The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Streak didn't notice another mutant come around and started to knock out the other guards. He was too busy getting ready to fight the other guards. Soon the guards noticd the other mutant and it was like someone had rung the bell for the next round in a boxing ring. Suddenly the guards were all over the place.
Streak started by taking the two guards that were torturing Raina. He took the first one out, who was pushing the remote, with a round kick right to his jaw. Streak felt his foot go further than it was supposed to. He only had time to guess that he had broken the guards jaw with the kick. The next guard came up and started whaling on Streak. It happened so fast Streak didn't even have time to recover from his first attack.
Streak fell onto the ground and the guards jumped on him. 'Crap' Streak thought. they had him pinned as best they could and were trying to choke him out. There were so many guards taht he wasn't sure if he could get out of it. But he was going to continue trying until he blacked out or he got out of this predicament. "Man y'all never play fair." Shawn said struggling with them. He took a couple more punches to the face and ribs.
He then grabbed the arms of the guard on top of him. and managed to switch positions and get on top of that guard. Streak then began to beat up that guard and fend off the other guards with kicks. The first guard that he had hit was still on the ground and not moving. He finally landed a knock out strike to the guard he was on top of and quickly jumped up and began fighting the other guards.
'There's too many of them' Shawn thought. He was wearing out from all the fihting and as a result was taking more and more punches and kicks instead of blocking them. Every once in a while he would get a really good hit on one guard or another; which would make them slow down a bit before they came back and attacked him some more. In the scuffle he managed to get the baton that he threw back and was able to use it to help fend off the guards.
"Give up mutants." said one guard who was standing on a table. This guard was wearing different clothing so Streak guessed he must be one of the head guards. "It's not beneficial to you to die over just one mutant. You all have many skills that would prove useful in the future. Why do you resist us when you could just do as you're told and pas the time usefully?" he continued.
Shawn had been knocked down again, and when the guard spoke all the other guards backed off let Streak hear what he had to say. Shawn stood up breathing hard, clutching the baton and his jaw, ribs, and chest. Shawn didn't reply to his question instead he shifted his glance between the guard speaking, Raina, and the other guards around him.

Now that the guards had finally taken notice of Nathan, they began to initiate attacks against him. He had already managed to take out two guards but there was more than enough to go around. He he began to lash out at the nearest guard when another guard, who had snuck up behind him, threw his arms under Nathan's armpits and quickly clasped his hands together.
He heard, "Man y'all never play fair" from somewhere close by. "No joke" he thought as a guard began take advantage of his vulnerable position by punching him in the stomach. "But then I don't suppose it would be as much fun if this were fair," he thought.
The guard that was beating him up was having a fun time with it and it didn't seem like he would stop soon. But after what seemed an eternity the guard finally did make a mistake. He stopped. Nathan had fought pain all his life and he wasn't about to let this guard get the best of him. As soon as the guard was finished and backed away Nathan took advantage. He quickly judged the distance and lashed out with his foot, in between the guards legs.
As soon as the guard fell crumpled he reached behind him and gabbed a hold of the neck of the guard holding him. When he had done that he immediately threw his upper body forward so that he was bent at the waist. All the while tugging at the guards neck. The result was the guard behind him landing on the one he had kicked.
Immediately after he had done that, he noticed that the guards had stopped rushing him. A man who seemed to be incharge stood on a table and said "Give up mutants. It's not beneficial to you to die over just one mutant. You all have many skills that would prove useful in the future. Why do you resist us when you could just do as you're told and pass the time usefully?"
As the guard finished speaking, Nathan had located the man of silver and saw that he was scanning the crowd while he was weighing his decision in his mind. Seeing that the man of silver was at a loss he decided to atleast put his two cents in.
"Why don't you take this damn bracelet of me so that I can be useful right now, huh?" said Nathan sarcastically. As everyone's eyes turned to focus on him a nearby guard struck him with his baton across his shoulders. Nathan was caught by suprise and forced to his knees. "I hope these mutants I helped have a plan atleast," he thought before he was struck again on the base of the neck. "But would it really matter if they did?" he finished thinking.

