The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Deathstar grins at Fade's response to her driving, "So Raph!, which way do I turn?," she asks him as she keeps her eyes on the road. "I haven't been down this way since..." she stops her train of thought and focuses more on raph. Deathstar tries to think of what could possibly be going through Raph's head. I wonder if the legend about him is true, is he as vicious as everyone makes him out to be.
Fade was starting to get inside of Deathstar cold and abandoned heart. she was slowly becoming the sister she never had, and Deathstar didn't want to lose her. she wanted to make sure that Raph and Fade live through this whole ordeal even if it meant death.
Deathstar begins to speed up and drive on the opposite lane to get across a slow driving car that was ahead of her. "Learn how to drive you old hag" she yells at the elderly woman driver. she was obviously venting her frustrations on the road.
”Hang a right up there at Brooklyn,” Raphael said, gesturing up ahead, then listed off the series of turns that would take them to The Other End. “Though finding parking I’ll leave to you.” He stretched his hand back towards Fade and resumed gazing out the window, zoning out for a few moments as Deathstar took several more sharp turns. He came back to the present as she shouted at the elderly woman ahead of them.
“Can you tell me about this ‘Punisher’?” Raphael asked. If The Punisher were being sponsored by Benny, there would be no doubt that Raphael would end up going against him. He suspected he would be up against The Punisher even if he was not sponsored by Benny. Two champions in the ring at the same time would be quite the spectacle, and any sponsor might jump at the opportunity.
He watched The Other End pull into view as they cruised through the crowded New York streets. “Almost there, finda parking spot…”
A smile grazed across Deathstar's face as Raph reached back to touch fade, they seem to be the couple that can whether against any storm. Raph asks deathstar about the punisher, Deathstar got serious for a moment realizing what Raph is really up against, and can he actually defeat this monster. "Raph!, I don't mean to discourage you but this guy punisher is nobody to take easy", her eyes gazes over to fade and then to Raph as she tells him about the punisher. "The punisher went up against one of my best friends frankie , and he is lucky to only lose only an arm instead of his life" she looks over the dusty and dirty paking lot. The location was dark, damp and full of crime. Deathstar sharply pulls her car into vacant lot, and turns off her ignition.
Deathsat sits back in her seat and takes in a deep breathe and exhale, knowing this will be a long night. "Ready" she says to the other two as she unbuckles her belt, throws her hoodie over head and steps outside the car.
”Mutant?” He asked, stepping out of the car and sliding the seat forward for Fade to get out. “What exactly cost your friend his arm? I’ve snapped arms backwards during my fights as well. Crippled more men than I’m proud to admit.”
He led the way out of the dark alleyway that Deathstar had found to park in, and into the lighter area that The Other End is on. He crossed the street, with both the women in tow and opened the door to the smallish café on the corner. He led the way through the dimmer room. The air smelled of coffee, and a low din of personal conversations buzzed throughout the room.
Raphael found his way to the back corner. He had met Benny there before, and somehow the man always seemed to be there before Raphael got there. Despite Benny’s apparent lack of patience for his fighters, he certainly seemed to have a deep well of it for waiting in this place.
Benny spotted him first and rose from his corner seat, waving to Raphael. Benny’s guards remained seated. He thrust out his hand in a friendly show as Raphael neared. “Ah, my prodigy.”
Raphael looked at the man, and then took his hand in a shake. “I was no prodigy. Prodigy implies that my talent is just that, talent… I worked hard to be where I am Benny. And after tonight, I’ll not be coming back here.”
Benny smiled and looked at the women. He recognized Deathstar, his gaze lingering only a moment on her, then passed on to Fade giving her a thorough ‘once over’. “You know Deltoid, I can understand why you’d wanna stay ‘way from here. I had almost figured you for a fag, given the offers you’d turned down. Yet here you appear with not one girl on your arm, but two! Though, I might warn you, that one,” he gestured at Deathstar. “is a might feisty.”
”We’re here to discuss business Benny,” Raphael said as he drew out a seat for Fade. He was determined not to let Benny get under his skin. He sat down.
