The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Raphael nodded assuming his definition of ‘not much time’ and Deathstar’s differed. He climbed into the car after Fade and waited patiently as Deathstar sped off for Central Park. He listened quietly as Deathstar opened up to them. He tipped his head towards her, “I’m not going to die in there.” He stated simply, and quietly. He wondered suddenly if she knew something he did not. He did know this much: He tougher than any lone man or woman that Benny could put into the ring with him. Especially if that man was just human.
He turned his head towards the window, zoning out until they pulled up to Central Park. He ‘hopped’ out of the car, sliding the seat forward to let Fade out, before Deathstar even had the chance to turn it off. He then, without saying a word, headed off in an almost random direction. In truth, he was heading for the nearest tree. He had not really been climbing for some time, real climbing that is. He broke into a jog at halfway, clearing his mind as his feet picked up speed, sprinting by the time he reached the tree. He ran straight into the tree, climbing it at first with just the momentum he had built with his run. As that ran out, he turned to a more traditional climb, fingers finding the minute cracks and crannies in the tree bark as his feet propelled him upwards to the first branch.
He did not stop there however. He continued to climb, scaling through the branches as though they were his own personal ladder to the top of the tree. Only once he got up to the branches that would not support his weight did he stop climbing. He stood balancing on a swaying branch, a good place to collect his thoughts; gently swaying in the air with a coolish breeze gracing his face.
Fade looked at Deathstar, slightly surprised. Then again, this girl was full of unexpected actions and words, but these were kindly unexpected. It was nice and Fade had no complaints, but she kept talking as if Raph was going to be killed and it kept bugging Fade. He wouldn't die...would he?
Then Raph spoke words of reassurance, he wouldn't die. No, or so he sounded...with confidence...Fade stopped thinking, she was confusing herself. A smirk played across her face as she thought of how good of a thing it was that no one in the car was a telepath. As soon as they reached the park, Raph jumped out of the car. The slender red-head followed but once her feet hit the ground and she stood straight, Raph was gone. When she surveilled the area, she found him clinging to a tree. Yet after a few seconds of staring, she saw he was climbing the tree.
"What the hell?" She asked, looking over at Deathstar. But Fade decided to just shrug and take this opportunity to talk to Deathstar about their plans of sneaking in the ringside. "Ya, I guess you got my plan back at the cafe. As you know, I can turn myself and others invisible. The only problem is how we are going to get past people, if we touch them, they'll suspect something. That's when I was gonna climb onto the ceiling and use my claws to get as close to him as possible, but seeing as you will be coming along, or me coming with you, we will have to be a bit more careful."
Deathstar continued to drive after she accidently told him something that he wasn't suppose to hear, it was by the honor code that the cage fighter knew nothing about his opponent. Deathstar wanted to honor the code and decided not to speak of the fight anymore, back to reality she looks in her rear view mirror and smiles at fade "of course not Fade" she laughs a little as she asnwers Fade's concerning question.
Deathstar was in deep thought when she hurled the car around the corner into central park. She was about to put the car in park, when the passenger door open and Raph got out along with Fade. Deathstar kind of knew whats was going on in his mind but did not want to intrude, she instead got out the car slowly and walked over to the passenger side and leaned against her classic car watching Raph. "Don't be too long Raph!, you got a fight in a few" she says out loud towards Raph as he sprinted toward the tree.
Deathstar eyes meets Fade with smirk on her face, "Don't worry about us, we would get through the crowd" she speaks softly so that Raph can't hear them, "Okay I got a plan, how about if you go in first to unlock the doors, then come back to get me and we both walk in undetected" she looks around the dark and lonely park to make sure no one was hearing their plan since they were in park after dawn. "As a matter of fact how about if we take out Benny as well, just a thought" her face seems to liven up with the mention of Benny getting a lesson of respect from the two women..
Fade looked over at Deathstar when she stated her plans, but she squenched her face up. "Only problem with me going in first is that I don't know my way around. I've never been to one of these before. Any fights I've seen have been out on the streets, not in a cage. So you're gonna need to show me around. I'll provide the power if you provide the directions." She chuckled as she looked back over at Raph.
