Koga clung to the building with his feet and hands, his back to a wall, He was sick of this…it was a new year. He had been under this old man’s control for months, and he had a new year’s resolution, stop the man, or die trying. He over looked the street before him with irritation. Doing his wicked bidding was growing old. The man had thought to reward him with letting him have time to himself and not worry about returning as fast as he could, He assumed the man thought he had given up, excepted life for what it was. Koga would never truly accept it, particularly when he sent him to do things like this.
What evil task was he up to tonight? Blackmail, a woman that the master was fond of was sneaking around on her husband, and the master thought that she should be sneaking around with him. why he didn’t just mind control her and be done with it, he didn’t know. He certainly didn’t have morals, so that couldn’t be it. no the man wanted to black mail her into a relationship, it was control in another way. And so Koga set on the wall of a ritzy hotel with a video camera over his shoulder filming what happened in the room behind him. He didn’t look, didn’t want to look. He had a digital camera hanging around his neck that had proof of how the woman got from the apartment to the hotel.
He now knew who the man was, that she meeting. Koga knew that apparently neither of them had the least of cares for their significant others. They had laughed about the “Idoit and the stupid tramp” that they had no idea. That was before they started in with the foul fornication that was taking place behind him. Koga wanted to vomit. He wanted no part of this yet, like a dog after a duck he fetched when the master commanded. They stopped abruptly as a phone rang, the woman answered and after a moment they continued…she hadn’t hung up.

On the sidewalk below, unaware of all that happened up high, Lenna walked, coat clenched close to neck, to stave off the January chill. Another year had passed by, and so many changes had occurred, both in how she thought about herself, and how she thought about the world. Her goals had shifted. They'd mutated and melded with her ideals. There were several things that would become clear in the new year... but that'd have to come with time.
Lenna had a resolution. She wasn't telling anyone yet, except those closest to her when she'd realized. Everyone else wouldn't know until it was too late to change a thing.
