So, I'm completely new to MRO and am in need of threads to start off with my Spanish Eagle shape-shifter.
I'm not going to make this long, considering I know a lot of you have better things to do than read my rambling, so here's a little bit about Adrián and what I'd like his future to (vaguely) look like.
-- He's twenty-eight and has been in America on and off (mostly on) since 1999 with a student visa. He ended up getting citizenship years later, but returned to Spain for a few months during the Registration Act to 'visit' his brother.
-- He's a Spanish teacher at a High School in a Manhattan and a pretty cool one at that.
-- He doesn't really want to be a part of the Mutant life - you know, the KP brawls, helping the Romanian population with their own Act, all that stuff? Yeah, he would rather not label himself as a Mutant - he's a little paranoid that if he does come out as a Mutant he'll be deported. I'll need to change that in the future, so your character could help. It will take some time though, just so you know. Definitely not a one-thread thing.
-- He always has a smile on his face even when times aren't all that easy. He loves crack jokes and likes to laugh, especially when situations are tense. He wants to make people feel better, but it can also be a bit annoying to some.
-- He's an artist - drawing and acting are both things he's good at. He's also a good cook, a true bookworm and... he loves his motorcycle.
As far as what I need is concerned, I mentioned something in red above, which is probably my main goal for the next few months, but who knows, anything is possible, right? I'd also like to develop a few friendships with people that are in any of the three factions (Although I'm not sure he'd like Order folks all that well)... maybe even a love interest? It would definitely take a few threads before Adrián likes someone in a romantic way. Some romance could push him to want to be a part of the Mutant world a little more, though... and who doesn't love a romance plot? But yeah, I'm up for almost anything at all!
Well I'm happy to involve either Andrew or Cosmina with this. Andrew's a genuinely nice guy with a few issues. He's also about eight years younger than Adrian so that would probably affect how they interacted.
Cosmina would be interesting to see because she's always smiling as well. Difference being that Cosmina's smiling is just a mask. A mask that is very well used and hard to take off but a mask none the less. They're about the same age. If you're willing to have Adrian's heart broken or have him have to work insanely hard to convince the gal that a loving relationship isn't a death sentence the she's also a possibility for the romantic sideplot. Not a good possibility but a possibility *chuckle*
I like Andrew and threading with him would be pretty cool; I don't really know just how Adrian would take to him either... I guess it would have to do with first impressions or something.
Haha, he'd actually be pretty torn up if he ended up getting his heart broken. Usually he's the one who breaking hearts, and when he is the one that's dumped (which perhaps happened once or twice) it doesn't affect him all that much 'cause his feelings weren't strong for said person... so yeah, I guess that could be interesting; we can see where threads take us with Adrian and Cosmina, maybe see if that 'not so good possibility' could take place.

I don't really have any plots for Mina at the moment. As for ideas...well Mina can easily show up nearly anywhere so that's not a problem. It would likely be best for Adrian to meet Mina when she's having a day off. Little chance of anything but him being repelled by her if he encounters her when she's in job mode so to speak.
Yeah, being the law-abiding High School teacher he is, meeting a mercenary on the job wouldn't be something he'd be thrilled about... Maybe we can have a thread partially based off of my RP sample? They're in a bus going somewhere (I don't really mind where, like Mina, Adrian could have reasons to be at a lot of places) and then they realize that the bus is hijacked by two Mutants and there's a bomb threat involved? I don't know if that's been done before...
That could work. Possibly give Mina a chance to show off her fighting skills and give him the false impression that she's a good person. I don't think it has been done and even if it has one more plot like it won't hurt.
Awesome, and Adrian will probably help in a way too - maybe he's sitting in the seat behind Mina's or something. He has fighting skills himself, so he would be helpful if it came down to it.
