The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Raina found herself alone in the cold sterile Danger Room. She wasn't worried about any settings- for now she needed to channel all this energy she'd built up spending time with Rupert.
She'd figured out from her last visit here, that her agility and balance was pretty good. She resolved that because her mutation was not well enough developed, she would practice her physicial abilities.
Raina needed to be better, if anything like Iris happened again.
She started off with simple stretches. Then she moved to more complex Tai Chi like movements.
Her muscles had tightened in the few weeks she'd been here. She still didn't have a lot of strength, but her endurance was getting better.
After about half an hour of intense stretching, she whiped the sweat from her face and looked around wondering if she could find anyone to run the controls for her.

Michael wondered into the danger room and saw Raina stretching. Smiling he called out, “Hey Raina, how are you?” By that he meant in regards to Rupert. He was a little wary of the cop, especially since seeing the photo of Emerald, but had decided if he made Raina happy then that was all that mattered.
Having seen Raina’s stretches he wondered if she’d be willing to do a danger room session with him. He’d never needed to stretch, as his mutation meant he couldn’t pull a muscle, but it did warm you up so you could react a little faster. But seeing as nothing they could throw at him would hurt him, well, almost nothing, he wasn’t worried.

Raina spun around and spotted Micheal. She smiled, and was positvely glowing. From head to toe, Raina looked so a glow. "Hi Micheal!" she said with one final stretch. "Told ya I'd be better today!" she beamed. She bounced around a bit before dashing over to him.
"hey you feel like training?" I'm trying to build up my endurance, and agility and all that jazz. I've just been sorta doing jumping jacks and things... I'm not very strong and that's ok... but I'm trying to gain more physical ability since I can't really use my mutation often. " she looked hopefully at the young man for a responce.
She was still smiling the whole time with a sparkle in her eye. It wasn't hard to tell she was head over heels in love.

Michael decided that either Raina had drunk a dozen cups of coffee before coming to train or she was really falling for this cop. Smiling back he nodded as he stepped further into the room.
“Sure, I’m up for a session,” he said, “my physical ability could do with some work too, plus the second bit of my power, the whole immobility thing, it needs work. So far I’ve managed to do it twice, once when hit by a truck and once when hit by Ted.”

Raina laughed. "I dont know what I'll do if I ever see a furry Ted. It might ruin my whole image of him." she giggled again her musical giggle.
"Ok, well, why dont we set up an obstacle course? I'm not too familiar with how this place works because I really only watched last time I came here... but a few 'jumping through hoops' moments would do us good, then we can move on to harder things."
She motioned to the so far blank field infront of them.

Neena jogged down the hallway toward the Danger Room. She'd spent much longer than she'd intended in the kitchen, but her stomach had refused to let her leave without at least tasting the food. And one taste had lead to another, and another. And another.... Okay, so it was a little more than a 'taste' that had kept her there. On the positive side, she hadn't realized she was hungry until after she was full and satisfied. On the not-so-positive side.... now she wanted a nap...
She skidded around the corner and down the hallway, hoping Raina hadn't yet left. Neena was hoping the woman's throat was soothed enough to let her sing; she was really looking forward to hearing her chant. Just before reaching the door, she popped a piece of gum in her mouth, just in case. Not that she was planning on getting in anyone's face, but you couldn't be too careful, especially after eating Italian.
The door slid open and she slipped inside. Raina was talking to a young man Neena hadn't yet met. She paused, breathing a bit heavily, and grinned.
"Sorry Raina. Lunch was a bit more interesting than I expected." She waved hello to the teen, removing her glasses as she did.

Michael sort of shrugged at the suggestion, “Likewise, I don’t exactly know what buttons do what, the only times I’ve been in here it’s been with people trying to kill me, so I was less concerned about the programs. But and obstacle course sounds fun.”
When the door opened her turned to see a woman enter. Waving back he called out, “Hi, names Michael or Shield, whichever you prefer. We’re about to give a session a try if we can work out how to turn it on, care to join us?” The two women obviously knew one another, so the newcomer was either a new resident, or possibly a staff member.

"Shield, this is Neena, she's the new teacher. She can run the controls for the session." she smiled pointing out Neena and waving. "Neena I think we want to do a few obstacle like training sessions. Just basic, and maybe move up to flaming hoops." she joked. "Need to work on agility and speed. I'm trying to develope my physical ability."

