The X-men run missions and work together with the NYPD, striving to maintain a peaceful balance between humans and mutants. When it comes to a fight, they won't back down from protecting those who need their help.
Haven presents itself as a humanitarian organization for activists, leaders, and high society, yet mutants are the secret leaders working to protect and serve their kind. Behind the scenes they bring their goals into reality.
From the time when mutants became known to the world, SUPER was founded as a black-ops division of the CIA in an attempt to classify, observe, and learn more about this new and rising threat.
The Syndicate works to help bring mutantkind to the forefront of the world. They work from the shadows, a beacon of hope for mutants, but a bane to mankind. With their guiding hand, humanity will finally find extinction.
Since the existence of mutants was first revealed in the nineties, the world has become a changed place. Whether they're genetic misfits or the next stage in humanity's evolution, there's no denying their growing numbers, especially in hubs like New York City. The NYPD has a division devoted to mutant related crimes. Super-powered vigilantes help to maintain the peace. Those who style themselves as Homo Superior work to tear society apart for rebuilding in their own image.

Fiona made her way towards the area that she had been shown earlier in the day was the Danger Room. She didn't know exactly how to work anything, so she looked around for anyone nearby.
"Hey, is anyone around?" she said a tad loudly, hoping someone would hear.
Then, as she waited, she began to think of things... For instance, if she was assaulted, how she might react. Obviously, she'd try to restrain her attacker as much as possible, perhaps a blend of Judo and Aikido would come in handy for that situation... Or, maybe she might try and reason with him... Or her. However, if it was a her, she might have to try a different approach. Looking down at what she was wearing, a darkly patterned Indian wrap skirt and spaghetti strap shirt in a form fitting black, she thought that her attire would never do for combat. Underneath the skirt however she had skin tight stretchy capri pants in a denim black material that she thought might come in handy if she would have been turned away from the Mansion--and would have needed to do some walking to get back to the station where she had departed from.
Removing her skirt, she stayed in in the capris and the tight, flexible top. Nodding, she looked down at her feet and realized she had her standard black flip flops on, and figured that it didn't matter, she'd do whatever she had to do barefoot. At her neck, she had her black leather cord with her prism on it, and depending on the activity within would remove it. But for now, her main concern was getting inside.
Fiona laughed and looked him over. He was a cute one, just her style. "Don't worry about it cutie, I wasn't changing. Just removing an extra article of clothing. And I love your hair." Smiling, she extended her hand to him. "My name is Fiona Ciapercelli. I'm new here, in fact just got here today. I was told about the training facilities by the Headmistress and naturally I couldn't wait to see what they were all about."
Turning towards the training room, she placed her hands on her hips. Looking over her shoulder with a playful grin, she asked, "Do you know... The muffin man? Just kidding, do you know how to work this thing?" Laughing to herself, she realized her joke was probably really immature and lame, but she couldn't help it; she loved random humor a la Monty Python. "Sorry about that, it's just that everytime I say 'do you know' I immediately think of the muffin man rhyme..." she mumbled, and blushing realized she was ranting.
Looking back to the place in front of her, she reamained quiet in order not to scare away her new aquaintance.
Fiona smiled as he went with her muffin man thing. Watching him press buttons, she giggled and went with the mischevious feeling that she loved so much.
5 seconds till session begins... All participants please be ready.
Getting quite excited, she entered. Looking around her there was a gigantic room, incredibly plain. However, the walls were changing with waves of effect and she couldn't help but stare. Remembering that this was going to be a training situation, she looked back at Karzelek.
"You versus me, or us versus whatev--" she was cut off by the sound of the session beginning.
Fiona looked to Karzelek with a face of utter despair. "I-I-I can't do anything! All I can do is charm people... I don't think it works with robots. However, I'm specially trained in the martial arts so..." she trailed off.
Looking all around her, she realized the robots were not going to lessen. "Let's go for the machine! Can you slow down the robots and make it to the machine? I'll go ahead and fight these damn things as best I can. You can do it, I promise you." Her last sentence she infused with her charm to make sure that Karzelek would feel crazed enough to have an adrenaline rush. Nodding to him, she turned her body towards the robots.
As they came at her she began to high kick and use their own impulse against them. Landing two on the floor with a high kick, one managed to get the best of her and take a hold of her forearm giving it a wrenching squeeze that made her grimace. Shifting her body weight, she used a front kick and flipped the robot over, causing its hand to snap off its body. She had barely any time to wrench the metallic fingers off her arm before she needed to turn to her next assailant.
Fiona knocked another round of robots out of the ballpark when she noticed Karzelek had thrown her a staff. Snatching it out of the air, she began to retaliate even harder like she knew how to with her bow staff training, going through the familiar katas like clockwork. As a final one came to her, she swung intensely and knocked his head right off. They weren't too notoriously difficult to beat; however her endurance could only go so long.
"Get to the machine and see if there are any switches!" yelled Fiona in Russian, and quickly realized what she had done. However, remembering Karzelek's accent, she probably had nothing to worry about, he was unmistakingly Russian; hopefully he could pick up on the dialect. It was an old habit she had when fighting to speak in her father's native tongue.
Thinking as she fought, the old saying quickly returned to mind: Trained that way, fight that way... and returned to her endless bashing.
