The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Aedus stumbled forward and caught the word Guys, not knowing what to do with it he simply held it awkwardly not knowing if just being there was all it was going to do, you never could tell with mutant. " Seriously Guys!" heh. "I think someone spiked us. everything was copa copa copacetic and then next thing I know blame I am wasted, I only had four drinks and I'm Irish, I drink like a well and don't get dizzy, this is crap! "
His eyes went to the teen with Dreads who was still dancing as he was being semi dragged towards the door. He then started to wiggle his tongue in the air and Aedus couldn't help but be somewhat appalled.
"whoa whoa whoa fellas, you don't know who I am." a Man who knew how to bluff." Let us wait it out in the VIP, I'm good for the fee," He waved to his dance partner and she stumbled over just as wasted as the rest of them. " Look," A pair of hundreds slid into the bouncers pocket. " It's new years, Lets get along, let us into the lounge, if we cause too much trouble there, throw us out. you get your tips, the waitress in the lounge makes more the club makes more, everybodies happy."
The bouncer looked dubious.
Aedus grinned, he had him on the hook. "Could we get an escort there?/" The group of linebackers changed direction and proceeded to move the four of them towards a stair case that went to where the high rollers partied. once they were in, they could get away with whatever they wanted.
Aedus nodded to the guy in the armor and the dread head teen.

Akshay did not see the word plucked out of the air. Instead the word-speaker had barely had time to notice as a couple of large, burly men grabbed him by his shoulders, as well as the kid with the dreadlocks who was dancing, and began to drag him towards the door! For a moment Akshay felt like he was some psychotic in a mental institution about to be locked away, screaming, for the rest of his natural life. But he quickly reassured himself that this was not going to be the case. At most they would kick him out the door.
But why? That was what totally sucked! He didn’t mean to cause a scene! He was just a little drunk and it was New Year’s Eve so what was to be expected? Damn double standards! Though Akshay did not know HOW he exactly had this drunken feeling, he did know that this was still unfair. After all, he had done nothing wrong but let his powers slip once…okay maybe twice. Maybe this place was just that strict about keeping powers holstered?
Well, he would have plenty of time to think about this as they were dragging both him and the teen with the dreads away from the party and towards the exit. So much for having a fun night.
But just as he was being dragged away someone attempted to intervene…
>> "whoa whoa whoa fellas, you don't know who I am…Let us wait it out in the VIP, I'm good for the fee…It's new years, Lets get along, let us into the lounge, if we cause too much trouble there, throw us out. you get your tips, the waitress in the lounge makes more the club makes more, everybodies happy."
Akshay looked through his beer googled eyes at the man who was trying to help them. He claimed he was a big shot but no matter how hard Akshay squinted his eyes, he really could not tell who the man was. Was he an actor? A musician? Some kind of young entrepreneur? Akshay simply could not place his face.
Then he saw the bills being flashed. That obviously got the bouncer’s attention. The guards were practically salivating to get some of that money. After all, what did they care if a couple of VIPs were acting stupid? So long as they were out of the way and isolated, right? The bouncers released their grip on him just a tad and he slumped a little. They were still uneasy about letting him go, obviously, but they still managed it.
>> “Could we get an escort there?"
He arched a brow but had to grin at the guy. He was slowly beginning to sober up the man was proving to be quite nice. He hoped this was not all part of some nefarious plan to earn his trust and then leave him in a tub of ice with his kidney freshly cut out. But…that was crazy…right? Ahem.
Before he knew it, both him and the teen with the dreads were led into a very private room at the top of some staircase. The bouncers were gone and he shakily looked left and right before his eyes settled on the man. He gave him a nod.
Akshay grinned.
“You…are SUCH a lifesaver!” he grinned.
Though, still inebriated, Akshay could already feel that pull at the back of his head as the word “LIFESAVER” began to hover up in the air between them. Quickly, though, he waves his arms through the word and caused it to disperse into the ether. He smiled innocently at the man and his date who were sure to have seen the word.
As a famous belly dancer. Yes that had to be it, he was the famous belly dancer from...the window? Laughing a bit for no reason, Hokee found himself being ushered away from the door and now in a different direction. Seemed like he was going to be going on stage soon or something along those lines. Looked like the funny eyes and armor guy were going to, maybe they were belly dancers as well. He never belly danced with them before, or did he? Eh, didn't matter.
