The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Leaving the car behind back at Travis' shop, Hokee went with public transportation, just for the day. IF there was one day of the year not to drive on, it was New Year's Eve in NYC. Pushing his limits, he was determined to really experience the ball dropping the real way, in the city. Later he could fill in Travis about where he was or what he did, but for now he was just going with the flow.
Walking around Time Square was amazing, and full of people. Prime targeting to picking up a little extra cash. Having spent most of the day walking about the streets picking up things here and there, along with selling things he had picked up, he was ready to hit the dance scene.
The lights of the city were going to be a slight problem, but all he needed to do was actually find a club that had a side entrance in the alley. There were times being able to slip away into the shadow convenient, today was just that. Under aged, yes. Fake ID, not yet. It was mutant time.
A few alley's later, and crawling through a bathroom window, Hokee found himself walking out into the main dance floor. Flashing lights, driving music and babes everywhere. This was LIFE! Flicking his hair, the teen started to grove his way into the masses. The deeper he drove into the dance floor, the more fun this was.
Aedus had plenty to celebrate about the year, the next year would only get better. Could only get better. He didn't have a date for the night, but he planned on solving that before the night was up. The fellas had better hold their ladies tight towards midnight because if he happened to be the one who got to her first and her lips were free and willing he might just ring in the new year with a kiss and not long after a confrontation from an angry boyfriend.
He was looking sharp, feeling good, the drinks were flowing and the party was in full motion. The DJ was playing some wild Daft punk mix that had the hole place jumping. He had his eyes set on a large group of women. With that many surely there would be someone that might separate from the pack. He made his way over and as he got closer he caught one of the ladies eyes. Her hair was so black it was either from a bottle or a mutation. It had a blue sheen to it. When she looked up her eyes glowed with a black light purple tinge. It was one of the reasons he loved this particular club, not only did a mutation not get you discriminated on, but it got you moved more quickly through the line. sure he had to prove that he wasn't wearing orange contacts. but it was worth getting in.
He got close to the blacklight lady and let himself relax and just dance. Letting everything else fade into to the background was good for the soul, he wasn't worried about what was wrong in the world and how he could help to fix it, he wasn't worried about the thousands of weird events that had come up in his life over the last few months. He was simply dancing with a woman that had a fantastically small skirt on and knew she wore it well.
Thrusting his arms up in the air, his pelvis jutted with the pounding bass. Hot babes, older hot babes...to bad Cree wasn't there. Well, he wouldn't get a chance like this again if he tried. So why not go with it while he can. Making his way around, he soon found a highly intoxicated girl to dance with. Those were the best girls to dance with in a club, they got all over you. Getting a bit close, he could soon smell the shampoo in the girl's hair, the faint remains of deodorant, her perfume...
Oddly enough the girl didn't smell of booze, but her dancing style seemed to beg differ. Either way he didn't care, for her lady movements were working their own set of magic on him. It was unknown if his own steady feet and strong dance deteriorated to accommodate hers or if something in the air started to intoxicate him. Slap happy, his sloppy movements circled around the girl. Talk about a blond bombshell, she was a walking shot of Tequila. Turning his body around, he was ready to dance back to back. Leaning back his body met something other then the blond bombshell.
Still slap happy, Hokee was sprawled out on the ground on his back. Boy was life good. Sitting up, he tried to spot the girl he had been dancing with, but he couldn't see her anywhere. Damn, people just moved to fast in the clubs. Slightly wobbly on his feet, he pushed himself to start dancing again. He was sure to find another girl to dance with soon.
Aedus winced as he saw the young man take a tumble, on a packed floor like this you'd typically run into someone else before you hit the ground. While he felt bad for him he was pleasantly suprised to find that the hot blonde that he was dancing with headed their way, she wove her way in between the woman that he was dancing with and himself. She moved like silk, she was smooth. The girl with the blacklight eyes was watching her just as closely as he was and then he felt like he had ten more drinks than he had, he went from a nice buzz to positively smashed. He started to stumble and the blonde moved on. His dance partner in the tiny skirt was going down until she leaned forward to anchor herself to Aedus and it caused both of them to sink to the floor. with four legs to slow them they went down a bit more gracefully then the other guy, but it was crazy how it had happend...was it Blondie that did it.
