The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Fiona looked at Kesuk and wondered just how he was going to react when all of a sudden he was risen into the air looking like something out of a comic book, complete with glowing eyes and boundless fury.
"Now I've gone and done it..." said Fiona, but before she could move she was gripped with a feeling of intense fury.
She felt like killing, she felt like she needed to release, she felt despair, and she felt incredible anger. All she could focus on was death and inflicting it. These feelings pulsated in and out of her, knocking all of her normal senses out. 'What the hell is going on?!' she thought to herself worriedly, her normal sense being fear and self preservation, the other emotions going crazy within her body and mind. She felt everything from anger to happiness to fear to relief, and then incredible pain as hard rain and hail pelted her. She screamed as a giant chunk of hail slammed into her shoulder, and she heard a sickening snap near her ear.
The pain was blinding her, but the fury that came in and out of her blocked the pain in small increments--thus she didn't get the luxury of simply passing out. Looking around her, she then realized people had come down from the Observation Deck. All of a sudden, the hail stopped, and when Fiona looked up she noticed it had all been contained in a a crystalline barrier that had Fiona been in another situation she would have admired. As rapidly as the onslaught of emotions entered her, they left her as she heard Kesuk rapidly apologizing to her.
"It's... It's okay.." she said, as she fell to her knees and then face forward onto the ground, feeling the cold of the wet ground against her face. The only thing going through her mind was the pain in her body, which had gripped her from her shoulder all the way down her back. Upon looking at Fiona's body, bruises were seen all over her, down her back, on her arms, on her legs, even her hands. Blackness engulfed her momentarily, when she realized that she was probably going to be taken to a doctor.
Now, they say that when raw fear grips someone, they can do anything. Fiona felt the fear course through her veins and she knew she had to get out of there. "Have to get up..." she mumbled to herself, and used her uninjured arm to push herself back up. On all fours, she panted, but she still hoped to convince them to leave her alone.
"Wow, that was one hell of a fight... I'm okay everyone, thanks for asking." she said weakly, but nodded to everyone, trying to feign being okay.
Smiling, she stayed on all fours, trying to hold back the involuntary tears form the pain in her shoulder.
Kesuk seen the 2 people come down and one of them had an uncapped pen to the underside of his chin. Kesuk felt insulted with this guy and the guy tried to talk to him about control.
"I couldnt help it, it must have been something with her mutation. One moment i felt i could trust my life with her then the next she was attacking me, i became full of rage." Kesuk said walking around the guy and toward fiona.
"Fiona.... you dont have to pretend your alright. I know what it feels like to be hit with hail, i lived in alaska. you should probably go see a doctor or something" Kesuk said while turning to the 2 other people. "Is there a doctor at this school?" Kesuk asked.
Then Kesuk tried to help Fiona to her feet by grabbing her arm on the side where he didnt kick her shoulder." Its gonna be ok. And again im sorry.... i dont know what came over me. Its like... you betrayed me i dunno how i thought that especially since i just met you." Kesuk said
Fiona's eyes widened as Kesuk mentioned doctors. "No, no, I'm totally alright!" she said, and used his help to stand up. "See? Look." and with that she spun around, and raised her left arm (conveniently the one that wasn't injured).
Smiling to her small crowd, she looked to Kesuk with pity. "I'm sorry Kesuk, I should have known you'd go haywire, I've seen those effects happen before. And honestly, I know how you felt... I somehow felt your emotions within me. I've felt what people feel before, and I know how hard it was for you to control yourself." she said, and winced as she accidentally spoke with her hands.
"Damn Italian habit." she said, and laughed.
Mustering all the control she possessed, she began to walk to wards the exit. Turning back, she looked to the others. "I don't know how to turn this damn thing off, so, if you guys could..." she said, and smiled.
Turning back away from them, she wiped a tear from her cheek as she tried to control the pain that ran through her. Her right shoulder was definitely dislocated and badly hurt in the ligaments and tissues. "God, I hope I didn't tear anything..." she whimpered, and began to climb the stairs slowly. Her hearing was sharp listening for the sounds of anyone around her, and she began to formulate different excuses to get away from seeing a medical practitioner.

