The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Tasean gave Andrew a surprised look. He definitely was not expecting that answer from Andrew, but he was going to take full advantage of it. Maybe not full advantage tonight, but he was definitely going to see how many bases he could get steal before he struck out.
"Well then sir Andrew, let us go then shall we?" Tasean said playfully smiling before nodding towards the direction of his apartment. "So other than this Rhythm girl, what else was on your mind? If that's not being too nosy."
Tasean looked, and decided to take the long way home, instead of the short cut through the park. If Andrew needed time to clear his head, he was more than willing to give him that time. Not only because a good friend would do that, but because he may need Andrew to be able to focus on other things, once they got to the apartment.

Andrew smirked. He'd managed to surprise Tasean with his willingness to go back to his place. Sure he wasn't too comfortable with flirting but he had been a teenager once and had had a relationships at the time. They'd never gotten too far but the end result was that due to his withdrawal from people at the time he was comfortable with pretty much everything but flirting. He nodded to Tasean when he indicated the direction they'd be taking. At Tasean's question Andrew sighed.
"Well, ever since that thing at the office I guess I've just been noticing how harshly mutants get treated by humans more. I mean, they hurt you, they've hurt countless others, and when they don't hurt us they treat us so horribly that they might as well be hurting us. I know that not every human is like that. I've met some decent ones. It's just getting harder and harder to remember that each time I see or hear about some new pain they've forced on us."
Tasean was the first person he said these things to besides Lori. As much as he respected and even liked the woman her opinion was probably a biased one. Andrew trusted Tasean. Probably more than anyone else in some ways. This certainly wasn't something he'd sit down and talk about with Sam, Jorge, or Rhythm. Heck, he didn't think Gemma would get it out of him and she was good at that. Andrew glanced over at Tasean. Even if he didn't have an answer, Tasean would probably be an excellent distraction from the issue.

Tasean continued to walk towards his apartment, his hands clasped behind his back leisurely. He didn't plan on saying too much to Andrew, he knew when someone needed to vent. Andrew had given him that opportunity when the first met, and Tasean planned on repaying the favor. He simply nodded his head, casually guiding his friend towards his home.
Tasean himself had been having questions thoughts about his feelings toward humans, but it seemed that Andrew's turmoil went deeper. Tasean had very few dealings with other mutants until recently, and had never really told anyone else about his feelings. Things were a bit different for Andrew, so he could understand the mixed thoughts he was having right now. As long as Andrew didn't become some mutant vigilante bent on the destruction or slavery of all humans, Tasean was quite alright.

When Tasean nodded and continued leading the way instead of turning to confront him about what he'd just said Andrew sighed in relief involuntarily. He'd been somewhat worried that the man would judge him for his current problems. While he couldn't say that he loved the man he was attracted to him and fond of him as a friend. Tasean was someone that he didn't want to lose so the non-reaction was soothing to him. Andrew smiled at Tasean.
"Thanks for listening to that. It's just been bothering me a lot of late."
As he grew quiet again his thoughts turned from such issues to their destination. This would be his first visit to Tasean's apartment however he doubted the space itself would get much of his attention when they arrived. In fact, Andrew took a good long look at Tasean. There wasn't any chance he'd be paying attention to Tasean's apartment with that on offer. Feeling bold, and with a perfect shot at it since Tasean was slightly ahead of him on the path, Andrew reached over and seized his derrière. Andrew released the hold quickly and looked over to Tasean with a wink. He then walked ahead even quicker to hide his fast forming blush.

Tasean stopped dead in his tracks at that brief but heated touch. His eyebrows lifted as the blushing Andrew sped away further up the path. Tasean looked at the taller mans physique with an appraising eye, smiling a knowing smile to himself.
"So the guy's got claws hm?" Tasean thought to himself, commenting on Andrew's sudden spark of boldness. "Then let's play a little cat and mouse?
He looked at the rapidly retreating promise keeper, shaking his head. Andrew would have to move a lot faster if he wanted to out pace the track star, even if Tasean wasn't in running shoes. Tasean kicked his sandals up and grabbed them mid air before starting at a long stride jog to catch up with Andrew.
When he caught up with his friend, he slowed down, coming directly behind him and grabbing Andrew by the waste. He ran his hands around Andrew's midsection, circling from the small of his back around to his abs, going under the shirt to caress the skin for a brief moment before he moved himself to Andrews side. There he leaned up to place a light kiss on Andrew's neck just below the ear, and whispered "You're it" before he gave the blushing Kentuckian a friendly pat and took of running down the path towards his apartment building. This was definitely turning out to be very interesting.