Raina went flying to the side as the remote was knocked out of the guards hand and crashed to the floor. Everything was a haze for a little while as everyone fought and she tasted salty blood in her mouth. She lay on the ground waiting for her head to stop hurting.
The collar stopped buzzing and she figured the remote broke on impact. Maybe her collar was temporary disabled? She coudln't be sure.
Another guard went sailing into the table above Raina and a bowl of water came crashing down to the floor. A puddle of water seeped along the cracks of the concrete floor and hit Raina's bare legs.
She pulled herself to a sitting up postion and stared down in horror as the skin on her legs began to bubble and writhe of it's own accord. She forgot about the fighting raging around her as she began to tremble. Her legs began to twist as if broken and the popping sound of her shifting bones filled the air. "Not now, not now." she thought.
"What the hell?" the guard who had hit the table was now standing over Raina watching in horror and desgust and her legs twisted and mishapened. She bit down on her teeth and closed her eyes in pain as little scales crawled across her thighs. Her legs began to melt together and her skin turned a greenish gray. Her feet feathered into two long fins and tiny barbs danced across her hips.
No reaction from her collar. All was suddenly silent for a moment as the guard stared in shock at Raina. She opened her eyes that were now almond shaped and a piercing green. She growled low in her throat with no reaction from the collar and the guard standing over her took a step back in hesitation. Her body had shifted in mutation from the water and instead of two long legs she had a fishy snake like tail. It wriggled on the damp floor and with another low growl the tail shot out and wrapped around the closest guard. Raina let out an animalistic yet so beautiful growl as she started to squeeze the guard. She gave an almost evil smile.
She seemed lost in the moment and her features were other worldly. She wrapped tighter around the guard and was enjoying herself until the slits on her throat started to widen and she rememberd she cooudln't breathe. Her eyes went wide. She threw the guard across the room with her tail and pulled herself up on her arms. She no longer looked in power as sh gasped for air. "I need to dry off!" she pleaded to anyone who would listen.

Shawn was considering his options and thinking about what the head guard had said when he saw a guard knock over a bowl of water and it splashed on Raina's legs. "What the hell?" Shawn heard the guard say and he looked at what the guard was looking at.
Shawn saw as Raina's legs became twisted and mishapened. He saw he clench her teeth together in pain as the change took place. All Streak could do was watch in horror. He didn't know what to do. He saw the fins grow barbs and and become deadly. 'That could be pretty useful.' Streak thought. He continued to watch as Raina wrapped her tail around the guards' neck and start to strangle him. She then threw the guard across the room and Streak heard her whisper in a hoarse voice; like she was running out of air, "I need to dry off!"
Streak stood there puzzled for a minute about what she could mean and what had just happened right in front of his eyes. It was noting he had ever seen before. Finally, what Raina said had connected with him. He quickly pulled a tablecloth off one of the nearest tables and quickly started to dry her off. He started with her legs, since they were the most changed, and worked his way up.
She seemed to be calming down as he continued to dry her off. He rubbed her head, neck and arms until he couldn't thought he could do no better. Streak laid the tablecloth on the ground next to her. He remained crouched down and kept his eyes on her to make sure he had dried her off well enough.

The slits on her neck were now full blown gills that flapped open and closed frantically as Raina tried to breathe. Streak was amazing and got her dried off in a few moments but just as painfully as she had changed she started to revert.
When her legs were back to normal they felt rather feeble and she leaned up on Streak for support breathing in the air. "I think my collar malfunctioned." she said noting there was no shock. "It won't take them long to find out." Once she pulled herself into a standing position she leaned on Streak again and looked at him with thankful eyes. "Thank-you. I'm sorry. I'll explain once we get out of this." she looked at Acer and the other young man who had gotten involved. She let out a loud wistle to try and get their attention. "We gotta get outta here before they beat you to a pulp." she looked to streak. "I'm going to try and use my powers to confuse the guards and hopefully make them fall. If we can get the guys to join us we can get out in the yard. There are more mutants out there we'll be able to blend in. They never spend that much time looking at us. They'll have no choice but to let the whole thing blow over. "
She stood as tall as she could, took in a deep breath and let out a beautiful high shrill note. It hung in the air transfixing all who heard. The guards looked up to see where it was coming from and didn't notice the ice that was creeping around them, sealing their feet to the concrete floor.
Raina cut the note off "NOW"

Nathan was in short, was getting the hell beat out of him. "This has nothing on two a days," he thought to himself. That wasn't the case but he figured if he could convince himself of that fact then the beating would seem like it was less.
The guards were so focused on Nathan's punishment that they weren't able to notice the girl mutant's transformation into a mermaid. But Nathan had noticed. While the beating was taking place Nathan imagined hearing a beautiful voice singing only it held the same note the whole time. After what seemed an eternity the guards finally stopped for some reason that Nathan couldn't figure out. He scrambled away to view the situation. The guards were so astonished that ice was sorounding their feet that they had simply ceased.
As he stood up he realized that he could still hear the voice. He looked around to find the source. It was the girl that had transformed into a mermaid. She cut the note off with a yell, "Now". After she had whistled, Nathan quickly made his way over to the mermaid girl and the man of silver.
"I really hope they have a plan," he thought to himself.

