The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Derek sits up, looking at her. "I understand why. I think we should try though. It was entirely bad." He says, smiling slightly as he puts his clothes back on.

"And so do you. But, then again, you look good in or out of anything." Derek says, standing and zipping his pants up. "There's still breakfast down there. Cold, but breakfast."
You made breakfast? That was sweet of you. *Ella says, a draw back of never having spent the night with someone is she's never woken up to breakfast made for her from a boyfriend. Granted when she was a child she never made any of her meals back home.* What did you make?
Sounds appealing. *Ella comments as she exits bed, since she didn't have clothes with her, she is in underwear and her shirt from last night, neither of which is quite what one would call modest.*
Derek thinks for a moment. "I...I think I may still have one of my wife's..." He says, clearing his throat. If there were anytime that Derek looked like he really loved someone, it would be now. "I'll look." He says, walking into his bedroom.
Oh, no don't-I mean I'll be fine. *Ella says uncomfortable with the situation and not wanting to wear his dead wife's robe.* I can just-throw back on my pants.
"Alright...I...I'll go warm up breakfast." He says, slowly walking down the stairs. He walks down to the kitchen, preparing a plate for Ella. He sets the plate in the microwave, and sits down at the table.
*Ella joins him after a trip to the bathroom and locating and putting on her pants. She joins him at the table.* You didn't by a chance make cafe au lait?
"No, sorry. I can, if you want." He offers. In a few moments, DING. "Well, breakfast is re-done." He says, standing and opening up the microwave door. He gets out her plate, setting it down in front of her. He walks over to a drawer, pulling out some silverware and setting them down beside her plate. "Spero che lo gradiate, il mio amore."
Lo apprezzo e quello era realmente corretto, il mio ragazzo dolce. *Ella says as she takes the silverware and tries out breakfast,* Not bad, yo can cook. Bieno! *Ella offers.*
