The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

As the sidewalks of New York City bustled with a multitude of citizens, a young man sped walked in the direction of the busiest area. He walked with a duffel bag at his side and he walked with a sense of ambiguity. The thought of his motive swerved in his conscious.
As he reached the large stone building, he pulled out a set of pitch black shades from beneath his zip-up hoody and placed it over his eyes. He then pulled his hood over his colored hair and cautiously walked up the steps to the building. As he entered the slide open doors, he rotated his head in several directions, observing the numerous cameras strategically placed.
"I've gotta be crazy..." He whispered to himself as he sighed. He looked ahead at the bank attendant and thought. "No, I need... the money."
In a matter of instances he set his duffel bag close to his thigh, then picking it up as he walked even further.
The security guard watched closely as the hooded man entered the building, he looked as though he was just another junky or teenager that might cause a little trouble, but nothing to serious, he kept his hand on his pepper spray for just in case something happened
A mother stood with her child in the middle of one of the lines, they were waiting to pick up their check and head home to their father who just got off work, they were going to go camping for the weekend and bond as a family, her husband worked as an army soldier and had just gotten back from servicing his country, so this was going to be a good chance for them to get back to being a happy family, she had hardly noticed the man walk in as she was too distracted by the joy that was coursing through her
One of the bank tellers was sorting money into the deposit boxes below her counter, as the man walked in, she noticed him but didn't pay much mind as she was dealing with a confused customer that just wasn't seeming to understand how to open a savings account no matter how many times she tried to explain it to him

Sweeney continued walking with his head down before he had reached the middle of the room, he stretched his hands out and in the blink of an eye, psychic strings had attached themselves to the cop who stood nearby, while controlling his arms he shot out the nearby cameras and then forced the cop to shoot himself, he then immediatly pulled what looked like a small ball but after the push of a button it expanded to a giant 7'1 in radius and 3'1 in height spider mounted with a tommy gun, he then started firing, killing several people before approaching the teller and saying "Either hand over the money or prepare for a very slow and painful death"
In the back of his mind he wasn't to fond of killing but he knew that if he didn't get this money he would be evicted from his apartment and thats the last thing that he wanted to happen
The guard was awestruck one minute he was standing there the next something had overtaken his body and forced him to shoot out the cameras before finally shooting himself, as he lay in a pool of his own blood the last view he got was that of the many people dying around him, the cries of terror from the children and the fright that had possessed the grown men and women as they stood there, scared for their lives
The woman couldn't believe it, she was just waiting in line when a mere moment later people were dead all around her, the guard that was across the way killed himself for some reason after shooting out the cameras, he lay dead on the floor and with that went there only hope, as those that had tried to run were instantly gunned down by the mobile turret that stood in front of them, she quaked in fear at the thought of losing her children now, now that their family was finally whole again, now that they could at last be happy
The bank teller, immediatly dropped to the floor the moment she heard a shot fire, the man previously bewildered at the complexities of modern banking now lay dead, riddled with bullets, she was quaking with terror as she slammed her hand on the silent alarm button under the desk, the sadistic man was mere feet away from her as she quivered under the desk, hopefully he wouldn't notice her

Sweeney began to become overtaken in a sadistic mindset and started laughing. He didn't know why, and he surely didn't enjoy doing what he did, but there was some hidden...thing... that allowed to feel the bitter joy he did. As he approached the bank teller's desk, he could hear the silent cries of the woman that lay hidden below. He set his duffel bag once again and lowered his shades.
"Hurry up, I wont ask you again!" Sweeney felt discomfort as the teller remained hidden. "Hurry!"
Throwing the bag onto the counter, his spider crawled over the desk and directed its tommy gun at the scared human. Sweeney looked at the clock and paranoia started to settle in. He felt the sweat begin to run the sides of his face. Still, no response.
"...I won't ask you AGAIN, just put the money in the bag!" The tommy gun fired a stream of bullets once more, puncturing the area around the teller. The sounds of gunfire was terrifying and the echoes of shots bolted around the crimson painted room.
The bank teller was frozen with terror as the gun loomed dangerously close to her head, the fear managed to subside long enough for her to grab the money from the register and fill the bag as quickly as she could, her hands shaking as she was doing so, but she knew that if she let on anymore fear she would surely die this day
The women held her children close to her, she couldn't let the fear overtake her, she had to be strong for her children, her mind flooding with thoughts of the past and future, what could have been, tears began to silently stream down her cheek as she gripped her children closer, she began a silent prayer hoping to just last another day, to just see him one more time
Zero was walking by the bank, hoping to get some money from his account to by some new equipment, as he looked into the sky, the unobstructed sun shown brightly through the clear blue background, all was calm, until he heard the discharge of bullets from a few yards away, he dashed to the location to see what was going on, if only to know

