The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Sapphire nodded and Emerald nodded but hestiantly so. Sapphire noticed this and patted her younger sisters hand reasuringly. THis was pratically an event because Sapphire seldom did anything to reasure Emerald, she usually let her take care of things on her own.
Emerald got up from her seat following after Sapphire who followed after her grandmother.
Vincent watched Emerald and Sapphire head into the kitchen, Emerald somewhat reluctantly. Sapphire’s comforting gesture made Vincent smile, it was good to see her watching out for her little sister.
In the kitchen Vincent’s mother quickly gathered a few things together. “Sapphire, I want you to beat the eggs,” she instructed handing Sapphire the bowl of eggs and a whisk. “Now Emerald, I want you to sieve the flour.”
She pulled a chair up to the side so that Emerald could reach and placed a bowl, sieve and bag of flour in front of her before stepping back to watch the pair of them and see what they were like.
Sapphire broke the eggs carefully, opening each one with persicion and acuracy. She made sure to not get any egg shell into the bowl as she began to whisk it.
Emerald on the other hand was attempting to open the bag of flower. She growled at it and dug her sharp fangs into the top of the bag, ripping it open. She grinned wolfishly as she began to sieve through the flour.
Vincent’s mother was very impressed with Sapphire’s care and accuracy, and noted that not a single piece of egg shell was in the bowl no a single drop of egg outside it. Emeralds aggressive manner in opening the flour concerned her a little, but she decided not to mention it to Vincent as it could easily be explained as being tired from the trip.
“Emerald dear,” she said with an added layer of sweetness to her voice that made it just too sickly, “Try and be a little more like your older sister, more haste less speed after all.” She gave a smile to match the tone of voice.
Emerald nodded slowly, sifting through the flour alot more carefully. Now there was one thing Emmy hated and that was being compared to Sapphire she knew her grandmother had just met her so she didn't know. That gave her another chance. If it was her parents she probably would have already thrown a tantrum.
"Yes Grandma." Emerald replied, a small growl escaping her lips.
Sapphire finished the eggs and put them on the table next to the flour. She looked over at her younger sibling curiously.
"Need any help squirt?" Sapphire asked
"No Sapphire I'm fine." Emerald replied, just as she finished up.
Vincent’s mother was a little perturbed by the growl that Emerald emitted, but again, she could just be tired from the trip, so she would reserve judgment. After all, it was he snap judgment of Jade that had almost cost her the chance to meet her grandchildren.
Of course, she still thought the same about Jade as she had the moment she saw the abomination of a tail. The woman was more beast than human. But, Vincent loved her and so she would hold her tongue, for now at least.
On hearing Sapphire refer to Emerald as ‘squirt’ she reflexively scolded, “Sapphire, don’t call your sister names, it’s rude. Right,” she instructed, “now Sapphire I need you to mix the eggs, flour, butter and milk while Emerald you mix the raisins and sultanas.”
She had deliberately give Sapphire the trickier job as Emerald was too brutish t be given a task that might require a more delicate touch.
"I always call her squirt. I have done that since she learned how to use a squirtgun." The older sibling replied.
Sapphire then began to do the task required of her. She did it quite well for a nine year old who never realy cooked before. Sapphire glanced over at her younger sister who was also doing equally well at mixing the rasin's and the sultanas.
Emerald looked down and noticed a sultana popped out of the bowl. She quickly swipped it, chewing and swallowing it while her grandmother was turned away. It tasted kinda funny but it still settled her rumbling belly.
"Done!" Both sister's exclaimed.
Ruby shifted in her father's arms, dark green eyes opening curiously. "Dada? Where sisters?" She asked
She restrained herself from reprimanding Sapphire again. if she was allowed to say it at home then she’d allow it here.
“Well done girls,” she said looking at their work, “I’ll make cooks of you yet. Now Sapphire mix the two together then I’ll place them in cookie shapes on the tray and stick them in the oven to cook.”
Looking at Emerald she paused for a moment before saying, “That will be all for now dear, go and play with your father.”
Out in the living room Vincent gave Ruby a kiss. “Hey there sleepy head, your sister’s are in the kitchen making cookies with grandma.”