At the mention of giving Benny what he deserved she let out a laugh. "I would love to shut his big mouth up with my fist. And being invisible makes it fun. I just think it would be better if we did it after Raph founght, I don't think it's a good idea to 'take him out' until the coast is clear."
Deathstar puts her palm on her chin as if she is thinking, "hmmm!!, well maybe if we use your invisbilty and follow the other fighter since Raph can sense us and blow our cover" she looks at Raph again and begins to get excited. "No word around your man, we don't want him to worry" she says and she hops up and sits on the hood of her car still watching Raph.
"Thats a good idea, not only she we wait until after Raph's fight but we should surprise him and catch him off guard" she laughs hard as she lays on her hood trying to get a hold of her laughter.
Raphael remained perched near the top of the tree. He watched the two women down below him for a short while, not really trying to figure out what it was they were talking about, just watching. Really his attention settled his gaze more on Fade than both the women. His thoughts settled on her as well, he suspected they were chatting about how to sneak in behind him. He just hoped they did not intend to sneak into the ring with him as well. He then turned away from them, moving through the upper echelon of the tree as through it were his own personal jungle-gym.
He wondered about who he was going to face off against. He also wondered just how much of a disadvantage he was going to be at. Almost certainly anyone he was going against would have heard the stories of Raphael’s fighting style and prowess, and had the opportunity to prepare themselves as best they could. Though he had become a might bit better since leaving, and certainly more than a handful stronger, in both body and mind. His quick stint at the research facility had left him weakened for a couple weeks, but ultimately had accelerated his regeneration and provided him with unbreakable bones and sharper blades.
He was not afraid of walking into the ring, he was merely worried about the lengths that he might have to go to, to walk out back out. He looked out over the park; he had quite the vantage point from his perch. People having lunch, playing games, and generally enjoying themselves; and all of them were oblivious to the darker side of the city.
He climbed back through the branches to where he could see Fade and Deathstar again. “All done talking Ladies?” He shouted down from his perch.
"You're right. I always forget when I try and sneak up on him, but he catches me. I should write that on my hand." She joked. "But what does the other fighter look like? I can't tell who the fighters are, knowing how stupid I am, I'll probably follow a body guard back to Benny's booth."
She looked over at the tree and scanned it until she found Raph. Just making sure he didn't fall...then again, she knew if he fell, no harm, he would just heal easily enough. So for her to be worried for him was unneccessary, but natural. She saw as he climbed down some branches and she smirked and approached the tree.
Fade placed her raptor-like claws on the tree and proceeded to climb up to his branch, not leaving any trace of her claw going through the tree. "We're all done. Just some girl talk." She smirked before she grabbed the tree behind her with her claws, sinking through the wood and latching on so she wouldn't fall. She stood in front of him and asked him a question that many asked before their friend (or in this case, boyfriend) was about to do something that may bring about severe consequences. "Are you nervous at all?"
”No, not really,” Raphael said as he let go of his support and balanced on his branch. He was an acrobat before taking up several martial arts. “It’s hard to be nervous about anything when you’ve my genes.”
Okay, so his second statement was a lie, there was a lot he was nervous about, the fight itself however, not so much. He had worked most of it out of his mind, his process of emptying his body and leaving a void that he could act from was nearly complete. The darkened fighters’ hall would provide him with the atmosphere to finish the clearing of his mind. For now, he did not want to be cold hearted to his girl friend. He did not want to present that side to her, ever. He just did not think she needed to see it. “How are you doing Jenny? What was your chat with Deathstar about?”
He did not honestly expect the complete answer from her, though he did expect a truthful one. He smiled and waited for her answer, he would be ready to head to Brawler’s Bin afterwards.
"I know what the fighter looks like, you can let me lead the way, If Benny is smart he will unleash his best fighter the punisher" she speaks to Fade about the plan they just made moments ago, when Fade's attention went back on Raph.
Deathstar stayed sitting on top of her car playing with her nails watching Fade and Raph talk amongst themselves. She was worried that Fade might spill their plan, but if she truly cared about Raph she wouldn't tell him.