“Knocked either of ‘em up yet Deltoid? Can’t imagine that your seed would be weak,” Benny said with a small grin on his face, obviously trying to goad Raphael and get him off balance. He shot a glance at Deathstar. “If you haven’t lost any of your ability to time, and ain’t havin’ Deltoid’s kid here, offer is still open. I can make yuh into a champ you know.”
”Business Benny. Who am I fighting, and how long do I have to prep before tonight?” Raphael asked coldly.
Deathstar zipped up her hoodie when she Raph asks if the punisher was a mutant, she paused to think about it since it has been a long time. "I guess!, no human can possess that much strength and power". She starts walking with Raph and Fade out of the alley as she continues to speak, "My friend Frankie was an up and coming fighter recruited by Benny" she looks around her surroundings to make sure no one was following them. "Frankie was in it for the money but he wasn't the smartest of the crop and thats what I believe Benny preyed upon".
Deathstar enters the cafe in silence, not much for the social scene, she sticks to what she knows and begins to look around the room for this Benny guy. She notice Raph walking to back corner of the shop as if he knows Benny like a book. Deathstar soon follows him with her Hood over her head covering her eyes.
When She approached Benny and his bodyguards she didn't say much. This was in fact Raph's fight and she didn't want to intrude in his business, but when Benny mentions her name, Deathstar frowns her face toward him as if his face was repulsive. It was then she remembered how disgusting and greedy Benny was, and decided to look around the cafe rather than him. Rather than sit she decides to stand arms folded behind Raph and Fade just to make sure nothing out of the ordinary happen. She hears the nasty comments coming from Benny and turns back to look at Benny "excuse me" she says with an angry tone in her voice. she wants to react with her first impulse and drain every once of energy out his body, but decides to keep it cool until their business was done. "Look Benny!, don't ever speak of me that way again, I am not your property and you will respect me", she then clinch her fists as if she wants to send him to an early grave, but she realizes why she is there and steadily calms down.
Fade felt reassured when Raph reached back, letting her grab his hand. Yet her reassurance quickly faded when Deathstar mentioned a Frankie loosing his arm during a fight with this Punisher. However, she kept her mouth shut and just reminded herself of how strong Raph was and that he was not like this Frankie. But whether it helped her accept his actions was a different story.
When they walked into the cafe, Fade followed closely to Raph, keeping herself close enough for her own comfort, yet far enough to show others that Raph had no weaknesses. When Raph pulled out a seat for her, she sat down, examining this Benny with a vaguely repulsive glance. Yet she kept her cool, she did not say anything, just listened. But when Benny mentioned Raph having two girls, she could not help herself and she spoke up.
"And I see you have no girl next to you." It was concluded, something about Deathstar gave Fade back her inner rebellion and the hell if she was going to let some low-life punk get all over her man's case over a silly reason. Modesty did not seem to be welcome at this cafe. So her currently black eyes pierced through Benny's words as she continued to listen, deciding that she would not speak out of line again unless the situation called for it.
Raphael drew a short breath, listening to the women mouth off as he let himself figure out what Benny wanted.
“A ‘no’ again then Layla?” Benny said, then without waiting for a reply, he shot a glance at Fade. “I am guessing Deltoid’s found interest in the feisty ones… To answer your question though, I keep my whores where they’re most useful.”
”Business Benny. Don’t think I’m not above walking out of here with you in more than one piece.” Raphael muttered, low enough to not be overheard by other patrons, yet loud enough that the threat would not lose its meaning. “And you know just as well your suits wouldn’t be able to stop me either. We’re here concerning business, not my private life.”
Benny turned back to Raphael. “No need to be rude my boy, I’m merely making conversation. Small-talk, or have you forgotten about such things in your brief stint away from our delightful culture?”
”I hadn’t forgotten, though I wish I had. Your antics are less than thrilling Benny.”
Benny shrugged some as he reclined in his chair. “Fight-time’s 9:30p.m. Brawler’s Bin. I assume you remember where that is?” Benny folded his hands on stomach.
”I remember. Who’s my opponent?” Raphael stated.
“Not saying. Gotta keep a few surprises,” Benny said with a small smile. “Shall I arrange for a private booth for your bed buddies?”