His boldness was amply rewarded by Tasean when the man caught up to him. The brief touch at the waist gave him shivers that only intensified when he felt the unmistakable pressure of lips against his neck. As Tasean took off Andrew very nearly growled. No way was he about to let the man tease and run like that! He wasn't a track star but Drew could run pretty fast when he needed to. This seemed like an appropriate time for it to him! Not to mention he was wearing sensible foot wear and not sandals so he didn't have to lose time by taking off his shoes.
Catching up to Tasean wasn't all that hard in actuality. When he caught up to the man he casually slid a hand around Tasean's waist, in a manner similar to what Tasean had done to him. However he left his hand there as he guided his friend toward the edge of the path and a tree that stood there. Once within reach Andrew quickly spun Tasean around so his back was against the tree and trapped the man between his arms. His hands slammed into the rough bark as he looked down at the slightly shorter man.
"Keep that up Tasean and we won't need to get back to the apartment."
Andrew leaned in slowly as though to kiss Tasean, to give the man ample time to object. He hoped that wouldn't happen but you never knew.

Tasean eyes widened in surprise, a happy surprise as Andrew guided him by the waste toward the tree. He looked up at his friends, his eyes gleaming when Andrew spoke and then began to lean forward. Tasean made a noise somewhere between a laugh and a growl as he arched his back off the tree and leaned into the kiss. Already slightly warm from his slight jog, Tasean's body temperature began to rise rapidly. Almost of his own accord, his hand wrapped around Andrews waist, bringing the taller man into closer contact.
His eyes closed, his lips parting to allow his tongue to dart and taste Andrew's lips. The hairs on his arms stood up as goose bumps raised across his body. The heat of the kiss and energy was so much that Tasean was quite sure, if the tree was not at his back, his knees would probably have given out beneath him. It had been sometime since Tasean had kissed a man that he was attracted too on more than a physical level, and he was thoroughly enjoying.

Tasean seemed a bit surprised but no less eager for it. In fact he leaned forward into the kiss and quickly pulled Andrew toward him. It had been a long time since he'd last kissed a man but he enjoyed it no less. It was a lot less awkward than the kiss with Verdy had been. He was thoroughly enjoying himself and so let the linger linger on for quite a while before breaking apart from Tasean with a smirk. Andrew pulled Tasean back to the path and left an arm draped around him.
"No need for the public to get too much of a show." he said with a somewhat breathless tone.
All in all Andrew was fairly satisfied with how things had turned out today. Not only had he gotten to see Tasean again but he also had the prospect of a very pleasant evening ahead of him. Andrew glanced over at the man. Maybe not a boyfriend. Andrew wasn't entirely sure how he felt about Tasean in that regard. Friend with benefits he could do though. It was familiar territory that he really wouldn't mind exploring with man beside him. Maybe eventually they could have something more. The thought didn't confuse and terrify him like before.
He did sort of wonder where the whole thing would go but he wasn't too terribly worried about it for now. Andrew was content to be headed back to an apartment with a hot friend for now.

Tasean's breath was a little accelerated as Andrew lead him back on the path. While Tasean was no stranger to being with men, he had all but given up on every finding someone who filled more that physical needs, so Andrew was more than he bargained for. There was a growing bond their, formed from their mutual situation of being mutants, and also the mob attack. One simply did not go through something like that without forming some type of attachment to the people you went through it with. Andrew was also someone Tasean felt he could talk to, a shoulder to cry own and a ear to listen. And Andrew was kind with a big heart, that he wore on his sleeve, or on his arm in the form of little black rings, depending on how you looked at it. Bonus points the guy was not bad looking at all, and a good kisser. Tasean didn't know where this thing between them would end up, but he was going to ride this stallion, figuratively and maybe literally, until he fell off.
Tasean wrapped his arm around Andrew's waist, trying to match the taller man's stride as he guided him along the path towards the Apartment, which came into view just around a bend.
"There is home sweet home" Tasean said, grinning like the cheshire cat

Tasean's Cheshire style grin did two things. It made him laugh a little even as it brought back a familiar flush to Andrew's face. They had arrived at Tasean's building so if ever there were a time to back out it was now. He thought about it for about half a minute before deciding that he emphatically did not want to back out now.
"So lead on."
Andrew gave Tasean a grin of his own. Not quite Cheshire but it would do the trick. Whatever happened once they were past that door Andrew was quite looking forward to it.

With his hand still wrapped around Andrew's waist, Tasean lead his friend to his apartment building. The building was nice, but definitely older, not some modern marvel but a classic beauty. As they came to the door, the doorman smiled and gave Tasean a knowing smile and wink.
"Mr. Walker" he said, tipping his hat in greeting before giving Andrew the once over and Tasean another smile.
"Mr. Freeman" Tasean said by way of greeting, blushing underneath his dark skin. The doorman had witness many of Tasean's conquest, and had called a cab on more than one occasion for Tasean's visitors to get home. He could only hoped that the doorman would not say anything to Andrew about the young social worker's active social life. Tasean didn't want Andrew to think he was only another notch in the belt. Tasean felt different about Andrew than the other guys he had dealt with. At least he knew the doorman would make sure Tasean had no surprise guest this evening.
"Welcome to Chateau La'Walker" Tasean said as he ushered Andrew towards the buildings elevator. He grinned once more at Andrew as he pushed the button to bring the elevator down. He was seriously hoping to keep his hands off of the taller man, since he knew there were camera's in the elevator.
Normally under a social workers salary Tasean wouldn't be able to afford a place like this, but his parents had left him everything. And between the life insurance money, and the house that was being rented out back in North Carolina, Tasean could live comfortably, in the city.

