The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Nail could tell Fade was trying to take it easy. Who offers coffee when your about to go get you ass beat? He didn't mind it though. She was definetly helping him calm down. Coming here with very little information was putting him on edge, cause he wasn't sure what he would have to be facing.
The other blonde woman named Deathstar seemed alittle more strait to the point. She got up a went into danger room. Nail was right behind her. For all the nervousness that he had, he still wanted to get through all this as fast as possible. The sooner he waqs one of the x-men, the sooner he could find Kaz and the other Order members and beat the snot out of them.
In prepareation, Nail didn't stretch, but focused on his forams and shins. His exoskelitons formed well. He now had a diamond set of shin gaurds, bracers, and very sharp looking blades. He twirled the latter around alittle. He wasn't the best at using blades really. Considering the hilts were litterally apart of his palm, he could do anything fancy really. And even though the blades were thin, they still seemed quite heavy and unbalanced. He would have to find a better way to use his exoskeliton eventually.

<"One of these days, I've GOT to get a watch...."> Neena thought to herself. It was her life's goal, or at least that's what she constantly told herself. She told herself this every time she found herself running to an appointment ten minutes late, or answering a call from someone she was supposed to meet half an hour ago. And every time, the instant she arrived, the thoughts of buying watches vanished with her apologetic smile, only to be revived with the next delayed arrival. Maybe she should start saying, One of these days, I GOT to figure out how my cellphone alarm works.....
She entered the Observation Room at a run, and skidded to a stop, just short of running into someone. "Orre! Ma bag," she apologized through the apple currently stuck in her mouth, since her pack and arms were full of water bottles. The smell of coffee reached her before she saw it, but the effect was the same. She deposited her load on the nearest empty space, then made a beeline for the pot, removing the apple on the way.
"Fade, Deathstar, I love you both," she said as she began filling up a cup with sugar. Once it was half full, she added the coffee on top of it, no cream. She made a dramatic sigh. "Life is complete," she teased.
She took a moment to get her bearings. She noticed James right away and waved a greeting at him. "Hiya Vanishing Man. How are ya?" Then she turned back to Fade. She hadn't had a chance to really sit down and talk with the girl, but Tricity had spoken highly of her, so she was eager to get to know her better, as well as Deathstar. Plus she wanted to see how the teens worked with each other as well. While concern and worry were not things Neena could feel, with the threat of the Registration Bill looming overhead, she knew these kids were going to need to be ready. And she intended to be one of the ones to help them prepare.
"So," she said to Fade as she watched Deathstar lead the others down into the main room, "What have you got planned for them?" She found that she recognized quite a few of the group.

Ted got up and swung his arms. He tried some of the stretches that he still remembered from rugby, and then followed the others into the danger room. He noticed Neena fly in, largly because she flew into him. Almost. "Hey Neena!" He then trotted after the other mutants into the danger room, marvelling as one of them caused crystallike armour and swords to appear on him. Way cool. Should I try and transform now, or wait? He decided to wait, reasoning that if it was difficult enough for him to get hurt, then he would transform anyway.
Realising that he might be injured seriously by most people's standards but able to transform and continue, he thought it best to mention it to Deathstar. He ran up next to her, "Hey Deathstar, just so you know, my power activates when I'm injured. So don't worry too much about me, as being injured could well be a good thing. The phrase 'What doesn't kill you, makes you stronger', is very literal for me." He gave her a grin. He didn't want someone to haul him out when he was about to pull out the metaphrical big guns.
Deja quickly smiled, as she entered. "These techniques that Proffesor gave me should help me use my abilities awake. Deja then sat down , and started breathing and concentrating, trying to be one with her power. "I want the dream now, I want to dream awake." Deja then decided to do more breathing excersises before class began.

Daisake watched everybody get ready for the class session. " I hope i dont mess up, i dont want to let anybody down " dai thought to himself cracking his neck then moving it in a circle motion. he jumped up and down breathing in and out.
Looking up toward the danger room observation desk . he gave a grin as he looked toward the others. "Hey everybody GOOD LUCK!!" he said loudly. dai was indeed getting excited for what was to come.