Setsuna walked through the hallways and heard the Danger Room activated. She pushed the button to open the door and looked down from the observation room, seeing two people she'd never seen before. 'This place just keeps getting more residents!' Suna watched as the two were fighting the robots. Apparently they had chosen actual danger instead of simulated and for a moment, she wondered if they had planned this.
Suna grabbed the godmic and pushed down the button so they could hear her from upstairs. She knocked on the window too. "Hey, you guys alright down there??"
Kesuk walked around the halls and exploring becuase he heard there was a training room around. He began looking thru all the doors and at about the 11th one he saw a girl looking down into a window. He walked up to her and decided to introduce himself " Hey Im Kesuk i just got here today. So... what are you up to?" He walked up to here and noticed 2 people fighting robots in a lower level That must be the training room!
Fiona bashed left and right without a second thought. Please let Karzelek get there on time! she thought, and continued. Looking towards the purple-haired mutant, she noticed with relief that he was within operating distance of the machine. As her senses heightened, she heard a voice stream through the room.
"Well, we decided to try out the Danger Room, and these damn things started up!" she answered loudly.
Looking back to Karz, she watched him de-activate the machine and breathed a sigh of relief as she knew she only had to destroy a few more robots that came her way. She soon had them down as Karzelek joined her, and fell to his knees. Standing with a tad bit of a weakened posture, she breathed heavily.
"Quite a workout... Gosh, it's been a while." she whispered to herself as she mended her disheveled appearance.
Kesuk ran down the stairs and to the training room. when he got there the simulation was over and was quite bummed out. " Dang i missed it!" he said with his hand behind his head. Then he fully realized 2 people were already in there "oh sorry to interupt, but i saw this from up there and had to try it out." he said pointing to the observation deck
Fiona nodded at the young man and smiled. "Trust me, you didn't want to have been in here." Looking to Karzelek, she held out a hand to help him up.
After doing so, she walked to the new guy and extended a hand. "I'm Fiona Ciapercelli. I'm new here, and frankly I don't know how to work this thing yet."
After introducing herself, she quickly thought back to what the young man had said. "Observation deck? You wouldn't mind showing me where that is, huh?" Motioning to Karzelek, she hoped she might be able to see the brains of the Danger Room.
"Hello im Kesuk" he responded and smiled. " yah it looked pretty rough, so you wanted to see the observation deck? its right over here" he said pointing and started to walk up the stairs
Fiona laughed and looked exasperatedly to Karzelek. Walking behind the other mutant, she made sure Karz was okay and kept walking. Finally reaching the area a scene that made her clench her palms in slight anger met her eyes.
Before her was a moderately sized room with a large control panel which was clearly marked with the various controls for the room. On the wall was a detailed instruction chart with the settings that were allowed and restrictions, and all the info that Fiona could have used. "Wow, if I only I would have seen this." Reading the chart a tad bit closer, she saw that specifically worded commands could have been issued at the start for a simple sparring match. Then to her dismay, she also read that what she and Karzelek had engaged in was real danger... Looking at her right forearm, she sighed at the oddly shaped handprint left in the matter of a bruise. It was huge, and bothering her already.
"That will most definetely suck when I block an attack..." she thought to herself. Looking back at Kesuk, she smiled. "Would you like to join me downstairs once again in a simple sparring match?"
Turning to Karzelek, she added: "You can join as well, however I think you might need a rest. You look mighty sick." Looking back to Kesuk, she gestured with a flit of her head and headed downstairs.
Kesuk showed her the room and she was reading everything. He then seen her look at her arm and he winced at the size of her bruise. Kesuk also did his share of lookin around, he seen that the room was capable of tons of stuff even making it outdoors in the Danger room (thats what they called it). Suddenly she asked him to a spar. He was quite nervous becuase he never used his mutation to fight, only to help him in everyday life except that time he made it sleet the size of golf balls to his evil math teacher right before he left for this school. " Um ok thats fine but i never used my 'gifts' to fight so...." he said "oh yah can we set this thing outdoors? my powers only work when im outside."
Fiona walked into the Danger Room and exhaled. Now that she knew what the place was capable of, she looked at it with more respect than before. Hearing Kesuk, she turned to him and smiled.
"Neither have I. And sure, of course you can have this thing outdoors."
Remembering what the form on the wall had said, she cleared her throat and spoke.
"Forest simulation please, beginner level, real danger, please."
Listening, nothing happened at first. Then a soothing female voice responded. "Day or night?" it said. Fiona was taken aback at how realistically it responded, however she didn't show it. "Night please." she answered strongly. Soon enough, Kesuk and Fiona found themselves in a picturesque woods, slightly chilly, and well illuminated due to the gorgeously full moon. "The place sure knows how to set a mood, huh?" she laughed to Kesuk. Walking through their newfound woodland, she found a clearing that she could tell was the battle area. A lake was to the left, and the fresh pines surrounded them.
"Shall we?" she asked, and bowed to Kesuk in the traditional method.
Kesuk was awed by the metal room turning to a real forest. He could feel his power thru him since he was "outside" now. " Yeah it does" he said to her question while looking at the moon." lets go" he said also bowing. then he took a stance from his martial arts training. it was a basic one that would allow him to use his oppenents energy against the herself. he prepared for an attack and he didnt know what she what do or what her 'gift' was