Neena held out her hand as she was introduced. "Pleasure to meet you Shield. Hm, interesting nickname," she remarked with a smile, and added curiously, "Anything to do with your mutation, perhaps?"
"Neena I think we want to do a few obstacle like training sessions. Just basic, and maybe move up to flaming hoops. Need to work on agility and speed. I'm trying to develope my physical ability."
"Ah! Flaming hoops are fun, especially if they're chasing you." She wasn't totally teasing, and wondered if that simulation was in this Room's programming as well. "Okay, let's see what we can whip up for you both."
She moved toward the stairs and up to the Observation Room, and began going through some of the basic training programs, flipping on the GodMike as she sat down, so her voice echoed in the main room.
"Speed and agility, eh? That should be easy enough.... How 'bout a game of Paintball Dodge Ball? Ooo, I think I might join in on that one... Hmm..." She turned to Michael. "How 'bout you Shield? Anything in particular you'd like to try out?"

Michael listened to the rapidly forming plan for the session with interest. Obstacle course with flaming hoops, sounded fun. When asked if he wanted anything specific he paused for a moment in thought, then decided that he needed a better handle on his immobility.
“Could you fire large heavy objects at me?” he asked, then realised it was an odd request so added, “My mutation makes me invincible, can’t be hurt by physical stuff. So far the only thing that has ever hurt me is electricity, and I’ve been shot, stabbed and ran over several times. A couple of times I’ve become immovable, so whatever is hitting me comes to a dead halt, so I want to try to work on that.”
Deja heard sounds from the Danger room , as she was drinknig a soda, in her blue shorts, and red T-shirt. She made her way down there, especially after all the praticing, she's been doing, she decided to see whats up. As she entered, she noticed, three others. One was a guy, the other two was girls, both she met. "Oh hi, sorry to intrude, if I'm bothering you, I can head back up!" Deja then looked curiously, at what they were doing.

Neena glanced at him over the top of her glasses. "Now that is a handy mutation to have. Now the nickname makes sense. I'll see what I can do," she added with a grin.
"Oh hi, sorry to intrude, if I'm bothering you, I can head back up!" Deja entered the room, and Neena waved her in.
"Hiya Deja. No bother, no bother at all, come on in. Just trying to set up a session for Raina and Shield to try out. How're you are settling in?"
To Shield she added a question, "How large of objects are we talking? Chair sized? Car-sized? Bigger?"
To Raina she asked, "How good are you with a weapon?" She didn't want to put Raina in any extra danger during this course, but at the same time an extra little adrenaline rush could be used to her advantage.

Michael paused in thought for a moment as he decided what sized object should be fired at him. It had to be big enough to move him, but not so big it flung him across the room every time his concentration failed. Eventually he settled on a size.
“Chair size will do for now,” he said with a grin, “Walk before you run and all that.” When the new girl entered he turned and gave her a friendly smile. “Hi, Deja was it? I’m Michael or Shield, whichever you prefer.”

ooc: sorry it took me so long guys, things have been happening and all...

Raina looked a little nervous "I didnt mean actual flaming hoops..." she said under her breath. She listened to the ideas and decided everything sounded good. "Well, Sheild, what if I work on agility and you work on defence. You could be my shield against th objects. We'd have to work on moving togeather, timing, dexterity. It would be perfect for team work drills. Teach me to land on my feet." she said with a wink.

As they spoke, Neena began fiddling with the computer console controls, her grin slowly widening. Finally she nodded.
"Okay, how 'bout this?" She hit a button that began the Danger Room's area warp. A track racing area began to form below, complete with spectator stands. From various parts of the ground and stands rose metal beams. Two metal spheres, about six feet in diameter, chained to the poles reminiscant of tether ball poles.
"Okay, object of this course is to tag all of those metal spheres with a paintball," she explained. "But the trick is that they will be moving around randomly, making them hard to hit. Also the course is timed. If you team right, it should test both of your abilities rather well." Even as she spoke, the 'tetherballs' began swinging in circles, every now and then tilting to one side or the other, like an amusement park ride. Neena went to a locker and pulled out a paintball gun, and held it out to Raina.