Nicki ran through the halls as fast as she could. She wasn't good with timing. She thought that she had left the gym with plenty of time but sure enough, she hadn't. She had been so busy trying to make sure she could get in to the XMen (she knew her powers were okay but she wasn't the strongest person and she was trying to help with that) that she made herself run late. She just hoped she could make it in.
She slammed the door of the danger room open, amazed to see half of the mansion there. She panted slowly. "Am I too late?" she asked.

Tricity walked into the Danger Room quite late and saw that Fade and Deathstar were here getting things together with the new prospectives. 'Thank God for them,' she thought, already holding her giant mug of coffee and walking over to them. Tricity didn't want to seem intimidating to the people trying out for the team. She remembered when it was her time to try out in front of Charles Xavier... the creator of the X-Men. DAMN! Heart attack city. She was so nervous, the program kept shutting down in the Danger Room and would have to be restarted because her powers were so out of whack. Thankfully, things turned out well after that.
"Hey, girlies, how ya doin?" she asked, sitting in one of the huge leather chairs on wheels and rolling up to the large observation window next to her teammates to see all the folks downstairs. "Sorry I'm late. Charlene forgot she was supposed to be baby-sitting for Tristan today...Wow, what a turn out. Wasn't expecting so many." She mentally started the Danger Room program to the most basic level 1 traingin program. It would be sending out robots for melee attacks only in the lovely background of New York City streets.
Tricity pulled the god-mic down and spoke into it so the others downstairs could hear her from above. "Hi everyone. Just a reminder, don't overexert yourselves and work together. If you get into any type of trouble, the program will be shut down immediately and we'll get you out.. This will be one of a few observations we'll be making, so don't think this session is your only in. Good luck!" She turned the mic off and sat back, grabbing her own clipboard of notes to take too. "Shall we? Computer, begin program."
IC: Tristan jogged through the subbasment towards the Danger Room, "Dammit i know i'm late." He walked up to the door and opened it, walking inside he looked around, "What did i miss."

Michael readied himself for what ever was going to come out at them. Teamwork seemed to be a key point, so he figured time to find a partner. “Ok,” he announced to everyone, “for those who don’t know I’m the ultimate defence as I’m invincible, but I don’t have any offensive powers. So, if someone has good attack but wants to avoid being hit say so now and I’ll team up with you and keep the robots off you while you break them.”

(OOC: Someone tell me if I God-Mod without realising it please )
Ted grinned as Tricity spoke down towards them. He marvelled at the way the Danger Room shifted to what appeared to be the streets of New York, and made a mental note to practise changing the setting. He noticed some robots come out of the alleyways, and they weren't being exactly subtle with thier intentions. A few of them seemed armed with crowbars and baseballs bats, no biggie.
He edged closer to one of them, restraining himself from running after the advice that the headmistress had given them. It tried to jump him, but a swift punch to the stomach sent it flying into a wall. It collapsed, and he spun aroud to face another. He kicked that one, knocking it into one of its friends. This is fun! He ducked a swipe from a baseball bat weilding robot, and then caught the baseball bat. He kicked the robot away, and was left holding the bat. Ooh, the fun I can have with this. He ran into the biggest group of them he could find, and began laying out with the baseball bat, half-hoping one of them would hit him and make him transform. Then he'd show them what he could really do.
Deja began finishing her breathing excercising, looking a the other's she smiled. "Hi guys, If something bad is about to happen, I got your back!" Deja then concentrated, since shes been doing this nonstop. Deja then became her military self, with two guns, and a wicked knife."Time for action!" Deja quickly scurried her way to a group of these soldiers. In her military self, it boosted her confidence, and expertise. Deja quickly noticed three coming at her. She quickly shot all three of them in an instance. All of a sudden, one grabbed her from the back. She then, hit it in the gut and shot it. Deja then turned around and smiled. "Lets get this thing started. She then ran to the immovable object guy. "I got your back, you got mines!" Deja then smiled, as she began pulverizing these robots with her bullets, but, at the same time concentrating. Then all of a sudden, she heard a sound of projectiles, and she lost her focus, for just a couple of seconds, and her guns were gone. The robots had her cornered and were about to shoot her. She then started to go up into a little ball, closing her eyes.