The building was a nice one and seemed to suite Tasean perfectly. Living there wouldn't have been cheap though. Andrew decided not to continue that line of thought when he saw the conspiring smile and wink the doorman offered to Tasean just upon seeing Andrew with him. Andrew wasn't entirely sure how he felt about that but said nothing. His mind was busy processing the implications. While they weren't a couple by any stretch of the imagination Andrew wasn't sure how he felt about being another in a line, possibly a long one. After a few moments' contemplation, during which Tasean welcomed him to the place and called the elevator, Andrew decided it wasn't his place to care about such things.
At least in the immediate future he didn't see them becoming much more than what they were. That meant that it wasn't his place to worry about whoever else Tasean dallied with. Andrew wasn't comfortable with the implications the look the doorman had given them but it wasn't his place to inquire at all. Besides, it could all just be his imagination. Andrew decided to believe he'd imagined the look, rather than deal with the issue.
The elevator opened with a ding and Andrew walked into it. As much as he'd rather pick up where they'd left off he refrained. The elevator was still a bit too public for anything beyond what they'd done in the park.

Tasean simply looked at Andrew for the duration of the quick elevator ride to the fourth floor. When the elevator stopped and the doors open an elderly couple was waiting. Tasean stepped to the door, and made sure it remained open while they made their way onto the elevator and Andrew made his way off. He smiled at them, and nodded once as the elevator doors closed. Tasean then turned around, fishing his keys from his pockets as he lead Andrew to his apartment, the fifth door on the left side of the hallway.
He opened the door, and then stopped in the doorway, blocking Andrew from entry. As he had done every time he had come home since the attack at the Agency, Tasean used his mutant ability to check his apartment his eyes taking on that far away cast, his irises dancing with a multitude of colors. Every window in the place was open, washing his entire home with light, allowing him to use his particular gift to send his mind racing on the light, to see exactly what was in the house. After a thorough check, he stepped inside, his eyes refocusing, as he turned to bow to Andrew.
"Welcome to my most humble abode" he said grinning, making a grand display of ushering Andrew in.
Tasean's apartment was rather simply. The walls were a soft white, the furniture was a deep chocolate brown, decorated with a hint of gold here and there. The only pictures on the wall were landscape painting depicting meadows and groves of oak trees. Here and there an old lamp sat on a desk, or rested in a corner. Directly behind the front door a chest high bar separated the living room from the kitchen. Around the corner from the kitchen a hallway lead to the two bedrooms.
Tasean walked into the apartment, throwing of his shirt and entering the kitchen. "Can I get you anything? Water, soda, juice?" he asked his friend, planning to make Andrew as comfortable as possible.

The elevator ride was quiet. Tasean looked at him the entire time and Drew only returned the gaze about half that time. The other half was spent staring at the elevator or just generally staring into space. Eventually the doors opened to reveal an older couple. Nobody spoke but cordial nods were exchanged all around. They proceeded on to the apartment where Tasean stopped in the doorway, leaving Andrew to stand out in the hall and wonder what on earth he was doing? Trying to check for intruders maybe? It was a possibility but he certainly didn't care too much about it at the moment.
After some moments Tasean stepped aside with a grand gesture and a welcome. Andrew grinned at him and walked into the space. It was a nice place and seemed to suit the now shirtless man very well. Andrew made himself comfortable in a chair and answered the question from the kitchen.
"Water's fine. Nice apartment you've got here Tasean."
It was a fair piece bigger than his room at the mansion. But then Andrew's job was on premises and you couldn't say it didn't have nice amenities. Even if you did have to deal with the occasional roommate and the school kids. Plus his nervous baking habit really didn't get noticed there since most if not all of the products of it got ate at breakfast the in mornings. That was a lot more convenient than trying to palm it off back at the apartmenet near NYU. Now it was less a nervous habit than a routine. It kept him a lot calmer and kept the school supplied with various and sundry baked things.
Andrew cut off that train of thought. Why worry about that when there were other more pressing matters. Like the very attractive shirtless black man he'd just gone home with. That seemed important to him. He smirked at himself as his gaze drifted to kitchen.

Tasean closed the door to the refrigerator, to bottles of water in his hand. "Thanks Andrew. I try to keep the place looking nice" he said as he rounded the corner of the couch, to lounge spread eagle across the end. He tossed the bottle of water to Andrew, and took a look around the place. "Nothing compared to what my mom could do, but not to shabby I say"
He looked around the apartment, and then stopped, starring down the hallway that lead to his bedroom. "Of course the better parts of the place are in the back" he said, a slight smile beginning to creep across his face.