Who cared? Black light was leaning her pretty little dizzy head on him. Happy new Year?

Okay…so Akshay made a mistake.
Yes, he was at a New Years Party.
And yes, he knew it just supposed to be good times for all.
And YES, there was some pretty casual wear and some people wore a snazzy outfit or two.
But NO…it wasn’t not a costume party. When Akshay first walked into the club dressed as a his favorite character from a certain cartoon about an Airbender, he had assumed that everyone was just there in simple costumes. Never in his wildest dreams did he assume that his co-worker at the comic shop had read the flier to him wrong. Instead he simply assumed that he had spent far more time on his costume and would therefore be more ready for the ladies.
But nope, that was not the case at all. Instead, Akshay was the only person who dressed up in an overly black furry coat and battle armor that he had pieced together and sewn himself! Now he just looked like a cosplaying nerd that had wandered into a 2012 party!
Standing at the back of the dance floor, nursing an Appletini, Akshay watched as the people danced, as men smirked at him and as women eyed him curiously. Hmm, so he was a bit…oddly dressed, but that only meant that the attention was on him! It drew the ladies’ eyes to him and gave them a longer chance to survey him in all his awesomeness! Who was he to deny them a closer and more in-depth look of his person?
With a sly grin, Akshay took another sip of his drink and began to make his way to the dance floor, bopping his head and grooving along with the music. Before long he could no longer help the urge to dance that began to explode throughout his body and limbs…
…It was time to dance!! With furry coat, armor, and all!
2012 was going to be amazing, it was going to be brilliant, it was going to be, HOT CHICK! Stumbling through the dance floor Hokee attempted to dance his way towards the blond bombshell. He was crossing his fingers he might get to do a bit more then dance, if he could catch up with her. Staggering through the dance floor was difficult and he was sure he passed a guy who had discolored eyes, but he was really feeling a bit to intoxicated to really notice it. It was a fleeting though, passing moment....what was he doing again? Dancing yes that was it!
"YEAH!" Fist pump into the air and the equilibrium was shattered. Staggering backwards he crashed into someone. Slap happy he didn't care as his arms wrapped around the individual. "Ishhh a partay tonigh...YEAH!" Sloppy, just slightly, but he was having one hell of a time. This was lots of fun, sneaking into a club, dancing with the pounding music and it felt like he went to a keg party and was having the side effects from it without touching a drop of anything to drink. Epic.
While he was trying to steady himself on the stranger, his eyes caught sight of the blond bombshell. If he could whistle right now, he would have done that. If he could think clear enough, then a cat call could have been done. No instead he did what any intoxicated individual would do. "I love you." Was he talking to the stranger or the girl? Right now he loved anyone and everyone. If it felt this good right now being alive, yeah he was loving the world. He might even kiss Taylor on the lips if she was there...as long as in the end he got another dance with that bombshell.
Aedus planted his feet under himself and lifted his dance partner and himself back to a standing position, the effect was fairly short lived for him and his date, perhaps they had halved the effect between them? Who knows? Aedus glanced around for the pretty little blonde that seemed to have an inebriating effect. The guy that was on the floor a moment ago, was up and moving again, upon closer inspection the dred head was pretty young, and by Aedus guess way too young to be here. And way too young to be that wasted…except that he was dancing with that girl not too long ago. The young man was heading toward a man in …Armor? 2012 was going to be a weird year wasn’t it?...yeah.
Aedus maneuvered so he could see what happened next without neglecting his new favorite mutant with black ringlet hair.

Akshay could not help the beat that began to undulate throughout his limbs. Though the coat was heavy, the armor heavier, the Wordsmith simply could not help the urge to dance that burn throughout his body. He needed to move, he needed to spin, he needed to laugh out loud as he felt the music fill up his entire being to the point that he simply did not know how to contain himself anymore. Dance, he needed to dance to put out the flames.