Calley
((ooc: Continued from “Syn’s Room”; posted with Computer Nerd's permission to have three threads goin' at once. *pauses to grin at all your shining faces, then gets to postin’*))
There was one thing in this world that made everything better. Calley hadn’t been aware of this before. Horribly failed a mission? Currently dodging a Violent Scary Boss Man? Running on a few hours of sleep and minimal meals after nearly a week of having a psychopathic doctor mess with your mind? Why, son, here’s the solution for you:
Become an X-Man!
It was just too funny. As he skittered—in human form, thank you—towards the Danger Room, he couldn’t possibly stay in a bad mood. Even if Charles’ last words to him before dropping him off a few blocks away had been, “Mister Antonescu will want to speak to you, kid. ...You really should go back to the labs.” And what Charles had meant had been, “You’re so dead I’m not even bothering to bring you back myself. Enjoy your last lark at the Mansion, annoying shifter boy.”
Impending death got you down? Become an X-Man!
Calley had showed up at the Mansion gates as another group of buzzing students was hurrying through. He’d hurried to join their hurrying, and had listened in to their buzzing all the way to the Mansion door, after happily greeting a few of them, introducing himself as a new student. By the way, Mansion security? Kinda lax. But the people sure were nice. And talkative. The current topic of chatter? Become an X-Man!
You didn’t have to tell Calley twice.
He skittered down the hallway, and through the open Danger Room door—nice of them to leave it open for him—sliding to a halt just inside. It would be too funny if he actually did become an X-Man. He wasn’t expecting it. But at the least, he’d be catching any upcoming Kodak moments from these applicants—not to mention all their shining faces—on his necklace-cam. It might just make Hunter happy. Want to redeem yourself with the baddies? Become an X-Man!
There were... robots. Calley sort of spun and side-stepped his way past them, occasionally ducking and/or flipping casually to get out of the way of their weapons. Wouldn't want to bother their weapons, after all. This agility wasn’t his mutant ability--this was just years of acrobatic experience as a cat shinning through. He had a bit of a bemused expression on his face as he ran around a fellow teenager having way too much fun with a baseball bat, and approached a random person in the room.
“So... I’m runnin’ a bit late. What did I miss?” He smiled bemusedly as he asked this, ducking a robot-wielded crowbar without seeming the least bit concerned. Robots ain’t got nothin’ on the Scary Boss Man. Or on Scary Violent Syn.

At least, Ted had planned to start laying about with the baseball bat. But, as soon as he got close, one of them got a lucky punch to the stomach. This left him winded, and floored. Not fun. Until the fur began to spread. Yay! Now, if only someone could keep these guys off of my back until I transform all the way... As his physical transformation finished, his mental one had just begun.
As expected, he was back in his cage, and there was the door. He found the lock, and noticed happily that it was smaller than last time. Could only be a good thing. He grabbed hold of it, andbegan to yank away in an attempt to break it.
Outside, his body lay motionless on the floor, as the robots decided to pick on some mutants that were more than just a trip hazard. At the moment.

”Now this is turning into a real party,” Neena remarked, waving hello at Ted as he joined the others down below. She smiled and bowed when Tricity walked in. ”Miss Tipper! Good to see you. Everything going okay for you?”
As the simulation began, she glanced at Tricity. ”Would you mind if I join the group down there? I’d like to get a close up observation, preferably without them knowing it.” She held up one of the cloaking bands she’d had Mettaliar using during his session. She waited for permission before donning the band, grabbing a clipboard, then activating the device. Her presence vanished from visible sight.
She made her way down in among the action, careful to avoid touching anyone. She used her telescopic sight so she could get close enough to observe unseen, but not to get in anyone's way.

Michael smiled at the girl who made weapons as a robot punched him in the head. Unperturbed he head butted the robot back, leaving it looking a little dazed and confused. Looking back to the girl he saw her cornered and dashed to help. Throwing himself in front of her he spread his arms and focused.
The clubs and crowbars hit him but he didn’t move. Grinning he relaxed his focus and hit one of them. Spotting the guy who was bobbing and weaving he called out to him (Calley) “Hey, if you got a power that’ll get rid of these guys, now would be a good time.” He blocked another strike at the girl, but this time he wasn’t focused and got driven back a little. Unless someone started knocking the robots out they’d get past him to the girl as he could block, but not really fight back.