Raphael bit his tongue ever so slightly, nicking the edge hard enough that he tasted blood. He was letting Benny get to him, though better for it to happen now than right before or during his match. “Fine, old bastard. Have it your way, and no…” he paused for a moment, looking at Fade, then over his shoulder at Deathstar. “Unless my friends would rather one.”
Deathstar stayed in dead silence as the two men talked, and sealing the deal for the last fight. During Raph's conversation with this disgusting man, she realized thats the key to his success, if he can't beat you physically he will mentally destroy you and thats what he was doing to Raph. Deep in thought, Deathstar was thinking about the tactics Benny may have in store for raph, she knew this guy was a trickster, and will do anything to keep his fighters undefeated. " I want to be by Raph's side until he enters the cage" Deathstar burst out her statement interrupting the two men meeting, the cafe's attention was focused on her. " I know about your schemes Benny, I want to make sure Raph is 100 percent until his fight", she looks Benny dead in the eyes as if she is stabbing him with words. "I wasn't there at Frankie's demise, but I will be damned if thats gonna happen again" she looks at the security guards making sure they wouldn't try anything funny, and she resumes her posture looking around the cafe at the other diners,"What are you guys looking at?'" Deathstars yells out loud to the other diners, they instantly continued their conversations acting as if they wasn't listening in on their meeting.
A simple smirk played across the red-head's face as Benny attempted to get on her nerves. Oh, it would be a sad day when a man that pleasures himself with the company of repulsive sluts would ever make Fade feel bad or inferior for that manner. Yet she kept her pose, she did not play an expression of annoyance, did not show any signs of Benny's words piercing through to her mentality.
"And I plan to stay with Raph as long as he is not in the fight. It a way for me to, as Deathstar mentioned, be sure of his safety. For the day your childish methods cause Raph to be weakened in any form is the day you loose your ability to speak through your forked, snake tongue." With that, she raised an eyebrow to accompany her smirk and she waited for their departure. 9:30.
“No can do ladies. Not unless you’re planning on climbing into the ring,” Benny said, stopping for a moment to contemplate something, or at least acting like he was. “That would be a mighty fine spectacle.”
”No.” Raphael said with more than a fair amount of steel in his voice. He would not let either of the women set foot in one of those rings, especially as an opponent to him. This was going on long enough. “You can and will let ‘em go down to the gates with me.”
“That’s outta my hands Deltoid. I run the fighters, not the rings, and the ‘no spectators in the fighter’s area’ rule is John’s. You aughta remember that.” Benny stated calmly, addressing all three, though only having his gaze on Raphael. “Private booth with plasma screens for life-sized action is the best I can offer.”
”Then no.” Raphael had no intention of letting Fade get closer to his action than necessary, he still worried about what he might do in the ring and her reaction to it. “9:30, Brawler’s Bin.”
Raphael stood, he felt uneasy. Not beaten, that’s for sure, but uneasy. Not so much over what Benny had said, the sleaze was losing his touch. He used to be able to whip Raphael into such a fervor that little would stop him. He had definitely grown in the months since he left this life.
“Right. Ladies’ll have to take the front entrance, the bouncer will have descriptions for them, I’ll see to that, I can assume you remember the back door?” Benny stated, purposely keeping his gaze settled on his former fighter. He could tell Raphael was a stronger man now than he had been before, and he could not quite put his finger on the point that had increased the most.
Raphael did not bother with a response. He instead turned around and left the now silent café. Sure, he had gotten a time and place, but he had not gotten the information he had really wanted. What Benny had had in mind for his ‘final fight’. He glanced at either of the women with him as they neared Deathstar’s car. “Don’t bother trying to force your way into the fighter’s area… it’s not worth it, and just knowing you’re up on the viewing deck will be ‘nuff for me.”
Fade's mind was set and even though Benny said that she was not going to go down to the ring, she already decided she would go down unnoticed, using her power, of course. For many reasons, she planned on turned Deathstar invisible with her so the two of them could go down together and return to make sure Benny had no suspicions.
