playing fair though too. Keep it interesting.
He nodded. “Of course,I believe the majority of mutants are still capable of reproducing with humans and other mutants, I mean we are all the same species of homo superior, but even beyond reproducing, there is more to love than reproduction” a smirk came to his mouth. That sounded almost cold blooded, as if it had to be stated… and why was he talking about reproduction with the new girl, that couldn’t be appropriate. It wasn’t like he had said having sex, he was being scientific about it….
“but uh, yeah. Have you already gotten a room and a roommate? I might try to move to the adult section of the hallway soon.” He was pretty sure that would mean he couldn’t date other students. He wasn’t sure about that though, knowing the rules and following them were two different things.

"If that's the case, then I prefer the sort of knowledge that I can actually use and apply to my life directly. I don't have the patience otherwise." As much as anything else, that was why she had never completely excelled at school. She was bright enough to pick everything up, but so little of it actually seemed useful or practical that it just didn't hold her interest. Why would she want to sit in class when she could be out training her body instead?
Skydancer shrugged, although it was nice to have someone offer her sympathy for something that seemed just as ridiculous to her. "I don't think the actual Olympians really play much into it. I think I'd like to perform again though, even if not on the biggest stage. Its something that's inside me, that I'll probably never be rid of." She had tried to explain it before without a lot of success and she wasn't sure she could explain it much better now.
"I would love to train with you," Skydancer replied, elated. Maybe Koga could understand her motivation; in a strange way he seemed to have a simalar drive, though towards slightly different ends. "I'm no wall climbing lizard girl, but I think I could keep up." She offered a sheepish grin.
"I've got a room but no roommate currently." Maybe she was just lucky that way, although she had a feeling that would change sooner or later. "Does the Mansion offer college courses? I guess if I'm going to accept the fact that I have a future I should actually start considering what that future might be."
“I can understand that, there is definitely a pleasure that comes from being able to apply what you learn, but then, I can’t resist the useless stuff either.” Koga grinned. He was such a nerd and he loved it.
He raised an eyebrow. “ I hate to say it sso Ssoon after telling you that no one would make you get involved in the whole mutant human dilemma thing, you sstill don’t have to of coursse, but that asside, that iss ssometimess the reasson I go and fight crime. Mosst of the time it iss ssoley becausse I want to help ssomebody that iss getting mugged in the city, but ssometimess itss to sshow what I am capable of to the world.” That was the first time he ever admitted that, to himself, or anyone else for that matter. It wasn’t just about being a good person, sometimes, it was just fun.
He laughed. “I am ssure you can, I’m no Olympian, but I do train harder than anyone elsse I know and working together can only improve us both .”
He pondered the ground far below them.“From what I’ve sseen, the Manssion will hook you up with college courssess like a regular high sschool, but doessn't actually teach any itsself--sso you can take online, or do post-ssecondary at a local college. I haven't thought about what to do about college yet. part of me wants to go get a massterss and part of me wantss to proclaim I already have one.“

Clearly Koga enjoyed learning his useless stuff, as he put it, but Skydancer had never seen the point. Growing up she had friends who felt the same way and while they did appear to genuinely get a lot out of it, she could never quite wrap her head around the point. Skydancer shrugged. "Everyone has to have their hobbies and I'm certainly no one to judge them."
"Are you well known for your crime fighting?" Skydancer asked, genuinely curious. Now that was about the last thing she had ever considered doing. Thinking about it now, she supposed it could be an option if she ever wanted it and after a significant amount of training. She had what amounted to super powers, after all, though she wasn't at all certain it was something she would ever want. She wasn't certain of all that much, at that exact moment.
"Having someone to train with again would be wonderful. You have no idea what its like missing that part of my life." Or perhaps he did. There was something about being so driven to do something that Koga might just understand. It was as if a part of her soul had been ripped out and denied her and now she had the prospect of getting it back.
"I guess I've got a future to consider now," Skydancer answered. "I mean, college just...it didnt' seem like an option when I changed, you know? So, what should I be doing now?" It was meant as a rhetorical question, although the sentament was authentic.
"Famous? Not quite, I’ve made the news a couple times though and, I’ve found a couple of fan sites dedicated to me while I was running around in ninja gear.” The last he couldn’t help but say with a laugh.
“It’s fun, but the fame part of it gets dangerous. Leave too many clues and the criminals can catch up with you. What I really love is the look of relief in the people’s eyes that you help. When they just kind of realize that it is all about to be ok… and then sometimes you also get shock or who knows what else when they realize that they have been saved by someone with scales, or the old man that was mad that I was a teen and shouldn’t be risking myself for an old man.”
He nodded. “ I look forward to it. we could schedule it? just to make sure we keep it up? I know you aren’t a stranger to routine.”to be training for the olypics meant she would probably be more at a loss for the fact she had time to spend.
Koga didn’t believe in rhetorical questions. “ This. Contemplating your future. Enjoying life from the upper branch of a tree.” He nodded and then might have realized that She wasn’t actually asking him. He shut his mouth finally and then decided it was a good time to strike up the violin again.