Sapphire smirked at her sister as Emerald looked back at her sullenly. Sapphire began to mix the two together, smiling softly.
Emerald stalked out of the room, sitting on the couch next to her father and sister. She pulled her stuffed lion towards her, nuzzling her head into his mane.
Ruby looked over at her sister, green eyes showing concern. She wiggled out of her father grip and sat next to her big sister. "Sissy? what wong?" Ruby asked, tilting her head to the side.
Emerald looked at her sister with a small smile. "Nothing, grandma needed sapphy more than she did me." The little one replied.
Ruby hugged her older sister. "Me need you." She said,
Vincent watch Emerald come back and Ruby go to hug her. Emerald reminded him so much of Jade on her visit here, and he wanted to try and break the trend. Stroking Emerald’s hair he said, “Well Sapphire is older sweetheart, maybe that’s why grandma wanted her to help and she let you come out here with us?”
Back in the kitchen Vincent’s mother took to bowl from Sapphire now that she had mixed it. “Excellent work my dear,” she beamed at Sapphire, “you’ve earned yourself and extra cookie. Now run along while I finish off here, and remember to wash the cookie dough off your hands.”
Emerald had over heard this as well as Ruby, who looked at her older sister sadly.
"Yea and mom's hair is purple." The three year old replied bitterly, bitting at her lip. Emerald slid off the couch pulling her stuffed lion with her. She drug the toy forlornly off into the guest bedroom of the house.
Ruby whimpered and looked up at her father. "Gamma mean to sissy? Sissy play with leo."
Emerald was in the guest room, brushing back her lion's mane. "I'm a good girl right Leo? I can do all that stuff if I wanted to!" Emerald growled, throwing the lion onto the floor.
Emmy grinned playfully as she quickly tackled the lion and began rolling around, wrestling him. She knew not to play rough with the lion, but she still played with him like a young wolf pup would.
Vincent watched Emmy head off, but decided not to follow, best let her cool off. “Don’t worry sweetheart,” he said giving Ruby a hug, “Everything will be alright.”
Having placed the cookies in the over Vincent’s mother gave Sapphire a genuinely warm smile. Now here was a proper lady, not like Jade and Emerald. Sapphire must take after her dad, it was the only explanation that made sense to her.
She headed for the guest bedroom and saw Emerald viciously attacking her stuffed lion. Too shocked for words she went back to the kitchen to check on the cookies, resolving to talk to Vincent about it later.
Emerald quirked a brow when she thought she heard someone come in. She barked softly before laying her head ontop of her lions fluffy head. She started to fall asleep slowly, begining to dream about being a real wolf.
Ruby shook her head. "I want Emmy back." She whined dragging her father towards the hallway to the guest bedroom
Sapphire politely excused herself from her grandmother and went into the guest bedroom, she gently shook the little one awake, pettin her on the head.
"Grandma is mean to you." Sapphire stated in angered tone. "I should have craked those eggs ontop of her head."
Emmy giggled, before looking solemly again. "But she likes you better, Grandma Pearl loves all of us. She lets me play and chew stuff up and everything."
Sapphire sighed, "I know, but remember be a wolf. Thats what mommy said right? I overheard you talking...I think she is right. And besides I really dont like anyone being mean to you besides me." Sapphire smiled hugging her little sister.
"Thanks Sapphy....can I have part of your extra cookie?" Emerald asked.
"Sure squirt, I would feel bad if I took something from you anyways. " Sapphire responded.
Vincent entered the bedroom pulled along by Ruby. “So how are my beautiful girls?” he asked, kneeling down next to them. He could sense that this trip was not going as well as he hoped, but maybe it could still be salvaged.
In the kitchen Vincent’s mother pulled the cookies out of the oven and placed them on a plate. Pouring three glasses of milk and two cups of tea she called, “The cookies are ready.”
"Im fine daddy, sapphy made me feel better." Emerald replied with a smile.
At the word of cookies all three lupin sisters bolted into the kitchen. All looked up and thier grandmother pleadingly, wanting to have the cookie's at that moment.
