The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Derek returns late at night and goes right to bed, it's been a long night and he is tired.
The next morning, he wakes up and goes downstairs. It's early for anyone to show up for work, but still goes into his office. Another hours goes by, and no one shows up for work. "What the hell." Derek says to himself, looking at the clock on the wall and picking up his phone. He dials the number to one of his employees, and waits for an answer.
"This Jerry." A man answers.
"Why the hell isn't anyone here?" Derek asks, opbviously annoyed.
"Oh...you didn't know?"
"Know what?" Derek aks curiously.
"Well...we all got offered jobs at double the rate you pay us. We all left, Derek." Jerry says.
Derek hangs up the phone violently, and ends up throwing the whole thing against the wall. He calms down quickly, and starts to pace. "Well this is just great." Derek says, thinking about what he is going to do. He paces back and forth, back and forth, back and forth for what seems like forever.
When he's finally calmed down, he picks up the phone from the opposite side of the room, and replaces it on his desk. He goes to his filing cabinet and gets all of the current client's files. He has to call each and every one of them, informing them that he is out of business and that their money will be refunded for future servies that were already paid for.
After about an hour or so, he leans back in his chair, thinking. "What the hell am I supposed to do now?" Derek asks himself, he knows he can't afford to keep the business up by himself, and he can't afford to be The Archer without having a job. He can think of only one thing to do.

Derek gets up, walking to the living room and turning on the tv. He catches the end of a report saying something about The Archer working for Sable Enterprises. "Burn anything that can be connected from me to you."

"Yes." Derek says. "I'm starting not to like mutant kind, Mr. Sable." He says, starting to pace again. "Especially ones who have more strength than I do. And I'd watch out for a girl who can spurt acid out of her finger tips."

"A little bit. I've narrowed it down to a few different mob families, but I'm sure you already knew that." Derek says, still pacing. "I'll see what else I can do, but it wouldn't hurt hiring another investigator. Soon I won't have as much time."

"I will. Remember, dispose of anything that has my name on it, or anything of the same nature. I'll do the same." Derek says, going back to his office.

Derek hangs up his phone, sitting back down in his chair. He thinks about things and sighs. "Looks like The Archer is gonna go away for awhile." He says to himself.
