The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Omen nodded and gulped down the rest of her beer, slamming ten bucks on the table her her bottle as well as Shade's.
She grinned back at the bartender. "Thanks hun." She blew him a kiss, smirking in turn at the men who had attacked her earlier. They all glared as she left.
Outside she turned to shade. "I rode here." she pointed to her bike. "Should I give us a lift elsewhere?"
Shade followed Omen outside. A light overhead allowed him to stay visible. Laughing at her comment, Shade shook his head.
"No, I'll be fine. I travel faster anyway. Nice bike by the way." Shade moved closer to inspect the motorcycle, however, making sure to stay in enough light.
Omen shook her head. "I really just got back into the city. I was staying at the sanctuary but um...it seems to not be as hospitable at the moment." She laughed to herself.
"And there is some place I would like to go, except I don't know where that place is." she realized she was talking in riddles and laughed because the reality was a riddle.
Shade turned to Omen as she spoke. The light overhead pierced deeper into the blackness beneath his hood but his eyes remained hidden. She almost seemed to be a little loppy. However, Shade doubted it was because of the beers.
"And what exactly is this place called?" Shade asked taking a step closer to her.
"it's called wherever Syn is. And I don't mean a group of sacrilegious people. Syn is the name of a friend of mine. I'm trying to find her but I don't really know where to look. It's alot harder to find mutants these days. And she's not the type to be taken without a fight so I can't even imagine where the registration act has landed her." Omen shrugged.
"I don't wanna concern you with that, though. You pick the place, outside of finding my friend I don't have much of an aim. Also, I haven't lived here very long. I'm from florida."
"Well, I don't know where Syn is, but I do know someone who could get you in touch with her." He withdrew his phone from his pocket and tossed it to his companion.
"It's under the name Lisa. I understand she is the secretary for the Sanctuary."
Omen caught the phone and looked down at it, taking the number from it and putting it on her own cell. "I remember her, vaguely."
Omen gave Shade his phone back and dialed Lisa. "Hello?" Omen answered. "Lisa? Yeah, I'm Omen, I was at the sanctuary for a while, I'm a friend of Syn....yes I know I was never listed, I was only there for a few days...I met Syn there." Omen seemed to be getting irritated. "Listen, where is Syn?...What do you mean you can't tell me?" she paused when Lisa asked her where she got the number from. She didn't know how Shade knew all of them but she didn't want him to get in trouble. "Tell Syn I'm looking for her and give her this number, please!" she hung up angrily.
The anger soon washed from her face as she laughed and leaned against the bike. "I hate middlemen." she joked casually. "Thanks, though."
Omen laughed. "Um...you could say that." was all she chose to say.
"What about you? Did you live at the Sanctuary? are you in the order?"
She dug into an inside pocket in her jacket until she pulled out a pack of cigarettes. She lit one for herself and held out the pack to Shade as an offering.
Omen nodded and flipped the box closed, putting it back in her pocket. "And you shouldn't smoke, it's horrible for you." she laughed.
"A recruit, huh? Well I respect the order. I don't like being pushed around, good for them to stand up for the mutants, you know? So what are you up to now? What does a recruit even do?" she spoke with the cigarette hanging dangerously from her full lips.
Shade nodded as Omen talk about the Order. He wasn't one to become side-shop entertainment or an experimental genini pig .
"I was told to gather information from the outside to relay to to Lisa. Although, you seem to be the only thing I've found yet." Shade said as he watched the dance of the cigarette across Omen's lips.
Omen laughed. "Me, really? I would think I was a bad source of information. I don't know much. But I'm here to help whenever Syn needs me to." she nodded.
"I wish you luck," she rattled off her number. "In case you need to find me. I don't know where I'll end up in the next few days. Everyone is so eager to rent a room out to a pretty blue skinned woman." she quipped.
Shade laughed at her comment. He had had a hard time looking for a place to stay also. Being from Chicago, Shade had to look for a place to stay after his visit to the Sanctuary proved to be a dead end. He had found a respectable place.
"I've got a place. It ain't much but no one will have a problem with your appearance if you want to check it out."