He didn’t know if it was simply the music, the alcohol in the air, or the mere glimpse of a blonde bombshell that slipped by him that did it, but whatever the case, Akshay was beginning to feel just slightly light headed. What was that? He would have LOVED to have gotten her name and number (even a fake one) but for whatever reason he couldn’t think straight.
He felt good.
He felt warm.
He felt…drunk?
But…that was impossible. He had not even had a full beer yet! But try as he might to understand it, he simply couldn’t. He just felt too damn good!
“This sooongs about meeee!” he giggled and laughed as he danced about. But before he knew it, some younger, dreadlocked kid stumbled against him and slurred just as badly…
>> "I love you."
Blink…Blink…
Suddenly Akshay laughed loudly and still danced but with his new partner!
“OH…my…GOD…” he giggled drunkenly. “I love you too!! HAHAHA!”
Clank, clunk, clank....or was it clunk, clunk, clank? He couldn't tell for sure, either way it went with the beat of the music. Who would have thought armor to be such an addition to rave music? The fur with the armor was odd, but at the same time it was wickedly cool because well...everything right now was amazingly awesome and such. Laughing along at the giggles....wait the guy giggled? Laughing harder he found this mildly entertaining. It wasn't everyday someone in fur giggled liked a school girl, unless if it was some Siberian school full of giggling school girls....
"No...I love you man!" Now he really wanted a drink, dancing with a drink would be so awesome right now. A coke would work, he didn't want to be all smashed trying to catch the right public transit back to the shop. As the Daft Punk song faded out, a new pumping beat kicked through the speakers. The thudding of the bass tickled his toes through his shoes. He knew the song very well that started to beat through. If the fur armor guy thought the last song was his song, he had no clue how much this one was himself.
"Girls looking at the body, girls...haha!" With the crescendo of snare, Hokee started to pinwheel his arms about while making a totally different and more tasteless dance move with the other half of his body. It didn't take many shots of watching the music video to learn some of the moves, though he couldn't nail the 'wiggly' part yet of the song. Intoxicated it made the dance actually easier to do, more fluid. "This is about MEEeee!"
As nice as the music was helping the dancing out, with the dance floor crowded, it didn't take long at all for him to smack his pinwheeling hand into someone else. What ever he hit was rather hard. Head or shoulder or....he didn't care. With a shake of his hand, he just took a stagger forward and picked back up on his dance. "You know I'm wiggly and I know it."Wait..what? I'm funny.
Aedus took a smack to the back of the head. How had they gotten behind him? He was watching them wasn't he, His eye met his dance partners bring them up from her chest and she merely laughed at him. "I think that guy just hit me!" She looked around.
"It's just some Teenager, he is just dancing don't worry about it." The women replied with a less than sober lilt to her voice. She was leaning on him more than she was when they first started dancing. He wondered if the blonde had poisoned them or if she could turn it off.
It was a good thing he didn't drive tonight. Aedus turned to look at Wiggly and the Armor guy as he thought about this disturbing video. He wondered if those guys knew LMFAO, wern't they in the video, there was always guys with Crazy hair and crazy clothes...Nah it most have been the booze thinking.

>> "No...I love you man!”
D’awww, wasn’t that sweet?!! Akshay had to admit that whoever this person was, they had BOTH proclaimed that they loved each other, and out loud! It was then that a random fact popped into his head: in some customs, when two people announce something like that, it means that there are not lashed together in wedded bliss!
…
…
Nuuuuuuuuuuu!!! his mind screamed.
He was too young to face the shackles of matrimonialhood, right? He was only 24 years old! He still had a long and very full life to lead! Even if this person had some pretty awesome dreadlocks, that did not mean that he was ready for something that serious! There was still dating, romance, conversations to be had! It was moving fast, far too fast for his drunken mind to comprehend of.
>> "Girls looking at the body, girls...haha! This is about MEEeee!"
He paused.
