The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

*The door to the War Room opened after Tricity had been rushing around to introduce new students, get dinner, and make phone calls. She was absentmindedly looking down at her clipboard when she came in.* "I'm sorry I'm late guys. I was..." *She looked up and saw the room in disarray with Daria and Mike under the table, looking surprised to see Tricity.* "Oh God...no...you...did not use this room...for your...get the hell out from under there!!"
"There was a rat. A giant rat," Mike said, climbing out, and finally noticing the state of his shirt. He shrugged on his jacket in a belated effort to hide the fact. "We tried to get it, but it was really fast, and kept running under furniture."
The chairs righted themselves with a telekinetic wave, scooting into the table.
"So, about the museum," he said, a mildly hopeful tone in his voice as he and Daria took their seats, looking all business... or at least as 'all business' as they could.

Daria scrambled out behind Mike, trippingover her untied shoelace and landing purposefully in a chair next to Mike. She ran a hand through her braids and and smiled slightly.
"Um, yeah...museum?" she repeated. She wondered if the Wolf-Girl had told about the fight. She didn't want to be in trouble for two things at once.
*Tricity stood at the head of the table, glaring at the two of them while she slammed her papers down. She was trying to hold her anger back as best she could since it wasn't particularly good for the baby, but the hormones were raging and they deserved the yelling.* "A RAT!? Should have been easy enough for a CAT to sniff it out or maybe a telepath to make it STOP!! Do you think I'm an IDIOT?! Technically the two of you each have THREE STRIKES. Both of you were fighting on the front lawn, Cass's incident at the court hourse, Daria, you're fight with the new student, and now the two of you under the damn table in a room meant to PROTECT OTHERS! Do you understand the importance of what is about to happen?! This mission will determine if we and the people we love are controlled by a psycho manic general to do GOD KNOWS WHAT!! I SHOULD REVOKE YOUR MEMBERSHIP TO THE X-MEN AND KICK YOU BOTH OUT OF THE MANSION!!" *The electronics in the room were flickering on and off while she was ranting on and eventually the sound of the power cut off and the three were left in darkness for a few moments until the back up system came on. Tricity sighed with annoyance just as her radio beeped.* john: "Ms. Tipper?? The power cut off upstairs and..." "I KNOW JOHN!!" *With that, the electricity came back on once more.* "You two are so unbelievable...I have nothing to say..." *She suddenly got extreme pains in her stomach and had to quickly grasp the table, as not to fall.*
A hundred replies flashed through Mike's mind. He'd defended the mansion at risk of his life, almost been killed, had had more traumatic experiences helping these people than he cared to recall. But frankly, that HAD been a stupid stunt... and now they'd got Tricity livid.
"I'm sorry," he said quietly and simply, letting light calming waves into her mind to keep from stressing her out too badly considering her pregnancy, but letting her remember, completely, that she was pissed at them. "It's been a messed-up month, and we made a very messed-up decision coping with it all. It won't happen again."

Daria wasn't as thoughtful and her immediate reply was defensive.
"Why is the Kage thing a strike? The guy morphed into a dragon! It was self defense and so was the whole wolf thing! she came at me first and called me Kitty! Yeah I was going to walk away until then, why do I get blamed? I wasn't even going to hurt the bitch at first I was just dodging but she- " Daria took a deep breath "So, not my fault! This, on the other hand," she motioned at the room. "This I'll take responsibility for. I'm sorry about that."
*Tricity sat down in a slump in the chair, not really listening to Daria as she felt Cassiel in her head.* "STOP IT, MIKE!!" *She didn't want him invading her head right now. After some awkward silence and pain subsiding, Tricity took a deep breath and was glad that agonizing bit was over. She pulled the papers closer to her and then took the pen from her hair to make notes. Calmly, but with an annoyed tone, Tricity started with what they were really there for.* "We're either going after the stone during the day or at night. Whitmore can easily get the stone during the day without any problems by simply requesting it because of his authoratative postion in the government. At night, he doesn't need to worry about our stopping him. I think we'll need to steal it during the day or have to meet him head on. Problem is, if we leave the mansion, he's threatened to have it invaded by his men. What are your thoughts?"
"Well, we have the jump on him, since Daria could teleport us there without him knowing it immediately. If we can make a decoy, we could conceivably take the stone within a few minutes, and be back here very quickly. THis is, of course, if we can make a decoy. If not, it gets touchy, since the missing stone would be noticed, but as for performance and time constraints, it's not really much different. We teleport in, I take care of the people nearby, you take care of the security systems, and Daria does the acquiring."

Daria noded.
"Don't even have to touch anything now." she said dryly still a bit upset. She motioned to one of the extra chairs and teleported it to te other side of the room and back.
"I hear you, babe," Mike thought to Daria, sensing her mood. "I'm pissed about it right now too, but we'll have it out with her when nerves aren't running so high. I know I will, at least."
"The stone isn't sitting out in the open. It's sitting in a small case, around ropes, heavily guarded by personnel and cameras. We can't just smash the case open...Nor can I expect you to enter the minds of ever single person in the surrounding area when we are teleported inside the museum to where the exibit is. That's too risky."
"But I can. I can make them leave the room for various reasons, you can disrupt the electronics, and Daria can teleport it out of its case. That's the plan we've come up with so far... although if you've got a better one, that works for us too," Mike said coolly.
"Like I was saying, Whitmore doesn't need to sneak in at night to steal it. He can just ask for it during the day and I have the feeling it will be as soon as possible, thus being during the day. He may do it tomorrow for all we know." *She sat back in the chair to think a moment.* "There's no way to make a convincing replica. I've done some homework on the stone...which was why I was late." *Tricity took the radio from her belt.* "Johnathon, can you ask Ruruki and Desiree to come to the War Room please?"
