The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"An All meat Sandwich with american cheese," Emerald grinned, tail wagging back and forth. She looked at John curiously, "Where did you used to live anyways? Why did you leave in the first place if you dont mind me asking."
He shrugged. "My brother hates me, pretty much. Came home with a new girlfriend for our grandpa's funeral." He sighed. "The guy's no good... I tried to show his girlfriend that, maybe spare her some trouble, but he was waiting, made it look like I was trying to do some sadistic crap with her mind. Just about killed me, too. Then he went and convinced the family that I'm even worse than he is, took our sister with him to 'protect' her, and left." He shrugged. "Couldn't really go home after that."
"Man that sucks...still." Emerald sighed, tail drooping between her legs again. "So youre brother is the cause of all your problems? Well normally I would think a person would try to work things out with thier sibling but you look like one of those guys that would much rather handle things with fighting that anything else. But promise me you wont get yourself killed, i like having someone around my own age I can talk to."
Emerald smiled at him, tucking a strand of crimsion hair behind her ear.
"Eh, he'd tear me up. He's scary powerful," Johnny said, shaking his head. "Guy has six assault charges... but I'm the bad guy." He grinned, chuckling at the irony.
"And I have to say, it is nice to talk... haven't really had a decent conversation since Ohio." He put on a charming, somewhat shy smile as he continued, "And I have to say, the company's much better here."
Emerald felt a blush rise to her face before her better judgement pushed it away. She Smiled again before looking at John once again. "Six assult charges....thats it?" Emerald said with a small laugh, "I knew mutants back at the labs," Emerald cut herself off immediatly when she said the word labs.
He sighed. "I really don't know why I followed him to New York... don' t know what I think I'll accomplish. He is more believable than me, I have to admit."
"Well im sure if you got someone on your side then you would be fine." Emerald smiled. "You could try to work things out with him by going to see a counselr or by someone playing as the mediator."
"What?!" Emerald said, shocked by his answer. "Mike wouldnt hurt anyone, he is a good guy! He helped me and Daria go into an abandoed labratory and retrieve files. He saved both of us from becoming mindless fur puppets! Im....very confused now."
Emerald rubbed her temples gently trying to make sense of everything.
"See? I told you no one would believe me," Johnny said with a resigned shrug. "Not really a surprise, I guess. The guy can make you believe whatever he wants. He can be pretty convincing, I guess."
Emerald quirked a brow at Johnny. She was now really confused, "Are you saying he is using his power's to manuplate people?" Emerald asked in a confused tone.
