The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Vincent couldn’t help but laugh at Jade’s antics along with that of her mothers. Following Jade into the kitchen he picked up a cookie and took a bite. “Mmm, these are good, best I’ve tasted.”
He wasn’t kidding, they really were. He wondered if Jade knew the recipe, because if she did he would defiantly have to get her these back on the island.
Vincent smiled at Jade at the mention of fattening him up. She had told him so. However, he wasn’t ready for what came next. At the sex comment he practically choked on the cookie.
Coughing a spluttering slightly he could only manage a weak smile. That had come way out of left field and caught him completely by surprise. He’d never expected a parent to be so forward about their children’s sex lives, his certainly weren’t.
"Mother!" Jade exclaimed indignantly, shrinking in her chair.
Pearl rolled her eyes, crossing her arms over her chest. "Oh for the love of pete. Its not a big deal, I just want my future grandkids to be healthy that is all. Besides I could have been alot worst than that or alot more in detail but I will save you from that Indignanty youngins."
Jade leaned up against Vincent, obviously not having an easy time staying up after that little experience. She kissed him on the cheek gently, nuzzling her head into his neck with a small bark.
Pearl smiled at the two, glad that they where so close and happy. "Oh you two are so adorable."
Finaly regaining some form of composure Vincent managed a smile. “Well, we appreciate the concern for my health Pearl, but I’ve always been a bit on the scrawny side, despite my mother’s repeated attempts to fatten me up.”
Vincent put an arm around Jade as she nuzzled his neck, hugging her to him as he finished off the rest of his cookie without incident. The little bark she gave only made him smile all the more, he loved her husky side.
Jade stayed securely in his arms, tail wagging back and forth happily. She grinned softly as she looked up at her mother, the same grin still on her face.
"You really love him dont you Jade? He makes you feel all warm and safe doesnt he?" Pearl asked her daughter with a soft smile.
Jade nodded finishing off her cookie. She swallowed and kissed Vincent on the cheek gently, her tail wagging still. "More than anything else in the world." She responded
Pearl smiled at the two lovebirds. "Good then if you ever decide to get hitched as long as you invite me I give you my blessings. Same thing about kids, you ever have kids you have to let me stay in contact."
“Of course,” said Vincent with a warm smile, “We wouldn’t dream of getting married without you, or keeping our kids from their grandmother.” He was so happy that Pearl approved, as relationships are always easier if the parents approve.
He began to wonder how his mother would react. She had always wanted him to find a girl who he loved, and he had. He was sure that she’d be happy for him and take a liking to his husky girl.
Jade smiled, tail wagging back and forth happily. She wiggled in Vincent's grasp, grinning like a loon.
"Oh Im so happy for you two! I should do something...I know!" Pearl toddled out of her chair and into the other room she came back with a large grin on her face. She handed Jade and Vincent a bandana, one being dark green and one being a light brown. Both had a peace sign on them.
Jade looked at them her mouth dropping open. "Mom! These where the bandana's you got when you were in the Gem Clan! With Grandma and Grandpa and the rest of the Morrian family!Back in the sixties!"
Pearl nodded. "Yep, the ones that I said I would give to you when you found your true love. I never got a chance to wear them with...well you know why. But I think its about time you should have them."
Jade looked over at Vincent before explaining. " Oh and Vincent the gem clan was a big group of people who believed that alien's existed and camped out in Roswell. They also believed that if they named thier kids after gems that they would meet thier higher calling in life."
Jade tied the bandana around the top of her head like a headband. "Thank you so much mom!"
Vincent felt honoured to be given what was essentially a family heirloom. Listening to the story behind it he felt a pang of sadness for Pearl, never getting to wear them herself. “Thank you Pearl, I’ll treasure it always.”
He tied the bandana around his head like Jade had done. “The gem clan huh? So that explains your names then. It’s a nice tradition, and one I think we should continue.”
After all, gems all had beautiful names to go with the beauty of the stone, so why not give their children the same names. If it helped them meet their higher calling, then so much the better.
Jade nodded eagerilly, wrapping her arms around Vincent's neck. SHe had always thought of that tradition to be one of the coolest.
"It may be hard vincey if we have a boy though. The only gem name for a boy I can think of Is Garnet and perdiot. Hmmm....looks like we will have to make sure we have girls then." Jade pondered with a smile.
Pearl looked over at Vincent. "Hey Vince what are you gonna do if you have all girls? I have a feeling you may be an overprotective father."
“I’m sure we can come up with something if we have boys,” said Vincent with a smile as he gave Jade a quick kiss. He chuckled a little at Pearl’s comment, “You know, I can see myself as an over protective father. Any guy coming round to pick up my daughter will be greeted by a suitable intimidating robot.”
The image or a large, scary robot answering the door to any boy who came round made him laugh all the more. He was beginning to think that he was really going to enjoy this parenting lark.
Jade laughed with him, imagining a very intimidating robot scaring off a bunch of boys who came to thier front door. She also imagined Vincent spoiling thier daughters with little robot toys and playable objects.
"Aww thats so cute imagining that! So adorable and sweet! I can just see you spoiling them to death!" Jade grinned
((they will say goodbye right after you respond to Jade's acusation of Vincent spoiling them))
“What makes you think I’d spoil them?” Vincent said, trying to look insulted despite the big grin on his face, “Just because they’ll have more robot toys than they know what to do with doesn’t mean I’ll spoil them.”
Of course Jade had hit it dead on, he would spoil them and they both knew it. But, he’d also know when to put his foot down on certain subjects. Besides, he had a feeling Jade could keep their kids in line with a quick bark.
"You will too spoil them!" Jade exclaimed, tail lashing back and forth.
***************
Jade smiled as she hugged her mother goodbye. "I promise I will Visit." Jade said softly before she got into the jet. Pearl then hugged vincent tightly.
"YOu better come and visit! And Vincent Take care of my baby, she is the only one I got."
“Don’t worry Pearl, I’ll take good care of her, I promise,” he said as he hugged her. Waving good bye the pair of them made for the jet. On arrival Vincent hoped into the pilot’s seat and ran the pre-flight checks.
However, he got a bank of red lights. Something was seriously wrong with the jet. “Sorry honey, but something’s wrong, I’m getting red lights all over the place. I’m going to need to have a look at this thing’s innards.”
Grabbing his tools he got back out and began unscrewing a panel on the jet’s side. He hoped it was just a wiring problem, as he didn’t have toe parts to deal with anything bigger.