Going up the stairs was an impossible task. It was a freaking mountain! How did they ever expect him to climb up those? Not able to get his legs to work right, he was ready to climb up the stairs on hands and knees until one of the bouncers picked him up slinging him over their shoulder like a rag doll. With both his hands making the international symbol for Rock and Roll, he stuck his tongue out and started to rock out with the music as he flew through the air up the stairs butt first. Poor body guard, hopefully the flashy bills were enough to pay for doing this.
Dropped on the ground like a sack of potatoes, Hokee rolled over on his back looking up at the ceiling. While laying there he could see floating letters. Boy this club had the best special effects ever. "Lifesaver...those are some good stuffs." Giggling a bit, he rolled over a bit. To bad the gal with the guy wasn't standing closer, then he might have been able to look up her dress. Oh well, if they were all going to go on stage as belly dancers, then he'd see the goods soon enough.
Boy was his head starting to hurt. Was he a belly dancer or was he just confused with everything going on. Crawling onto his hands and knees, he slowly crawled across the floor trying to get himself back up on his feet. Crawling in a straight line was impossible, instead he was going in a lopsided oval back to where he started. Giving up, he finally just flopped back on the ground. "You look like good pillows."
Aedus let a small smile settle on his face as his expensive bluff paid off.
The effects seemed to be warring off of Aedus fairly quickly, perhaps it was his alcohol tolerance kicking in and working against the mutation, he wasn’t sure. Perhaps it was because the little wicked blonde hottie split the effect on him and his new acquaintance. “Just a man with a plan.” Aedus stepping over the teen, he placed the word ‘guys’ on a coffee table he pet the word to feel the texture and try to figure out what exactly the thing was made out of.
“I’m Aedus Teague by the way, no one the bouncers should have actually known by the way.” He looked to his date and considered that he could have kept that quiet, but he liked to play it straight and honest. Hopefully pulling this off would be enough. “So, Armor huh?” He looked quizzically at the wordsmith. He looked to the teen rolling navigating the floor. Maybe he would let him get some sleep before he made sure he got home safely.

Akshay still had trouble standing up straight but his head was beginning to clear up a lot. He was thankful for that. The last thing that he wanted was to lose complete control of himself. With every passing second more and more of his senses were beginning to return but there was little he could do to make them return faster. He simply had to wait it out. In the meantime, that meant he could not speak. Which was difficult but if it would prevent any of his new friends from receiving a concussion or a broken toe, then so be it.
After a moment or two he finally steadied himself to keep from falling over and sighed. He was happy to have a break from the partying downstairs so he could regain himself some. And it looked as if he was in some rather safe company…
>> "You look like good pillows."
Except that guy. Akshay would have shaken his head but he feared the movement to topple him.
He turned his eyes back to the orange-eyed man as he began to inspect the word “GUYS” that he had caught earlier. He did seem to be rather fascinated with it but Akshay could not blame him. The majority of people who saw his power in action rarely knew HOW to react other than by being mystified. But, thankfully the man did not want to delve deeper into how he pulled off such a thing just yet.
>> “I’m Aedus Teague by the way, no one the bouncers should have actually known by the way.”
He smirked.
“A-Akshay…Malik,” he muttered, struggling to keep his control. “Guess I owe you then, huh?” he beamed. “You really didn’t need to do that.”
>> “So, Armor huh?”
He smirked again and shrugged his shoulders.
“Yeah, my best pal, Jean, told me it was a costume party. Last time I believe him.” he felt his concentration wane. He held back a few of the words but “COSTUME” and “TIME” began to form in the air between then. Another drunken wave and he stopped their formation. He felt like he was beginning to look rather silly.
Either his head was squashing him from the top or his stomach was flying to his nose. Between the two the sensation of feeling sick was more then imaginable, but highly probable. The body of the teen curled into itself as his knees nuzzled against his nose. It didn't help his abdominal region with this closing pressure, but at the same time he could feel a slight bit of relief by pressing his heels into each other. Laying on the ground, he couldn't help but just let the words float above his head as awkward conversation fizzled about.
He couldn't explain how things happened, nor could he ever really give an answer to how it happened. One moment he was fine, then he felt a bit giddy and now...it was like he ate three medium pizzas from Little Ceaser and half a whole cheese cake. There was the pretzels he ate on the street, and the McDonald, but no way on earth could that kinds of nutritional food leave him in this state. Matters weren't helped much either with the bit of fog dwindling about between his ears. It was very hard to think like this, with his stomach revolting his head all funky and he could swear there was a bit of a drift hitting his back.
