How to access the apartment: You must enter the apartment building. You must then go to a special elevator set aside from the others because it is the only one that goes to the Penthouse Suite. Before you enter the elevator you must pass security, and then go up the elevator with a bodyguard. You will then be allowed to walk into the penthouse suite which has 2 bodyguards outside of the door.

Dakota drove up just outside his apartment. He was no longer driving the 4x4 Black Jeep. He switched into a silver Escalade half-way there. He didn't want the police following. He then oicked up the Fire girl and Raina. He carried them both to the door. The fire girl was just waking. "We're at my apartment. It's okay. Calm down." Dakota said as he soothed her. He then went inside and looked at his bodyguards. They took a few tests to make sure it was him then let him in the special elevator. As another Bodyguard came up with him the bodyguard said: "Mr. Antonescu has left a message. He requests that you remember to keep your friends out of this because he wants them to be a secret." "Thankyou," Dakota simply said.

When they reached the top of the building the doors opened. Dakota let the bodyguard go back down as he walked to his Penthouse Door. Two bodyguards were outside blocking the door. They moved aside as Dakota approached and opened the door. He walked insisde and sat the girls on his expensive couch. He got 2 glasses of water and waited for them to wake.

Ali had regained from her weakened state as the three of them arrived at what seemed to be the man's home. She overheard someone telling the man a messege from someone named Mr. Antonescu. She could feel the body heat of people as they passed them by. They were spaced out and stationary. Perhaps they were some kind of security force.

Before long she was set on a couch. She opened her eyes and looked around. It was a big place. Ali spotted the man as he was getting a couple glasses of water and heading back to the two girls.

Standing up Ali looked him dead in the eyes as her own eyes began to glow once again. "Explain yourself before I level this entire building and bury you in it."

Dakota saw the girl wake and heard her threat. "All in due time my dear." Dakota said. "If you try to level my home then I will have to drain you of your energy. You wouldn't be able to lift a finger. So drink this," Dakota said as he handed her the drink. "And calm down." Hee then went to Raina and looked at her closely. He saw that she was slowly regaining consiousness. He then turned back to the girl.

"I am Dakota Crane," he said. He pointed around himself. "And this is my home. I brung you here because you were endangering other people as well as yourself. The NYPD, CIA, and Anti-Mutant League were all coming. They would have taken you if I didn't bring you here. Now tell me your name."

If Ali's eyes weren't glowing then Dakota would've seen her roll her eyes. "I could've handled them all without your help. Besides, what makes you think I wanted to be brought to your home?" Ali was still pissed that he had interfered with her attempt to teach those snot nosed twins a lesson.

"So, Dakota...How about you tell me what it is you want and who Mr. Antonescu is then I'll think about telling you my name."

Raina wasn't really aware of anything that was happening. She twitched softly in her sleep and for a moment appeared to be upon waking but alas, she didn't. Her lips were still blue and quivering, her eyebrows furrowed. She was dreaming.

In her dream Raina was back home. It was cold- but she didn't mind. She saw the faces of her friends and family happy to see her. They all sat in a circle around her. She wasn't certain at first... but it became quite clear that they were all singing... no singing wasn't right... they were chanting. They were all chanting except Raina who sat in the center looking around confused.

She realised she'd made a mistake. These people wern't her friends and family... though they had some resemblences... it was almost as if... they were her ancestors. They continued to chant it what seemed a very spiritual tone. Raina felt herself grow colder as a pool of icey blue water formed around her.

It began to freeze and take shape. In pulled itself infront of Raina, a massive ice block. With one unified high note from the chanters the ice block split and revealled a perfect replica of Raina, made of ice.

The replica stared at her and Raina rising to her feet, stared back. She was scared, but she felt like she must hold her own. The creature moved in very much the way you'd expect something made of ice to move- akwardly, leaving frost in it's wake. It reached out toward Raina and touched her throat. Raina's throat began to glow where the creature touched it, and then... it began to freeze.

Raina felt like she was cholking. There was a block of ice in her throat! She clutched her mouth and pawed frantically at her throat trying to scream but no sound came out. The creature backed away and then... melted.

In her sleep Raina began to cough.


ooc: I figured I'd keep her knocked out for a little longer to give Dakota and Raven a chance.

Dakota realized that she had heard him talking about Hunter. He then covered up his mistake. "Mr. Antonescu is somebody who I had dinner plans with. Seeing as you are here I can no longer make that appointment. As for what I want, that is simple. I don't want you running around the city like a mad woman." He looked at Raina as she rustled. "It's time to wake up Raina." he said. HE inserted some energy into her. It would make her wake up and feel better than ever.