Wait…this girl’s a duuuude? Akshay asked himself curiously. He shuddered as he forced himself to stop dancing and focus long enough to stare at his partner. And a yooouuuuuung dude! Eww!
>> "You know I'm wiggly and I know it."
…
And that was Akshay’s cue to stagger away. He his was feeling overly fuzzy, as if it were absolutely swimming in alcohol. But try as he might he simply could not stop the drunken feeling. And Akshay was always careful about how much alcohol he drank because when he didn’t…well…he lost focus…
“What the HELL was that?” he asked…a little too loudly.
The word H-E-L-L began to form in the air behind him. The heavy looking word, lined with black and with an inside of iridescent white sparkled and took shape as it solidified. Akshay paid no attention until he turned around, trying to slap sense in himself. When he noticed it, it was too late to pluck it out of the air or shoo it away. The large word, about the length and width of a baseball bat, suddenly fell to the ground and shattered hard upon the ground.
He blinked, staring down at the broken remnants of the word.
Dancing intoxicating was the best thing in the world, maybe he could do this every Friday night...or Saturday night....what day of the week was it? Wait, better yet he could do that both nights of the week, that was if he could remember this after the night was over. Tomorrow was going to be one hellish of a day for sure, a day he would regret getting to this point. Yet, he couldn't remember drinking anything. Maybe he caught a good inhale of something in the bathroom earlier or, naw didn't matter either way how he came to this state, he was just how he was right now with no chance of turning back anytime soon.
If there wasn't the pounding rhythm of the music pumping through his ears, and if he wasn't as loose as a goose, he might have heard the girl complain. Oh well! Wait, if he did hear the girl, there wouldn't be much difference in his reaction if he knew or not. The joys and thrills about being young and stupid. Other perks were having the...having....perks...DANCING!
In the proclamations of love and such, the dancing continued to commence, multitasking males, how contradictory! His little dance partner, well not that little since he was dressed in fur and armor, had peddled away from him. Well how was he to dance with them when they went all in the wrong direction. Ready to dance back to them, the slightly....heavily...the intoxicated teenage found himself hallucinating the weirdest thing ever. Hell was literally in front of him. This was....like living in the 70s.
Fire and brimstone, torture and torment....oddly enough hell didn't seem to have any of this feature floating before his face. The odd sight of this was to bring attention but not alarm, more of questioning his own sanity. Maybe they were slightly right about all the spray painting in closed distances without a mask on would mess with his brain, but never did he think hell would appear in a club before him. This gave a whole knew meaning to 'all hell breaking loose'.....wait or was that once the word dropped to the ground and shattered to the ground like any aspirations of him being a model citizen.
The DJ ripped a record as the music stopped. Apparently he wasn't hallucinating, or else he had missed something else that the DJ caught instead. "YEAH!" Was he the only one making a sound now? Okay there had to be some murmurers going around by this point. "Hell YEAH!" Wait, was the blonde bombshell looking at him now? Oh yeah, she was totally checking him out....that or the backside of Furryarmor...No she was his chick tonight and noone in fur was going to out do him. Flicking his hair, Hokee was soon standing on his toes with his knees bent out. "ROCK ON! I'm on the HIGHWAY TO HELL!"
Snickers, muttering...eh didn't matter what the background chatter was about right now. The gal was lost in the sea of people again. Well that sucked, he broke out into song for nothing. He'd need to find some way to impress her big time, or get her jealous. Did girls come crawling to you with jealously if they thought you were hot enough. He needed someone and fast. "Furry so not" hiccup,"stealing my girl." With a last resort of soberness, if there was any bit left to begin with, Hokee's feet trampled all over hell while a new song bust into play.
Hey...The music stopped. a bleary eyed vision of a word popped up previously and it wasn't doing anyone any harm until it smashed the dance floor. Bouncers started heading for the two men that seemed as confused as he did.
"sweetheart, I'ma, gonna help them." He planted a kiss on the Girl he'd been dancing with for the night. " If this goes how I think it is save it for midnight and think of me."