Kaz got up and let the boy pass him. Standing still as they exchanged looks, he kept a critical eye on the girl. <That arm seems really messed up.> After her little spin, Kaz decided to follow her when she left. Though before he did, he stopped and looked at the boy, and the girl who had gone down the stairs ahead of him. He almost said something but decided to keep his mouth shut.
He didn't keep it a secret that he was trying to catch up with Fiona, and by his footsteps it seems like he wanted her to know he was coming. As he neared her, he called to her. "Ya wanna know what helps a lot for that? Alcohol. Totally dulls the pain receptors." As he got even closer to her he saw her skin, all the bruises and small cuts on it. "Honestly, you probably should see a doctor about all of those." Noticing how she was favoring her right arm, "Mind if I take a look?" He gestured towards it.
Fiona had thought she was home clear, but soon she heard footsteps and words trailing behind her. Taking a deep breath, she readied herself to seem normal as she spun around to face the man. "Oh, I'm fine, really. Just a couple cuts and bruises, nothing big." she answered with a huge smile. However, when he offered to take a look, Fiona became rigid, her eyes wandering everywhere for possible escape.
"Oh, I'm fine, you don't have to. I'll just be on my way and then everything will be just fine. Thanks so much, though!" said Fiona as earnestly as possible, turning away once again.
Trying to make her way back up the stairs, she banged her right hand on the railing, and grimaced. The pain shot straight up to her shoulder and up to her neck, making her reel back for half a second. Recovering, she looked at the man behind her and laughed.
"What a klutz I am, eh?"
Fiona was trying desperately to make light of the situation.

Kaz sighed at the woman. <Why do they feel they have to act tough?> When she bumped her right arm he shook his head and moved closer. "It's dislocated." Kaz popped his own right shoulder out of its socket, which could be seen easily since he wore a sleeveless shirt. "I'll set it for you if you'd like." Kaz popped his arm into the socket. "You'll have a hell of a time trying to do much if you leave it alone." Kaz stepped forward, but stayed out of her personal space.
Fiona sighed as she heard Kaz. It had been precisely her plan to hide out somewhere and pop her own shoulder back in when no one was looking.
"I know it's dislocated. Trust me, I know how badly I need to see a doctor... I spend all my time learning about injuries and how to fix them because I'm scared of the damn doctors. I hate them, I never want to see one, ever. In the old days no one needed doctors, so why need one now?" she said, and looked pleadingly at Kaz.
"Please, just... I don't know. I just don't want anyone making me go see anyone remotely like a doctor."
Sighing, she finally reached the Observation Deck. Nodding to Kaz, she smiled.
"Thank you for your offer... I haven't re-set my shoulder since I was fifteen." she laughed.
Nodding to him, she gave him to the okay to go ahead and set it for her.

Kaz nodded to the girl as she spoke. He didn't understand her fear of doctors, but he could respect it. "Don't worry, if you don't want to go, that's your own choice. You already know it'd be a good idea, even if you are afraid of them." He walked up to the woman, touching her arm he waited for her to brace herself. Gingerly he touched around her arm socket to make sure the angle was right, then placed a hand on her upper arm. Lifting her arm just slightly to get the right angle, "Ready?" When she gave a sign she was, he popped the bone into it's socket with a quick movement, using both the arm and his hand to do the work. Unless you were someone like Kaz, and could easily pop it in and out, it was painful to re-set a bone.
He checked around her shoulder with his hand, making sure it was in the socket correctly, from what he could tell it was. Though due to her slight twitches when he touched, he could tell she was in more pain than she was letting on. "To comment about doctors. Back in the day, there were less things to worry about. Now we've got all this pollution, and other chemicals being put into our food and water, etc. New diseases and viruses. Doctors can help with that stuff. They helped me a lot." Kaz chuckled thinking back to his Jr.High years.
