The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Emerald and Mike had made good time, but naturally, by the time Daria's scent ran cold, there was no sign of her.
It was a sign of how worried Mike was that he hadn't said a word about Emerald skipping out of the mansion to visit his brother, save that no one was supposed to be leaving the mansion, ever since he'd found her at Johnny's. Right now he was trying for the fiftieth time to call Daria on her cell phone.
And finally, this action showed some results... some rather disturbing results. As Mike held his phone to his ear, from his other ear he could hear the telltale chirping of Daria's phone nearby. He hurried and followed the sound, finding it where it had dropped into the sidewalk grate around a small streetside tree.
No...
Mike knew what he had to do, but he almost didn't want to do it. Focusing his power on the cellphone, he touched it.
Immediately, he was flooded with all of the lingering emotion following Daria's capture. In one cold, heartwrenching moment, he knew what had happened.

Emerald sniffed the air, walking around the vicinty, trying to find another scent, the one she feared to find. She eventually found some tire tracks and smelt them, trying to decphier the scents.
One of the Scents was A labratory scent, one that reeked of the sceintests at Fusion corp. She turned her head where Mike was, tail drooping between her legs. She walked up to him and merely said one word. "Fusionist."

She didn't need to say it, though. Mike already knew. The fear he'd felt was slowly replaced by a burning, agonizing rage that kindled deep in his soul and burned in his eyes.
"He is going to be very, very sorry that he did this," Mike said in a low, deep voice that resonated with pent-up power. Though he wasn't fully powering up, the faint outlines of his psychic wings were just barely visible at times, and his eyes were blazing deep blue.
He'd said before, on at least one occasion, that he'd move heaven and earth for Daria. Now he was going to prove his words.
And frighteningly, it was hard to doubt that he could make good on that promise at times.

"Youre going to need help angel boy," Emerald growled irritably.
"I have a feeling that the wack jobs that took Daria are still around so you need to chill out and untill we can figure out her location we are stuck. Mike I know you wanna find her and I know how it is, Fusionist has screwed with my family and my love life but you cant be a one man army...you'll get hurt and despite what your brother thinks of you I would never be able to forgive myself if I let my good guy friend get hurt." Emerald said sincerely.
((they do have a brother sister relationship dont they?))

((Yeah, I'd assume so.))
"I never said I'd be the only one making him sorry... just that I'm going to be the one who makes SURE he's sorry."
Mike shook his head, trying to power down, but wasn't really successful. He looked at Daria's cellphone. "Daria knew people who might be able to help us... I want to look over her notes and such before I make any calls, though. For now, watch behind you."
Indeed, some of the 'whack jobs' were still around... and at that moment, they'd been taking a keen interest in the two mutants looking through the site of the recent abduction. Now, however, the one who had been brave enough to get close was standing rigid behind Emerald, held in a telekinetic and telepathic hold that, given Mike's rage, was unlikely to be broken.

Emerald merely nodded to Mikes request before sniffing the air. She felt a pressence behind her and all around them for that matter. Emerald turned around to see what the labs called 'a retriever' Or a guy who was stupid enough to go first in an attempt to take down the mutants.
"Mike, We have got company." Emerald growled, feeling uneasy.

"Yes... we do. Too much of it."
Mike didn't like this... he didn't like anything about it. And while a part of him was screaming to attack, make them pay for whatever had happened to Daria and make them tell where she was, he knew that it was a bad idea right now, when they had no idea what they were up against.
A blue glow shimmered around them. "Emmy... come closer to me. It's time to leave."

Emerald merely nodded, getting closer to Mike. It was better to fight these guys with someone than fight them alone like she had been doing all those years. "Whats your plan?"

Mike pressed Daria's phone into her hand. "There's a number on there for someone named Linda. That's Daria's... old employer. She might be able to help, and might WANT to help Daria. Tell her that if there's anything they can do for us, it's good for whatever they want from me when this is all over. Anything."
"The plan is simple. You go, get the hell back to the mansion and tell Tricity what's happened. I cover you until you can get away and I can get some information out of these slimeballs."

"Okay the only thing I dont like about your plan is that it involves me leaving you here alone with these Slimballs." Emerald said tail drooping between her legs, looking at Mike nervously. She placed the phone in her pocket, tucking it securely in.

Mike kissed Emmy on the forehead, looking back over his shoulder. "If my powers are working on them, they won't even notice you. But Tattoo said that they have countermeasures for any power, so I'm going to be ready for anything. The important thing is that you get back to the mansion. I'll try to get some information out of them... I'll call Daria's phone when I'm free of them."
He turned around toward the lingering 'undercover' agents. This... would be interesting.

And with that, Mike was upon them, his hardwood Escrima bastons drawn from beneath his jacket.
He bashed skulls and beat bodies with each swing, but Emmy was right... there were a lot of them. Still, he kept with his plan and buried his mind into that of the apparently highest-ranking 'lab junkie', looking for all the information he needed.
He was fighting at his best, making sure to not fight with his powers if it could be avoided. The plan he'd been formulating took shape, and he smiled slightly. This just might wo-
He didn't even have time to finish the thought, as something hard connected with the back of his head. He barely had time to register something warm running down his neck as he collapsed to his knees, his vision spinning, before falling flat on the ground.
If Emmy was going to wait for a call from him, her wait would be in vain.

The corner of Emerald's mouth twitched, as she ran, stopping. Emerald looked around before feeling something rip across her back. The wolf girl howled in pain before whipping around, slugging her attacker in the face.
Emerald watched as the man in the labcoat staggered back, one arm held down. Emerald realized that he had a type of Gauntlet on his arm that had metal claws inbeded into it. The wolf girl cursed before taking off again, leaving a trail of blood as she ran.