As Raina recieved the energy she shot up straight on the couch gasping for air and chocking. She fell down on her hands and knees gasping. She held her throat unsure of her surroundings and leaped back up in fear. When she saw Dakota and Ali she relaxed a little bit, but noticed that her hair was now bluer than ever. "w-what d-did you do to me?" she looked at her hands. "Everytime you do that my mutation is stronger than I've ever had it." she held the blue hair between her fingers and frowned. She felt good, she'd have to admit. But the energy coursing through her felt unatural. It was almost too much. Like she needed to release it.

She hadn't noticed but there was a little circle of frost around the carpet on her feet. She took in her surroundings. "Where are we?"

"We are in my apartment. As for what I did to you, I can absorb, see, and control energy. I enhanced your energy and made you stronger. I am good at doing that. And yes, I know you that you have to much energy but I have it in check. All the energy in this roomis under my control and I have it under limits to what it will do." with that he looked at fire girl. "Who is she Raina?"

Raina felt a little weary now knowing that Dakota was in control. She felt a pit her stomach and felt anxious and unsure. She crossed over and stood next to Ali. She hoped Ali understood that though she made an attempt to stop her earlier actions- it wasn't anything personal... Raina was just worried about all the bystanders.
"This is Ali. She and I are staying in the same place. Zelek was taking us there because we got lost." she wondered if she'd given away too much information. She looked worriedly over at Ali. The young girl was clearly angry but Raina willed her to be calm. She looked back at Dakota and felt the blush creep across her cheeks (why does that keep happening?) she wondered (Is it because he's controlling the energy?)

She felt very unsure of everything. Was Dakota a friend or foe? It was true he kept them away from the police... but here she was in his home and she didn't know anything about him. And why did he seem so familiar?

Ali watched Dakota revive Raina. She saw him transfer some energy and the girl shot up like she had been poked with a needle. She remained silent for a moment as the two conversed.

While they were busy Ali was getting a feel for the place. Mainly all the sources of heat. At the moment everything was regulated just like any other place would be. She wondered just how much energy this man could absorb because she could produce a vast amount of it very quickly.

When she heard Raina tell Dakota her name as well as what they were doing and that they stayed at the same place Ali wanted to tell her to stop talking but it was too late. Now all she could do was see waht else Dakota would say or ask.

"Well, you could've continued on with your meeting if you hadn't gotten involved. Those girls and I were just testing each other."

"Well Ali, it is my goal to recruit a bunch of mutants to my cause. I only did that because I think that you and Raina are perfect. I will let you leave when you are properly in control of your powers." He said this in a calm, commanding tone. "I know that you Ali have not fully mastered your powers. You may be able to look like you know what you are doing but I can see that you still need work. I can help you. As for you Raina, we know that you need work. I want to train you both to be the best that you can. What do you say? Are you with me?" He then sat down and waited.

Raina paused for a moment considering what he had said. Work on her powers? That was more than anyone at the mansion had offered. But something about this didn't sit right. "What do you mean, 'we'?" she prodded. "And what's this cause?" she was growing impatient. Raina when backed into a corner could blow up just as well as the next mutant and she felt backed into a corner.

"Hmmm..My cause is to get humans to treat Mutants like equals. As for 'we' I mean you, Ali, and I." Dakota then absorbed lots of Raina's energy. "This is what the X-Men will keep your energy level at. This is what I will keep your energy level at and teach you to control it." He took some energy from the air and inserted it in Raina. "Power feels good Raina. Especially when you can control it."

A dark feeling coursed through Raina as she stared at Dakota. "You're against the x-men?" her eyes were no longer their beautiful brown. When Dakota pushed more energy into her they iced over into a dark gray. Her hair was dark blue and her skin pale. The little patch of frost on the carpet around Raina grew darker. Raina's little body was not meant to hold so much power... and with her every word her breath came out in a cold mist.

She felt a little betrayed. It wasn't like Dakota had lied to her... but all the same she had treated him as if he was one of the good guys. He seemed good enough... even now with his promise of power... he seemed so innocent... and so beautiful.

"Ali." said Raina sharply giving Ali a look that said "play along". "You should go back to the mansion and alert them to the damage caused in the park. I'll be behind you... but first I need to talk to Dakota..." as soon as the words left her mouth a slight hum from her throat hung in the air and a giant wall of ice shot up from the floor between Ali and Raina so that the two could no longer see eachother. Raina hoped Ali listened. Because Raina wasn't sure she could go back to the mansion at this point- without help.

She turned back to Dakota. "Show me this power." She wanted to buy Ali time... Dakota was obviously dangerous... and she knew what was right and what was wrong... but at the same time Raina could feel her body growing drunk from Dakota's power surging through her... her brain seemed foggy.