Fiona braced herself for the impact of the bone being set, and moaned with pain slightly as the bone popped smoothly into its socket. It wasn't half as much pain as if she would have had to do it by herself, but the pain was still excruciating.
"Thanks." she said to guy, held out her left hand.
"I'm Fiona, Fiona Ciapercelli. Today is my first day being here and look what trouble I've caused!" sighing, she began to try and get out of the Observation Deck. As she neared the door, she refelxively used her right hand, and as the pain shot through her body she screamed.
Looking around alarmed, she sank to her knees. "All of my ligaments and tendons are completely screwed, I can feel it. God, I don't want to see a doctor..." she whimpered, and sat back on her haunches.

Kaz shook the woman's hand. "Kaz Corydon." He shrugged about the trouble. "Sh!t happens. Don't worry about it." Kaz stepped to Fiona's left side and helped her up. Propping the door open so they could get out. "It's up to you, do and probably get fixed, or don't, and have a busted arm for who knows how long. Besides, how do you know they don't have a mutant doctor who could just," He snapped his fingers, "Heal you like that."
Setsuna watched as Fiona began heading back upstairs to the Observation Deck, no doubt trying to get out. Suna wasn't sure what she should do and didn't think any of them really were. She watched Kaz head after her and decided she'd better call the infirmary. There was a phone in the training room and she picked it up, dialing the number to the infirmary. Thankfully every phone in the hall had a paper above it, listing the numbers to different locations of the mansion.
"Uh, hello? Hi, it's Setsuna. A few of us are in the Danger Room and it seems one of us had it a little rough and needs medical attention. Possible broken bones. Uh huh... Ok... Well, she's still in the Observation Deck. Ok, I'll tell her." She placed the phone back on the receiver and looked back to Karzelek. "The Doc Prof is coming down to take a look at her. They want us to try and keep her here."
Suna jogged up the stairs, but saw Kaz was helping Fiona out. "Wait! The Doc Prof is coming to take a look see." Suna walked up to the two as Kaz braced Fiona. She could see Fiona was favoring her shoulder. "I'm not a doctor or anything, but my mutation can keep you still until the Doctor gets here. He's real nice. He'll fix you in no time, seriously." She put her hand up to the woman's shoulder. "What do ya say?"
Fiona felt the relief course through her veins as she finally made her way outside. Hearing Kaz's words, she smiled at him but shook her head, knowing full well that doctors were nothing but a bunch of screwballs that cared for nothing but themselves and their money. As she became immersed in thought as to where to head to now to care for herself, a pretty Japanese woman came running into the Observation Deck. After hearing what she had to say, Fiona's heartbeat began to go haywire.
'Oh my God, they're bringing one here!! I need to get OUT!'
Smiling relaxedly at the woman, she shook her head once again.
"Oh really, you need not worry about me, I'm just fine! Ah, no thanks, I'm good. You should tell him to head back, alright? I'll just be making my way out and you won't have to think about me at all anymore! Gosh, but so nice of you guys." said an exasperated Fiona, at the point of sheer panic yet looking composed and beautiful as always.
Turning away, she quickened her pace to get as far away from the Observation Deck as possible. Finally reaching the door handle, she made to turn it and leave the damn nervewracking place until she finally sorted herself out. She tried countless times to infuse her power into the people in the room, but something in her had short circuited--the best way to escape this doom was to keep control and just get out.
Fiona was anticipating the worst, as though the doctor was already behind the door when she heard the most wonderful words in the world, spoken in Russian.
She spun around to face her previous Danger Room partner with a large smile accenting her features.
"I would absolutely adore that." she replied in Russian to Karzelek.
Looking at all of them, she nodded her head once.
"I'm going to go ahead and go now, so hopefully we can meet again and do things the right way, huh?" she laughed airily, as relief flooded her.
"So how soon can we go?" she asked Karzelek again in Russian, smiling to the others.
"Whoa..." Kilala said in a low voice as the two disappeared. "Well, guess I will cancel that order for the Doctor. Better go intercept him before he gets down here."