Shawn was glad when she started to change back to normal. He leaned close to her so that the guards wouldn't see her talking and figure out that her collar was broken. He helped her up and held his arm around her to make sure she didn't fall back down. He looked at the other two mutnats and hoped they were ready to run.
When Raina started singing, Streak was momentarily mesmerized by her singing. He had forgotten what she had sang like before she got here. The last time he heard her sing was when they were dealing with a mutant that had turned against them at the mansion and they had to her. He quickly regained his wits and was ready to run. When Raina quit singing and yelled "Now." one of the other mutants that was getting beat up also showed up at their side.
"Run." Streak immediately said to him, "grab Acer, the other mutant, and lets get out of here." He kept his arm around Raina ready to scoop her up and carrier just in case she wasn't strong enough to keep up with their pace. Streak held onto her and led the way out to the yard where they could blend in with the other mutants.
That was a lot easier said than done for him. He was probably the only mutant currently that was like a giant mirror reflected the sun.

Raina saw some mutants head in her direction. "Let's go! Outside!" she tried her best to run on her feeble legs but found herself falling constantly. She checked behind her and saw that the guards were starting to figure out they were running but soon discovered they were frozen to the ground. Cursing ensued as Raina's eyes searched for Acer in the crowd. Where was that kid?
OOC: sorry been dealing with some medical issues but Im better now, just glad to get back in the game:
IC: Acer drew back and stayed silent as the riot formed around him he knew better than to get envoledin a riot this earlly not without getting the information that he needed. Well the riot continued until another high class gaurd stood on a table and gave a futile speesch. But Acer knew him from somewhere, but where but before he could solve that riddle he was desracted by what he could only describe as a mermade apear infront of him and just as quick he saw the creature reform into raina. A soft melody came to his ears a liltle later but it didnt register in his mind as such, for he had just relized where he seen that gaurd from, he reminbered seeing him in the big gorilia gaurd man's mereory, that gorilia and that high class gaurd were both mutants. No they were mutants now there sell outs, sell out that allowed poor mutants suffer. The thought that some mutants were hiding out as humans made his blood boil. Just then he was grabed by a strange mutant and was being forced out the door. the music stop..................
"HELL NO let me go let me kill them " Acer exploded in rage at that thought of such cowerdice that it honestly through him for a loop." stop ...hic.... no....hic.....stop..." he said as his rage filled him, but it was too late sunlight blinded him before he had a chance at the mutant in human clotheing, but now he knew, now he knew.

The sun was beating down and blinded Raina at first as they exploded out of the door and into the excersise yard where the majority of mutants were gathered because of the weather. It took Raina a moment to adjust. It was spring. That's right. They'd been here since fall. since before her birthday. She shook her head a little and when she was sure they weren't being followed she leaned on Streak again for a little support and turned to the other two with her eye brows furrowed.
"Listen" she growled trying to calm herself down and come off a little kinder than she felt. Raina wasn't the mean type but she was really urked. "If you want to survive here, you blend in. Don't go looking for trouble. Don't go trying to be a hero when the guards get like that because it's not just you're life your putting in jeoprody. And you may not care what happens to you but if you stand up to the guards they're going to take it out on anyone near by. " She was shaking she was so mad. She knew they were both young and angry about being in the camps but if anyone was going to survive they have to work together.
"And another thing!-" it was then that she felt her collar kick in. She rolled her eyes and put her hands on her hips. Looks like that was all she was going to get in. She looked to Streak for a little support.