Sweeney gazed at the young woman as she steadily paced herself at placing the funds into the duffel bag. A slight urge caused his spine to tickle, but he could wait. He saw the teller take a glance at him and he retaliated by slamming his hand on the table.
When the teller was finished filling the bag, she pushed herself away from the desk. The urge in Sweeney grew stronger and he decided to let it go. The spider locked its head next to the woman and fired. A shot of crimson blood shot its way out of her head as Sweeney turned around, his puppet following close behind.
"Okay, I think we're done here." He said to himself as he moved his finger slightly, the puppet's head moving to look at its master. On the other side of the room Sweeney could hear another woman crying, the sound of her bawling screeching within his head.
"You! Stop! I swear!" He grabbed a clump of his hair and began to pull. "Agh!!!"
The woman continued to cry as she held her children. Sweeney couldn't really tell who the woman was, what she was trying to do, but he could care less. The annoying sounds she was making irritated him. The spider paced itself in front of her and when it faced her, she opened her eyes, the gun staring at her eyes.
The woman looked eerily into the barrel of the gun mounted before, as if looking into the abyss of her life, she tried to halt the tears but they wouldn't stop, all she could think about was his face, his touch, his voice, it was echoing through her soul as she touched her children for what she knew was the last time as she sat before the abyss that was calling for her, the silent prayer then finished in her head, she was prepared for her fate, despite the risks she turned away from the barrel and kissed her children for the last time, whispering in their ears to be strong and finally that she loved them
Zero approached the bank window slowly, he peered through the glass, and witnessed something he was far to used to, dead bodies strown over the floor, the ground stained with the blood of the innocent, a woman crouching in front of her children, the ultimate martyr, he watched all of this and noticed the devil in this circus of hell, a wild haired man atop a spider, a mounted gun near him
Wow, this man truly has no conscious, yet I wish to see what happens next, I want to see how this demented fairy tale will come to a close, and perhaps Rapture would be interested in this young boy as well, truly a fascinating individual
He began to ponder the possibility of recruiting the boy and presenting him before Rapture, but even more so he was wondering how he operated the weird contraption below him, as it hand no knobs or switches, no wheel or anything of the sort

The sounds of bullets streaming into the mind of the woman rung throughout the room as Sweeney stared at her and her children. Blood blasted from her skull onto the wall behind her, her lifeless body falling to the ground next to her children.
"Oh... no..." He said to himself, but shook it off. No time for guilt, if he had taken more than he can chew, he wouldn't show it now. He bent down next to her body, looked at the children, and took the woman's purse. He didn't care about the contents, all he wanted to know was who she was. Any form of identification.
The sounds of sirens began to enter the mind of Sweeney. It wasn't just that though, they were getting louder and he began to panic a little.
"Trouble..."
Sweeney rose from his spot and hopped onto his puppet once again. If he had to make a decision, he would have to do it now, and he had to make sure that he wouldn't be identified later.
"The children!" Sweeney rotated his contraption into the direction of the children from a few yards away. He would do everything to escape, it's no longer his choice.
Zero watched as bullets sped through the womens head and she fell to the floor, body destroyed by the spray of bullets that ripped through her, at that point he knew this man had truly no form of morality whatsoever, he was perfect for what they needed and it was going to be Zero's job to get this man interested, which he knew by watching him work would be no easy task
Police cars then immediatly zoomed in front of the building, there was 3 all together and 6 police officers, 3 stayed outside while three busted into the building guns drawn, the first thing that caught their eye was two crying children weeping violently over the remains of what looked like a women, but it was so destroyed and riddled with bullets that it was hard to tell what it was, they then pointed there guns in unison at the killer, a dark haired man on what looked like a giant spider
PUT YOUR HANDS IN THE AIR AND DEMOUNT THE SPIDER IMMEDIATELY, WE WILL USE LETHAL FORCE IF YOU DO NOT IMMEDIATELY COMPLY