As Raph got up, she did the same and followed him out of the cafe. Her yellow eyes shot a glare at one of the suits near Benny before they left. As they neared the car, Fade got closer to Raph again, grabbing his hand. "It maybe be enough for you but I want to make sure no one screws you over."
Deathstar pouted in anger in her mind, when Benny tells Raph that the women couldn't be by ringside. Deathstar always stayed one step ahead of people and was a tactical person, she begins to think how She can sneak into ringside without being noticed.
"Let's go" she says to Raph as they exit the cafe and walks toward Deathstar's car. Deathstar said nothing as the group walked through the parking lot, She glance at the couple, thinking about how Raph was going to get himself out of this one, and how Fade was going to deal with the loss if such a thing occurs. As they approached the car and idea came to her head. " Hey!" she yells out loud trying to get the attention to Raph, she throws her car keys to him, "You drive!". In the back of her mind she knew that Raph will be spending too much time on the road and not on the women, this will be a good time to plan with Fade about getting near the cage.
She glances at Fade, nodding her head toward her, hoping she would get the idea . She knew that Raph wouldn't want Deathstar and Fade to put themselves at danger, but this was team effort, with or without Raph's consent.
Raphael stopped as Fade grabbed his hand. He turned towards her, letting her words slide over him, and puzzled over them. The most he could possibly get ‘screwed over’ is in a way that they likely could not stop: putting so many people into the ring at once that he simply could not handle it, which would not make for much of a spectacle. The rules for the ring were in place, and set in stone, to keep such ‘screwing’ from happening. Any messing that Benny wanted to do would have to happen outside of that darkened corridors and rooms of the gladiator’s pit.
He held Fade’s hand for a long moment, until Deathstar tossed her keys to him. He snatched them from the air, and stared at them long and hard for several moments before admitting.
“I don’t drive. Never learned how, no license.” He said, looking back up towards Deathstar. His feet had always done well enough to carry him wherever he needed to go. The only exceptions were when he needed to get somewhere especially quickly, such as today for this meeting. Which was something that he had wanted to get done and over with, if only he could also climb into a ‘time’ car and speed to his fight that night. He was not, however, so dense as to realize that Deathstar wanted him to clear his mind, and thought driving would do so. “Know where central park is? We’ve a few hours to burn, and it’s fairly pretty this time of year.” He held the keys out for Deathstar to take back. Nature would give him the time to clear his mind, and the ladies room to chitchat without his overhearing.
Fade looked over at Deathstar then down at her hand. In her hand, she had a dollar. Slowly, her hand dissolved into nothing, leaving the dollar visible, but within milliseconds, she changed that as well. She was hoping that this way, Deathstar could remember that Fade had the ability to disappear and make other things and even people disappear as well.
She looked over at Raph when he stated that he never learned how to drive. Wow, another similarity, but their reasons for never learning how to drive were different. While Raph just didn't ever need to, Fade was never able to learn how to drive. She never had a family to give her driving lessons, she never had enough to buy one, and if she ever broke into a car, it was to steal something from inside since she had no clue how to hotwire a car. No, that was Voltage's area of expertice, another rebellious, homeless mutant. The two were never friends, but never enemies.
She looked over at Deathstar and shook her head. "Don't give me the keys either. I've never even had the chance to learn how to drive. Looks like you're the only one that can drive the get-away car."
Deathstar realize was Fade was trying to communicate to her, a faint smile came over Deathstar's face and she nods her head in confirmation toward Fade. She takes the keys from Raph's hand and walks over to the driver side of the car, and gets inside of it. "Let's go!, we don't have much time", she says as she starts the ignition. The loud car engine vrooms loud , and a wall of fumes shoots out the ignition.
A moment of silence of took over deathstar the moment she started the car, "Raph I'm going to tell you this now so you don't think any different when the time comes" she slowly looks at Raph with a serious demeanor, "I wish I got the chance to know you better, and I wish this wouldn't be the time , but in this short period of time you and Fade were like Family I never had...and ..whatever lets just go" she tells the two as her attention switched from being serious to rebellious. Deathstar was never the girl to get emotional but she would of felt guilty if she didn't anything at all, she felt this would be the perfect time to tell them since this is Raph's last fight and it might be the last time she would see him.