With his own hand stroking his back, he could feel the fabrics of his shirt ridding up...did that explain things? He couldn't be sure on it, it seemed possible but at the same time how could it be. His shirt just didn't go and start walking up his back or anything,. If it did, then he must have felt little tiny feet walking about his back. Did he have a little garden gnome living on him now or was this more of the fog settling in again? Either way, something wasn't right, oh well it would just have to stay that way for now.
"This place got Ginger beer?" Completely fine with staying on the floor, he tried to adjust himself to see everyone. The girl up there had nice knees, but that was about all he could see not wanting to move his head around to much. He could see the feet of the armor guy and an elbow of the famous guy. The floating words on the other hand, he didn't need to move at all to catch them floating in the air like little helium balloons. "Anyone else see that...the floating stuffs?"
Aedus waved away the Debt. "Nah, I was going to make a play for myself and Veronica here, anyhow.I'm happy to have brought you along, not your fault that tiny blonde made us dizzy." Aedus shook his head and grinned. " I think he needs to get some bad Intel on his next outing from his good friend Akshay."
He watched the words spring up out of nowhere. "You should think about going into the sign making business, my family excels in mutant related business, throw some paint on these bad boys and you could have a great product at a low cost...if you want to you can give my brother a call and he could see you got started on solid ground."
Veronica waved to Akshay and looked down warily at the teen on the ground ensuring that he legs were together to stop any temptation of doing something that might cause her to give the wasted lump on the ground a highheeled kick to the head.
Aedus looked over to the dread head on the ground and waved over a waitress, "Can we get a ginger ale, and two coffees?" the question shot at Veronica. After a nod he continued. "two coffees and, do you want anything Akshay?"
Aedus nodded. " I believe that is one of Akshay's talents."

>> "Nah, I was going to make a play for myself and Veronica here, anyhow. I'm happy to have brought you along, not your fault that tiny blonde made us dizzy…I think he needs to get some bad Intel on his next outing from his good friend Akshay."
Akshay smirked. He glanced down at his costume, still feeling some slight effects from that blonde that had been sauntering around, so the gesture made him wobble. But he was still able to get a nice long look at his costume and he immediately vowed to have revenge. Jean was so going to pay for it, whether this mix up was intentional or a New Year’s joke. Either way, Akshay was going to get Jean back for this.
But as he looked up, noticing that some of his words had started to float away again, (at least they were not solidifying), he spied that his new friend Aedus had immediately taken notice of them. Especially of the word that he had brought up from down on the dance floor.
Akshay stared at that “GUYS” word as Aedus’ had poked and prodded and he had to smirk. It really was hard for some people to grasp that his powers could be so…odd.
>> "You should think about going into the sign making business, my family excels in mutant related business, throw some paint on these bad boys and you could have a great product at a low cost...if you want to you can give my brother a call and he could see you got started on solid ground."
Money off of his mutation? He wished…
“Awesome idea, really,” Akshay said with a nod. “Words only last at max…maybe…24 hours or so. So it would be a short lived venture,” he laughed.
>> “Can we get a ginger ale, and two coffees? Two coffees and, do you want anything Akshay?"
“Oh, um, just a water, I guess,” he said as he winced, feeling his head. “Maybe some asprin if that’s possible…”
>> "Anyone else see that...the floating stuffs?"
>> " I believe that is one of Akshay's talents."
Akshay had glanced down to the source of that first question. The kid on the floor looked to be coming out of the daze as well, but on top of that he just appeared to be a rather queasy state. Maybe he had been affected by that blonde a bit longer than he did because short of a headache, Akshay was fine. He shook his head as the kid continued to lie on the ground, with no signs of attempting to get up.
“Um, guy, are you going to be okay?” he asked with concern.
Was it possible to be hungry and not hungry all at the same time, well it must be because that was exactly how he felt. Of course there were other things he was feeling to go on top of that, but most things didn't matter. Making himself comfortable on the ground, he didn't bother to get himself to a couch or any other form of more civil mingling behavior. The floor was just fine for him. Then he didn't have to worry about falling or anything. With how unstable his body was already feeling, he didn't want to do anything else that might make him feel funky.
