The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

"....I'm honored, truly" Kaz caught her tone, and ignored it. "You should be." Shaking his head a bit. "I'm glad you know them. By your tone, I thought I might have to repeat it again." Kaz looked to the bartender. "Tell them to bring my car to the front. Be quick about it." Standing up he began to head towards the entrance. "You'll be part of the Kabal. To quote him, 'They’re job is to retrieve items for me that are inaccessible by alternative means.' " Looking back at Jazz. "Simple, No. Considering the payment."
"Retrieving items huh? Any means? I can do that" Jazz smiled, looking around and making sure she wasn't speaking too loud for what they were talking about. She wasn't crazy about having to answer to Kaz on a fairly regular basis, but that was okay. She could work past it. "What exactly are these items? Or is that something for me to talk to the Boss guy about?" she asked.

The bartender called out to Kaz. "It's out front." The man was glad to see that the two muties would be leaving. He didn't hide it well, but Kaz let it slide and nodded slightly. "I'm pretty sure by any means." He looked around where Jazz had just been looking. "Paranoid? Don't be. The items. Not sure. Though I know they aren't something to fall into just anyone's hands. Other than that, it'll be fun. If you're curious you can ask him yourself."
They exited the building where a silver Corvette Stingray was parked in front, top down. It looked as if it was straight out of the past, until you got closer and noticed the interior was completely redone. Kaz opened the passenger door before moving to the driver's side and sitting down. He started it up. The the purr from the engine was a dead giveaway that it wasn't just the interior that had been redone. The engine was custom built to fit this car, as powerful as any of the exotic sports cars.
"Wow..." she smiled as she walked out the door and saw that amazing car. "That car is...wow" she smiled, looking it over. She didn't typically dig the classic cars but damn if this wasn't an amazing car. "Classics aren't usually my deal but I'll hand it to you...this is a hot car" Jazz smiled and slipped over to the other side of the car, getting in the passenger seat.
"So, where are we heading to?" Jazz asked, leaning a little closer to Kaz.

Kaz had a genuine smile at Jazz's reaction to his car. "Classics have their appeal, but they don't normally have the power of the newer cars. Though newer ones don't have that....soul, to them." Kaz revved the engine and headed out, leaving skid marks behind. Kaz didn't notice Jazz moving closer to him. He turned his head to look at her and answer her, but a *THUD* sound was the answer he got when their head's met. "What the?" He looked forward again. "We're headed to Mondragon Labs about an hour out."

<At least she backed off.> "Why? Because he owns them. Figured that'd be obvious." Kaz checked his seatbelt. "Make sure you're locked in good." Without waiting Kaz revved the engine and floored it. The car blew past 50, 60, 80, 100, leveling out around 130mph. People saw him coming from miles away and barely had time to move, and less time to see what the hell it was that just passed them. "We'll be there very shortly."
"I simply meant that I was sure he owned places that were better offices than the Lab. No need to get smart...you haven't been thus far" Jazz trailed off. She was torn on Kaz. He pissed her off, rather expertly too, but he was very attractive and she couldn't ignore that as much as she wanted to.
She was broken from her thoughts as she felt the acceleration of the car. She smiled before she started to chuckle. She liked cars, and she loved fast cars. She put one hand on Kaz's thigh and the other on the side of her door, squeezing both. "You always go this fast?" she asked, chuckling again as she looked over to Kaz.
