The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The van came to a stop in front of what Cree had to assume was Sanctuary. She stepped out of the van and couldn't help but marvel at the luxurious structure before her, surprised by it's elegance and magnitude. She thought to study every nook but was interrupted by a rush of helpers awaiting there arrival. Yet another surprise, so many mutants right there waiting for them and this was only the ones who were outside, she couldn't imagine all the powers they possessed let alone the ones she hadn't even seen yet. She glanced over at Aura happily amazed and noticed the pink glow around her, it was gorgeous. Cree envied those with a mutation you could actually see, she always thought it would be so great to literally wear your pride.
Then she snapped back to real life, this wasn't a field trip they were here because someone was hurt. She focused her attention back to Red.
>> Sorry, for being trouble. But...I must leave. Please.
Cree stood confused, shocked and a little annoyed. They rushed there to help her because she was injured and now she's just gonna trot off like nothing happened, no way.
"I'm sorry Red, I can't let you just leave I did this to you and now I'm gonna make sure you get help. I understand your vision is coming back and that's great, however I'm not sure you noticed but ummm you're head is gaping open and spilling blood soo lets go...NOW." Cree said passing Red's hand to the closest most qualified looking person available.
>>"I'm sorry Red, I can't let you just leave I did this to you and now I'm gonna make sure you get help. I understand your vision is coming back and that's great, however I'm not sure you noticed but ummm you're head is gaping open and spilling blood so lets go...NOW."
“No.” Ashley pushed the person that was holding her up arm away in a slight panic. Her vision was returning but she couldn't very well defend herself blind. She knew that if sh had to fight, she'd have to let someone touch her, and the prospect wasn't too inviting. “Don't wanna.”
The wounds from Isabel's rejection were much to fresh, and being this close to The Sanctuary was like rubbing salt on the wound. The feeling of seeing her in such a state made her chest constrict painfully. For some reason she heard Isabel's mocking laughter in her head, and as another hand grabbed Ashley's arm she lashed out, expertly elbowing the person in the face before stumbling away blindly.
“Can't go!!” she yelled. “Just...no!! please, lemme go!!”
She didn't care of she had to go blind. She wasn't setting foot in The Sanctuary until she knew Isabel was gone. And even then she was pretty sure she would just curl up in some random alley and wait for her vision to return before going back to the place that reminded her of the bonemancer that broke her heart.
Aura tilted her head at the reaction and shrugged. "I believe our friend's wound maybe worse then we thought" she said looking back to Cree. This only served to enhance Aura's bleive this red head needed help. The idea of such fear of these gates had not even crossed Aura's mind, nor did the idea their might be an actual reason she did not wnat to go in. Aura walked over to whare the Doctor was taking red from cree and smiled to her.
"You will be free to go, but that wound needs to be seen to, and im not sure were quite in range of anyware else now." she said worrying that it had been a bit of time since the wound and it still looked bad to Aura. Aura briefly considered clubbing rythem just hard enough to knock her out, but she decided against it, it seemed the wrong thing to do and Aura feared it might give rythem a real reason to fear the wonderful golden doors.
Aura looked around, the Medical staff sure seemed to think the wound was serious and Aura knew they were well trained. "Strange, she seemed so much calmer before, maybe it is shock?" Aura said considering the girl was still semi blind. The idea of having her own vision taken was one she did not like. She recalled a fight with a light manipulator so many moons ago.