"Ginger beer is better." Okay he really needed to get himself up off the floor if he was going to have a drink at all. Though from the looks of things, it could be a year or two before anything really happened. Or wait....the guy did place the order so it was possible it would be in this year they'd get a drink. All he needed now was some girls to dance with and a bit of snack food. The blond downstairs would be nice, she just had a way of making him feel so good and fluffy inside. It was similar to the feeling of wetting oneself...but more acceptable in society.
"Hey....I'm alright." Maybe he wasn't in top shape, but so far everything had stayed in him. Didn't that call for bonus points or something. maybe if he was lucky he could pick up the phone number of the blond bombshell. Naw, that wasn't going to happen, he'd find another chick before the night was over. "What's up with your eyes?" The girl with the one guy didn't seem to have favorable eyes at him, well to bad for her. She should be glad he wanted a free show and a loo, it was something to be very flattered about. "Do they got fries here?"
“There is really something called ginger beer?” He looked to his date who shrugged and then to Akshay, he had only ever heard of Ginger Ale. He’d have to try, cause if you couldn’t take the word of a drunken teen on the floor of a club on new years, who could you believe?
“ well I guess it would still work if you ever wanted to work a scam and be gone before they got back.” Aedus shrugged with a laugh to Akshay’s claim of short lived words.
“They glow. Just like the energy beams I can shoot from them.” veronica replied lightly to the kid on the ground that looked like he might attempt to thwart gravity once more.
Huh. That was good to know, if things got serious with that one, he’d make sure she broke up with him… and didn’t kill him? she was hot but what if she shot beams in her sleep, that would not be good for his deposit. The waitress came back with the drinks and a bottle of asprin. “ you all look like you might need some and based on the orders, you guys have been having fun downstairs. “ she passed out the drinks. And handed Akshay the asprin bottle. “ You need someone to kiss at midnight, you let me know.” Aedus grinned. “ That just means we need to get you up and about before the bell tolls for ya kid.”
Veronica got out her cell, “ my friends would love to be up here, one of them snuck there younger sister in, she’s seventeen, but I am guessing about as close as he is going to get in here otherwise.”
Aedus shrugged and sighed on the inside. “Sure bring them up and tell them to put it on Aedus Teague’s tab.” He looked to the waitress and she nodded.

The waitress came up with drinks as well as, thank god for it, aspirin. Thankfully the wordsmith took the medication from her and nodded his gratitude for her. She certainly was a heaven sent. Stepping back, he sighed happily as he cracked open the bottle and pulled out one or five pills and sighed as he popped a couple into his mouth and sipped at his glass of water. He sighed as he swallowed the medicine, thankful to have it. He hoped it would kick in quickly.
Akshay turned as he lowered his head, trying to will the headache away. He really did not want to say anything else, for fear of making the words appear. But his powers were still going to plague him. As Aedus, his girl, and the teen spoke, he caught snippets of their conversation (only the nouns, actually,) as they literally fluttered out of their lips and floated into the space above their heads.
Thankfully they could not see them. Only Akshay could. If they could then he had no doubt in his head that they would probably be freaking out all over the place.
By the time that the pounding in Akshay’s head eased up, he turned and realized that apparently there was talk about people joining in on their little fun…
>> “ my friends would love to be up here, one of them snuck there younger sister in, she’s seventeen, but I am guessing about as close as he is going to get in here otherwise.”
>> “Sure bring them up and tell them to put it on Aedus Teague’s tab.”
Akshay smirked. Whoever this Aedus Teague guy was, he really knew how to party. Maybe he just met his new best friend.
“The more the merrier,” Akshay agreed with a smirk. “It is the New Year after all!”
Lazar shooting eyes, that couldn't be possible. She wouldn't dare do anything like that in here, with all the people there. Sure the guy had funky eyes, there was more of a chance he could be the one to shoot......Best not to push his luck with the woman, she seemed rather attached to the guy right now.
With another attempt of trying to get his feet back under him, the teen sloppily managed to muster himself across the room. "Seventeen works....she better use some tongue or its a no go for me." No go, or more likely him loosing his NYC city street vender food right there on the spot. Good thing he wasn't dancing up a storm right now, that might slosh what bit of brains he had in him still right out his ears. The fun things teenagers do to enjoy the perks of adult life. There were other things he wanted as well, but not exactly something to talk about in the presence of strangers, and the person who was willing to send someone in to hook him up with. A little tonsil hockey would be nice, could possibly clear the fuzz from his thinking.
