The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

The doors had just opened when Ted slammed him into the centre of the danger room. Michael turned to see Ted running at him, and was just on his feet when Ted threw him upwards and into the ceiling. Michael slammed into the ceiling, and was impressed and finally took the time to be impressed.
And Ted’s beast form certainly was impressive. It had smashed him through various wall and ceilings, tossed him around like he weighed nothing and moved faster than Michael could. These thoughts were interrupted as Ted hit him on the way down.
Instead of hitting the floor he was smacked across into the wall instead. Sliding down into a sitting position he saw the doors slide close and smiled. He’d done it, and no one had gotten hurt. Well, at least not by Ted. He had no idea what Iris was doing up above, but until Ted changed back he had to trust that Mettaliar had it covered.

The predator noticed that the prey had stopped running, and assumed that it had finally been injured. At last, the beast stepped up to its prize, and raised its hand for a final blow. But then, the pain in its back finally subsided, and it snarled angrily as it dropped to its knees. Its skull shifted shape, its muzzle shrinking backward as it shrank in size, then claws retracting back into the paws that were rapidly becomeing hands. The bones made horribly painful noises as they shifted shape, and the tail shrank back into its spine. Finally, the fur rippled as it seemed to move backward, leaving Ted, panting for breath. "Wha...what happened? Why am I here?" Then his last conscious memory leapt at him; he had transformed! "Did I hurt anyone? Oh God, please say I didn't hurt anyone." Then he remebered something else from when he transformed. "Raina! Please tell me she is all right!" He grabbed Micheal by the shoulders, shaking him for the answer, screaming the question inti his face. "Tell me I didn't hurt her!"

Michael smiled broadly as Ted began to change back, tough he winced at the sound. The transformation seemed nothing short of painful. When back to himself Ted grabbed him and started shaking him.
“Calm down Ted!” Michael said, gripping Ted’s shoulders back, “It’s alright, you didn’t hurt anyone. After a little persuasion from some rock you only attacked me, and I brought you here to calm down.”
“Now, in getting here we caused some serious damage, including totalling the library and a classroom, but we have much bigger problems. A girl called Iris, who is apparently a resident here, is outside going ballistic. I need to get back out there and see if I can help the others.”
“What I need you to do is to get the infirmary and help out where you can. If you see Iris, run the other way, as I’m getting tired and don’t know if I can keep you distracted a second time.”
That was true getting Ted down here had been exhausting. While it didn’t look it, continually picking yourself up off the floor over and over was tiring, not to mention all the running. he took a brief look at his clothes and saw the multitude of rips and tears, but he himself was without a sratch.

Thankful that he didn't hurt anyone, Ted collapsed to his knees. "Oh thank God." Ted was exhausted too; all the spent energy of smashing some through walls repeatedly had gotten to him. "Yeah, you go, deal with the psycho girl. I'll go check on Raina." Despite his exhaustion, Ted heaved himself towards the door, and remembering the instructions given to him just before he transformed, he forced himself to jog down the corridor and made his way to the infirmary.

Michael took a brief pause to get his breath back before heading out of the danger room after Ted. From what he’d seen before Ted knocked him through a wall those guys could use all the help they could get. Setting off at a steady jog he headed for the stairs.