It was a nice day outside. Spring had finally come and that could only mean one thing. They had been there long enough for his birthday to pass. This was his first chance he'd had to be outside in a long time. He listened to Raina talking and trying to calm herself down.
"She's right." Streak said agreeing with Raina. "Now before you go off on me or her just listen. I know that it seemed like I may have started the fight," Streak continued a little hurriedly because he was afraid he might get cut off with an argument. "However, these guards get bored very easily with us now becuase they've figured out that the ones who've been here the longest are the strongest and can survive anything, so they don't bother to torture us for the most part."
"The reason the fight started was because they saw us," he motioned to Raina, himself and Acer, "talking and knew we are tough and your new." he said pointing to Acer. "That's why the fight stated. I simply obliged them."
"Now, i know y'all probably think I'm crazy for doing that but y'all have to admit it did feel good getting back at them."
"If you draw attention to your self then the guards will take a particular interest in you and they wont leave you alone for quite some time. Hell, they just recently started to leave me alone, 'cause as Acer pointed out I look like I could fetch a pretty hefty sum at a recycling plant." Streak smiled a little rubbed his wounds and continued. "These guards look for someone seeking attention and I kind of stuck out today in the cafeteria." Streak finished and hoped he covered everything Raina wanted to cover. Now he waited for the others to get their arguing and berating of him for his actions back there.

As soon as the man of silver finished speaking Nathan grabbed the little boy who was also a mutant and followed the pair of them outside. The sun's brightness immediately caused him to squint his eyes.
It was so warm outside. It felt nice. This elation was ruined when the mermaid girl began to berate him for his foolish actions. He knew that they were foolish, but that didn't stop him did it? He was suprised when she was cut short. He assumed that her collar became active once again. "That means her powers are connected with her voice somehow," he thought. He wasn't suprised, after all he had just witnessed the guards' feet turning into ice sculptures.
Then the man of silver seemed to pick up where she left off. When he was finished Nathan spoke.
"Maybe you should take your own advice and use some caution, huh? I don't take it well when people scold me for doing something foolish. Especially when they are the reason for me being foolish," he said seriously his face and tone grim. After that he couldn't keep straight face any longer. His mouth turned into a sly grin. "Well anyways, I was just glad to help out. We haven't been formally introduced, but I'm Nathan. I assume that you have names other than Ariel and the Tin Man. And kid," he aimed the last at the young boy.
ic: Nag nag nag...."foolish".....nag nag nag, that all acer heard when the four got outside, it wasnt due to the fact that he was young it was because he was still fursious with himself for getting cold feet when trouble arised. Blah blah blah ....."kid" he heard the srtanger named Nathen say. "who you callin kid pretty boy,....sorry still a liltle, y,know, riled up....but any way names' Acer nice to meet you." he said sticking an arm to shake his hand. "Hey we should keep moving before the gaurds come out. Shortly after Acer noticed that the same Irish gaurd that escorted him to his "warm" welcome was no too far away from the group walking with some other female mutant into a nearby building. (not a bad idea) he thought to himself "hey guys how bout we get inside of building or something, I mean silver dollar hear really wont blend into a crowd, know what Im saying?"

oo: you guys are hilarious, poor streaky, too shiny
ic:
Raina rolled her eyes as both young men tried to defend themselves but had to give a sigh. She had to admit even to herself that it was refreshing to have a little spirit here at the camps... but she'd seen what they did to spirit. She felt it herself. she was thankful for Streak's input and sometimes the guys height and overall look made her forget that he was younger too. She was even more thankful when both newbs said their piece but changed subjects. She hoped Streak would explain her name and maybe a bit about her mutation so they'd understand why she coudln't speak... though Michael would help with that one soon enough.
She gave a stretch and nodded when they suggested finding another building to get into. Despite what they just encountered the mood was rather nice outside- a welcome break for everyone- though Streak was so shiny she had to keep her head turned away from him.
She pointed to the barraks thinking they could maybe commune in one of the halls or common rooms.

Streak smirked at the other mutants comment and told him. "Ya, I know what I did back there is pretty hypocritical of my advice but its true." Streak said after they were finished. "The names Silver Streak. Streak for short. And this is Raina. Her power comes from her voice as y'all might have guessed from the ice around the guards feet back there." Streak smiled at Acer's snide joke and said, "I agree with Acer. Let's get somewhere where I don't stick out so bad. Where'd you have in mind Acer?" Streak asked him looking around.
He looked at Raina to see where she was pointing and saw the barracks. "Lets go over there in the barracks. What'd y'all think?" He started walking over there quickly. He skimmed from tree to tree and bush to bush. The main reason he did this was because as everyone so tactfully pointed out he was very shiny and stuck out like a mirror. If only I could get this bracelet off, then I could blend in much easier. Streak thought still edging closer and closer to the barracks and hiding as much as he could. He looked back to see if they were following him towards the barracks.