"What, no fries?" Pain killers seemed like a good idea but he'd rather some nice good cheese fries with bacon and scallions. His head did have that feeling of needing something to get rid of the nagging feeling. This was just the way things were. Something that he didn't' have a lot of control over, but he'd have to get used to it.
"Music is great, but some fries would be mighty fine right now. Hook me up babe?" His attempts to follow the waitress was a bit sloppy, but he had more dexterity now then he did five minutes ago. Funny how things worked. Blonde bombshell got him all intoxicated, going to be hooked up with a girl for some guilty pleasure and if he could actually get the attention of the waitress he could score some good fries hopefully. Boy did he have the munchies now. Then again, he was a teen boy, when didn't he crave some delicious junk food treats.
Aedus grinned at Akshay's enthusiasm and raised an eyebrow at Hokee's requirements. " That is something you'd have to take that up with her, I'm sure. though if you play your cards right, it is new years." He shrugged.
Aedus popped a couple of the Advil after seeing the fact that they were indeed legitimate the last thing he needed right now was getting slipped something.
He watched amused as the young man went after some french fries and the waitress. The waitress gave the youngman a dead pan look and then smiled agian, did you order fries, I must of missed it sorry! Sure I'll get you an order of fries, you need ketchup? or are you one of those people who eats theirs with mustard or mayonnaise?" You could tell she was playin, but was no fan of the yellow and white condiments.
He sipped his drink as He waited for the rest of the ladies to come up and head over. hopefully at least a couple would stick around to hang out with the guys. but he would leave that up to all of them. Veronica introduced the ladies and he...."This is my friend Akshay and this is, where did he go?" The truth was he didn't know the Kid's name.

Akshay smirked as he watched the kid follow after the waitress, trying to get some French fries to go with his hangover. Food really was one of the best ways to fight it, but hopefully god be with him that he will be able to hold it all down. Either way it should be an interesting show. So Akshay said nothing as the kid wandered off to try and score some French fries from the waitress.
As he did that, Akshay reveled in the effects of aspirin as it coursed throughout his system. Already he was feeling the effects of his hangover slipping away. Thank goodness for that. After all, this was New Year’s Eve and it was no fun to spend it completely knocked on your butt out of too much alcohol.
OR the effects some of blond mutant bombshell that made you just feel like you were completely knocked on your butt out of too much alcohol. Whatever the case, partying needed to be had.
>> "This is my friend Akshay and this is, where did he go?"
…
If he were an anime character, his nose would have burst into a nosebleed. Of COURSE this guy would be able to supply the hotties! So far he had kept them out of trouble, flashed cash for the V.I.P. room, and now was filling it with a plethora of babes? It was just getting to be too much. What, was this guy like related to the Hef or something? Either way, he respected the man vastly now.
“Evening, ladies!” he grinned as he gave an elegant bow. Thankfully the armor wasn’t heavy enough to topple him over.
“Wow…are you, like, wearing armor?” One dark-skinned woman with extremely curly, black hair asked with wide, blue eyes. Not to mention and extremely short, green dress that looked absolutely killer. “Are you a knight?!”
Akshay arched a brow. Grinned and nodded. “Yes, I am a knight.” Best. New Year’s. EVER.
What the hell was this waitress talking about? "Fries lady, pour on the salt and nothing else. " So his mouth seemed to be doing the talking though the rest of his body was itching to have a bit different rendition of a classic side dish. The world of a teenager, say and do different things. That was just how life was and he didn't plan on changing it any time soon. Chasing her down was an activity in itself, but trying to follow what she was saying was just to much work. He just wanted fries, that was it, simple.
His attention veered away from the waitress as something else caught his eye. Girls. Hot mercy they weren't just girls, they were drop the jaw and start drooling kind of girls. Tonight couldn't get any better. Well, if he had the fries that would make things better, but still hot mamas in the house! Goodbye youth, hello manhood. While the waitress was off someplace else, he couldn't help but check out the plethora of womanage in the room. He just might score big time tonight. Happy New Year Hokee! Now what babe would most likely give him the most action....
Mini skirt, that had promise....scandalous overall outfit, tons of promise....slightly intoxicated, very promising. Oh man this was hitting a gold mine tonight. Eying up one of the girls, he couldn't believe fuzzy armor word guy was making his move on her. Well one less woman to pick from. Making his way over to the scandalous looking woman, he tossed an arm around her. "Hokee's in the house!" Okay, she didn't seem to like that but he could recover from it. "I must have died, I'm in the presence of an angel here."
