Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

MRO is an intermediate to advanced writing level original character, original plot X-Men RPG. We've been open and active since October of 2005. You can play as a mutant, human, or Adapted— one of the rare humans who nullify mutant powers by their very existence. Goodies, baddies, and neutrals are all welcome.

Arrival
The Run Around
After moving to NYC on a travel visa hell bent on finding her brother and seeing if there's a connection between him and the rising rates of MIA kids in NYC, Lumen fleshes out a running routine meeting a very spunky news reporter....
Illuminating
After being in NY a few days Lumen meets up with her NYPD contact, Detective Jorge. He's the man they sent to scope her out as a consultant on the Unicorn Man/MIA Kids/M case. Lumen passes the test with flying colours securing herself a place in the long line up of people wanting to solve this case.
Around Again
Lumen makes a helpful contact in Tasean- someone who may be able to help her reintegrate the missing kids and teens back with their families and into society. A special bond may have been formed in the realization that they are both light manipulators.

Settling In

While out running Lumen meets Paul. The two size each other up and agree to breakfast where they get to know each other a little better.

While finishing up a job Lumen happens to me in the wrong place at the wrong time when a mutant comes falling from the sky only to crash into the car next to her...