Go ahead, use your guns...
Sweeney's mind repeated the thought numerous times. The large spider fell to the ground as Sweeney stepped off. He stepped forward with his hands in the air, the police unsuspecting his true intentions. Strings released themselves onto two of the police who in turn shot themselves immediately, and as the third raised his gun, the strings detached from the other two cops onto the one forcing him to stand at a standstill.
"You wanna try me again...?" Sweeney said as he approached the man. "Go ahead, do it."
Sweeney watched as the man stood motionless, the struggle taking hold. Sweeney didn't want to play games though. Time was of the essence, and he needed to act fast. How would he enjoy himself... The children? Yes, those little runts that cried over their poor mother's body, hands in blood. He forced the man to walk over to the children, his gun pointed at them. He could feel the man's resistance getting stronger, but not enough for restrain the shots released.
The sounds of the children were silenced as the man turned the gun on himself, firing a blast of blood from the back of his head onto the ceiling. Sweeney walked over to the cop and began kicking his body, a sudden rage taking over. He mounted on top of his spider and relaxed his body, calming thoughts rushing into his mind. The spider rose to its legs and hopped to the front door. Sweeney peeked outside and saw the cops and decided to prepare. He dismounted the spider as it rose to it's back four legs, it's body becoming a shield. It's head looked towards the cops and he walked out.
Zero stepped to the side as the psychopath came out of the bank with a large spideresq shield in front of him, Zero watched as more police officers drove to the building and opened fire at the puppet master, the bullets however deflecting of the shield in front of him, moment by moment Zero desired him to be in the group more, but now was definatly not the time try and recruit him, Zero simply stood around the corner and continued observing what was going on
The police chief was sitting behind his car watching this unfold as several officers lay dead in the bank and a swarm of cops now wasting ammo on a shielded opponent, in all his years as chief he had never seen anything like this before and was unsure about what to do, but he let his cops continues shooting, and hoped that something would happen

The rapid fire of bullets started to lead out at the police and their vehicles through his turret like spider. The banging of bullets sounded as they hit his shield. His bullets pierced police cars and punctured the bodies of the officers. Blood sprayed onto the vehicles and the bodies lay motionless.
When all of the police were slain, the spider lowered back onto it's legs, Sweeney hopping back onto it. As he prepared to leave he saw a man, someone who wasn't showing any fear in this situation. Something told Sweeney not to try and attack him. Plus, the time to escape was now. Who knows how long it would be before reinforcements would arrive.
Sweeney tugged his fingers in several different motions, the spider rotating it's body and leaped in front of the man, then leaping again onto several rising rooftops. He was then hopping from building to building, heading towards Central Park, which would then lead to his apartment...
In a flurry of bullets, flying bodies and screams of pain, everything was finished all that remained was the police chief who was obviously calling in reinforcements, the crazy man who was oh so badly needed to be recruited and Zero who the criminal just looked at before he left, the psycho took off down the street, most likely heading back to his house or base to dodge out the police officers
There's no way I can let a catch like that just breeze by me, I better tail him and figure out where he's off to, once there I can see if he has what it takes to join Rapture Inc and if lucks on my side then I'll get a new teammate
He thought this to himself as he took off down the street following the sociopath, being extremely careful not to be seen

Hopping from building to building, Sweeney's sense of safety overcame. He no longer heard the police sirens, nor did he see the man behind him. The scent of splattered blood was spilled over his hoody though, forcing him to remove it as it hopped onto the street. He wrapped the hoody around his waist and continued forward, just passing by central park.
"We're almost there." He whispered to himself. The sight of a man on a spider seemed to frighten nearby civilians, so he once again decided to traverse atop rooftops.
Something didn't feel right though, there was something behind him, guilt? No, not an emotion of any kind, a being...
"I don't know what's happening, but I'm not getting caught..."
The spider launched itself from a rooftop onto the ground near downgoing steps that led to the subway, the pounding and magnitude of the landing creating a loud thumping sound. People nearby either stood in shock and amazement or ran away in fear, it didn't matter. He then hopped over the fence onto the steps and forced his way to the subway.