"What time does the fight start, I think we should get a move on" anxiously waiting , she was in a sense jealous of Raph a Fade's relationship, ever since Darius went back home to new zealand, she long for his company, but then again she will see him again.
Good, then you point this Punisher dude out to me and I'll find out how to get in." She replied to Deathstar before speaking with Raph. When he mentioned that he was not nervous because of his jeans...Jenny was confused. "Your jeans?" Of course, one must remember that Fade never went to school, she never learned any of the common knowledge and thus had no clue what genes were.
"Oh, she was just explaining to me everything she knows about this fight arena place. I didn't want to just walk in and have no clue what-so-ever of where I would be walking into... if that makes any sense." She paused before deciding on what she was going to say next. "You know? Like if I want to 'blend in' I can't just walk in there and stare with wide eyes because I've never been there before. God I still don't make sense.
Raphael balanced on the branch a moment longer, listening to Fade. “You shouldn’t have to worry about blending in Jenny… there’s likely to be a lot of people there for the first time. I’m sure that Benny has plastered this fight all over the underground, and possibly to certain higher individuals… and if he hasn’t someone else has. Few people who like these things will pass up a chance to see two ‘champions’ go at it. Even if there were nothing but seasoned vets of watching the ring there, some would have leering stares anyways. And you make perfect sense.”
He shrugged, and figured there was more to her story than what she had told him, but was not willing to press it further. He glanced down at Deathstar at the base of the tree. “Let’s get going.” He took his own words to heart and catapulted himself off the branch, using the tree as though it were his own personal jungle-gym, swinging and dropping through the branches mighty quick, but in a controlled way so as to not land wrong and hurt himself in the process. He landed remarkably softly next to Deathstar after his fast descent through the branches, and then looked up at Fade. “Come on down, but carefully, ‘kay?”
Deathstar slid off the hood of the car slowly to get to her feet, she walk around towards the driver side and looks inside the car at the clock. "Its 8:45, its time to get going" she spoke loudly and seemed to be in a rush.
She opened the car door and sat in the car, buckled her seat belt and turn the ignition, realizing her gas tank is low, she kept it to herself hoping the others wouldn't notice and not worry. she blast the car radio to a rock station, the speaker bass was so loud, it echoed all through the crowded park.
She sat patiently waiting for Fade and Raph, as she banged her head to the music that was playing.
Fade shrugged at what said about not worrying about blending in. "Better safe than sorry." With that, he jumped down and hit the ground carefully before cautioning Fade to be careful. Jenny just smirked before she clung onto the tree with her raptor-like claws and began her own descent. As soon as she could see the ground maybe 3 feet below her, she jumped off and landed funny. Pain jolted through her ankle but she kept her composure as if nothing happened. If there were two things about Fade that had not changed, it was that she had a high pain tolerance and a low pain tolerance for showing her pain. So even though it hurt (to her, which meant that it was worst than she thought), she merely blinked, stood up straight and grabbed Raph's hand before begining her walk to the car.
The pain will go away. Once I get off this ankle, I will be just fine and I'll just sit around. By the time I have to get up, it will all be gone. She mentally reassured herself. It didn't look like she was in pain at all. She opened the car door and climbed inside before sitting down with her legs crossed, the ankle that hurt was on top of the other leg. "Alrighty, let's head out." She shouted over the music.
((I appologize for my lengthy absence, school's been kicking my rear end...))
Raphael watched Fade descend the tree, and land a little abnormally, but did not think anything of it as she walked perfectly normal afterwards. He let her into the backseat and climbed into the front next to Deathstar. "Let's head out."
He let his head loll to the side and stare out the window. Less than an hour to go, and he still did not have much of a clue as to what Benny had in mind, but he did suspect it would not be pretty. He expected to come out of this a little winded, and having crippled at least one man in the ring. He watched as the streets slowed from the blur that Deathstar liked to drive at as she pulled up to the Brawler's Bin, or at least the alleyway where the entrance was located. He opened the door and looked at the two women after he climbed out. "Don't try anything... I don't want either of you getting hurt, especially trying to 'protect' me, okay?"