The girl started to protest and popped a pen out of a little purse that had been bouncing off her hip... He was suprised the thing had room for anything much less the mini pen it concealed. she scrawled on his arm in almost legible digits her number. he then proceeded to make way across the room to the armor guy and the drunk teen...he made it just in time for the huge bouncers to start grabbing at the trio, intending on removing them...they were either super strength mutants...or they were mr.universe league body builders. either way, Aedus thought resistance was futile. besides he could barely stand on his own as it was.

Akshay was still trying to sober up but he really just didn’t know how he was drunk to begin with! He didn’t even have a drink yet and all of a sudden he felt as absolutely high as a kite! What the hell was going on here? The worst part of all this, not the dancing with a wiggling young man, but the fact that because of his new found inebriation, he did not have a strong a control over his powers as he normally did. It much like the time when Sveta walked into his comic shop, he was going to be dropping words the entire night if he was not careful.
The young mutant did his best to keep himself from talking, but as he staggered on his two feet, he found that the drunken feeling could not be easy to shake off. This was getting ridiculous. But the worst of all was that directly after he had said the word “HELL” and watched it shatter against the ground, the music ground to a halt. He paused, wide-eyed as he looked about the room. The music started up into the next song but it was quickly interrupted by powers that were far beyond his control.
“Eep!” he squeaked the second he felt the eyes of the bouncers all fall upon him.
He thought this place was mutant friendly but for whatever reason he was being targeted. Just, absolutely great! Of course in the long list of mutants and their powers, HE would be the one that gets targeted! His power was not even dangerous and yet for whatever reason these people decided that he needed to be escorted out? He was not even being the most OBNOXIOUS one in here?
But tried as did to wrap his head around the issue, in his drunken state it simply was not happening. With a shaky step to the side, he put on his best smile, trying to no get on the bouncer’s bad sides and just beamed.
“Sup guys? A-Anything wrooong?” he slurred.
Unfortunately his brain knew exactly what he was saying and before he knew it he watched with blurry eyes as the word “G-U-Y-S” began to form itself in the air between both himself and the oncoming bouncers. He winced because as much as he wanted to reach out and wave the word away before it could fully form, a queasiness began to overtake him in his drunken state.
Akshay held his stomach as he waivered. This was SO not a good night…
The look in others eyes as they looked upon him, they so wanted his body and were envious of his masterful skills on the dance floor. The way he could shimmy and shake, rolls his abs and make moves that wooed girls. Gene Kelley, Michael Jackson....he was so much better then either one of them. This wasn't cheesy Broadway dancing or fake spinning about on a stage. No this was the jaw dropping Stomp the Yard kind of dancing or any of those other pop culture movies that had girls giggling in gaggles.
Was giggling girls a sign of his powerful manhood captivating them in desirable ways? Or was the giggling him....
Before he knew what was going on, he could feel very powerful hands taking a hold of his body. Holy cow, he really was famous now. He was a rock star, America's next dance crew...wait was he on TV? There were other big guys starting to gather around to take him away and others. Wait, were they famous? Hopefully someone had a pen because if Jack Black was in there, he totally wanted an autograph. Wait, he was being man handled, did this mean people were trying to get his autograph?
Hokee tried to wave his hand to his adoring fans. "I need a pen to sign autographs. Watch the hair, its real." Wiggly, trying to free himself from his new acquired body guard. Sure they were there to make sure his fans didn't tear the clothes off his back. He had fans to please, autographs to sign....and the furry armor guy just made smoke rings from his mouth without smoking. Wait...not smoke rings but there was a word totally forming.
"HOLY Double cheeseburger, I LOVE YOU ALLLL!" Maybe he could get fuzzy man to stamp his signature for his fans. That would be awesome. Puckering up his mouth he tried to write his name in the air with his tongue. This had to be the trade mark that made him so famous, why else would he have fans trying to get his autograph and wait there was another guy trying to butt in line. Mr funny eyes. Wow, he really must have impressed everyone with his dancing, even the guys were running to him!
